G1 Prime is the greatest that is final there is no other that comes close to his glory he is and shall all ways be the most badass autobot ever recently I read a novel of a Transformer trilogy called Hardwire,Annhilation, and Fused in it prime had started to question himself but in the end he stopped quesioning himself and beleived that he was the true prime and to quote that great autobot
"freedom is the right to all sentient being"
"autobot transform and roll out"

You've read the whole lot? Aww man, I've only been able to track down a copy of the first instalment...! Now don't go spoiling it for me, 'cause I'm still looking for the other two (which are scibed by a different author, I believe). Yeah, I found this to contain a very interesting perspective on your beloved Robots in Disguise. I really enjoyed "Hardwired". I wish they'd bring out more literature like this.
And yeah, G1 Optimus all the way! biggrin

Mind you I just joined this guild, but I deffinatley agree that G1 Prime is the bad a** autobot to ever stand tall against his rivals abd enemies and still sound kick a** doing it^^ They keep killing him off and yet he keeps coming back one way or the other weather it's the autobot matrix or a quintession!
"AT THE END OF THIS DAY.. ONE SHALL STAND...! AND ONE SHALL FALL MEGATRON!!!

I am torn between G1 and Beast Wars/Machines leaders.
G1 showed tremendous wisdom and heart through his campaign. Willing to sacrifice himself for any noble cause, as well as get in the thick of it with his troops whenever necessary. That makes a good leader and great hero.
Beast incarnation shows the most growth. From a useless and inept leader, he grew to take risks, face losses, and manage a haphazard team into an effective force in the Beast Wars. In Machines, he went through the same difficulties, though not with his forces, but with his own spark. True, his zealotry and fanaticism got a bit old, but the point is he did what he had to for his friends, comrades, and soldiers- then ultimately the planet.

Talon Prime "Optimus Prime doesn't have jumpjets under his bumper, does he?" "Who cares- It's Prime, he can do anything!!!" heart blaugh This was from page 1... lol Anyway after reviewing the movie many times... (lost count) and arguing with my bro about how Optimus exploded into the air, we came to the conclusion that his fuel tank underneath was shot by one of the Decepticons and was ignited to cause an explosion which he transforms and uses it as a boost into the air. But still amazing how he can be 100% accurate while he was twisting and turning in the air and landing killing all the Decepticons leaving Megatron all alone.

Well, if you look carefully at later scenes, none of them were killed, but certainly hit- and they did fall. But as was proven in many TF fight scenes, a single hit doesn't have to kill- but can knock em down.

Talon Prime Well, if you look carefully at later scenes, none of them were killed, but certainly hit- and they did fall. But as was proven in many TF fight scenes, a single hit doesn't have to kill- but can knock em down. I assume they were dead because in that movie a lot of the characters died very easily as compared to the series and those that fallen didn't get back up. But you are right they don't necessarily have to die.

Hi again Devil. In my opinion, many of them died easily, mostly autobots, and the decepticons were easily injured. Some of them did die however. The most easily killed were Rachet, Brawl, and the others aboard the shuttle who fell victim to Megatron's lethal cannon attack. Ironhide was one of the toughest in the whole movie, taking a direct shot and not dying immediately, I commend him for that.

This is a question with multiple factors to me. Every Prime had the necessary leadership persona and qualities inherent in the leader of the autobots/maximals. Although G1 prime really seems to tug on the old heartstrings whenever he starts a speech. Most of the Primes have great designs. Personally, i always liked the autobots better than the maximals, but Optimal Optimus in the Beast Wars series was simply too bad a** to not have a place in my fandom. Unfortunately none of the Beast Wars Optimus forms had combining capabilities, so Primal is excluded from this category, as is G1 optimus since he couldn't combine with any other autobots either. The best combined form of Optimus goes to Armada optimus. When he combines with Jetfire and Overload, it sends goosebumps surging over my skin. I really can't make a decision on which one i like the best... ninja

That is actually one of my biggest complaints of the latter series. Since when did Prime actually have to combine with other Autobots to become powerful?! True, it is a lovely thought to combine with forces, but in the Armada/Energon series, it became almost a prerequisite to fighting. Prime had to combine or lose terribly.

G1 Prime. Why? The voice, he was a cab-over, the coolest one at that, he died and still came back as a killer-mofo-er. Plus, that was the image of Optimus Prime. F*ing awesome! Grade-A stuffs people.
