The Emolga grinned in pride at the look of enthusiasm received from Prim for spotting the columns. Clearly, the flower picked up as well what it meant for the pair of them and she couldn’t help but bounce a bit at the thought. The sooner they got up the stairs, the sooner they could get out of this smelly place!
"Hehe!" She giggled, returning the hip bump with a bit of zest, delighted that they would be exiting this awful place soon. They’d have to go down the path of course, but that was fine! At least it wasn’t caked in muck.
Or didn’t seem to be. Ulani had quickly skipped ahead in her rush to try and escape the terrors of this floor, but came to a screeching halt just a good 20 feet short of where the doorway was probably residing. "Oh! Wha…," she muttered in surprise, ears drooping just a bit. There was a long 10 foot wide strip of what appeared to be very deep muck running smack dab through the path that they needed to follow. It was eerie and clearly out of place, but the Emolga didn’t understand how that was so. She looked back and forth, not seeing a clear way around and turned back to Prim in concern.

Dice looked to Cling as he glided just above him, his head tilting to the side a bit. The question was a bit random, but the baby didn’t seem to find, immediately throwing his stubby arms in the air and flailing them about in delight. "Mom-dad!" He chirped happily, picking up speed in his toddling. That being said, he looked just briefly confused at the question. "Mom-dad is… mom-dad! What Noodle mean?" For the first time, the baby seemed to give a little bit of a giggle.
"Mom-dad… tall! Bigger than Dice!" He announced again. He really wasn’t quite sure how else to describe Sebastian. He was kind of a tall, skinny bean of a guy really. With what was it that the cabbage dog called it? "Pwetzel bwaid!" The young Cubone chimed again. Ah yes, that’s what the cabbage dog called the thing that hovered behind the man. He wasn’t really sure what that meant, but it was important! "Noodle wanna meet… wanna meet mom-dad?"

Chickpea bobbed his head up and down, refraining from using his voice for right then, impressed at just how Sir Mogwai had proved himself worthy of becoming a knight. Since they had to do the whole 'protecting those who needed help', it made sense that he'd have prove how strong he was! Though, in Chickpea's opinion Sir Mogwai looked strong enough as it was! He was so tall, and big! If he needed rescuing, and saw him stepping up, he'd immediately feel safe. "I think you make an awesome shield!" he enthusiastically insisted.
Talking about food -- or well, Mogwai was the one who was really doing all the talking -- helped to settle Chickpea's nerves, and it quickly caught his attention too; it was easy, because there was mention of a food he'd never even heard of. He didn't know what a 'masada' was, but it sounded really yummy, it had fruit in it after all! "What kind of fruit do they have in them? Oh, oh! And how big are they? Can you fit a whole one inside of your mouth?!" It was a good thing he'd eaten prior to entering this world, or else he'd be in danger of growing hungry! When he and Dune got back, he'd have to ask Cress to ask Christian to get them some.
Chickpea giggled at both of Sir Mogwai's favorite activities, not because they were silly, but because well... they sounded like a lot of fun! "I love playing with my friends too!" he chirped, then turned his head back to look at the three behind him. "Before this, Dune and I went to this weird... human thing, it was a blast! We got to do so many things, like eat cake and explore this fun little house! We even got to slide down this surprise slide!" he narrated, his head-leaf wiggling with the excitement that recalling such an event brought. Chickpea turned back around, because this wasn't the sort of place you wanted to lose your footing in. "I also love hugs too! They're really nice, and make you feel warm!" Which was exactly the sort of feeling one would want in this sort of environment.
He kind of wanted to ask Sir Mogwai for a hug, but he was carrying Dune and he didn't want to have him put him back down into the mud just so that he could hug him. Maybe when they got out of here though..

For some reason, at Piper's mention of her being too big to be picked up, Vivace found herself giggling. A giggle that ended abruptly in a snort, that she quickly cleared her throat to try and disguise afterwards. "I bet there's a pokemon out there, somewhere, big enough to pick you up," she eventually spoke, hoping this would explain away her amusement. It wasn't that she wanted Piper to be picked up, not after she'd expressed discomfort at the idea, but it was just... funny. A big pokemon like Piper being picked up and cradled like a baby, by an even larger creature. "Are there any spots in particular that you liked being pet in?" Vivace asked Ai, once she'd managed to calm down.
Whatever lingering amusement she had quickly died out, and left the small Togepi solemn, when Piper went into detail about her 'strange habit'; it was just like she said, 'strange', though it was also rather worrying. "Didn't it hurt to pull out your fur?" she asked, hesitantly, and though she didn't mean to she found herself searching Piper's mane, trying to see if she could spot any uneven tufts of fur, or bald spots; she couldn't find either, from her position. It really wasn't healthy, and Vivace wanted to suggest an alternative, but... nothing immediately came to mind. And, it was like Piper had already said, it was hard to get out of bad habits. "...At least you're getting better about it," she eventually commented, choosing optimism over suggestions.

With the exit within sight (or at the beginnings of the exit), nothing was going to stop them! Not even another pokemon that would, undoubtedly, come out to try and stop them! They'd just do to it what they'd done to the last two pokemon, totally beat them and send them running! So, Prim wasn't worried in the slightest. Because, as mentioned before, nothing was going to stop them!
But, clearly, she'd been far too optimistic for this dream's liking's, and it'd quickly found a way to deflate the air from her balloon, metaphorically speaking of course.
Prim frowned, and frowned hard, as she glared down at the strip of muck that separated them from the columns; though a fairy type, and if such a move were possible, she would have burned oozing sludge away with just her eyes alone. Now just how were they supposed to get through this?! Crossing it wasn't an option, there was no telling how deep it was and she wanted to keep as clean as possible. Doubling back and finding a new trail wasn't going to work either, from the looks of this the muck extended quite a far bit. So the only way was through, but not through through.
If she were capable of it, she would've screamed.
Prim forced herself to take a deep breath, and then think of creative alternates. Maybe they could... create their own bridge somehow? Turning back around, she glanced at the nearest tree. Maybe there was a way to... cut it down? There were some trees that looked tall enough to make it across. But... were they strong enough for such a feat? Unsure, but out of other ideas, Prim allowed her energy ball to die out before she tapped Ulani on the shoulder. She pointed out to a tree, then with her free hand mimed chopping it down: keeping her hand flat, but vertical, she brought it down at an angle onto the palm of her other hand.
She then pointed to Ulani, then her cheeks, before trying to mime electricity (which was just a sub-par wiggling of the hand). Maybe if... Ulani struck the trunk of a tree with enough electricity, it'd damage the bark enough for her to use an attack that'd cause the tree to break from its roots and fall over. She had an attack strong enough for such a task... probably.

Shade's attention snapped to Fianna when she elaborated on her raising. "Your family had an interest in spirituality?" they queried with soft interest. Lapsing into a thoughtful silence, they continued listening, but the chengshen's gaze lowered a bit to look at the ground. Blue eyes lifted back to Fianna as she continued with a story, and Shade nodded a bit. "Did you fall?" they asked, tilting their head as they looked back at her, tail swishing a bit. It might have seemed a bit rude or inconsiderate, but, well... Shade didn't mean it that way, and wasn't one to always shelter their words.
They looked over as Xiao Lan offered to sing, and paused, before turning to continue forward again. There was an... odd sensation beginning to creep over them. Eerie, and Shade had a feeling if they were still a danshen, their fur would be standing more on end. Something was... close, and... wrong...

Argo, as to be expected, wasn't paying much attention to the rest of his group. His priority was gathering up any goods he could find and keeping them for himself. However, as he had flown ahead, he caught on to a eerie vibe, like a strange sort of siren's voice. Instead of heading it's call, he turned back towards the group - like hell he'd face something like that by himself. He needed someone else to be the sponge for any damage, after all. "Whatever we gotta fight is up ahead." he squawked, turning around the trunk of a tree before settling on Allure's back for a bit. It had proven to be quite a work out to maneuver his new body in this terrain.

Dotty tilted her head curiously as Piper seemed to figure out what Radium was referring to. "What's a lime?" She asked. She.... Really didn't have very much experience with a lot of produce or berries. Her previous trainer didn't really know how to cook and lived off of packaged noodles mostly. Dotty liked them because they were a lot easier to eat than pokefood kibble, but had little experience eating much of anything else, especially once the old man had passed on. "Pi? Pi isn't something you eat, it's s-something you compute.... R-right???" And what the heck was a lemon? What did food have to do with numbers? This was all very confusing.
Dotty frowned a little as Piper explained how she'd picked up on the habit of plucking out her fur when she got really nervous, and the duosion gave her an sudden analytical sweep, peering closely at her fur. Upon inspection, she noticed the patches of her fur that were a little more uneven than others. She didn't comment, but made a mental note, and just as quickly as she had scrutinized Piper, she turned her gaze elsewhere ahead of them, nodding quietly along with Vivace in agreement. "Yeah. I don't think I've even seen you do it since we got here, which is r-really saying something since we've been in a really s-stressful environment. Y-you should be proud of yourself." She insisted.

Xiao Lan grinned at the prospect of becoming best friends with Fianna. "Yes!!! The bestest of friends!" She chirped gleefully. Still, in spite of her not really paying much attention to certain conversations that didn't engage her childish interests, she was listening as Fianna talked a little about her past. Shade was interested in the fact that her family was spiritual, but she piped up quickly after with a "Woah!!! You tried to climb a big tree? How far did you get? What's expected mean? What's to be expected? I've never climbed big trees before, since I can fly." She babbled a bit. Shade seemed to understand her though, suggesting she might've fallen. "No way! If she fell she woulda died!" Xiao Lan gasped with all the expected shock that a child might have over something so simple.
She then offered to sing again, since that might help fill the silence, and when Fianna agreed, she began to hum along to a different, simple uplifting tune than before while the braixen went to quietly calm Daiki. Shade's attention however seemed to be focused ahead again. Not that it was unusual, but the chengshen seemed... Stiffer than usual. "Shade...? You don't look fluffy any more. Is everything okay?" She asked timidly. Shade seemed to have a sixth sense about these things, so if there was trouble ahead, she really didn't want to accidentally mess things up like before.

Daiki was lost in his anxious thoughts, missing the conversation between his team mates. It was only when he felt Fianna brush against him, taking his hand in hers that he jolted out of his thoughts, stiffening in sudden alertness. He hadn't realized he had gotten himself so tense, so he appreciated Fi being there, trying to help him relax. "R-right.... hah..." he muttered, taking her advice. It wasn't enough to quell all the concern that kept bubbling up inside him, but it was a small step process. ".... Thanks" he breathed, feeling a bit less tense. His ears were still perked and his eyes still locked forward, however. Was that a shadow of movement up ahead? Was it just him that was hearing something like an eerie song coming from the path before them?

Ammy's eyes lit up as Gail mentioned that she could show her a bunch of new foods to try when they get back to the real world. "That would be great! Keeping a steady pace, it seemed a bit easier to keep up with everyone else since he'd gotten used to walking with his new form, that and sliding on mud every so often was... kinda fun.
