If you catch a trainers pokemon it cancels out any remaining pokemon they may have and finishes of the battle... so gym leaders and Elite 4 become too easy.
Obviously you get no EXP or money.

Skaeryll If you catch a trainers pokemon it cancels out any remaining pokemon they may have and finishes of the battle... so gym leaders and Elite 4 become too easy. And if the trainer doesn't let you catch them, and if the game scolds you, try using Master Balls. The more you use, the better.
