Is it dangerous just to have one around? Because I warned my friend about those one day, and she later found one in her garage and hid it.
She's been having some paranormal activity in her house, but we just think it's her couch that's doing it (someone died on it,lol).

Hm... I've never really believed in Ouija boards myself... Though I've never really used one myself. But that's my general view of things as a skeptic. sweatdrop

Ouija boards are NOT what people have spread around. I know this from
experience. They are not evil, unless you want them to be. It is a board,
nothing more complicated than that.
But I'm not saying that they don't work. Mine works almost everytime I use it (Yes, it is possible and safe to use it alone, if you know what you're doing). The thing is is that if you keep telling yourself without any open-minded-ness that it won't work, than guess what? It won't. The mind is a very powerful thing, remember that.
Point is, Ouija Boards are simply an effectice way to talk to spirits/ghosts, or whatever those critters may be.
Just think of a Ouija Board as a pay phone, with you on the recieveing end. You may not always know who you're talking to, but there is always someone willing to answer your call. (No pun intended)

The key phase being ' if you know what you're doing'. That's the problem with using any way to talk to spirits or ghosts. Unless you know what you're doing they can be dangerous.
Ouija boards are just the easiest to get a hold of and use.

I do believe ouija boards can be used to speak to spirits using one is out of the question unless you are a psychic or medium who knows what your doing because opening a portal is dangerous you dont know what is going to come through and what if that spirit is evil and wants to mess with you. No i think i will stear clear of the ouija board.

I haven't messed with a Ouija board since I was 14. And I never will again, I promised myself that. If you read my introducing myself thing. You'll see why, but for those who are to lazy I'll tell you XP.
I was playing with one in my house one time, and met this girl named Sally. And well, she seemed nice, so I continued to talk to her. Well, after a while I said goodbye. And well, I guess she didn't or something, 'cause she's been following me ever since. She's a kind spirit and she plays around. And also does no harm, but still it's creepy that she could have been a demon and not a guardian.
Only way I'd ever use one again, is if I had someone with more experience using it with me.

Like I said in my other post, I've had a bad experience with Ouija boards. But just because I have, I wouldn't tell someone else not to use one.
As long as you know how, and what you're doing. And you have everything set up correctly, and you aren't just trying to use it for a game. Then, you should be fine. But, you really have to be careful with those things. They aren't toys to be messed with, and should only be used for certain purposes.
Just like WhiteWolf said, if you know what you're doing there's a high chance no harm will be done. Or, she kinda said that XP

Well now...
As far as i know..Yes they can be dangerious. In fact most people take it for granted and usually bring in something dark. The point being is they don't know what kind of pirit is comming through and of corse one bad thing can , and will, lead to another bad thing going wrong.
Though that is not to say anything good can happen.
Last time I took care of a Oujia board due to so much negative energy I actually saw bloodred flame and watched the sucker burn for ever on end. And the dang thing was cardboard and doused in lighter fluid.

An old teacher of mine, religion, who I highly highly respect (seriously, no fruitcake and a really smart woman) warned us to never mess with them because you'll open up a pathway for bad spirits that can even pretend to be good. I'm intrigued but I think they're way too dangerous...

dededead Janice the light Trust me, NEVER use a Ouiji board!!! Only really really horrible things go through them!!! I agree! Agreed. Don't mess with dark forces you can't contain.
