Ruby Hayashi Oni-Angel I PM'ed a few of our requests. I hope to get some replies, bu some of their "joining reasons" are just so obnoxious! Oh well, I suppose I should give them a fair chance. Ah, I feel your pain. Koiyuki and I joint interviewed one person who was amazingly shallow and immature. Who'd you pick out anyways? Mynard was his name. He misinterpreted the question first and then came away with a really one-sided and badly written stance on abortion. His spelling left something to be desired too. I put him on the yay or nay thing because I thought that at least the other people should have a chance to look at him (he did avoid netspeak after all).

I just talked to Meguru, a very computer savvy guy and very good talker. I think what he had to say about music is very persusasive.
Koiyuki Kuroyama: then what do you think of the state of music today? Koiyuki Kuroyama: ovesexed? Koiyuki Kuroyama: oversexed* You Consume Me07: It ruins our youth..especially that darn rap music with it's explicit lyrics.. Koiyuki Kuroyama: Hmm... Koiyuki Kuroyama: ok how? You Consume Me07: Making women appear as objects..Saying that being part of "gangs" is cool and whatnot..That and they give our kids weird lingo which doesn't make any sense at all >.< Koiyuki Kuroyama: Hmm.... Koiyuki Kuroyama: with the exception of your last staetment... Koiyuki Kuroyama: you make valid points Koiyuki Kuroyama: but what about other genres? Koiyuki Kuroyama: like pop and whatnot Koiyuki Kuroyama: are they guilty of the same? You Consume Me07: They're too commecial and it makes our youth worry about the latest trends rather than simple things in life Koiyuki Kuroyama: ok Koiyuki Kuroyama: example? You Consume Me07: Like you see those pretty pop stars on those commecials for certain clothing lines and so they go home and ask their parents for money but they know that one of their family member's birthday is coming up and they already said that they were going to get them something nice. So being the kid they are, they go for the clothing item..(this has happened to someone I knew before) Koiyuki Kuroyama: Hmm... Koiyuki Kuroyama: media putting products over family... Koiyuki Kuroyama: one aspect i definetely didn't see... Koiyuki Kuroyama: ok Koiyuki Kuroyama: any others? You Consume Me07: I would say something on rock but I haven't been up to date with the most current things going on with that genre -_-;; Koiyuki Kuroyama: jusy talk about what you know Koiyuki Kuroyama: thats the whole point of this You Consume Me07: With rock, I'd say most of their lyrics make some part of our youth rebellious. Like with the whole punk music and being an individual, most of the people I knew that listened to punk were not in speaking terms with their parents and got themselves kicked out of their houses
What do the rest of you think?

Well, Meguru seems to at least grasp english and understand some of the statements that are being said about music today, though they strike me as somewhat mechanical in their response. Though maybe it's because it's an AIM chat. I'd say a yay certainly.

He'd also make a good member for another very different reason: eh's openminded, and an amazing blender*guy that puts all the fancy effects on a pic in something like Photoshop*, but since we're not here to judge on his art skills, this will stand as his trial. Speaking of which, we need to discuss the IPG shop later. Edit: heres a sample of his stuff

I have no objections with Meguru, either.
I do have objections about other people you have let in recently...but it is too late for that.

Well if you have objections, make them known. Remember, you are the mod, and if they get out of line, you can ban them.

Ahh, well heres one of the new blood, but i dunno...
SacrBoy: Hi. I am [.Dark.Mischevious.] and I am an intellectual pervert... Koiyuki Kuroyama: ... SacrBoy: -_- SacrBoy: I don't know what to say about myself! Koiyuki Kuroyama: i coulda told that from why you wanted to join SacrBoy: Jesus SacrBoy: -.- Koiyuki Kuroyama: well what do you like to do? Koiyuki Kuroyama: write? Koiyuki Kuroyama: read? Koiyuki Kuroyama: watch? SacrBoy: Read, write, and hang out in Enkis SacrBoy: Sometimes look at porno xD SacrBoy: lmfao SacrBoy: that was personal lol Koiyuki Kuroyama: don't worry Koiyuki Kuroyama: I'm sure most of th guild looks at it, too SacrBoy: k Koiyuki Kuroyama: anyways Koiyuki Kuroyama: ext Q Koiyuki Kuroyama: next* Koiyuki Kuroyama: you like music? SacrBoy: Yes Koiyuki Kuroyama: ok then... Koiyuki Kuroyama: what are your thoughts on the current music scene? Koiyuki Kuroyama: oversexed, or not? SacrBoy: Hmm Koiyuki Kuroyama: and why?" SacrBoy: I don't get what you are saying Koiyuki Kuroyama: *looks at britney Spears, Rap music videos, Chritina Agulara...* SacrBoy: I like rap SacrBoy: and hate rock SacrBoy: reggae SacrBoy: jazz SacrBoy: I like all of it Koiyuki Kuroyama: err... SacrBoy: other than rock SacrBoy: pop SacrBoy: and other crap like that Koiyuki Kuroyama: i think you imssed the point of the question SacrBoy: prep and punk music SacrBoy: hate that SacrBoy: -_- SacrBoy: I know heh, heh. SacrBoy: explain SacrBoy: like SacrBoy: do I think if it is like discriminatory SacrBoy: ? Koiyuki Kuroyama: not discrimiatory... Koiyuki Kuroyama: oversexed SacrBoy: sex as in like too many boy artists or girl artists? Koiyuki Kuroyama: err... Koiyuki Kuroyama: perhaps you need an example... Koiyuki Kuroyama: Y'know, i've looked at j-pop (or its artists, at any rate) up to this point as frail songbirds that only wish to sing their song for the public. Then i saw the videos for Nani Tamaki's Prayer, Minmi's Step, and Kumi Koda's Shake It, and thought many different things differently. The first is that these J-poppers have rhythm and can dance like nobody's business, and the second (which really came to mind after the Kumi Koda video) is that they're very sexual(ESPECIALLY Kumi Koda, which if you ever saw, you'd say...wow...O.O) At that point i got to thinking, how come they can get away with that kind of stuff there, but not here? And is the entire world of music becoming of sexed up peoples? So discuss, have you ever had any previous conceptions of Japan shattered? If so, which ones and how? And what do you think of the state of music today? Oversexed, or no? Koiyuki Kuroyama: my take on it Koiyuki Kuroyama: It's not just Japan. It's most everywhere. I mean, if you look at Germany, they have porn on billboards! Sex sells, and we're fascinated with it. I mean, why do you think that the internet was basically funded and run originally by all adult sites (and the military, which we all know is full of frustrated guys who like to wank off )
Industries (especially the music industry) try to make money so they latch onto sex and sexuality in order to make even MORE money. I dare you to show me a music video by one of our "hot" young female music artists that doesn't at least have her dancing in a sexually provocative way or wearing a little teeny bikini. Koiyuki Kuroyama: and Oni-Angels SacrBoy: lets see SacrBoy: you mean too much exposure? SacrBoy: or sex scenes? SacrBoy: in music videos? Koiyuki Kuroyama: whatever you want to discuss SacrBoy: Hmm SacrBoy: I don't think they are SacrBoy: Because its like just acting and they aren't really doing it Koiyuki Kuroyama: ok Koiyuki Kuroyama: and how can you support that? SacrBoy: I have no clue SacrBoy: Brb SacrBoy: I SMELL FOOD! Koiyuki Kuroyama: ok SacrBoy: Haha SacrBoy: Only my brother amking lunch Koiyuki Kuroyama: ok Koiyuki Kuroyama: so you don't think it's oversexed... SacrBoy: nope and I Cna't support that Koiyuki Kuroyama: then what about thee kids are abot 1/2 my age and 1/2 as dressed? Koiyuki Kuroyama: about* Koiyuki Kuroyama: are you saying that they aren't the cause of that? SacrBoy: umm how old are you? Koiyuki Kuroyama: 18 SacrBoy: Holy s**t SacrBoy: I'm only 13 xD SacrBoy: But anyways SacrBoy: I have never seen kids half as dressed SacrBoy: At least not here SacrBoy: I mean I see some girls in my grade wearing thongs and s**t like that SacrBoy: But the teachers don't notice Koiyuki Kuroyama: hmm... Koiyuki Kuroyama: perhaps music isn't your forte... Koiyuki Kuroyama: whats your stance on abortion? SacrBoy: I'm against abortion. But thats just due to my religion. SacrBoy: Because abortion is like klling a living being Koiyuki Kuroyama: how so? SacrBoy: ... SacrBoy: The baby is alive... SacrBoy: Its still a living being SacrBoy: I can't really explain it SacrBoy: But its wrong to kill it SacrBoy: Because it would have developed into a living being Koiyuki Kuroyama: ok, let me use this analogy... Koiyuki Kuroyama: say you make a pizza... SacrBoy: -_- SacrBoy: grrr SacrBoy: I'm just against abortion... SacrBoy: Its the same as killing an innocent person. SacrBoy: Its wrong SacrBoy: I'm against it SacrBoy: Topic over. Koiyuki Kuroyama: ... Koiyuki Kuroyama: well ive heard enough Koiyuki Kuroyama: no ability to support your side Koiyuki Kuroyama: no IPG SacrBoy: -_- SacrBoy: Thats ******** up... SacrBoy: Because I have my own opinions SacrBoy: Because SacrBoy: I am not going against my beliefs Koiyuki Kuroyama: we're not asking you to SacrBoy: My views on abortion are due to my religion Koiyuki Kuroyama: we're asking you to state why you support it SacrBoy: My religion SacrBoy: Its wrong SacrBoy: Its like the killing of a harmless, defenseless person. SacrBoy: ITS WRONG! SacrBoy: And its one of Gods children. SacrBoy: I think it is not right. Koiyuki Kuroyama: because of your religion... SacrBoy: Yesh SacrBoy: And I am a very religious person when it comes to abortion SacrBoy: I am just saying what I was taught Koiyuki Kuroyama: and what does your religion have to say about it? SacrBoy: That it is just as wrong as killing and it goes against the Ten Commandments SacrBoy: Thou shall not kill. SacrBoy: ...-.- Koiyuki Kuroyama: no other reasons? SacrBoy: -_- Koiyuki Kuroyama: what if they we're poor and in poverty... Koiyuki Kuroyama: what then? SacrBoy: I would still be against it Koiyuki Kuroyama: ... Koiyuki Kuroyama: 13.... SacrBoy: I may be 13 but I am wise. SacrBoy: I am not stupid. SacrBoy: It may be the right thing to get an abortion if your poor. SacrBoy: WAIT! SacrBoy: They wouldn't have to get an abortion SacrBoy: They could just put the baby up for adoption. SacrBoy: Duh. Koiyuki Kuroyama: this is what i mean Koiyuki Kuroyama: come up with reasons.. Koiyuki Kuroyama: alternates... Koiyuki Kuroyama: why they shouldn't abort SacrBoy: You wouldn't have to get an abortion SacrBoy: They could just put it up for adoption SacrBoy: I should have thought of it faster SacrBoy: Not a really fast thinker but I get the job done. Koiyuki Kuroyama: ok

I know [.Dark.Mischevious.]. He seems ok at times, but his immaturity does show through quite a bit.
I have to say Nay, in this instance. His stance on abortion is nothing more then "This is what I was taught, so it is right". Be against it, but have your own thoughts as to why. Do not use the crutch of religion.
He could not even answer the question on music. Ok, so even if he thinks it is not "over sexed" he could have come up with a better answer then he did.
I vote "Nay"

What gets me with that kid is that he's so blatanly brainwashed by what he hears. That the problem with younger members. It's not thier own opinion, it's always someone elses. May it be the media, religion, parents or friends, they don't think for themselves.
So it's Nay from me.
