Hey, this is TTS here and for my first review I'm going to be reviewing Guitar Hero: On Tour.
User Image

I got the game a couple days ago, and I'm happy to say that it feels a lot more like a Guitar Hero Game than people might think.

User Image
The Guitar Grip, which come with the game, Is easy to hold and fits well on your hand. It has velcro straps to hold your hand in place and feels very durable. The only things I would say you have to worry about is if you have small hands and the fact that it doesn't lock in place, which could lead to you turning off your game because the grip fell out of the DS. The Guitar Grip also has an easy-to-remove plastic cover that let's you change the skins around.
This:User Image
Is the first skin it comes with. However you can purchase more, or if you're all about customization, then you can even make your own.

The control scheme doesn't differentiate for from it's main console counterpart, the only difference is the strumming. You use a 'Pick Stylus' To strum the guitar are the touch screen. The Pick Stylus does slid back into a slot on the Guitar Grip for storage. Now, the strumming DOES actually get easier to play fast notes. the only thing you will have to worry about here is that I found the touch screen to become un-responsive if you just strum back and forth without letting up. As for buttons, there are, in fact, only four. Though most people will think this takes away from the experience. You can play Hard and Expert, and they will still feel like Hard and Expert from the main console game. This was probably my biggest relief when playing the game.

Actual gameplay itself is the almost the exact same. With a few new additions here and there. Star Power and whammy, as you might have guessed, are different in this game. Star power is activated by shouting into the mike, blowing into it, or touching the star power meter with the touch screen. The only problem with this is you are going to have to shout really loud or blow really hard if you want to keep the DS at a good distance and not interrupt your perfect-so-far score by tapping the meter. The whammy bar is a lot easier than on the main console. All you do is go back and forth on the touch screen to whammy, or you could just start whammy-ing then drag the stylus to the upper left corner of the screen and let the game whammy itself.

The newest addition, exclusive to the hand-held version only, is the Guitar Duels. Though most people will say it's just a gimmick, it's not. It is actually a good add-on to the game. What it is is you take boss battles from GH3 and Score Duel from Rock Band. Instead of Star Power, you get weapons you can use against your opponent, such as getting the other guy's guitar on fire, breaking one of their strings so they have to fix it, making the opponent autograph a book, t-shirt, purse, or even a fish, and much more. Although the opponent can use all of this on you, so watch out. You can play this Single Player or find it in Multiplayer.

The Character list does have a view new DS-exclusive people, though none we haven't seen. They just have new names. You can however buy up to 2 new outfits for them in the store, which you have to unlock first. They don't have an impressive set of guitars, only about 10 or so. Most of which must be unlocked first.

Now for the best part, the set list.
I'm pleased to say that fans of most genres will be pleased by the impressive set list. though they only have 25 songs, they are all great and fun to play. Such as, All The Small Things by Blink 182, All Star by Smashmouth, We're Not Gonna Take it by Twisted Sister, This Love by Maroon 5, Heaven by the Los Lonely Boys, Stray Cat Strut by the Stray Cats, and Anna Molly by Incubus. There are, bonus songs, but you have to unlock them instead of buying them from the store. I only know about one, I am Not Your Gameboy by Freezepop (You might remember them from GH2).

All-in-all, This IS a Guitar Hero game, despite what other might think.
I give it an 8.0/10

Can someone please do a review of "The World Ends With You"? Please? I need peer feedback on this game.

Hey everyone. I know I normally don't do this, but I'm reviewing a modern game today.

Dragonball Z: Burst Limit for the PS3

Burst Limit came out this year and is a fighting game based on the first 3 sagas of the anime Dragonball Z. I think what the developers had in mind was to kind of perform a rebirth of the original Budokai franchise. The gameplay looks similar to the original series, but the controls feel awkward. To perform a special move you hold right or left and then press circle. To do your final special, you have to wait until your ki bar, which is at the bottom, to be fully yellow. Then you have to press up and circle at the same time. Seems easy right? Well, due to odd controls, sometimes when you go to do a regular special, you'll accidentally do your final special, which can leave you open depending on your character.

The character selection is pretty weak all around. The game only features 21 characters, unlike Tenkaichi 3 which featured somewhere near 150. Now, even though the game is supposed to basically bring us back to the very first Budokai, that game had 23 characters, meaning that characters were taken away. Burst Limit lets you play as the Saibaman, however, Dodoria, Zarbon, Hercule, 19, and Great Saiyaman are missing. They added Bardock and Broly to the mix though. Broly has been watered down though tremendously. In the previous games, he seemed damn near invincible, however now he's just a giant target. I also have a problem with Cell's voice. Remember in the first six games they seemed to use Cell's first form voice for all of his regular attacks and sounds no matter what form he was in? Well, they changed it, however this time, Perfect Cell's voice is used for all of these sounds even in the imperfect forms. It's being picky, but they could have at least gotten it right.

World Tournament mode has completely vanished. With that being said, obviously there is no World Tournament stage. There are only 5 stages in the game all together. Namek, Plains, Archipelago, Desert, and Cell Games. You could say that there are more than that if you include alterations such as day to night, or when the battlefield is nearly destroyed due to a large attack.

Story mode has a lot of problems also. A lot of events are missing. Here are some that I've noticed:

1. Jeice, Burter, and Guildo apparently don't exist
2. Mecha Frieza never happened, and thus, Trunks never defeated him
3. Dr. Gero and Android 19 never appeared
4. Cell Jr's never appeared.

Now, that could be considered nitpicking but these were somewhat important events within the series. Some of these events are shown within a bonus video, which leads me to believe that the game was unfinished and released anyway.

The "What if" stories are a real let down, considering that there are only 2. The two being if Bardock beat Frieza and met the Z Fighters and if Broly beat the Z Fighters. Not much to really work with, and they could have done a lot better.

I've noticed that the game seems to have more interest in cut scenes than gameplay. I came to this conclusion when I discovered "Drama Pieces." These are items you unlock and add to characters that cause scenes to occur if certain criteria is met, each item has a different thing you must accomplish. The idea behind them is good, but for the most part, these scenes have no effect on the game and only waste time that you could be using to fight. Some do cause damage or regeneration, but others are merely poses or quick little convos with an outside party, all of which is infuriating. You do have the option of not equipping these during Versus mode, but they are automatically equipped during Story Mode.

Another new feature added was the Aura Spark mode, which basically has your character emitting an energy field surrounding the character. I haven't really figured out a real purpose for this other than allowing you to do a special chase scene where you can proceed in fast paced punching and kicking scenes causing you to have to button mash your way to victory. Winning this will cause your character to beat the hell out of the opponent and land a few heavy strikes, while losing this will cause the opponent to dodge hits and block your heavy hit.

Remember in versus mode how you enjoyed putting characters that never met up in the original series to see if they would have any special dialogue together? For example, Cell vs. Frieza and they would say something like, "Let's see who the strongest in the universe is" or something like that. Well, so far I haven't found anything along those lines. The only special dialogues come from characters that actually met and have a connection to each other in the series.

All in all, the game feels very unfinished. I think that what happened was that they had good ideas and just never took the time to fully put them in the game before being forced to release it. The creators of the game put way more emphasis on looks than actual gameplay, and usually that doesn't work out well. I'm going to give this game a 6 out of 10. It's not a bad game by itself, but as a sequel, it just doesn't have a leg to stand on. This is probably the worst in the series, and I think for a game that's supposed to be a debut on a system such as the PS3, it's a shame, considering all the potential this game actually has.

There's no way this is worse than DBZ Budokai 2 >.<.
And by series, I'm guessing you mean Budokai-cause if not, you'd be wrong on so many damn levels.

Good review though, lol.

The initial detail that put me off was that they were only going up to the Cell Saga. f** THE CELL SAGA.
It's sad that the only place the pushed this game to it's Limit-lolpun-is the grafficks and that's it.

It would have been insane if they went over the whole DBZ story and jumped into a little bit of GT.

Budokai 2 is amazing compared to this. The controls in Budokai 2 weren't crippled as badly.

And by series, I meant Budokai/Tenkaichi. This would be the 7th game in that series.

Like I said in the review, I think that the game is severely unfinished. I have no problem with the idea of going back to the Cell Saga only and having a somewhat rebirth of the first game, but they crippled it badly.

It needs to stop being a 1v1 fighting game. Completely overhaul it.

I read on ED they recreated the ever famous OVER 9000! scene.

When I sawed it it didn't seem as impressive...

Even though I'm a big DBZ fan, I have to say, I agree with this review. I love anime, but I hate it when someone makes a video game off of them, 'cause they usually suck.

And I didn't know we could review games other than Nintendo games...why didn't someone tell me? Or can only TtheHero and Mephisto D do that? I don't know, but I just have to give everyone my opinion on Mass Effect. I love that game. But is it alright with everyone? Hmmm....do you mind, TtheHero?

It's not really my opinion on anime games, because I love the other games in the Budokai series, but this one was just a huge disappointment and had crippled gameplay and seemed very unfinished.

As far as you doing reviews for other systems, go ahead. I don't mind, and I'm sure T doesn't either.
