Belle89 Umm.. I personally play at civic theatre every year. My band has played in some places in New York.. but that was before my freshman year. Next year we're playing at Disney!! I'm excited
Last year we went all the way to Toronto, Canada to perform in the Santa Clause Day Parade (which is Canada's equivalent of the U.S.'s Macy's Day Parade).

We performed in the parade in Magic Kingdom for the Disney Aniversary a couple years ago...I don't know if it counts as an "amazing place" but we were watched by tons of people (it was public broadcasted plus the people actually there), so that was really cool. We have a banner in the band room that says, "Selected to perform for the world".
That's the awesome part...the not so awesome part is the 27 hour bus ride. Try holding it that long because someone decided to purposely crap all over the bathroom in the back of the bus. DX Well, actually, we had a couple pit stops to change drivers because driving constantly for 27 hours =/= healthy.

I have performed around Europe with the SoCal Honor Band.
This summer my band is going to perform in the Sydeny Opera House.
We aren't the only band that's going. It's going to be alot of band from around the world performing a new piece just for the Opera House.
Is anyone esle doing that?
ooooo...I can't wait...! *shivers*

We marched in the National Independence Day parade over the summer. And if I make it into the Dubuque Colts, than I will be going lots of interesting places!! (but I don't know ow!! lol) I will try and keep you updated...

We preformed in the Smithsoian Museam of Natural History in Washington D.C. We were suppose to march the National Independace parade and be the only band from California but when we went it was the first year the parade was canceled due to weather.

I was fortunate to take a trip with my college band to Kansai Japan. We got to perform in the Osaka Parade and in a small town called Himi. This was last year which was my last year with that band.
I was very tickled pink to find out one of the bands we visited traveled to Seattle to perform at halftime with the Husky Band! (the band i went to Japan with) They did a wonderfull show and even played our fightsong which sounded better than the band <.<
The show had taiko drums and stuff it was quite fun to watch!

Did anyone in this guild play at Copley High School for a Marching Band Competition this last month? I just want to know...because I was there!
Got a PROBLEM with that?!

Scheissenkopf Fermata This year we get to play at Bass Hall in Fort Worth and next year at the Mejerson in Dallas. Pretty dinky next to Sydney Opera House though... We perfored at the meyerson this year, and teh whatchamacallit in chicago for Midwest. lol i forgot the name O.o I preformed at the Meyerson earlyer this year. I liked it. 3nodding

We don't get to go anywhere fun until next year. The high school band got to go to this one fancy place in Cleveland (I'd remember the name if we were in high school...can't wait! Next year!) and then the marching goes to all these fun places like Cedar Point and Disney

My old school band performed at the Winspear Centre in Edmonton. My god that place had good accoustics. You can hear the pads hitting the instruments, you really can. Even in the back. It was amazing. I got a recording of it later biggrin
