Who's your favorite CSI main character? Personally, Grissom owns all. But I like Horatio because he is more passionate to the victim, and Mac is just...well Gary Sinise is a damn good actor. But is it just me, or does it seem that CSI Miami would fail without the supporting cast (ie Calleigh, Alexx, Wolfe, Delco, etc)...I think the other CSI's could make it without such a strong supporting cast, but I think Miami would fail miserably.
Catherine, Stella or Calleigh? Catherine is awesome, she's got personality and tonnes of life experience. Stella's got the NY thing going on, total attitude. But I think Calleigh takes it. She's got that sweet southern thing going on, but she's a tough investigator and doesn't play around.
Those are my takes. BTW I'm new to this guild, thanks for taking me smile

Grissom's the best :] Horatio is second. Mac doesn't even deserve third xD

Grissom all the way! He has that piercing glare and he always has a qoute or some insightful comment in each episode.
Catherine is also cool, she seems like a person who, despite how tough she appears or can be, she has a heart full of kindness

Well, Grissom is my favorite. By default. Vegas is the original, and I can't bring myself to like a spinoff better. Simple as that. Mac gets a close second, though, I like him... Gary Sinise is pretty cool... And... Horatio... He's... Well... Quite amusing xd Making fun of him is great fun. (Just my personal opinion, though...)
But then... I'm really not a big Catherine fan... I like both Stella and Calleigh, and I don't hate Catherine, but... I think it's a pretty close tie with those three...
But show-wise, Vegas is best. The original wins. Always. At least, almost always... Then NY, 'cause the cases there seem to follow less of a formula, and the characters interest me more. I don't mind Miami, though, even though it seems almost every episode has to do with middle-aged men in relationships with their daughters' best friends (or something similar...), or drug wars. Maybe it's just me, though...

wdbydoglvr I don't mind Miami, though, even though it seems almost every episode has to do with middle-aged men in relationships with their daughters' best friends (or something similar...), or drug wars. Maybe it's just me, though... i think the plot line has to do with a miami life style stereo type...but i've only seen maybe 2 episodes of the whole middle aged men thing. i find NY has way more violent crimes, which is wierd bc statistically, miami is the most violent city world wide, NY just has a higher rate per capita of murder. I dunno...I like all 3 shows, Vegas is the original, its like illegal to like a spin off better. Miami isn;t bad, but like i said, it's the supporting cast that keeps it alive more than Horation. NY is more like a typical prime-time drama than an Investigative show. But I still like it. Stella is awesome, and the cop they have (Flack I think?) wow right off NYPD blue lol

wdbydoglvr Horatio... He's... Well... Quite amusing xd Making fun of him is great fun. (Just my personal opinion, though...) My mom and my dad watch CSI Miami together and poke fun at Horatio.. it's kind of cute to see xd I love it when he says "I am the fiber king!" I'm not sure who I like best... I have a lot of hilarious memories watching CSI: Miami with my friends involving inside jokes about "justice burgers" and "fiber kings" and "OMG HORATIO THAT WAS CREEPY". I'm not sure exactly what it is about Grissom but I just love his character. And I haven't seen enough NY to make a judgment on Mac xd I can't decide for the girls either. Probably Catherine though. I loved when she was told "you would make a great dominatrix". xp

Gissom was awsome in the pilot but has drifted from the original concept however, he is still awsome and a very intelectual character.
Horatio has sunglasses of justice. Thats all you really have to say about him. His awsome deductive powers come from his sunglasses of justice.
Mac is more cop then CSI but still sweet, and really nice. He looks all tough but to me seem the most personable of the three.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cathrine: My fav CSI heart
Stella: smart, but slightly attention whorish
Calleigh: her voice is slightly annoying, but her smile is awsome
Personally they are all compareable, none are really better or worse, they are kinda interchangable you could stick them in anywhere and they could go.

In the department of the males, I would say Mac. I know most have not watched CSI: NY but I have, and Mac is pretty awesome when it comes to taking care of his employees. Here is my ranking:
Mac, Horatio, Grissom
As for women, Calleigh. Strong, bold and fierce. All blondes like that rule!
CAlleigh, Stella, Catherine
