Does anyone think it might be possible that the Dalek from season one could have been Dalek Caan? Although Wikipedia says that the Cult of Skaro has special markings on them they all look the same to ordinary Daleks to me besides Sek.
I actually quite liked this episode, it was fun and not too serious though I did an "OMG" at parts I still had fun with it. I don't see why you're complaining about Dalek Caan doing a shift to escape. I mean what did you expect?
Doctor: "You're the last of your kind."
Dalek Caan: "I am the last Dalek?"
Doctor: "... Yes,"
Dalek Caan: "I must escape!"
*Plays that crazy chase music while Dalek Caan runs past the Doctor and through the exit with the Doctor totally baffled by the stupid escape.*
That would have been hilarious, the Daleks don't run from what I've seen they either fight or they teleport and or fly away. Course I'm an American and haven't been able to see all of the Dalek episodes you all have seen. I've just read a bunch of stuff on them.

Yep, all in all, this one gets Travis III's "thumbs up" (yes, the rumours are true, I have thumbs!) It felt genuinely closer to the old series (which I'm not going to complain about) and it was just generally a great episode.
There are two points of critisism, however, that I would like to make.
First, Sec's accent is as annoying as hell.
Also, (and I'm going to sound sort of callous here) I was really pissed off when The Doctor saved Lazlo's life. Not that I don't like his character, I just think it's really out of place in Doctor Who for someone's life to be saved when it doesn't need to be.
Overall, I'll give this one 4/5.

I'm glad he saved them, because that's what the Doctor is all about! The one thing I wish he had done was change Lazlo back to normal. You would think he would have been able to find a way to return Lazlo's old DNA, considering he had the great big genetics lab at his disposal! xp The fact that he was going to have to live his life in Hooverville as a pig-man was sad. sad
