Making her way back to the table, Sulmanon folded another red paper lantern, but this time she decorated it with leaves. When she was satisfied with her work, she took it away from the table and tried to light it. Like the previous lantern, it decided not to light on her first try. After pulling off some of the leaves to see if that would make it light easier, Sulmanon managed to light the lantern and set it aloft. Watching it float up, she had to cringe a little. The lantern was floating, but it looked bedraggled and singed, she had not done as good of a job with this one as she had with the one before it. Just when she was turning away to head towards the grab bags, someone plopped yet another crown on her head. She was getting quite a collection of those. Still kind of wondering where all of the flower crowns had come from, Sulmanon walked over to where the grab bags were and reached her hand into one. Feeling around, Sulmanon was confused at first as to what she was feeling, so she upended the bag and found that her bag had probably been a never-ending bag of packing peanuts. She continued dumping it out, and filling up the table with packing peanuts, till yet another of those flower crowns landed on top. Righting the bag and handing it back to the nearby kitsune, she wondered how many of these exactly she had received. Deciding to go check, she left the booth. "Hm. Yeah." He wasn't quite so selfish and unobservant that he had failed to notice she hadn't been around for a time, but he supposed he hadn't anticipated it would matter much when it came to her education. West didn't often think on the subject of his own intelligence, but he was just smart enough to realize he didn't pick up on things as quickly as other people did. Even with her break, he had assumed it likely she would still be on par with him as far as learning was concerned. "Well, I'm glad yer back, anyway," he said, roughly patting at her hand. "An' even if it takes a bit, you'll be out there soon too, away from booths an'..." He gestured at the festivities. "I still dunno how I volunteered for this." He snorted and shook his head. "Guess it doesn't matter. Maybe someone'll give me work 'cause I know how t'run a beholder race." Not that he didn't have access to all the money he could need through his parents or the dubious promise of a job as a junior Trick-or-Treater waiting for him out in the world, but if he had learned one lesson here, it was that things fell apart. He had to be ready for anything. The beholders, having learned that they were expected to fly around the track when seeds were laid down in front of the boil, did so twice more, with Spades pulling out front both times. This was it. Her last chance to "Strike it Rich". It looked like a lot of the booth's were closing down as the actual holiday of Halloween was over. Lyca looked at the wheel with narrowed eyes, " Come on wheel. Work with me here." Taking a deep breath she gave a strong pull. The sound of the wheel clicked as it spun round and round. Well, she gave it her all and that was that. There was always next year! Lycanian smiled at the thought of next year. This had certainly been fun times~ Maybe by then she'd gain some friends as she wasn't so lucky this year. She looked around once more to capture the moment before walking away from the demon booth.

Kari walked up to the deserted wheel once more and gave it a spin...
Apparently, luck wasn't on her side today. The wheel slowed, and she watched as it landed on a losing space. Maybe her luck was starting to wane...

Picking up a chainsaw once more, Kari tried to carve another block of ice...
The keyword was tried. The puddle that resulted couldn't have been farther from success. Today really wasn't her day...

I AM BETTING ON Spades![Enters] Sulmanon was not too surprised when she was told the the beholder she had bet on had come in third, after all, she was really not one for betting. Looking at the prizes before her, Sulmanon decided to grab one of the flower crowns she didn't already have, because, since she already had most of them, why not try to collect them all? Once she had reasoned this out, and grabbed the green flower crown, Sulmanon looked over the beholders again and decided on something she thought was a safe bet, namely: the winner of the previous race. After walking away from where the prizes were being handed out for the beholder racing, Sulmanon headed to the wheel again to see if her luck would hold or change. As it turned out, it held. As the wheel slowly came to a halt right on a prize slot, Sulmanon just blinked in amazement. Still stunned at the fact that her luck had held, Sulmanon walked up to the table where she had crafted lanterns on several days before and randomly grabbed a piece of paper to fold into a lantern. Once that was done she grabbed a nearby decal, slapped it on the lantern and, calling that good enough, tried to light it, only remembering last minute that she was supposed to take it away from the table to light it and stopping herself. As it turned out, she had no need of worrying about lighting it at the table, because, in her daze, she had forgotten to add a lighting mechanism. Having the lighting mechanism made a big difference, because, once it was lit, it glowed brighter than many of the other lanterns and floated up to meet them. Quote: Lighting:You light it perfectly and it gently floats up to join the others. It seems to be shining. You win a Raffle Ticket!

Surprised that her first attempt for the day had gone so well, Sulmanon decided to make a second lantern. This time, she grabbed a black piece of paper and layered it with glitter before folding it into a lantern shape. Once that was done, she took it away from the table to light it. This time, it was not her imagination that it glowed brighter than the others, with that much glitter, it was hard not to.
