Lightning Shadow X The prideland's where in full bloom, new calves and new babies everywhere.
Even new lion's had joined the pride and everything was right with the world...well...almost everything.
Today, Kimba had been told about girl's by the wrong person, his father's friend Mabaia the elephant.
And what he'd said...well, let's just say Kimba was in no mood for unknown female contact today.
No siree bob.
He was just walking toward's the watering hole with his friends, Nukie the wildabeast and Jacobo, Mabaia's adolescent son.
Three bachelor boy's out for a drink.
Sounded like a wonderful mixture for trouble.
It hadn't been that long before the speech impeded lion's grass guzzling friend had suddenly skipped of...for a female.
Bah, one batter of the eyelashes and the hoofed heartache was like butter on a hot knife, melted.
Kimba looked at Jacobo, only for the elephant to shake his head.
That just initiated the adolescent to continue onward's.
However, as the young lion placed his forepaw's in the water, he had to look back and gape as he saw his second friend start to walk of.
Another large gray wrinkled windbag walking next to him, only a lot smaller...and didn't have tusks.
But the elephant male just turned and winked at his friend before departing slowly.
The lion could NOT believe it, but he just sighed.
Oh well, at least he'd not go gaga for a girl.
And just stretched his neck down to the water and lapped at it.
Dagi Not too far from the water hole, a young rouge ambled about. She was a youthful spirit with absolutely no sense of direction. Just a few days ago she had been haplessly lost in the desert, now, she was here, in this gorgeous land that she knew nothing about. Tii sighed happily, this was a nice place, much better than the wretched desert. There were plenty of scrubby trees about, this gave her enough shade to hide her from the sun, Tii's worst enemy to say the least.
The time was day was a hot one, and Tii knew she shoud probably be sleeping, as she often did when it got hot. This female was more of a nocturnal being than anything else. but alas, her dire need for water had drawn her out of her hiding, and seemingly, she had found a perfect source. As Tii approached the water, she noticed a lone lion. Her motion halted as her eyes narrowed catiously; she wasn't one for talking with strangers at all, who knew what trouble that could get her into. But her thirst overwhelmed her usually good judgement and without another word, Tii quietly padded to the water and began to drink as well. Lightning Shadow X The adolescent male continued to lap at the water, until the ripples from the other end made him blink, moving his paw slightly before he looked up slowly.
As his eye's ascended you'd swear you would've heard his jaw drop as he saw a lovley dark female opposite him.
Bright purple eye's widening and watching her as he cocked his head curiously, waiting to see what strange power's female's had.
His growing mane, getting in the way of his face and just making the adolescent grumble a little before shaking it out of his line of vision.
Mean hair!
Let him see the new girl. Dagi Tii drank her fill of the water, pausing for nothing, and when she was finished, her own emerald eyes drifted upwards to meet those of a male that appeared to be about her age. He was staring at her with quite a bit of intent. Tii's brows furrowed as she withdrew her head from the water. Excuse her, but what was he gawking at? Tii's head titled in confusion, was she that much of an abomination on their species?
"Is there... Something wrong?"
There was a tone of disdain in her delicate but forceful voice, she wasn't at all feeling too comfortable with this male. But thankfully, there was a good amount of fairly deep water between the two, so if he got to trying anything, she'd be free to escape as she wished. Lightning Shadow X The lion almost jumped when she talked to him, relax, she's only talking, not strange power's.
He looked at her, finally blinking and shaking himself, he'd been staring.
That was bad.
He shook his head at her question, white tipped paws withdrawing from the water as his deep purple eye's met her beautiful emerald one's.
"No! Kimba sowwy! Kimba just no see anyone so pwetty." He said, ear's flattening back at the sound of his awful speech impedement coming through.
God he hated when he looked like a fool infront of people.
Funny enough he hadn't really cared until a female was around.
Must be the 'horror and moans' dad was talking about. Dagi Tii's black tail twitched impatiently behind her as she waited for an answer. He seemed amazed by the fact that she was talking to him, perhaps the kid didn't get out much. And when the male spoke, Tii was rather baffled. What? Her, pretty? Where'd he get that idea? The female couldn't help but chuckle, both at his words and his speech, he talked like a cub, not an adolescent lion. It was... Comical to say the least.
"You tell that to all the girls?"
Tii smiled jokingly, her previously held caution for the situation melting away. No way did this guy seemed like a threat. Tii took her eyes from the male and let them wander downwards to the water where she saw her reflection. She studied it for a few moments, not exactly sure what he meant by pretty, for she looked rather average, or so she thought. She then looked back up,
"So, where are we? What lands are these?" Lightning Shadow X The lion looked downhearted as she looked down from him, great job Kimba, you looked like a total idiot and sounded like one too.
He then smiled again, half heartedly before he looked around his home and looked back at her quickly.
As if making sure she was still there.
"It the Pwidelands." He said softly, wincing a little at the sound of his voice before he looked at her.
She seemed amused by it, maybe she liked it.
He then cleared his voice and added on.
"Please dun' mind my speech impeh-...impeh!...pwoblem." He decided to just end it there.
Ear's still flat against his growing mane. Dagi Tii's ears too flattened back, still unsure of what to make of this extremely awkward situation. At his response, she nodded almost wisely. It was a nice place, shame she hadn't stumbled upon it earlier.
"So I suppose there's a pride around here somewhere?"
The female seemed nervous about this fact, other prides didn't usually like trespassers, and as far as she knew, she sure as hell was trespassing. She winced lightly before sitting down leisurely. As he spoke again, Tii simply shrugged, trying to push back another chuckle,
"It's no problem-heh-Everyone's got something that makes them special... Or whatever. What's your name anyways? I'm Tii" Lightning Shadow X Kimba nodded softly.
"Yeah, but they weally nice, we got's new member's alweady!"
He said, smiling immensly, it was true, new people did make him smile and even if he didn't smile, he was still happy in his own little way.
The young male then blinked softly at the way she acted...was she nervous?
There wasn't a need to be, everyone was so nice here!
He then gently flicked his head, as a means to get his mane out of his face before smiling at her more.
"I'm Kimba...nice to meet joo Tii." He said happily, speech impedement or not.
He was happy she accepted it...and that it made a cute female giggle! Dagi Tii nodded curtly, really nice? Well, all prides were nice to their own members, she wasn't about to trust it on any circumstances. Tii sighed, standing up and walking about half way towards Kimba. There, she stopped and flopped down in the shade of a scraggly bush; her next sigh was one of relief, it was nice to have the searing sun off of her back. The female then looked back to Kimba and his huge smile. Great, she had a charmer on her hands. The male held a child like innocence around him, perhaps it was that toothy smile, or his soft eyes, or perhaps that goofy way he talked, but whatever it was, it made Tii put her guard down, she didn't need to watch her back around him, or so she hoped.
"Aldready eh? Seems like a pretty big pride. I'm not one for being tied down, I wander. You ever wandered?"
Tii tilted her head as she posed her question, green eyes glinting thoughtfully. It would be weird to belong to a pride, she'd known nothing but being on her own since the day she was born. Lightning Shadow X ((Eeep! I gotsa go, bye D: ))
Kimba smiled at the question.
"No, I've never wandered before, what's it like?" He asked, a goofy grin on his face.
The male blinked and cocked his head slightly to the side, a thought going through her mind before he noticed the sky.
"Ooops..." He muttered. "I gotta go, sorry, i-it was nice meeting you!"
He said before running off back to priderock.
Dang it he was so stupid!
