"We do make a good... team." Yami said thoughtfully, once she had swallowed what she had been chewing. She was about to say "pair" but she avoided it for now. She wasn't sure they were a pair and she wasn't about to presume things like that. Hunting was a very intimate thing for her though.
"No, thank you. I prefer the hind quarters meat." she responded, rearing into the rump with savagery that was perhaps common and expected of their kind. She was just hungry.

"We do - we do indeed." Zephyrizon said happily, then lowered his head to begin eating. A loud rumbling content purr escaped him as he chewed into the soft flavour-rich innards, and he licked the blood off his maw, tails wagging.
He pulled his head back as he felt the carcass move - was Yami trying to take it from him? He flicked an ear at her, listening attentively for a moment. No - it seemed she was just tearing into another part of the kill. Zephyr relaxed again and began to chew on the exposed ribs of the dead beast.
"Hind quarter meat can be slightly tough and stringy," He stated, mouth full of sinew and rib-bone. "But this creature didn't seem too old, so it must be good."
After eating his fill, he sat down in the grass a few feet away, rubbing his bloody snout in the grass shoots, cleaning himself off. Now that he was full of food, he was rather content.
"I have a rather intruiging question for you," He grinned. "I don't actually know where you live, come to think of it."

Yami groomed herself with her front paws, licking them like a cat then stroking the moist paw over her bony maw.
"I don't really have a home. Per say." she replied, stretching out once she was content that her nose and mouth were completely devoid of blood and thicker things. "I go where I wish. Though I do return to a place from time to time, should I need a good rest... there are many kitsu there."

"Ah, I see," Zephyr nodded. "That's kind of the same as me. I don't really have a home either - mother and I used to wander all over the territory when I was growing up. Though, we did that when the weather was warmer and it didn't matter.
Now that the days are beginning to cool down, I'm not sure what I am going to do at night. I doubt sleeping in a field, or on the forest floor is going to make me very warm."
"The other Kitsu... what kind are they? Are they friendly to you? Or are they the not-so nice type you were talking about earlier?"

"I don't mind being outside. So long as you stay in a cave with a comfortable fire, or perhaps in a tree that keeps you warm from it's warmth." Yami explained, still grooming her maw from the kill. "However, now that you are around, I do not think it would be so bad to be out and about. You and I can keep the warmth up."
"They are a mix of kitsu. Nice, strange, not asked for advice giving kitsu.... it's an odd place to be but it is comfortable." she continued, making sure there wasn't an uncomfortable pause.
