"Wow..." Chao echoed, she'd known, basicly, what to expect as an end result after seeing Gael, but watching it happen was another matter all together!
Sanar blinked and wiggled in her new form, that had certainly never happened when she'd taken something apart before.
She floated a bit then dove down towards the bag which had fallen out of the package they'd unwrapped, she tried to touch it with her new appendages but ended up going into the bag instead, giving a little gasp when she realized she'd ended up inside the bag. Cautiously she floated up towards the top and out, grinning. Well, maybe she couldn't touch things but going through things was fun!
Chao watched on as Sanar experimented with her new found transparency, "hael... I...wow," the teen was speechless.

Anthony looked over all of his instruments. Most of them hadn't fluctuated at all, but some of them had. He'd have to go over the results again when he got back to the Lodge. In addition to the video of the event they'd have a little more empirical evidence as to the who, what, where of the Aerandir's strange transformations.
He flicked the instruments off, still eyeing the wisp. "Wow, Sanar, that was some change" he muttered, half to himself. Trying to pull himself out of it he looked up at Chao. "I'm going to head back and deal with all of this data." he said happily. "Thanks for letting me set it up and whatnot." he added, truly grateful that she had. He turned and made his way off towards the Lodge.

"No problem Anthony, see you around," Chao replied with a light wave as the man headed away, she leant down, taking into Sanar's new form. "How you feeling hun?"
Sanar smiled and floated upwards, waving at her mother, repeating the motion she'd never been able to do with hooves with one hand before diving back into the basket with delight.
Chao smiled and looked around, "well, I suppose this answers the question about whether or not you'll float away if you go outside," they were practicly outside now and the note that was now lying in her hands basicly said that Sanar was just supposed to stay near her item, no warnings about not going outside and such. The teen's eyes flicked over the list of items, "I wonder what they're for..." with a shrug she picked up the bag, watching as Sanar floated down throught the bottom of it.
"Come on San, let's go write that letter to Kiro, hrm? Hopefully he won't mind posting both Sin'n Gael's and our lists," she headed back inside with Sanar floating behind, though the new wisp dove through the door as soon as it had closed just to see if her new powers of going through things worked on it as well. After discovering that, yes, it did, she headed back inside to go see what else she could get into with this new form of her's.

Sanar sighed softly, pouting at the letters. While diving through things and exploring the house to a level she'd never dreamed possible were great, not being able to touch things was awful! Worse than awful!
The wisp made a soft noise of frustration and rolled onto her baksidem floating just above where Chao had sat down, Sanar's bag seated next to her.
The guardian looked up and smiled, "sorry hun, come on down and I'll read the letter aloud to you."
With another huff the wisp floated down, tipping herself so she was floating completely upsidedown, transluscent ears perked as her mother began to talk.Tsu Deer Kao and Sanar, Is grate that Sanar is a wisp now! I am realy happi for her! Tell her I sed Hi! ~ Tsukai! "Hi Tsu!" the little wisp breathed, giggling lightly and hoping the other Aerandir had heard her.
Chao gave her charge a fond look and began reading the next letter.Kiro Hey Chao! We're both really glad to hear of Sanar becoming a wisp! If I can find anything on your list or Sin's I'll make sure to send it across for you. And, yes, as you can probably tell by the accompanying letter, Tsu's gotten past the wisp stage and is now a child. He's writing on anything he can get his hands on now, which I take to be a good sign. He also had a chance in the spotlight at Halloween, telling his first story to an audience. I'm pretty sure he enjoyed himself, though he fell fast asleep soon afterwards. It's also good to hear that Sanar knows what her job is now. If she's running off with random articles of clothing, I'd say that weaver sounds like a good fit! We still need to get them together at some point - it sounds like they'd get on quite well. I am still planning to get to Ar'Idil sometime, just not entirely sure when. I'll try and let you know though - either that or I imagine we'll bump into each other anyway. It's been great hearing from you! Write soon! ~Kiro & Tsu to be finished after I get some homework done @_@

Ary Keeyara I saw you were in need of some items for your quest. I only hope you do not already have this item and that it may be some help to you.
-Arianna KeeylisEnclosed within the letter was a string of small beads. It was a bit odd to get mail at her home, rather than at the pick up area in the Lodge, but Chao had happily picked up the small white envelope all the same, Sanar floating idly over her shoulder momentarily before flying off into one of the walls.
Chao grinned and rolled the beeds out onto her hand, "San! San come back out! We got another item!" she called happily, looking for a return adress. There wasn't one so perhaps this Arianna lived on the island?!
Oh heaven she was out of touch.
Sanar floated lightly out of the wall, and peered down curiously at the beads in her mother's hands then grumbled and crossed her arms. She couldn't touch them either.
Chao gave the wisp a smile, "sorry hun, but hey, one more item down, one a few more before you're solid and able to touch things again."
The wisp huffed with disbelief and a bit of incomprehension and floated down into the confines of her bag.
Shaking her head Chao ran back inside to write a reply.
Arianna,
Thank you so much for the beads! Sanar and I really appreciate them. It seems you're living here on Ar'Idil but we've never met! Are you an Aerandir guardian? If so what animals make up your gryphon? Has s/he become a gryphon yet? When did you arrive on the island?
Hehe, sorry for so many questions, but I feel out of touch not knowing that there were more guardians here, my hermitness is catching up to me. Oh dear.
I hope we have a chance to meet up sometime soon and thank you again!

[December 6th, 2005]
Flapping and fluttering, a purlpe kurimundi patiently circles about your door. When he spies you, he wings his way to your shoulder, and collapses. He pants, for a moment, then thrusts a tuft of straw at you.

"A gift from Wyv on your quest," he chirps. "I think she shoulda given you a drinking straw." He shrugs and makes a noncommital noise, as if he's used to having insight and wisdom beyond the grasp of mere mortals.
Satissfied that his task is completed, he lumbers off, flapping spastically. "Byyyyyye~!" he calls over his shoulder.
Chao stared slightly as the Kurimundi lumbered off then looked down to the tuft of straw in her hand and grinned, "THANK YOU!" she called after the Kurimundi, "please tell Wyv San and I say 'THANK YOU SO MUCH!" grin still fixed in place the guardian rushed back inside to show Sanar the straw. One more item to be crossed off the list....

There's a small package sitting outside the door, obviously delivered from the other island. Upon opening, there's a note, and a very soft pile of un-spun wool. Quote: Chao- I hope this hunk of purple wool will help Sanar evolve into Child form. I had it left over after one of my knitting projects. ~Foenix and Nehanda

---------------- A young woman wandered around the camp, map in hand. Pausing in front of Chao's house her orbs finally went from paper to house. She smiled to herself, clicking in the back of her throat as the rough border collie trotted up to her.
Toby tore his nose away from the ground, trotting right up to the draw. Lowering his front paws, he dropped the letter on the porch. Emiko slid a large rock just on top, so the contents wouldn't blow away with any unexpected breeze.
Underneath the rock sat a large brown leaf, withered with the age that autumn brought with it. The veins stood proudly against the lighter surface or the star-shaped leaf.
And underneath all that sat a note on lined paper. The handwriting smudged by what must have been a fountain pen on an uneven surface. If Chao squinted she would have been able to read:
Letter Hello, I know you don't know me as I'm rather new to the Island. Arrived just the other day and when I popped into the center it said you required a leaf for something? I just really hope this should help, it came with the suitcase on the way back and I'm just glad it's being put to good use. If this isn't the right house then I sincerely apologize and ask (if its not too much trouble) if this note can be returned to one said Chao. Many thanks, Emiko and Toby The anthro took a step back. Pushing her hair behind her fuzzy ears, she took one glance back at the house before setting back to her own lodgings. Maybe, just maybe, she'd meet this Chao one day. Crossing her fingers absent-mindedly both anthro and dog headed back towards home.

Jizzy left her small house, stuffing some items into her bag. Tobias rolled about at her feet, uncurling himself and hopping to her. He wanted to be carried today. Jizzy roleld her eyes and lefted the exited gryphon into her arms as she strode over to Chao's house. Pulling a note and a small parcel from her bag, she placed them gingerly on the porch. She smiled and set off on her way again, hoping Chao and Sanar would like the gift. The Note I found out that Sanar has grown into a wisp as well as Gael and after finding a copy of your list, I found that I had one of the items here with me. I hope Sanar enjoys the gift. Best of luck, Jizzy.

A small package, hardly larger than a normal envelope, lies on Chao's doorstep. The note inside reads:Quote: Dear Chao, I saw your note in the Lodge and thought you might be able to put these to use. Congratulations on Sanar's development, and I look forward to seeing you again sometime soon! -Progolo Tucked in with the note are two ribbons, one blue and one pink.

[December 12th, 2005]
[Thank yous and happy dances.]
Chao sat on the floor of her home Sanar floating just above her shoulder, the original list of items for the list were in one hand while she checked them off one by one using a pen. The items themselves were spread out in front of them, Arianna's beads, straw from Wyv, yarn from Foenix, the leaf from Emiko and Toby, Jizzy's scarf and finally Progolo's ribbons.
As she checked off the last item the guardian let out a little cheer and Sanar flapped her wings and spun in the air, "we're done hun!" Chao grinned at her charge, then looked down to the pad of paper she had sitting by her side and leant back against the sofa, beginning to write out responses to the letters that had accompanied the items.
"I guess the only question is what do we do with them, hrm?" The guardian murmued, eyes sliding up to the transluscent as ever Sanar who was still dancing, though it was now to the music that had begun to play from the speakers in the corner.
With a mental shrug the guardian pushed a piece of hair back behind her ear and began to write again. All the letters <3 Foenix and Nehanda,
Thank you so much for sending over the wool! I didn't know what to expect when I asked Kiro to post the lists for me and the help is greatly appreciated by myself and Sanar, who is more than sick of her inability to touch things.
If you don't mind my asking, do you have any advice for new knitters? In your letter you mention the wool was left over from a project involving it and Sanar's job is that of a weaver but, sadly, I know very little except from what books I've scrouged up and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Also is Nehanda [who I'm assuming is your Aerandir charge, verbally smite me if I'm wrong in the assumption] a child already? If so, what is her job?
I'm sorry if the questions are a little too forward but I only have one real contact on the other island and I know his charge recently became a child. But I've just recently realized how little I know about the other guardians living on Celatu or how many Aerandir children there are already running about and my curoisity is getting the better of me I fear.
But, anyway, back to the point of this letter, thank you again for the wool~!
~Chao and Sanar Emiko and Toby,
Thank you so much for dropping off the leaf! It did arrive safely at my house, along with your letter. Also, I wanted to say 'welcome to Ar'Idil!' I was barely aware we had new guardians, but then, I'm awful at keeping up with these things and have been quite hermit-like lately.
The leaf is wonderful and Sanar was quite taken with it, not only with it's shape but its colors as well. I don't think she's ever seen something quite like it on the island.
I hope you're enjoying what you've seen of the island so far, are you perhaps Aerandir guardians? If so what animals make up your gryphon? Or has s/he even become a gryphon yet? I remember if took a few weeks before Sanar emerged and in your letter you said you'd just arrived.
But, well, to draw it all back in, thank you so very much, the help on this quest is greatly appreciated. I hope you enjoy Ar'Idil and that perhaps we have a chance to meet up sometime soon.
~Chao and Sanar Jizzy!
How have you and Tobias been? Thank you so much for the scarf, Sanar loves it, though, honestly, she's quite unhappy that she can't play with it [at least this way she can't take it apart, ne?]. In her current form she can't seem to touch anything, just go through them. If you see Anthony soonish and he's carrying what looks to be an item, be warned, Tobias may be becoming small and transluscent very soon. It's perfectly normal though, it's happened to both Gael and Sanar.
I miss you, sorry I haven't been about more, would you be interested in going on a picnic sometime soon? Maybe after I figure out what to do with the items and get Sanar's solidity back?
Hope to hear from you soon!
~Chao and Sanar

Growth and Geographic Shifts [Group Roleplay--pages 11-17 of Ar'Idil Lodge]Chao and Sin bring their items and wispified children to the Logde, meet up with Anthony and both Sanar and Gael grow to Children!
Unluckily, shortly after there is a large boom as the Volcaneo on a nearby island erupts. All the Ar'Idilians gather in the Lodge to wait it out.

[January 20th, 2006]Chao Ugh, Journal, look at the state you're in, all dusty and... missing pages, Sanar's apparently had her way with you,
Well, about a million things have happened since I last wrote. First of all, Sanar is no longer a gryphon, just around the holidays both she and Gael, Sin's Aerandir child, grew into children. So she's now a bipedual, as you can see from the picture I've pinned in here. Doesn't she just look so frightened? I can assure she rarely gets like that, though gods, can she run. She's still collecting things, I think she finds it all the more easy now that she has opposable thumbs-- Abruptly Chao found herself with a lap full of Sanar as the Aerandir child threw herself over her mother's lap.
Ruffling the child's long hair Chao presented her with the half-completed journal entry, "want to try and read a bit of it?"
Sanar squinted at the words and read a bit with Chao's quiet prompting, "jeewnul, l-l-ook?" she glanced at Chao who nodded and moved her finger to the next word, "aaa'-"
"Ah-T," Chao corrected gently, emphasizing the 't.' Sanar blinked at the words then rolled her eyes and poked at her mother in a 'I'm done with this, read it to me, please' way.
Chao sighed, she was going about this reading thing wrong anyway, "I'm going to have to get some more basic books on learning to read, for you, aren't I?" after another poke from Sanar she slowly read the entry aloud with Sanar's brown eyes following along.
All together it didn't make much sense to the Aerandir child, and she only some of it even when her mother read it aloud.... She glared at the words and their secrets and Chao ruffled her hair again.
"It'll make sense someday San, want to go wake up Rein and Loki?"
With a enthusiastic click Sanar scurried off her mother's lap and went to go get her playmates.Chao -and I think she still prefers clicking to speaking, which makes sense, she knows all of ten words, notably, one of then is 'MINE'.
I refound a book on crocheting and I think I'm going to ask Sin if she'd mind teaching Sanar some basic knitting things next time I see her. But, ah, the troops are here, off to make breakfast then. Sanar seems to love to help with this, but I can't help but wonder if she's the one stealing the eggs.... "Right, right, okay San I'm coming," Chao put down the journal and set off to the kitchen.
