Although she had to admit, it did look like an interesting place. Especially if you were looking for a specific book. She absently wondered if this place was closer than any other to have a copy of every book. It sure looked like they were in the running, that was for certain.

Brayden nodded to the librarian with a smile, "Yeah, this is our first time here, so we're a bit lost," he admitted sheepishly.
"We were wondering where we would go to look up books on the older times of the Island Nations, Harmony Island in particular," he explained.
"We're not really sure whether we need to look up a history, or the myths and legends that have been passed down through the area, though," he admitted, "So we'd like to take a look at both sections, if you have any."

"That's correct. We're looking for a bit of information." he said as he glanced to Brayden, impressed by how quickly he'd provided the information the librarian needed.
"Good lord, I haven't heard that name in years. Enkotsu Island is an extremely old legend in itself." he said as he tapped his chin in thought. "If I remember correctly, it is said to have been destroyed by an enormous storm over 700 years ago." he added as he slowly began to walk. Heading towards the stairs that led up to the second floor, he spoke again.
"Any information we have on the island...would probably be up here on the second floor, over in the far corner." he finally explained as he pointed towards a small bookshelf off in the far corner. "Let me know if you find what you're looking for. It will help us expand our selection." he said with a small smile. None of the three could see the mall microphone clipped onto the inside of his shirt collar.

Brayden trotted along after the librarian as he made his way up the stairs, listening to his story. He was more than a bit intrigued about the whole island being destroyed by the storm. That had to have a story behind it. Perhaps that would be explained in one of the books that the library had. However, first thing first. They had to find out about what was going on in the present.
He followed the librarian's gaze to the far corner where he had pointed, "Awesome, thanks a ton!" he grinned, nodding to the librarian, "Hopefully this'll help us out."

"Boss, I think I found the Princeling, and he looks nothing like you described." the man whispered into the microphone as he walked away. "Good. Keep tabs on where he's going. We need to put the plan into motion before he returns." came a shady voice in return.
"Let's go!" Kaya declared cheerfully as he walked over to the corner and started looking through the books. "It's funny but I grew up on the island and I never heard of the Originals before this weapon showed up." he said with a light laugh. Picking through the books, there were titles of all kinds but none seemed to say anything about the Island. He overlooked one that might've been close, though it had a massive stain on the cover and he couldn't read it.
Eventually, he found a thick, leatherbound tome entitled "Legends of Enkotsu: Harmonian Myth and Folklore". "I think I found something guys." he said as he pulled the heavy book from it's shelf, surprised that it was able to hold the thick book. Heaving it up to chest level, he managed to get it onto a table and opened it up. A small cloud of dust erupted from the dusty tome and ended up causing the man to cough and wheeze for a moment as he attempted to breathe correctly.

Chloe sneezed, waving a hand in front of her face, trying to clear the air of dust a little bit as she sniffled, peering at the cover of the book Kaya had found on the shelf.
"Well, it looks like that would be our best bet," she grinned after reading the title. It did indeed seem to be what they were looking for. Chloe hopped onto one of the stools that lined the table, scooching closer to the others and the book.
"So, who wants to be storyteller?" she smirked.

Brayden had been scanning the shelves as well, but couldn't really come up with anything substantial. Unless he wanted to learn the ancient recipes for cooking Seaking with tarragon sauce, which, although interesting sounding, wasn't really the answers they were looking for.
Bray looked up, hearing Kaya's mention of the book he found. Leaving his shelf, he joined the other two at the table, pulling up another stool as he took a seat. He skimmed the title as Chloe had, nodding with a smile, "Yeah, that sounds pretty much exactly what we were looking for."

The Originals are spirits of Harmonian Legend that were born long before even Arceus itself. Being spirits of pure elemental energy, they were said to be children of the unborn All Mother. As the Eons passed, they grew tired of the nothingness that surrounded them, with only one another for company. They combined their unique powers to create the first Pokemon in existence. Arceus, born from the Originals powers, was the only Pokemon capable of utilizing all of their abilities. With that much power, it imprisoned the Originals within stone tablets, created a world where reflections of itself and the Originals could live in harmony and gifted it's world with those stone tablets.
It predicted that far into the future of it's creation, a great tragedy would threaten the descendants of his first gifted creations, and so he chose to free the Originals from their stone prisons in the form of weapons and armors. These would empower their possessors with the unique powers of the Original they had been in their first life. Some of the Humans, as he called his non Pokemon creations, would be direct descendants of the Originals and the power would unlock their truest forms.
With the power gifted to them by their weapons and armors, these humans would be able to defend Arceus' children from the great tragedy it had predicted.
The weapons and their Powers, as predicted by the Harmonian Ancients:
Grass - Hana Nagamaki - Able to cut anything made from natural materials and cause it to grow into a new plant.
Psychic - Mind Staff - Enhances the latent psychic abilities of it's possessor.
Bug - Sectid Scythe - Allows one to communicate with Bug type Pokemon and grants the owner an insectoid ability to shed their skin.
Dragon - Draco Gauntlets - Grants possessor unparalleled defensive abilities, akin to that of Dragons scales.
Water - Aqua Buckler - Grants the owner the ability to breathe underwater and control any moisture around them.
Fire - Blaze Greaves - Grants owner the ability to resist insane temperatures as well as the ability to catch anything they kick on fire.
Electric - Spark Fan - Grants the owner an immunity to electric shock and the ability to control technology.
Ground - Boulder Chuks - Grants owner the ability to increase body density and weight at will and an immunity to electric shock.
Rock - Solid Rod - Grants owner a rock hard will and the ability to crush the most massive of stones with a light blow.
Ghost - Wicked Ring - Grants owner the ability to become intangible and enter the spirit realm.
Steel - Chrome Bow - Grants owner a steel hard armor when fired and magnifies the strength of any blow by 10.
Ice - Crystal Needles - Grants owner a cool demeanor and the ability to remain calm and calculated under any kind of stress. Grants control over ice and cold temperatures.
Poison - Noxious Dao - Grants the owner an immunity to all types of poison, regardless of how much is introduced to their body. Can kill any living thing it cuts within minutes.
Dark - Shadow Edge - Grants owner the ability to melt into any shadows and control the darkness that come with them.
Normal - Pink Pinwheel - Grants the owner and cheery outlook regardless of the situation and can create gale force winds at will.
Flying - Feather Rapier - Grants the owner a very light body and the ability to levitate/fly at will.
Fight - Knuckle Dusters - Grants owner increased strength and stamina while intensifying physical blows of any living thing around them.

Brayden had to re-read a couple of the passages, hoping Kaya didn't mind him looking over his shoulder as the prince read aloud.
"...Wow..." was all he could manage once it had all sunk in.
"So there's basically one weapon for each type," he reasoned, pulling the buckler from his bag to examine the shield, "We have water, grass and dragon here, right?" he inquired, referring to Kaya's halo-like blade and Chloe's gauntlets.
"I have to say, this is too accurate to be just a fairy tale," he smiled faintly, looking over the passage. After all, he had seen the powers of Kaya's Hana Nagamaki in person. He still didn't know how to invoke his own armor. Perhaps Ariadne could help with that, after all, she was the one who first pointed out the buckler's strange properties (although she didn't know what it was... she just told him it creeped her out).
"So can only direct descendants use the abilities, though?" he inquired, looking back down to the book. He had no clue about his lineage to be honest, as his family in Fuschia were not his biological parents. So there really was no way for him to determine that.

Chloe smiled, "Wow indeed," she agreed heartily with Bray's proclamation. She had to admit, it was very interesting.
"I'm a bit curious about the descendency thing too," she admitted with a nod. Although her reasons were different than Brayden's, "As far as I know, our family's always been in Blackthorn, so I'm not sure if there's any Harmonian blood in us. However, and I'm not sure if this is just a fluke. Back when I was in the woods, Mika had the gauntlets. I just let him wear them at the time, thinking they were just some trinket Alkaid found in Sasha's gardens. But the thing is, they didn't seem normal at all. When he sparred with Entreri, and don't tell 'Treri this, but Mika pretty much wiped had him beat on everything. The two are normally fairly evenly matched."
"I'm not sure if that was just coincidence, but it seems the gauntlets do have an affinity with dragons," she shrugged. That was the only thing she noticed about them, however. Since she subsequently confiscated the gauntlets from Mikami, she had kept them tucked in her bag for safekeeping.

"I'm not sure." Kaya replied to Brayden's comment on lineage. "It just says that some would be direct descendants and the weapons would unlock their true forms." he said as he reread the passage for the umpteenth time. Flipping a few pages, he found a small anecdote that had been added in towards the end of the story.

"Uh...guys..." he started, pointing it out. "My name means "Prince of Plants" or "Prince of Nature" in Harmonian." he said as he began to look slightly scared. He really didn't want Brayden being put in danger to protect him or his kingdom.

"Right, I had forgotten about Sasha's staff and Nona's ring," Brayden nodded, realizing that pretty much everyone of their group had already come across a weapon. He recalled Marth having a sword on his back as well... Maybe?
Brayden re-read the new page yet again, peeking over Kaya's shoulder still.
"So that means that anyone you've met could come across one of the weapons," he reasoned, giving a slight nod. That explained why they had Dragons, Plants, Water types, Psychics, and Ghosts represented already within their group. He didn't really think anyone else had closer contact with Kaya than them.
"So that implies that Chloe and I can use the powers of our armors, despite not being of Harmonian lineage," Brayden paused, seeing the slightly startled look come over Kaya.
"You okay?" he questioned, resting a hand on the prince's shoulder reassuringly.
