For me, Grissom owns. He's just so cool and smart, and kinda good looking too! but i did want to hit him for taking soo long to admit he loves Sara. I like Horatio as well, and the way he is with the victims and their families. I haven't watched any of NY, so i can't comment on that.

I love Grissom as a character, I can't explain why, but I do.
Horatio is alright, but the way he talks annoys me.
And I don't watch NY, so I can't make a judgment about those characters.
I really like Catherine and Calleigh equally. They're both wonderful female characters.

Out of the three I like Grissom most of all. I haven't seen CSI: NY and I have watched CSI: Miami and I didn't like it so that would be my reasoning. It's not very good but oh well.

Grissom is by far my favorite of the 3. I don't want CSI Miami only because I do not like Horatio. The actor - David Kelly?? sorry name escapes me I strongly dislike. Didn't like him on NYPD Blue when he thought he was a diva and the show would fail if he quit, thank goodness he did since that opened the door for Jimmy Smits in that role.
As for the women, I like Catherine however I wish she'd stop messing with her face. She looked so much nicer in the early seasons before all the plastic surgury. I do like Stella and Calleigh as well though so that's a tough call.

My favorite of the three main guys of all the CSI:s is Grissom. I don't watch much of New York cuz it is one at odd hours, but I like Gary Sinise so i would place him as second. And then, Horatio... ah. I absolutely cannot stand him. See, Grissom relies solely on his wit to engage the watcher... Horation relies on his sunglasses. The fact that he says something insightful or funny is ruined by his need to whip out his sunglasses. grrr....
And since I really only like CSI: Vegas, I guess I'll choose which of the two girl CSIs I like best.... I'd have to say Sara, because even though she gets overly emotional sometimes, it is for an understandable reason. Plus, she's intelligent, and she's pretty without feeling the need to wear revealing clothing like Catherine (not that I dislike Catherine-- I just don't like her style).

But mostly I quoted you because I love Tamora Pierce books. As for the rest of it, Catherine's the coolest, Calleigh at a close second. But if you really want to find the area I would have the hardest time deciding, it's Danny Messer VS. Ryan Wolfe VS. Greg Sanders. Those are my favorite characters from each series.
