Ulani grinned at the thumbs up. She’d been able to just barely make it out in the darkness, but she’d seen it! And to her, that was a mark of approval! Prim was the best at making her feel brave. That’s what flowers did best though, didn’t they? Just make people happy with their presence!
The young Emolga did come to a stop though, tightening her grip on Prim and pointing out into the darkness off the direction that they’d been going. "Flower! Look!" She chirped, frowning a bit and moving just a bit closer to the Florges. Off in the distance, to the side past an area where some of the floating dim lights seemed to congregate at times, was a sort of wispy swirl. It wasn’t exactly glowing, but somehow the fog that created it seemed to stand out against the darkness. It was almost like it was dancing about, slipping from one dark area to another, like a dancing contained snow flurry. It was pretty but also unnerving and Ulani wasn’t sure if that was an enemy to be feared or not.
"Why is everything so spooky, pretty flower? Aren’t dreams supposed to be nice?" She inquired absently, trying to break the silence for the two of them as they walked. Even if she wouldn’t receive answers, it made Ulani feel better to talk and have interaction than just walk in the dark with all the strangeness going on. And if it made her feel better, she was sure it helped Prim too! Even still, she kept her eyes on the strange wisp as well as the glowing orbs. Did caves normally have this kind of stuff? She hadn't been in all too many to know for sure.

Dice narrowed his gaze at the Sableye he’d assaulted, the ghost pokemon stumbling back just slightly from being struck in the square in the middle of the face. That was certainly not what it had expected when it was trying to sneak up on the approaching pokemon.
Dice, however, didn’t hesitate. Recognizing that this was yet again another minion of the nightmare, he gave a squeaky little roar, flailing his bone club in the air once more and chucking it at the ghost once more while it was distracted with the surprise attack from before. It span through the air, once again slamming into the now revealed Sableye before spinning through the air, on course back to its owner. "Bad nighmare!" He squeaked in deviance, managing to just barely catch the bone as it returned to him. Ooo these things were going to pay!

☆ ☆【Piper gave a small smile as everyone in the collective group agreed that they should focus more on staying together, it would likely become increasingly important for them as they kept going through this seemingly dungeon-like dream world. After all, as much as she wanted to hope that any other enemies they might have to fight would be as simple as those Drifloon, somehow she had the sinking feeling that it wouldn’t be quite so easy. The crystalline walls of the cavern around them was awfully beautiful to look at, but the Noivern hardly allowed herself time to really admire the scenery as she was focused far more on keeping watch for any dangers lurking up ahead of them. She gave a soft, warbling chuckle as Dotty agreed with her sentimental statement about them needing to stay together and watch each other’s backs, saying that was what she’d essentially meant. Seemed Dotty had quite a bit of work to do when it came to her inspirational quotes, and perhaps ease up on the self-deprecation a little… Still, Piper could appreciate the sentiment behind it even if the words hadn’t been quite right.
However, focused as she was on paying attention ahead of them, when Vivace suddenly sneezed it startled the Noivern until she found the source of the noise. Not having seen what had happened prior, she wasn’t sure if that sound had actually been a sneeze or not… Still, she offered a ‘bless you’ just in case, it seemed like the right thing to do, while Ai inquired if the Togepi was okay. As unexpected as the sneeze, or whatever it was, had been, Dotty’s reaction had been more so as she suddenly swooped in, cooing at the Togepi about how adorable she was and pulling her into a hug. While the sight was admittedly cute in a way, Piper wasn’t sure how to react to it, and the recipient of said unexpected affection, Vivace, just seemed utterly confused. Dotty appeared to come back to her senses, however, and backed off with an apology for the sudden rashness of her actions. It took several moments before the Togepi accepted it, still rather confused about what had just happened but at least she didn’t seem upset. That was good, right…?
With that apparently settled, with the heat of the moment passed a sort of awkward silence took its place as everyone seemed to just forgo addressing it any further in favor of pressing on ahead. However, it hardly lasted for long as Radium suddenly tripped and fell into a pile of shimmering heart-shaped scales. Thankfully she recovered quickly as she stood back up, though still had one of the shiny things still stuck on her forehead. Piper barely held back the urge to chuckle at the adorably comical sight, instead moving to retrieve the Pichu’s stick that had fallen a bit of a ways ahead of her when she’d tripped and offering it back to her. Thinking about it now, she was honestly surprised that Radium had even held onto it for all this time, then again… even something like a stick could prove to be useful in a place like this. That, and perhaps the Pichu had in a way become attached to it, which the Noivern certainly couldn’t blame her for. Piper smiled warmly as Radium accepted the proffered stick and thanked her, assuring that she was okay. She nodded in agreement with the mouse’s statement about how dark it was in here, even with what little guidance they had from the sparkling crystals all around them. ”Yeah… We’ll h-have to be more careful of wh-where we step, would h-hate for any of us t-to get lost in here,” she added, unconsciously moving closer so that she hugged the wall a bit more just to make sure she’d still be able to find her way around.
”H-Have you picked up on a-anything unusual so f-far, Ai?” the Noivern then asked, turning to glance at the Espeon briefly before focusing back ahead. She wasn’t sure how she hadn’t noticed until now, but there was no fog to be seen here, only all-encompassing darkness penetrated only slightly by the glistening crystals as the faint light from Dotty’s aura bounced off of them. Which meant that surely the Psychic-type would be able to pick up on certain things that they otherwise wouldn’t be able to see with their eyes with her extrasensory abilities, right? At least... she would hope so, if the darkness didn't dampen the Psychic-type's senses like the fog had... A sudden sound from somewhere in the darkness up ahead caught the Noivern’s attention as her ears perked up in high alert, scanning the area before them with a cautious eye. It was rattling, slithery kind of ‘tk tk tk’ noise… it sounded vaguely like… laughter? Thinking back to before, Piper remembered that she and Radium had heard those creepy whispering noises only prior to finding that strange structure with the shadowy Drifloon inside. If that was going to be a common theme every time they were coming up on another foe they’d have to fight, then Piper would make sure to pay more attention to those kinds of cues. ”Th-There’s something up ahead… I h-heard some kind of s-snickering just now,” she spoke up, passing on the warning to the rest of her team as she trained her sharp eyes on the path ahead. A couple winks of sparkling lights briefly appeared ahead of them, blending in with the glistening crystals that littered the walls of the cave. The sinister giggling sounded again, and seconds later the Noivern swore she caught swift movement just beyond the shadows before a few of the gleaming lights disappeared. It happened so quickly that she wasn’t sure if she’d imagined it or not, but already she could feel the shaggy fur of her mane starting to stand on end as her hackles rose in anticipation of danger.】☆ ☆

A new place… Mystery Dungeon Mogwai spies a new friend! Daphnes
☆ ☆【Mogwai kept his focus on the path up ahead, admiring the pretty mix of blue and green light given off by the glowing mushrooms and mosses while he made small talk with his companion. The light from the plants seemed somewhat dampened by the otherwise overwhelming darkness that permeated the cave, but it was at least enough to help them find their way easily enough given that they had no other source of light with them. The Bewear listened carefully as Daphnes pondered his inquiry of if his trainer Temperance was a knight as well before finally answering, saying that her training alongside knights did make her a knight in some way or another. Mogwai nodded in understanding, while Daphnes didn’t exactly give a direct answer as to what Temperance exactly was, the bear was willing to accept the somewhat vague answer for now. ”Teeeeemp gooood shiiiiieeeeld tooooo? Ooooor swooooord?” he asked with a noise of curiosity. Surely someone like her who had trained alongside knights was an expert when it came to fighting and defending, right? Maybe she could teach him how to improve himself in both those things if he were to meet her someday! The thought excited Mogwai as he clapped his paws in delight, he would certainly have to tell Aiden about possibly meeting her in the future when he returned to him.
Of course, when Daphnes then brought up the suggestion of their trainers meeting each other sometime, Mogwai was happy to agree without a second thought. Even though he was still learning more about who Aiden was as a person, the Bewear knew so far that he was very kind, friendly, and easy to get along with. The young man had helped the bear when no one else had, and even offered him a place on his team when he probably could’ve easily left him there in Ilex Forest to rough out a living for himself. That kindness spoke volumes to Mogwai, in a way Aiden had reminded him of his old master… maybe that was also part of the reason why the Bewear had gravitated to him so quickly. He smiled as Daphnes returned the sentiment that Temperance would love to meet Aiden, though seemed caught off guard when the bear mentioned that his trainer had saved him. However, before his companion could ask about that particular sentence, Mogwai went on to ask if Temperance was nice as well. The Bagon hadn’t made any mention of any qualities about her that could be taken in a negative light… He had very little doubts that she was a good person, though he wanted to hear it from Daphnes himself before making any further judgements. His smile grew wider as his partner went on to say that Temperance was honest and kind, two qualities that were becoming harder to find nowadays, especially in humans. ”Soooouuuund liiiiike Aaaaaiiiideeeen toooo,” he added with a nod, bouncing up and down in place eagerly in his enthusiasm, ”Thiiiiink Mooooogwaaaaiii liiiiike Teeeeemp~” Of course, he should probably reserve his judgment for when he would actually meet her in person, but he was willing to take Daphnes’s word that she was indeed a very kindly human as well. Based on that alone, he had no doubts that she and Aiden would become fast friends if they were to meet.
However, his smile gradually faded as Daphnes went on to address the Donphan in the room as he asked what it was Aiden had saved him from. A sense of uneasiness fell over the Bewear as he rubbed his paws together nervously, knowing that telling Daphnes that particular story would also mean dredging up more of those unpleasant memories… Still, in a way he felt like he could trust the Bagon, even if they weren’t necessarily friends they were still partners and brothers in arms. Surely that still counted for something, and part of that relationship meant that they had to trust in each other no matter what, right? ”Uuuuuuh…” Mogwai dithered, averting his eyes towards a cluster of blue mushrooms nearby as he thought it over, ”Kiiiiind ooooof looooong stoooooryyyyy…” It took a couple more moments before he mustered up the courage to look towards Daphnes again. ”Aaaaaaiiiideeeeen saaaave Moooogwaaaaiiii froooom baaaaad meeeeen…” he spoke again, taking a bit more time to think over what he wanted to say and how to best say it given his… limitations, ”Meeeeen noooot niiiiice toooo Moooogwaaaaiiiii… Maaaaade Moooogwaaaaiiii gooooo huuuungryyyy, hiiiiit Moooogwaaaaiiii wiiiith spaaaaarkyyy paaaaaiiin stiiiiicks, foooorce Moooogwaaaaaiiii fiiiiight wheeeeen noooot ooobeeeeeyyy…” He hoped it was coming across like he intended it to, though it was difficult to really describe the horrific details of his imprisonment in the Void lab given his lack of capabilities to do so. ”Theeeeeyyyy tryyyyy maaaaake Mooooogwaaaaaiiii moooonsteeeeer…” the Bewear finally added, shaking his head as he looked to his companion with a solemn, pained expression that was very uncharacteristic of him.
Face dark as repressed anger and sadness began to trickle through his normally cheerful, curious demeanor, Mogwai kept moving onwards while he listened intently for Daphnes’s response. He wasn’t sure what the Bagon thought after all that… maybe he pitied him? Maybe he also felt the Bewear’s anger towards the people who had done all of those awful things to him? The bear wasn’t entirely certain of what to expect… but he would let his partner have his say before drawing any kind of conclusions. In the meantime, Mogwai focused on the path ahead while he tried to fight off all of the negative emotions that were threatening to resurface. It was then that a sudden sound broke through the pregnant silence and made the Bewear’s ears stand up in alarm.
"Hello in thereeee!"
The unexpected noise caught Mogwai off guard, immediately causing him to clench a fist and whirl around in the direction it had come from in anticipation to throw a punch at the potential danger as the voice echoed off the walls around them. It took the Bewear a moment to realize that the sound had come from… behind them? Was there someone else here with them? Maybe Pokemon from another group that were making their way through the cave as well? That sounded about right, Mogwai was certain that if it had been an enemy they wouldn’t have so loudly announced their presence to alert them that they were nearby. It had sounded nothing like the ominous whispering he and Daphnes had heard back in the forest, so whoever it was probably wasn’t a threat, right? Relaxing and releasing the still-loaded punch he had almost used, Mogwai perked his ears towards where the noise had come from, curiosity taking over as he wondered who else was here. ”Heeeeelloooooo?” he called out, listening as his own droning voice ricocheted around the cave in response whoever had called out to them, ”Whoooo gooooooes?” It was hard to gauge how far or close behind them the owner of that voice was, but Mogwai kept a close eye on the dimly lit path the way they’d come in case something came out from the shadows at them.】☆ ☆

How did I come here? Mystery Dungeon Another lost soul? Xiao Lan, Beltigre, Shade, and Daiki
☆ ☆【While their little trio joked around to help lighten up the mood in the face of the dark environment they’d entered, Daiki slipped in a joking remark about how eating nightmares would ruin his ‘girlish figure’. Fianna grinned at that, though Xiao Lan seemed rather confused by the statement. Much to the Braixen’s surprise and amusement, the little Noibat curiously asked if Daiki was a girl in true kid fashion. Fianna clapped a paw-hand over her mouth to hold back an ugly laugh that threatened to burst out of her at that, favoring sniggering into her hand instead as her eyes twinkled brightly with almost childish glee. ”To be completely fair, Kiki could make for a beautiful girl as well as a handsome man~” she said lightheartedly, ”Just a matter of a nice little makeover should do it, I think~”
And in spite of the gloominess of the dark cave ahead of them, Xiao Lan still seemed to make light of the situation in her own childish way as she played around with the echo effects it made when she called out into it. Fianna wished she could do that as easily as the Noibat could, though she was content to join in with the little bat’s antics as she suggested singing to test the musical effects the reverberation would have on it and gave a little demonstration. Xiao Lan liked that idea, singing a few notes of her own to start before singing in a more harmonizing manner, the Braixen humming in contented admiration, flashing a warm smile as the Noibat looked back to her with a triumphant grin on her face.
However, all good things had to end sometime, and the playful vibes gradually faded away as Shade rejoined them. As relieved as Fianna was to see them, the worrying lack of Beltigre’s presence alongside them only grew as the Chengshen recounted what had happened. Apparently the Drifloon had forced the two of them to separate, and the Torracat ended up falling behind. As far as they knew, she was still back there in the middle of all the swarming balloon ghosts. ”s**t…” the Braixen swore under her breath, uncertain of what would be the best course of action as she mulled over their options. On one hand, she was sure that Beltigre was capable of holding her own and would surely catch up to them if they kept going, but at the same time it wouldn’t be right to just move on and leave a teammate behind. Not to mention that Bel was their leader… which only made the thought of leaving her on her own for now that much more conflicting. She nodded as Shade spoke up again, it seemed almost uncharacteristic for the Chengshen to speak so much as they had been mostly quiet during their journey thus far. It also seemed relatively certain that Beltigre would catch up with them if she could take care of herself, but if not… it had mentioned there being several of the Drifloon when it had been separated from her on the field. While they could try to help her fight back against them, at this rate they would probably just waste time, time that they could be using to go forward to try and put a stop to all of this sooner rather than later.
As much as she didn’t want to agree, Fianna knew that Shade had a point. They wouldn’t be getting much else accomplished just by waiting around here, and if they could get to Darkrai quickly enough they would be able to resolve this whole situation in ample time. Still, the Braixen felt that it was best that they make the decision as a group as she asked them for their thoughts, if they felt it was better to wait longer in hopes for Beltigre to rejoin them soon or if they should keep going. Her eyes went to Daiki as he vouched to stay for now, but only because they would probably need to be together for whatever they would encounter up ahead. ”That is true, and we had more or less agreed to stay together from here on out,” she said with a nod of understanding, sighing softly, ”But even so… I feel confident that even just four of us would be capable of holding our own even against any tougher enemies we might come across, though having Bel with us would certainly be good as well…” Shade, on the other hand, expressed that it needed to keep going to try and escape this place as quickly as possible, but offered to try and stay with them if they wanted to wait for their Torracat comrade. So it seemed two of their members had opposing choices, one to stay and one to go… The fire fox glanced towards Xiao Lan, who hesitated as she seemed conflicted on what they should do. Fianna nodded with a smile as the Noibat spoke up, suggesting that maybe they could just keep going but with caution, and that they would keep an eye out for Beltigre along the way. Leave it to Xiao Lan to try and find a happy medium even with a tough decision.
”I agree with you on that, Xiao Lan. We can certainly keep an eye out for her,” she agreed, straightening herself up as she drew her stick up in an almost sword-like fashion, ”As much as I’d hate to leave Bel behind… If she’s more than capable of fending for herself then I have confidence that she’ll find her way back to us soon enough. In the meantime, however, it’s about time we continue proceeding forward… The quicker we move, the sooner we can find and defeat Darkrai and escape this nightmarish world.” Gesturing for Daiki and Xiao Lan to get on their feet again in preparation to move, Fianna held the flaming stick aloft to fight back against the darkness of the cave. ”For our fearless leader Beltigre, we continue onwards,” she proclaimed, stepping forward to head further into the cave while ensuring her teammates followed close by, keeping an eye primarily on Xiao Lan. There was no telling for certain what lay in store for them at the end of this cave, but Fianna felt confident that their team would be well prepared if more trouble happened to find them.】☆ ☆

With the cave or whatever being nearly pitch black, it was clear to Luna that she would have to pick her way through carefully. Argo's cussing after hitting something only served to further the little eevee's concerns. Unfortunately, she had no way to make her own light, so Luna had to carefully shuffle through the darkness in order to avoid bumping into any stalagmites. Things would be so much easier if she could just evolved. Unfortunately, her previous trainer hadn't cared much about raising her, just making her look nice, so she hadn't been able to develop the bond needed before... They got separated. Her new trainer seemed nice enough, but there hadn't been much time for the two to get used to one another. So no shiny rings for her.
Lost in thought and carefully picking her way through the cave, Luna wasn't aware she had caught up with the others until she pretty much tripped over Allure's tail. "Mreep!" The little eevee turned as she fell to keep Argo's flute from hitting the ground. After all, that was the favor the wingull had asked for, and if she screwed up something this simple he almost certainly wouldn't be keen on helping her again, so... She'd make sure she kept the flute safe. Luna let out a couple of cheerful whimpering sounds once she realized who she tripped over, then quickly scrambled to her feet to try and climb up Allure's tail to get back onto her back. It... Wasn't going as well as intended.

Dune alternated between flapping up and flapping forward, and even though he called it a race he focused so much on himself that he didn't really know how close Chickpea was. He was glad when he reached the top, flopping to the ground and pulling in his wings. The lingering adrenaline was definitely gone now. "Th-that was... fun, r-right?" He let out a breathy chuckle.
After a short rest, Dune stretched out fully and followed Chickpea into the cave. It did remind him a little of home, and he definitely felt more comfortable in it that he had in the creepy mist-filled forest. "U-um, it k-kinda does." There were a lot of differences, and this place made him feel uneasy, but it was full of really cool looking rocks! And, um, weird glowing mushrooms. Woah.
Dune jumped when Chickpea shouted, and then when the cave answered back. He looked at his friend, then back into the cave. "Um h-hi...?" he tried, but he wasn't calling out loud or long enough at all. Dune wouldn't really mind if Chickpea took the lead on this.
Listening to the others' conversation made Ai think some light would be good. But they didn't have any- oh, Radium's stick! She began picking up small rocks and parading them in front of her, the gem on her forehead glowing to give her extra light. When she thought found what she was looking for, she struck the piece of flint against the ground, and was satisfied to see it spark. "Let's get a little more light. Radium, could you hold out your stick? I can light an end on fire." It would've been nice if they'd had someone with a fire type move.
”H-Have you picked up on a-anything unusual so f-far, Ai?”
Ai shook her head, sending out another psychic pulse. The longer they went without anything happening, the more she felt on edge. When Piper stiffened slightly, Ai immediately asked, "You hear something?"
”Th-There’s something up ahead… I h-heard some kind of s-snickering just now.”
Well, that's unnerving. "Snickering... do you know how far? I can't sense anything.."

Prim squinted into the dark, and in the direction Ulani pointed to, and pulled back some when she saw spinning... glow-in-the-dark dust particles? She wasn't sure what to identify it as, but seeing it certainly didn't fill her with any comfort. It was a shared feeling amongst the duo, and with her free hand Prim gave Ulani's head a quick pat. Uuuughhh, the longer they stared in this cave the more eager she became to leave it.
But, she was keeping her bravest face on! Remaining cool and wholly indifferent, at least on the outside. Prim kept an eye on the 'swirl' as she continued moving them along, careful to keep some distance between them and it. With her eyes in constant motion, rather than just staring ahead, she quickly became aware of the grouping of crystals along the wall, different from the stones that lit their path they still managed to catch the light to reveal the harder edges of their form.
As strange as they were, at least they weren't moving, and in a bid to try and cheer Ulani up with something not 'spooky', she pointed them out to the young squirrel.

"It was a lot of fun!" Chickpea assured, in between breaths, and his head-leaf wiggled happily. Once they were revitalized and ready to take on whatever came next, they were braving the next floor, which just so happened to be a cave. "You must be really glad that we're going in this then!" Chickpea, who didn't recognize his friend's hesitance, offered Dune the chance to take the lead, since he was the cave expert; though not before calling out into the cave, as was customary when one entered.
But... having the cave call back wasn't what usually happened! Chickpea gasped, even that sound bouncing off the cave walls, before giving an excited trill; that was so cool! Now, this was probably wasn't the work of the cave itself, dream or not caves didn't talk, but rather a pokemon that was farther ahead. Probably a big pokemon too, given how deep his voice was! "My name's Chickpeaaaaa!"'Chickpeaaaa' 'Chickpeaaaaa!'
Haha, echoes were great!
"What's your name?" Although he had fully intended on letting Dune take charge, his excitement got the best of him, and Chickpea found himself bounding ahead to try and find the source of the voice; besides, there were more of those glowing mushrooms to help him see ahead. Though he still held tight to his. For a full minute that was all he could see, mushrooms and the cave, before a gigantic figure became visible from just up ahead. "Hello there!" Chickpea called out, and waved his mushroom in greeting.
As he drew closer he realized that there wasn't just one pokemon, but two! A big pink pokemon, and a small, red one too. "It's me, Chickpea!"

For all her staring, Vivace didn't gain the ability to see in the dark. Which was a shame, because she certainly tried her hardest. So, she really would have to rely on Piper and Ai to keep her updated on what lay ahead; and there was definitely something ahead. Briefly distracted by Ai's sudden lighting of Piper's stick, with the use of some impressive psychic abilities, Vivace frowned at the sound from... well, she wasn't exactly sure where it was coming from. The warped laughter sounded as if it was coming from up ahead, but in the cave the noise bounced off the wall and gave the impression of coming from everywhere. From ahead, to the left, to the right, and even.. from beneath them?
Vivace, though she stared where she was atop of Ai, couldn't help but to lean forward lightly. "Look at all the crystals," she muttered gently, not wanting to pull their full attention away from the unknown entity (or entities), but... it was something to note. What had once been just a few crystals littering the wall here and there, had now become a solid wall of crystalline and continued on as they went.

Gail beamed at the praise, giggling and tossing the hair-like extension towards Ammy's paw. "Hehe! Thanks!" she replied, before blinking, and tilting her head to the side. "... What does winter smell like?" She paused and looked back into the tunnel, tail swaying. "The boys haven't caught up yet, Ammy... What should we do?" she added, forcing herself to sober up a moment. It had been quite a bit... and now that she was evolved, honestly, she wasn't sure what to do. And, well... she was getting a bit antsy. She liked to keep moving.

Noodle-- er... Cling, blinked a bit at Dice's assumption. "Uh.... Huh? I mean his wrist, sometimes, and when I electrocute him pretty well but--" Cling was sort of teetering off anyway, when something caught his eye, and he looked over at the same time Dice did. However, unlike the young tot, his guard immediately rose, and he arched back apprehensively at the sight of something glinting in the darkness. He blinked as Dice hurried ahead, though, and quickly turned with a leap, trying to catch up to the baby pokemon, and stop him. "Dice, wait!" he called quickly, but he was cut short as another of the shadowy sableye leaped into his way, as Dice took on another. Cling grimaced, swinging his wings up to try and stop himself, and quickly swung his tail out from under himself to hit hard on the ghost-types chin.

Shade looked between the group as they all seemed to consider what to do. They looked at Xiao Lan as she suggested going cautiously but looking for Beltigre, and the chengshen smiled a little, almost unnoticeably, moving to gently bop noses. "Of course." They would still look for Beltigre, individually and as a group, just as they would look out for each other while they traveled. The chengshen shifted focus to Fianna, and it seemed she agreed to move on. Nodding, Shade seemed to fall back more towards their quiet selves, having not much else to say on the topic. However, with that decided, they did turn, and quickly trotted, low to the ground, up ahead. Their eyes glowed through the dark, and it almost seemed that small wisps of faint blue light emanated from the runes on their body. Shade wasn't quite able to completely detach body and soul, but they were close, and the need to press forward, to end this, and to protect those they were traveling with boiled inside. They needed to keep pushing ahead, and getting stronger.
