6ft Under She Gone Kill Me For That Paper ᐧ ᐧ ᐧ ᐧ ᐧ ᐧ ᐧ

An overwhelming, mounting dread became the girl's primary emotive state as she looked at the message she had been delivered, intercepted on her way to the dojo. What became of him... how... the questions rolled in through the back door of her racing mind. "This is a joke, a lie," she said to no one as she bounded down the busy streets, ramming right through the would be blockades she saw, sometimes goving over them and occasionally under. Principles she had learned during schooling with her only real friend, principles of motion she had learned in the homeland before devoting herself to Jashin. Her god, the god of death, had chosen to call someone to the fires of the afterlife, and she couldn't wrap her head around it. With every impact with the ground her face grew more indefinable. Was it rage, sadness, fear? Was it a sort of mixture? A compound? She all but shoulder charged her way into the hospital, her necklace colder against her neck than the religious symbol had ever been. The moment she stepped in the light assaulted her eyes, far too bright. The pain scattered from iris to optic nerve, forcing her to stop short of the desk and shake her head.

Before the clerk could ask, Kya blurted out her purpose. "A body was brought in. Oga Same, I received a message to confirm it's him." She was surprisingly calm even though she was visibly shaken. The woman typed a few keys into the computer, and then stood, leaving her partner for the moment and leading Kya down the hall. "We were called because he simply fell to the floor clutching his chest. Dead before he hit the ground. If it is your friend, I am sorry." Kya almost bit the woman's head off. Instead she nodded as she looked through the glass at the body under a sheet. Proper height, and she could see the size of his feet. She never looked at the boy's feet besides to dodge his kicks, and somehow still she knew. As the nurse peeled back the sheet from his face... Kya didn't move. She didn't think. All became quiet.

Her head solemnly nodded. Confirmation. She moved into the room slowly, like she was dragging behind her a mountain. That mountain, she slowly realized, was neither fear nor apprehension or anger but rather it was resentment and guilt in equal measure. As that feeling creeped up her spinal column she looked on his face, ignoring the nurse's words before she closed the blinds. Her eyes grinded against his every feature, waiting for him to open his eyes. The stinging in her own was insurmountably awful by now, but she was too distracted by her lack of understanding of the situation. She knew death intimitately enough to know one day he would be gone, likely by her hand in fact if history yhad anything to say about the curse they both bore. She too would succumb to Jashin's final will one day... but... how she felt was pointedly foreign. She had learned to ignore pain and sorrow the hard way. The monk's, shamans and priests always beat it into her. So as she felt a tear roll down her cheek as slowly as a single rain drop falls down a window, she moved her hand to touch Oga's face and felt the lack of warmth. She decided then this was the first appropriate time to cry she had allowed herself in a decade and a half. Curiosity at whether or not it could help her took over, and she let the water works flow, allowing her true emotional breadth free reign.

And cry she did. He was gone, truly. His laugh and dejected attitude was silenced before it's time. His skill with a sword, his potential so unfairly robbed. His mother and father... they would be here soon and they woulkd likely have nothing but indecorous words for Kya but they would feel it so intensely. As she stopped choking back her tears and let the first sob out the pain in her skull exploded and for the first time ever the reality of death really slammed into her. The reality of his death specifically crushed the pieces. Her best friend. Her brother. He was gone. She gritted her teeth, coughing out sobs that were more akin to screams. Lonlieness then really set in. Chet didn't understand her. Not like he had. Ivi was her leader, not her friend. Chet... he was her only companion in these... unfamiliar places. She gripped his hand, feeling sorrow storming the gates of her heart, defeating the once impenetrable barrier as he had when she allowed him in. She grew cold as well, screaming into his chest. Waiting for him to tell her to shut up or to berate her in the way Samurai do without ever making you feel like they did. The pain came to a head.

In her brain and her heart.

And then she made the choice to silence it. She stood up, feeling more focused than she ever had. She could feel the pain in her face drain out through her eyes, compiling into one singular point of ocular clarity. She opened them, seeing the world anew. The trauma of losing him... it destroyed her in a way she didn't think possible. It did the unthinkable... turning Kya human. She looked to the sky, seeing dust particles as they floated by, able to count the clumps she could see. Her eyes followed a fly that had infiltrated the room so keenly that even she was surprised. It dawned on her that the immortal curse of the Uchiha was what had transpired. For her to grow... Jashin had given her Oga and then taken him from her. He was cruel, he was destruction... but he was also truth. Of the five gods that made up her pantheon he, perhaps more than all but Magatai himself, was the most direct. She pulled the sheet over his face once more, and stepped from the room. The nurse jumped when she saw Kya;s face, but Kya ignored her as she was led to the doors.

Her eyes had been awakened at last.

And she would have never asked for it to happen like this.

Mihoko Suzu Genin - D Rank
Ninjutsu/Ninjutsu Class || 505/505 Chakra || 75/75 Stamina ||

Mihoko was excited for her new position at the hospital, it would be a good learning experience, and the hospital was open to it as there wasn't too much a shinobi could learn while on the field. Her current position was to do paperwork for the busier psychiatrists and come to conclusions about the patients based on the criteria they met. [1/3]

She looked over the first account about an individual claiming they were feeling hopeless, completely miserable and very numb on the inside. Like they couldn't feel happy, they felt isolated and like there was no one who understood them. Mihoko looked over the reports that their doctor left, claiming that the individual seemed very nervous and couldn't stop tapping. Mihoko began to look through the various criteria. [2/3]

The logical conclusion she could pull from this was that the individual in question was depressed, although it was most likely fairly moderate. It didn't seem to be impacting their work, but it was affecting their close friendships, relationships and their mood. She quickly jotted down that it was most likely that the individual was depressed. [3/3]

Mihoko moved into the office where she was required to help out for the various patients that came through. She didn't get a choice in much of her work, although the paperwork was for fairly simple things. She moved through the doctor's office, the said man was in the private compartment, most likely looking over some of the notes he recorded. [1/4]

Mihoko cleaned the bed that the patient was required to lie in, straightening up the sheets and cleaning the piece of plastic that went over the bedding. She sighed as she pulled the covering off, and began to gently clean it with a few of the baby wipes in the room, making sure there was so creases or signs of anyone else being on the piece of plastic. She then straightened the bedding sheets under it and placed the plastic covering over it. [2/4]

Mihoko then adjusted the notes that were on the doctor's front desk, she kept all of the scripts together and adjusted the papers and information that he would give to patients so they were organised and easy to find. She placed them back into the binder where they belonged, she slid them into the correct places and then put the binder on his desk so he would be able to find it easily. [3/4]

Finally, she collected all of the needles that had previously been used. She disinfected the pieces and then got out fresh needles ready with possible vaccinations that he may need to give out. Along with this she took the samples of the blood tests that she would need to deliver later on. She put them in a small basket, and made sure there was clean needles available in order to take out more blood. [4/4]

Diagnosis and Purification [1] - Complete

Mihoko took the vials full of blood down to the other office she was required to drop them off. The research lab was relatively quiet, and she knew that it was usually like this as they were all a hard working and dedicated bunch of people. She placed them in the slot that was for blood that hadn't yet been analysed and took the reports that were waiting to be dropped off to the various doctors around the hospital. [1/4]

She walked through the various corridors, they were confusing to say the least, but they went around in a block. Mihoko looked through the various envelops that she had received and pigeon-holed them through the doors of the doctor's who were waiting on the said blood tests. She walked around the first floor, and managed to drop off three of the ten envelops. [2/4]

She walked up the stairs to the second floor, there were a large amount of steps that seemed almost absurd. She ran up the stairs as she reached the top of the floor. She was in the emergency area, and that meant she needed to drop off the blood tests as quickly as she possibly could. She reached the reception desk, and handed the envelops to the receptionist. [3/4]

She finally moved up to the nursing area, it had a much more colourful and cheerful vibe than the rest of the hospital. It was coloured in bright colours with pretty designs, as it was for the children and elderly. She walked through, noticing a few nurses helping sickly children or otherwise abandoned children. She dropped the rest of the envelops off to the nurses she was required to visit. [4/4]

She quickly arrived to the doctor's office. She was acting as a student for the mean time, so as soon as she arrived she was sent out to collect the patient. She was working with the nursing unit in order to get a better understanding of diagnosing patients and helping them. An elderly man followed her as they entered the doctor's office. [1/3]

He was complaining of feeling dizzy and tired most of the time, and that his joints hurt. Apparently he felt very weak and hazy. Mihoko helped the doctor by taking his blood pressure and withdrawing some blood from the target to check for his thyroid playing up and his iron levels. Mihoko took notes of what the man was complaining about while the doctor ran the blood sample down. [2/3]

The man, Setsuba was a proud man who used to be a shinobi back in his day. Mihoko went through the general health questions with him until the doctor returned with the information about the blood sample. As she had suspected, he was low in iron. Mihoko wrote a script for iron tablets to help with his anaemia. [3/3]

Diagnosis and Purification [2] - Complete

Mihoko looked over the various documents that she was given. She flicked through the files that she was given to look through and to reach conclusions to. With boredom, she spun around in her chair and opened a file that was given to her, marked with urgent. The file was rather extensive and there was bookmarks of important places to read. [1/3]

Mihoko read through it as the patient seemed to be struggling with up and down moods, severe depression and severe euphoria. No history of drug abuse, and they seemed to have a fear of abandonment. It struck a chord within Mihoko as she continued reading. Apparently they were quite agitated and had self destructive behaviour, they were deemed a danger to themselves. [2/3]

Their family had a history of borderline personality disorder as well as depression and anxiety. Mihoko considered it for a moment before turning to the brain scan, there she could analyse there was an underactive part of the brain which was associated with feelings. Judging from their very extreme moods and the brain scan, the fact they seemed to meet the criteria well, she diagnosed them with bpd. [3/3]

She smiled as the patient she sat with successfully managed to take their blood tests, the patient in question was rather scared of them but managed to do well with the help of herself and the doctor. He seemed to be rather shaky afterwards, so they sat him down to distract him with questions, making sure he was fine to go home and wouldn't faint or anything. [1/4]

He was generally responsive, he just seemed to be a bit out of it after having his blood drawn. The paleness in his face seemed to disappear with time and he stopped being so sweaty. He managed to answer all of the questions asked to him and he managed to fill out the piece of paper provided to him. [2/4]

Mihoko then took the male out of the room to make sure he could get home without any issues. The man was still slightly shaky, but luckily he wasn't falling over or collapsing from shock. He kept small talk with Mihoko as she kept calm and led him out to reception where his family was waiting for him. She handed him off to an elder woman who she assumed to be his grandmother. [3/4]

Mihoko then walked the two of them out of the hospital to make sure they would be ok, she didn't feel as if the little old lady would be able to carry this boy home on her own. Mihiko gave out a warning about him possibly fainting and when the lady assured her that she would be ok dealing with her son, Mihoko smiled and sent the two of them on their way. [4/4]

Diagnosis and Purification [3] - Complete

Mihoko swabbed the next patient's infection carefully with antiseptic. She had arrived a little late from making sure the blood test boy would be okay on his way home. So the doctor had already made the diagnosis that the individual had a piercing infection, even though it was obvious from the appearance of the piercing. [1/4]

Mihoko had a few piercings in her time, and none had ever gotten that bad that they needed to be taken out. It was a belly button piercing that the young girl had, and they were prone to getting infected if they weren't taken care of properly, or sometimes the body would just reject the surface piercings as metal isn't supposed to be in the human body. [2/4]

She carefully undid the top bulb of the piercing, and gently slid the piercing out of her belly button, trying to make sure she was under as little pain as possible. It was red and very irritated, with a lot of pus that would need to be cleaned. Mihoko carefully cleaned the infection, making sure that all the puss was out and it wouldn't make the infection worse. [3/4]

The girl winced when she put on the antiseptic, although she was thankful that Mihoko was as gentle as possible. Mihoko smiled at the girl and cleaned up the infection. The swelling was going down and it didn't look as red anymore. The doctor looked over her handiwork of the infection, and nodded, carefully getting out some of the pus that Mihoko wasn't able to get. [4/4]

The next patient was called into the doctor's office, she was a middle aged woman with thin features and two large brown eyes, she had mousy brown hair and was quite frail looking. She seemed to look around the room somewhat nervously and coughed, it sounded very dry and very harsh. [1/3]

She took a seat and nervously fiddled her fingers. She was dressed in a warm jacket despite the fact is was a fairly nice day. She complained that her muscles were rather sore, and that she had a temperature. She had a runny nose and was constantly sniffling the whole time, until Mihoko offered a tissue, which she graciously took. [2/3]

She complained of feeling sick and having hot and cold flashes. She complained of a very bad headache that didn't seem to go away, and a lot of dehydration. Mihoko looked at the woman with a kind smile. "It seems as though you have the flu, it will improve with rest and fluids." Mihoko explained to the sickly looking woman. [3/3]

Diagnosis and Purification [4] - Complete

Mihoko read over the report she was given, she looked at it carefully reading the various notes the doctor had written down as well as the information that the patient himself told the doctor. The patient's main issue was feeling that he was unable to get a girlfriend and he was feeling very depressed because he felt like a failure. The patient talked about loneliness he felt, and that he felt isolated from others. [1/3]

In his own words, the patient described himself as "the supreme gentleman", and could not see any reason as to why girls wouldn't want to date him. Although he expected females to throw themselves at him, and he never actually tried to communicate with females out of fear of rejection. He spoke of how he deserved a chance, and Mihoko noticed the clear sense of entitlement he had. [2/3]

The Supreme Gentleman went into detail about how he would become famous, that he would be recognised and the world would one day view him as a god. The doctor noted that The Supreme Gentleman couldn't handle criticism at all, and viewed himself as above everyone else. Mihoko snickered, amused by The Supreme Gentleman and put down Narcissistic Personality Disorder. [3/3]

The man in the room was uncomfortable to say the very least, he was crossing and uncrossing his legs constantly. It was fair, as he complained of having diarrhoea, and was probably on the verge of having an accident. Mihoko kept a straight face, feeling sympathy for the man, knowing how uncomfortable it is to have such a thing in public. [1/4]

The man clutched his stomach as he complained of having intense cramps and feeling nauseous, Mihoko handed him a sanitary vomit bag for him in case he did vomit, and directed him to the toilets within the office in case he truly couldn't hold it. He complained of feeling dehydrated and having a lack of appetite, as well as getting cold chills. [2/4]

He claimed that he had lost weight since the first four days he had this, and he was feeling rather light headed. He felt drained and very tired, and that he could only get out of bed to go to the toilet. Mihoko took his heat rate, to find it was rather fast. Without a second to waste, the man jumped from the chair and bolted into the toilet. [3/4]

The doctor and Mihoko waited patiently for him to come back out. It was clear that it was gastro, although the man just wanted to double check that it wasn't anything for him to worry about. Mihoko wrote out a script for antibiotics when he returned as well as suggested some diarrhoea medication that he could easily obtain. [4/4]

Diagnosis and Purification [5] - Complete

Man, was Kya gonna feel stupid here soon. Not him though. He never felt stupid. Even as he hobbled into the Emergency Room, pretty white yukata stained with his blood from his heinous burns on his back and left arm, leaning his good arm on a shakujo he stole was borrowing. He waved like an idiot to the nurses, who were taken aback for a good second before hurrying into action.

Kanzaki was hauled up and put on a stretcher first and foremost, removing his tattered top and leftover robe. An IV went into his arm, a needle into his neck,
and he was out like a damned light. Burns hurt, and some people didn't have a Kyuubi anymore, so he had to heal like normal suckers. At least by knocking him out they could do what they needed to without him squirming around. [1/4]

They had no one on staff, let alone in the entire village, that knew the regenerative techniques needed to fix Kanzaki up completely. They started doing what they could, which was keeping him in the coma while they went to a sterile room and suited up. The first thing they needed to do was scrub away the completely dead skin that had been burned black. Doctors started him on units of blood to replace what he was going to lose just from the cleaning they needed to do. [2/4]

Once the surgeons arrived, the real fun began. Donor skin was on hand, and they had the know-how to graft it rather quickly. By sight alone the surgeons were measuring and grafting skin to put over his back and shoulders, the flesh going on clear, while nurses using their healing chakra over the areas when the doctors were done. This way a ninja could be halfway recovered, at least physically, by the time they woke up. [3/4]

The final portion of the procedure was to heal the skin of his arm. The grafts they used were much smaller, and thankfully his hand and fingers had avoided most of the serious damage. Care had to be used since the arm had a greater range of motion than the torso did. Rolling him to his side and lifting his arm into the air they managed, all the while coating his new skin in light green chakra. [4/4]

(Gaia ate half my post)

Warned he would need time, but he would heal yet be scarred, he recovered Kya's Shakujo and departed.

Finally bringing Ayame to the hospital, Kanzaki was on the lookout for a gurney. With so many people injured in the attack, it took him a while. Thankfully, Ayame was resting, albeit bleeding on him. When he finally managed to find one, he laid her down.

He grabbed a large bundle of fresh bandages he found. He'd need to wipe away the blood on her and change the bandages over his arm. Tearing at them, he wrapped and unwrapped his burned left arm. Then he secured and put on some gloves.

Most of the worse bleeding had stopped. It was the small stuff he'd have to clean and clear. He set about wiping away all the blood on her arm. Then Kanzaki stifled what was left by pressing fresh wrap into it.

He sloughed off the old gloves and fetched a new pair along with some wire and hook. The hook he dipped in some scavenged alcohol, as well as the wire. He slipped the clean gloves back on, looped the wire through his finger. He laid a clean cloth over her midriff and placed the bandages there.
[Purification]

Nameless to him, this girl was easy on the eyes. Ayame didn't seem to have anything that would cause her to faint. The most obvious was the gash along her right arm. He picked the limb up and turned it, gauging how back it was.

Kanzaki put his cheek up to her nose to feel her breathing. His right hand reach down and grabbed her by the thigh, feeling for her pulse in the femoral. Activating the Sharingan, her chakra looked normal enough. He checked over her skin for bruises and cuts.

"Gotcha" Her left hand was blue and swollen around the palm. He gave each of her fingers a quick tug encase they were dislocated. By now an actual nurse had shown up to take over his first aid. "Laceration on her right arm, broken left hand, or at least her little and ring finger. Nothing else unusual."[Diagnosis]

The actual medic got about to setting her broken bones and stitching up her gashes, using the supplied Kanzaki had utilized and set aside, as well as healing chakra to truly close her wounds. He'd have a bit of a sigh and walk over to a corner window in the hallway where he could watch, and lit himself up a cigarette. By the time anyone would notice either he'd be done with it or she'd be awake.

The nightmares came and went in between states of blackout and sleep, pain came and went along with the emotional throes wracking the state of the Raigyo's dreams and nightmares. Last memory it was a fleeting image of the chaos at the mines resurfacing. She fought mentally against different states of being, the burden from others weighed heavily on her heart even her soul. Last she remembered, she felt on the ground back at the mines on the cold hard ground with the last of the hostile creatures dispatched.

The medic had done work on her body as the unknown man had brought Ayame to the hospital. Various wounded and even some from the very dojo where Ayame first endured the chaos were there, treatments going to the most critical and the ease of suffering ongoing. Compared to most of the victims from the mass attack, Ayame had the benefit of being able to defend herself while others were not so lucy - or talented. She turned a bit once the medical shinobi had finished with the current healing her eyes opened slightly to see she was in a new location and not a field medic's tent this time.

Pain was all she had been feeling the entire time as she woke from her black out, the body weighed like wet sand with joints stiff like cardboard. She looked over the room a bit more with a few turns of her head, grunting slightly as she strained to sit herself up. To no avail, her body was too fatigue from the healing technique she used on everyone in the dojo as she slumped back down with a silent curse mouthed with lips.

"All those people." Ayame said, blinking once as she thought back to those she felt get snuffed out and now she turned her eyes to the man with the cig. "I've seen you at the office." Was all she said as she searched the room with her eyes for her sword. It wasn't there, had it been lost?

She tried to sit up one more time, picking herself up into a sitting position for a moment but again slumped backward with a heavy thud followed by her cry of pain. "Damn it." She said, cursing herself for have using the technique now as she still felt the burden she carried washing over her. Then it hit her, and her eyes widened for only a brief moment.

It was a hospital. Hospitals had lots of dying and pain. She stopped herself cold then from further attempts to move or strain herself. Her gaze went away from the room and toward wall away from everyone else.

"I hate Hospitals. Clinics. It frightens me being in one." Ayame explained her fear if someone were to ask her, then she looked at the familiar face again and blinked her clear blue eyes at him.

"So why take it upon yourself to bring me here alone?"

Too angry at the time to remember anyone but those he yelled at other than Kisuke, Kanzaki didn't lend a response to Ayame's statement once she was awake. She couldn't even sit up, cursing her own weakness. It was amazing they were all even alive, since they couldn't do a damn thing to those who crippled their village. He kept puffing away at his smoke, hiding it beneath his palm whenever staff walked by. Apparently she hated hospitals. Again, she was alive though.

But then he was asked why. Why, indeed? Her chakra was unusual, and her skill set was something he saw promise in, reminding him of his own that he valued just above the Uchiha blood. She'd fought to exhaustion despite the risks, putting out all of her effort, giving everything up to her life. He'd need to put together a team to train if he wanted to progress further and lead by example, and she'd caught his eye. He didn't know or trust the others well enough, let alone the ANBU, to leave her with them after she fainted from injuries and stress, so he brought her here himself. All valid reasons.

He didn't wear his headband after the exams, having thrown it into the sea prior and opted out of the Chuunin vest others wore. Half his damn clothes had been burned or cut away as bandages, much like she presumable lost hers in the attack. Why? He went with a lie. He put out his cigarette and walked over to the side of the room she was looking toward, sitting against the wall, taking unused bandages to wrap up his burned-a** left arm.
"Because life is short and you are really hot. I am Chuunin Yoriyoshi Kanzaki-no-Kami Uchiha no Konohagakure. Let me take you to dinner sometime."

So there was a lot of things to process all at once with the hospital, the attack and her very condition but nothing sliced through it all like a hot knife other than the following reason. She looked at this man who was a bit more rugged upon closer inspection with rag-tag clothing and the burns along his arm before they were re-wrapped. What was said next though threw the kunoichi's emotion along for a quick sudden twist down the unexpected.

Her face flushed as he said his name and she looked away for a moment. The body was too tired though for her to use her aura to reflect someone else's emotion, nor were there anyone around. You ********> Ayame thought to herself as her face turned red. That was unexpected. I'll get you back. Count on it.

Ayame looked at the man and took a long sigh as she regained composure. "You sure don't waste any time. Genin Araki Ayame of the Raigyo." She said her name a bit less formally than his own of the Uchiha name. Her eyes shifted color slightly to darker blue as she strained to try and use her empathy technique. Yet, she was too tired.

Damn it. She settled a bit forward finally, rising to a sitting position and eased herself slowly. "Dinner, huh? Before or after I'm recovered?" she half-joked, grunting slightly as she tried to remain sitting up.

Holy s**t was she actually blushing? A chuckle was stifled and choked on, tying off his bandages over the scars, adjusting the cloth over his fingers. Either she didn't take complements easy or had never heard what he'd told her, not that the particular information he used there had been a lie. He noted her eye change with her name, knowing of her clan but not what the dojutsu did. She was brand-heckin-new, so it had to be related to the air of chakra he'd seen from her. He give her figure a once over when she sat up. "After. Think we both could use a shower and a change of clothes." A debrief wouldn't be a bad idea, but he was far too furious with the Hokage and the establishment to give a flying ******** about seeking that woman out. He got to his feet with a groan, walking to Ayame's side. He stuck his head under her arm, scooping her up bridal style like he had to bring to the hospital. "You don't like clinics, so I'll take you home."

6ft Under She Gone Kill Me For That Paper ᐧ ᐧ ᐧ ᐧ ᐧ ᐧ ᐧ

After searching all of fifteen minutes the exhausted Uchiha landed in the office, where the first doctor available after nigh on an hour of waiting administered the antidote to the poison she had been suffering from for the entire scuffle. With her no longer needlessly strained vision, Kya was allowed some time to rest, and rest she did. No more than twenty seconds of silence in the room passed before she was completely unconcscious. That first hour of rest was completely silent and dreamless.

The second however, she found herself on a raft amid a great ocean. In her psyche, this was her world, with her god's ever present influence deep below like a horror most lovecraftian. She stared out at the sky, her face assaulted by salty brine but showing no sign of even feeling it. It was serene. Cloudless. The ocean stirred only for her breathing, sending invisible ripples. So long as you remain at rest, you can never grow. The voice's echo sent a wave towards her, and she struggled despite herself to stay on her wooden raft, crudely built and not likely to whether a storm. As the wave passed, a second washed below the raft, nearly toppling it, but Kya was steadfast. The clouds gathering in the air above and the wind picking up were bad signs. She needed land, she needed to find land. The moment of panic was punctuated by a bolt of lightning striking her raft and destroying it, sending her into the water.

The current took her body, the wind and waves sent her sprawling to and fro. She would drown at this rate. Only who fight will live, little girl. Fight. Show them how to fight. Show them... Magatai. This voice was different. It was not the truth bearer who spoke, but rather something everpresent, something reverent. It spoke of Magatai. A name for god, a name for religion. Kya fought against the water, swimming to the surface, fighting for that first gasp of air. Kortal Khan's words pierced her heart. Jashin, as the Paylangi call him. She stole it the moment her face broke the surface, and her Sharingan armed itself. Stinging ran water and sporadic waves shook her to her core, until another voice echoed out, this one more piercing. "Focus, little girl. Focus. Show the Paylangi how to see." Like righteousness and surety, Kya looked around herself, gathering the picture, seeing land a mile away. She swam. She tumbled here and there, at times it was like something grabbed at her very soul and dragged her body below the surface but she fought against it. She would not lose. She could not lose. Even as the Island seemed so far, she continued to fight to shore. And then one last voice spoke, and with it came a massive head like a serpant ahead, between her and the island. "Learn!" the booming voice chastised her as a massive tentacle reached up from beside it and slammed down, crashing into Kya and sending her farther down that she had even been. "Learn or drown." Despite the situation a focused Kya thrust herself to the surface and remembered that, even as she swam, she was still a kuinoichi. "MOVE!" the Krakken cried as more tentacles rose, wriggling as if to distract. Kya stood on the uneven surface, and a scythe appeared in her hand. She ran, and as she did so her body glowed with tattoos like azure scars in her flesh. The reds of her sharingan turned to an ocean blue, reflecting her faith as she took the challenge, the test of spirit. The first tentacle came down on her,but a swing of the scythe carried the weight of her self-sufficiency behind it. The tentacle was destroyed, turned to water as a booming laughter rose from the unmoving head. Still, she ran. Still, she challenged it. A massive hand came up from the water's surface, large enough to grasp the tentacles coming down. Kya took to leap on the massive, black arm, running along the white tattoo tracing it's length. From above, a spear crashed into another, piercing to the ocean floor with still more breaking the surface. With certainty that she was correct, Kya slid down the spear, leaping to Magatai himself as if she had no reason to fear. "The waves will drag you down if you do not fight to shore, Nakya Shouten. So long as you fight, you will always find us within you." The voice spoke all of that in the seconds before Kya brought the spear down on it's head, and just as fast as the storm began, it ended. She landed hard, unsure of what had happened, but certain that hers was the correct path. Her feet made landfall no more than seconds after, and the spear and massive arm were gone behind her. Still, she felt affirmed.

She awoke with her Sharingan active, but the odd coloring had managed to stay. The room had an eerie glow she did not know originated with her until she saw herself in the mirror. Like tentacles wrapping around her, the same tattoos from her dream had taken a place on her body. Mere seconds later they were gone as if they were never there. She nodded to herself, and her eyes returned to their normal crimson hues. The blood of the Uchiha, mired no longer by religion and the certainty with knowing both god is real, and you are it's proof. She showered in the lockerroom of the hospital, left in clothes she kept there, and checked the logs at the desk when she made it down. Kanzaki had brought her in. Good. Wearing black, tight pants and a loose shirt more like a cardigan than a top, Kya went to find him.

She was in the doorway when he offered to take her home, waiting for him to turn to her. "Kanzaki." she spoke with an evil grin. "I'm almost jealous." Her eyes fell on the pink haired girl, and the grin turned into a smile. "Well, you going to introduce me to your bride? Or do I have to melt your skin again?"

Ayame narrowed her eyes when she had noticed an attempt to hide a laugh that lead to her puffing her cheeks in a short glare at him. Had there been a hidden meaning or was it her reaction that he'd found funny? She sat there for a long moment though, contemplating on the facts that she did know about this man making a move on her -- Uchiha, perceptive sight more than likely and a prestigious clan nonetheless. Settling in a bit, her body refused to actually cooperate as pain shot through her nerves and there wasn't any medical technique that would help with that at present.

"Yeah... My kimono was trashed in the first attack." She muttered slightly when he mentioned a change of clothes, knowing full well that the current outfit was destroyed. Ayame looked down at her incomplete outfit, only her mesh bodysuit remained; obi and kimono completely gone and even the geta were off her feet leaving her in just tabi socks. On the table nearby she collected the fickle little things that had not been lost and took a moment to redo the loose hair with the hashi.

Kanzaki had stood to his feet with a grunt of his own, seeing his own scars and wounds, and walked beside Ayame's side before lifting her up. She gave a sharp intake of air and also her face flushed briefly before she exerted control over her own emotion. Home. Oh god... It must be trashed... She thought to herself and then Afro walked right on in like this was one of those comedy plays -- spouting off jealousy, bride and violence all in the span of a few seconds which made Ayame simply laugh at the situation.

"Oh no, I'm just his little sister. Noting going on here." She said with a beaming smile to go along with the mood.

Course some one had to ruin it all at the perfect moment. He was going to just drop Ayame here, and abandon the village to go build porta-shitters for the UHV. That'd be a good career. Ye-- Little sister? Ayame had to open her suck and c**k it all up. May as well throw Ayame at Kya and be done with it. Kanzaki, in his mind, was still two for two, and was now winning. "Kya, you frump, I'm amazed you're not jealous more often. This is Edwina. She's not my sister, but my lover, and we're going to make sweet, sweet love later. You had your chance. Now beat it." One breath, in and out, right on past Kya without breaking stride. Was not about to start a conversation. They all had s**t to do, and just maybe Kya would come at him later on for this, giving them both of them a decent fight to see where they stood. It'd give Ayame a chance to actually rest, not that he'd mind giving her a hand. If he didn't end up burned again he could give the Hokage a visit long enough to see about a promotion or not. Actually, that wouldn't be a bad idea... Well out of sight of the hospital, going into the streets, away from Kya (unless she followed) he'd clear his throat and give Ayame a chance to stop blushing him, complaining, or striking him for what he said. "The office is on the way to the apartments. Let's tell the Hokage what a good job you've done before I drop you off, hmm?"

Kanzaki and the girl were being Coy in their own ways. This pleased Kya to a degree, because people who were easy to burrow under the skin of tended to be boring. The girl with her soft colored hair and easy eyes was a hell of a looker. Kya fought against the urge to lick her lips while she made her joke. "Sister huh? I've known Kanzaki a long time, never mentioned a sister. Especially not one so cute." Before she could jab forward again, Kanzaki spoke, drawing a somewhat disgusted look of levity from her. "Ew, sex is gross," Kya chided as Kanzaki as he meandered past. "Oh sure, I'll go see the Hokage as well." With that, Kya would simply follow behind, one hand using the Shakujo as a walking stick.

A sensation would trickle out, a tiny little back of the mind feeling buzzing on the senses. It was an annoyance that had no meaning or source, just the sense that something was irritating. Ayame was close enough, being touched made it easy, to release enough chakra to most certainly affect the Uchiha while she only smiled away as she read the emotion. There wasn't a color to this aura like usual, no change in the eyes as she read the emotion finally from herself, Kanzaki, Kya and those around but also exerted a different technique than the one she has used in the mining camp. Instead, she focused it all on the Uchiha when they were finally outside the hospital and she was clear of a place she feared. 1/2

A mischievous thought came to fruition. She would ease one single emotion, a subtle one to poke at the back of his skull. Copying irritability, he would feel the sensation of small pin pricks in the neck, shiver down the spine or the thought of a bug flying by the ear to finally the feeling of an itch in the nether region. She made the sensation small, not intensive but subtle enough to linger for more than a few seconds but strong enough to occur every so often, and finally after awhile she'd look at the man with her eyes deliberately reflecting a deep violet for a moment and then back again. 2/2 Project

"So a debriefing?" She said simply, smile gone and a tone of seriousness coming over her. "Last I saw, you were not so pleased with the Kage. How about a secretary instead?"

Kanzaki was inexplicably feeling irritated. Wonder where that could have come from. Kya's comments certainly weren't enough to phase him. Much have been the weather. Not knowing enough about Ayame's emotive techniques, he didn't have much of a clue beyond the changing color of her deep eyes. She was of a dojutsu clan, but emotions? That was some retarded filler or custom crap. So he had no idea why he was feeling such a way, and took it as genuine.

"You barely know me Kya. Sex is great."

Ayame, however, would not get the same verbal abuse. Disdain of the Hokage or not, she was the only one who could assign any missions or squads in the village, despite the fact she was as useless as chewed gum. It'd be a miracle to him if there was anyone else he could deal with, so he'd take the necessary evil if it meant training Ayame. Speaking of which, he'd grow tired of holding her bridal style, and dropped his right arm from beneath her legs. Instead of letting her fall to her own feet, he swung and slung her around his left shoulder, ducking down to a knee briefly, catching her with both of his shoulders in a fireman's carry. Normally one would use their free right arm to aid in their running or to hold on to her ankles to keep her steady. Kanzaki opted to place his palm square on her bum and give it a good squeeze, all in the name of keeping her from bouncing around too much, even if her breasts were damn near pressing into the left side of his face.

"Hold on Miss Araki."
