heart mks - Variation - Okay. Jaykay - Just kidding variation.
Also, pertaining to the smileys: Staring variations - >.> and <.<
I'm sure I could contribute more, but after reading the entire list, my brain is numb.

Shigures Editor MadnessFreak Zweite Maybe it's my arrogance talking but I believe this should be made into a sticky... Seconded. The idea, not the arrogance claim. I third that motion! (Again, just the idea.)
To be added:
bff - Best friend forever tisnf - This is so not fair nbd - No big deal ftw - For the win
Thank you! I've seen people use "ftw" before and I never knew what it meant until now.

Hmm... It amazes me to no end that people spent so much time developing txt tlk and 1337 when not even one person has fully mastered English. It makes no sense to learn a cool cipher of English when you don't even have that down pat yet.

I may never understand "txt tlk" but at least this gives me an upper hand at understanding a little better when I come across it some day.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure "atm" is at the moment. I live in the US, and I have NEVER heard it used as "at the mall". I'm also fairly certain that gg is "good going", but that may just be a variant.
Some things gleaned from listening to people talk about their ethnicity:
azn = asian krn = Korean viet = Vietnamese jap = Japanese isrel = Israeli
And the rest:
ne = any ne1 = anyone (These last two annoy me SO much. Argh.) gj = good job wb = welcome back (Was that on there?) hax = hacks ilu = I love you (variant of ily)
Also, a completely random emote:
owo <--- Something with fangs? Or mandibles? I don't know, but I find this one fun to use. xd

C: = Happy :3 = Cat smile? =^_^= or =^w^= = Contented/Happy cat -__-;; = Embarrassed (";;" may be replaced by one or two apostrophes or a single quotation mark.) :> = Happy :< = Sad :V = Beak :B = Buckteeth 9__9 = Rolling ones eyes 6__6 = Downcast E> = Variation of "<3"

And then when you are talking to "grown ups" you get a few oddities like... SAHM - Stay at Home Mom DH - Dear Husband DD- Dear Daughter DDiL - Dear Daughter-in-Law MiL - Mother-in-Law etc.
