Journals of LabTech909 Thursday, October 21st, 2004 10:25 amIt's a beatiful day...not that I could tell since I live and work in an underground facility. I did over hear though that they're going to install an Atmosphere Holo Dome(AHD). It's suppose to create a realisic sky line underground so you feel like you're above ground. How cool is that? I wouldn't mind seeing blue skys again. I think the concrete walls and fluorescent lights are making me depressed, but not today. I don't know what came over me this morning. I felt a cloud just lifted away from my head. I walked into the lab today and happily waved HI to everyone on the way to my desk. Everyone turned and said Hi back, it never felt better. I took out the brown coffee mug with a chinese character on it. It had 2 strokes that goes horizantal and parrellel and then a wish bone like marking that goes in between the 2 horizantal lines. Too bad I can't read it, I'm an ABC, but atleast it looks cool. Any hoot, this was the coffee mug left on my desk the other day filled-to-the-brim with very good coffee that I might add. I went to the breakroom and filled it up with not-up-to-par coffee, drank a few sip and ready to work. I think I'll go ask 247 for some help on that PBT.

Journals of LabTech 138 Wednesday Thursday, October 21, 2004 10:38 AMGosh! Yesterday there was some sort of accident that happened because alarms went off in that booming voice-of-God kind of way and said "RETURN TO YOUR WORKSTATIONS IMMEDIATELY! SECURITY LEVEL ONE HAS BEEN BREACHED. PLEASE WAIT AT YOUR POST UNTIL G CORP SECURITY VERIFIES YOUR CREDENTIALS." A team of men in white coats that I've never seen before ran past my work desk but I didn't see where they went after that. I'm still not sure what happened and no one's talked about it yet on the department forums. I'm surprised that paranoid very paranoid jerk 957 hasn't brought it up yet. Isn't this sort of thing right up his alley? This new paperweight is great though! Gosh it's so small and gold and shiny, I love it! crying

Journal of LabTech 101 Thursday, October 21th, 2004 1:45 pmFinally finished moving all the large containers into the lab storage area. After that I decided to take a break, so I went to the break room to get some coffee. On my way there while I was passing 138's desk, I felt a tug on my sleeve. It was 138 and she looked all excited. She said,"Hey 101! Check out my new paperweight!" It appeared to be sculpted out of gold and shaped like a circular tube. The middle of it was clear like glass, and every so often, a spark would shoot from one end to the other like bottled lightning! I was like,"COOL!!!" heart I asked her where she got it, and she said she found it. Gosh, she's so lucky to find cool stuff like this. All I ever found was a pet sleeping room and all I have to show for it is this bump on my head. stressed I finally got to the breakroom and opened my locker. To my surprise, my coffee mug was missing! eek Yeah, the cool looking one with the Japanese symbol for "Ten" or "Heaven." I got that mug back in the day when I used to play Street Fighter. Akuma was my favorite character. Sigh... anyways... I suppose the theme of today is some people are lucky enough to find cool stuff, and others just lose cool stuff they already have. crying

Journals of LabTech137 Thursday, October 21, 2004 2:37 pmMan... seems like I picked the right day to sleep in :] LabTech138 explained to me about the drill yesterday and all the commotion that came with it. Definitely something I'd rather avoid. I finally built up the courage to ask LabTech138 if she would like to take a break with me later to get something to eat. I figure this might be the best way to learn more about her. I get nervous when I see her... it took me like a week to find the nerve to say something. I think shes really special somehow.. I hope she thinks I'm worth her time :] Everyone sees me as some kind of bigshot who's great at everything, which is mostly true.. but sometimes when I'm alone at night I feel like a shy, helpless little girl... which often leads to hours of crying into my pillow. I think if I could become closer to LabTech138 then I can show the other guys how manly I am by being the alpha male and taking a suitable mate for myself. I think I must be sick.. am I sick? haha... LabTech957 is supposed to be throwing a Internet Party at his place on Saturday. I was kind of thinking of going to check out his electronics as most men know that the size and clarity of your home entertainment system directly relates to the size of your.. *ahem* As I was about to tell him I was gonna go, I noticed that LabTech138 wasn't invited. If I went and she didn't that prolly wouldnt sit too well with her, so I have decided to back out. Damn is anyone gonna go to that party anyway? That poor guy.. if no one shows its gonna destroy his mind. Oh well what can you do? Another wonderful day in the lab :]

Journals of LabTech 138 Thursday, October 21, 2004 2:45 PMI ran into Labtech137 in the break room. I asked him about the alarm and he said he wasn't around yesterday so he didn't hear it. Gosh, he must really be ahead of our work schedule if he was able to take a day off in the middle of the week especially when Mr. Gambino put us all on such a tight schedule! 137 is really great! I think I like him, but I don't really know what to do about it. I don't really know much about dating. sweatdrop Why did Father have to send me to an all-girls academy?? I shouldn't have studied chem so hard in university and I should have studied boys instead.. *sigh*
So I looked for Labtech912 because she knows A LOT more about guys than I do. She was typing stuff up at her desk next to LabTech126 but I asked her if I could talk to her in private because this sort of thing is embarassing to talk about, you know? crying Plus, I don't want to give 957 credit, but, maybe Mr. Gambino does have cameras everywhere, and work relationships are strictly forbidden cry Well, everyone knows there's something going on between 912 and 126 but the boss and 101, but I'm not sure if 101 knows about the birds and bees yet. Hopefully he doesn't have cameras set up in the restrooms because that's where we went and then I told her about my problem. She said that because 137 is great at everything and great people like challenges, that I should "play it cool in the beginning" and act like I don't want to date him so that he will like me even more. That's so weird! If I want something I usually go get it, but I will try what she says. Back to work for now! eek

Journals of LabTech 247 Friday, October 22, 2004 @ 1:30 AMI can't let the small box out of my sight. I don't really trust anyone- well, anyone who isn't 130% behind everything G Corp is doing.
I only have trust in two people right now, LabTech101 because he'll do anything I say, and LabTech722 thanks to Mr. Gambino. I was wondering when that gambling would catch up with him. All the money Gambino had been loaning him had tracking bugs in it- we watched the money flow out of Gambino like water from a hose. It's going to take a lifetime to pay off that debt to Gambino, and that's where I come in.
I've been working on a live bacteria that is best described as the "synthetic fountain of youth". The right dosage slows the aging process making us live longer, if not forever. Currently, I've developed a low-dosage patch, but I'm not nearly stupid enough to try it on myself. I'm also not going to try it on LabTech101; I need his mindless compliance. LabTech722 though, he's the perfect candidate. I'll still have to watch him for side effects, but I'll have plenty of time for that. He's got a long life ahead of him for G Corp.
A very long life ahead of him.
Mr. Gambino is so brilliant! He knew we could never afford live human subjects, so he simply bought one the easy way by exploiting one of his own employees. Sheer brilliance is at the center of our great corporation!

Journals of LabTech722 Friday, October 22, 2004 7:40 AMI am so relieved! When I left Mr. Gambino's office yesterday morning I thought something really bad would happen to me. Everyone has been whispering about a connection between 247 and the disappearance of 013. But when I delivered the the letter to 247 he read it carefully and then said, "Well its your lucky day! I've been working on this great new quit-smoking patch and you get to be the lucky first person to test it out!" "But I don't smoke", I said. "What? Did I say quit-smoking patch? Hahaha! I meant hair-loss preventative," he said. "I always get the two projects mixed up ... Now the, erm, anti-hair-loss comes in this little patch that you stick on your arm. I notice your hair is thinning out on the top ... but you will see it growing back in no time!" Well that was good news! I had been noticing more and more hair caught in my shower drain each morning. I usually can comb the hair over to hide the tiny bald-spot on the back of my head and I have used that spray-on stuff. It works pretty good. But a real cure! That would be nice! It sucks to be balding at age 23. 247 said that there were no side-effects to the patch whatsoever, so I didn't need to worry about a thing. I am still worried about getting back into the big games at the casino. But I am out of money now, and Mr. Gambino forebade me from borrowing anything from anyone ... Maybe I should quit G Corp and try to find an environment more hospitable for my late night sessions. Besides, once I set my books straight I won't even need this lousy job anymore. I can just live like a king of my winnings! On the lighter side, I had a blast with some of the lab rats yesterday. 137 and I set them up in a maze and were taking bets on which one would find the way out first. It was very competitive for a while, but then, MY RAT WON! 137 complained that my rat bit his rat and that it was an unfair advantage. He said the rats seemed to be acting strangely and rushed the rats off to the Lab Vet to get them examined. Personally, I think he was just trying to get out of paying me. I insisted he hand over the 20 gold before he left.

Journals of LabTech912 [October 22th, 2004]*Confused Look* What Is Going On! Last night, I was just sitting down at the computer terminal in the office to write up my journal, and then I wake up a little while ago, still in the chair in front of the terminal, and when I look at the clock on the terminal, it's the next day. *Is Scared* What happened? Where did all of last night and this morning go?
Was I asleep? Did I pass out? Did 126 mess up an experiment or something? He says that he didn't, and I trust him, but...
I don't want to think about it anymore.
So, yesterday afternoon (seems like 10 minutes ago) 138 came to me with a very important question. It seems that she hasn't had that much experience with boys, and, as she told me in our little secret GirlTalk meeting in the bathroom (so 126 couldn't hear what we were talking about) that 137 seems to have the hots for her, and she's not really sure what to do.
Well. She came to the right person. She told me that she had never even got the "birds and the bees" talk from her parents. So, to save time, I laid it out straight for her. I could see the Gross-out looks on her face at some parts, and she even asked "two people actually do that?" to a few things, but for the most part, she got it. As far as 137 is concerned, I told her to play it cool, and let him come to her. He'll think that he's more of a man that way, but then once things get going, it'll be easier for her to control him. That's what I did for 126, and it's still working like a charm.

Journals of LabTech 126 [October 22, 2004]Something happened, and I'm not completely sure what. I woke up about an hour ago, in my lab, sprawled out on the floor. All the lab animals looked dazed like they were just waking up also. 912 was sitting in a chair, her head in her hands, just as confused as I am. The last thing I remember is 912 coming back from a very extended trip to the bathroom with 138. No idea what is going on there, but it's probably the ususal uncharted terrirory of "Girl Stuff." Anyways, that's the last thing I remember. Maybe one of my experiments yesterday got messed up, but I hadn't been working on anything that could have knocked us out like that. Hmmmm... Gambino hasn't been around all day. Maybe I'll ask around and see if anyone else noticed anything strange. I hope we're not being punished for our "secret" relationship...

Journals of LabTech722 Friday, October 22, 2004 9:35 AMI ran into LabTech101 in the hall a few minutes ago. He was asking about his 'investment'. "When do I start making money? You told me it would double in 25 minutes, right?", he asked. "Uh, I said 25 years, but you know what? I think I may have found an even sweeter deal for you ... ", I responded. I did the usual song and dance with him ... it was like taking candy from a baby. "You may not see a return on investment until another 50 years or so ... but when you do, the amount of gold you will have will be outrageous!" He was impressed. "Even more gold? Wow! That's almost as cool as working in a SECRET UNDERGROUND TEST FACILITY!"

Journals of LabTech909 Friday, October 22nd, 2004 2:40 pmFor some reason I'm feeling a little sick starting from yesterday afternoon till now. The light headedness is distracting me from writing in my journal. crying I should just take a short nap. I'll place my hands on my keyboard and mouse and pretend that I'm working, but actually I'm sleeping. xd Works every time. hehe zzzzzzzzzz. Oh yeah, one more thing. I went to 247 for some help on that PBT. He's so amazing, he only took 5 minutes to show me what to do. I'll get right on it after my nap. xp

Journals of LabTech 957 Post:3Well... no one has responded to my party invitation yet crying I bet its because the forum is down. The forum is always down. They're always redirecting power from non-critical systems so they can have extra power for what goes on in the sub-sub-levels. There's a little black dot above my cube today. It wasn't there yesterday. I just know its a CAMERA. They're WATCHIMG ME. I went and looked at other people's cubes and they didn't have cameras. Why aren't they watching everyone else? Edit: 722 just asked me if we could gamble at my party. I told him HELL NO... damn doesn't he know about the little magnetic strip in dollar bills? They have tracking numbers on them, they know EXACTLY what he's doing. Its G CORP that prints those magnetic strips ya know... Why can't everyone else see what's going on?! So I guess the forum is back up since 722 responded. Damn, I was gonna cry there for a minute. Sometimes I feel like no one likes me and they're talking about me behind my back, but I guess I'm just being paranoid.

Journals of LabTech909 Friday, October 22nd, 2004 6:00 pmWhoa, that was a good nap. smile I had the weirdest dream though. I dreamt that I was lying on a cold forensic table with this bright beam of light blinding me. I could hear chattering, but I couldn't make out what they were saying. I deseparately cry for help while trying to struggle my way out of the restraints, but no one came to my aid. I felt powerless. All of a sudden the chattering became dead silent followed by a sharp surge of pain in my head and that's when I woke up. Hopefully Mr. Gambino didn't walk by while I was drooling on the keyboard. Hey! Where is everyone? None of the other LabTechs are here... I probably scared them away with my snoring. stressed I'm gonna stay a little longer, need to get cracking on that PBT. I think I need to get some more coffee so I can stay awake. Hey wait a minute...where did that green rabbit go? Good ridence anyways. Oh shoot I totally forgot to respond to 957's Home Internet Theatre pary. I hope that I'm not too late.

Journal of LabTech 101 Friday, October 22nd, 2004 7:05 pm
Wow, it's been quite a long day. Apparently, I had only finished moving a quarter of the shipment. So anyway, I've been working real hard getting the rest of the containers into 247's lab. This would've been much easier had I had access to the forklift, but ah well. sweatdrop So, after finishing all of that, you can imagine I got pretty tired. So, I noticed in one of the rooms in 247's lab, 909, 912, and 126 were all lying down asleep on these cool looking metal beds. At that moment, 247 tapped me on the shoulder and i turned around. I asked him what everyone was doing sleeping here and he told me that it was a new company policy to take naps during the day(like they do in Europe). I think he called it "siesta" or something like that. So anyways, he then asked me if I'd like to take a nap as well. And I was like,"BOY WOULD I!" heart So, next thing you know I wake up in my chair. I felt TOTALLY refreshed! domokun Man, G CORP is treating us better all the time! Plus, when i got up 722 told me that he invested my life savings in a deal that promises to return 98687987547534957 gold in 150 years!! GOSH I LOVE working in a SECRET UNDERGROUND TEST FACILITY! heart heart

Journals of LabTech722 Saturday, October 23, 2004 11:45 AMI woke up this morning in a hospital bed. For some reason I have no recollection of the previous day. Well, I remember reporting to LabTech247 with Mr. Gambino's note, but the rest of the day is a blur. 247 said that the patch he gave me was an extra strong patch to make my hair grow back even faster. He said I might experience a few minor side-effects of the drug, but that it would cause no lasting damage, so I agreed to go ahead with the higher dosage. The anti-hair-loss patch must be working because I had some weird side-effects of the new hair drug. I was working away on sublevel 14 doing some of my usual duties ( feeding the two-headed monkey and giving injections to the hampsterillos (that's a hampster cross-bred with an armadillo) when I slipped and lost my balance. I started feeling very dizzy and then the next thing I know, I woke up in the hospital bed. I woke up in the middle of the night last night and I swore there were purple gorillas and polka-dotted seals romping around the room last night and Men with cattle prods chasing them screaming "The animals have all escaped!" But now that I am fully awake, I am sure it was all just a dream. A few minutes ago 247 came by and said I was looking much better so I was free to go any time. He said he adjusted the dosage of my patch and that I should be as good as new in no time. I am glad it's the weekend. There are going to be some big games tonight, I'm sure. Lot of action, baby. Lot of action. By the way, I recieved a letter from a Mrs. Nigel Smith with a very interesting proposition: Quote:Dear Mr. 722, My husband is a government employee in a country west of Durem. Due to inavoidable political circumstances, we must transfer our (substantial) investments to another country to avoid bankrupcy. As such, we need an associate to deposit our money in a Gaian bank - for a fee, of course. If you are a trustworthy individual and would like to help us, we will pay you dearly for this service - please respond! Yours truly, Mrs. Nigel Smith It sounds like an excellent way for me to get some money together for my next big game! I can't lose with this one!
