[PRP] Bad boys bad boys.. (Kitsune and Rahu)
Dec 7 06

User Image
Kitsune sniffed the new air, confused by the many things around him. It had been awhile since he had been some where that was so..quiet. A part of him was uncomfortable, but his other side was extremely relaxed. He knew he could get used to this place, but it would just take some time. Picking up his trusty dagger next to him, he trotted forward, and scoped out his surroundings even more.

His mane stuck out sharply as he picked his speed up, feeling his muscles pump. He had spent the day lazily sitting around, so he decided he needed to wake up a bit. He perked his ears up every now and then, making sure to stay alert. He knew there were many different Soquili out in this land, so he didn't want to take any risks just yet.

samus x
Rahu still had a bit of a ragged look to him as he stood idol by himself since Ra his hawk familiar went off on his own for a while. He had yet to see anyone again since he popped up again and really he preferred it that way. Though actually he wouldn’t mind coming across someone just to tear into. Flicking his tail, his ears perked as he caught the noise of hoofs. Staying where he was, he waited to see who might be coming about.

Kitsune saw a bit of a clearing ahead, so he sped up even more in a playful excitment. He was worried that his body would get weak if he kept sitting around all day, so sometimes he needed to bring some of his energy back.

As he pulled through it, he let his legs slow down, and he shook his head to wipe off some of the sweat. It was a nice gallop... though his ears perked up before he could notice that someone was there. Looking ahead, he saw a figure standing, with its hair flowing behind. He walked towards them, slowly and carefully, to get a better view of what and who it was.

samus x
Rahu then saw an orange stallion carrying something in his mouth and he seemed to have slowed down from his gallop then starts to walk towards him, slowly. Narrowing his eyes, he kept a watch on the other stallion. Standing still he watches and waited for the stallion to get closer to make any move. Though really he was not one to start talking first at all or make any move to show any sighs he even cared. Tossing his mane, he purposely moved his head to look away to see what the other would do but kept one blazing red eye on the stallion.

Kitsune felt his mouth squeeze tighter on his dagger, and he narrowed his scope on the dark stallion in front of him. -What was up with this guy?- he thought to himself. He continued forward until he was at a pleasant distance from him. As he watched him look away, he chuckled.

He slowly put his head down, and placed the dagger at its normal position, right by his front leg. When he raised his head up, he kept his shoulders up, and kept his eyes straight on him. "And who might you be? I do not think I have met you yet.. My name is Kitsune."

samus x
Rahu slowly turned his head to again look at him as he adressed him.but what stood out was that odject that he now set by his front leg, which was odd to Rahu. " if you had met me before you'd know it." of course some how when someoen meets Rahu they wouldn't forget him too quick. " i'm Rahu and your quick totalk to someone you don't know." was his responce to Kitsune in a flat tone at the moment. " and take it your new around here. am i right?"

Kitsune's ear twitched, but he breathed through his nose what felt like hot air. Closing his eyes, he pollitely responded, "I see. And yes, you are right, I am very new here." He eyed the stallion carefully and chuckled again. "And why would I remember you?" He watched the stallion stare at him, watching him judge every part of him. He tried to keep his cool for the moment, but with every second he felt his blood boil even more. He twitched his leg every now and then, feeling his dagger close on him.

samus x
Rahu let a dark smirk come across his face as he then started to then walk around Kitsune. “you’ll have to find that out now for yourself." as he continued to watch the stallion, that chuckle irritated him, but for the matter his malicious temper was not flaring. but as he watched the other stallion, he could tell he was on edge as he watch his leg twitch now and then feeling that odd object. He actually might have to be careful if the stallion could use that object as a weapon. “out of curiosity what is that object on the ground there?"

"Oh this old thing.." Kitsune smirked back, but then let his tone get serious. "This dagger has been with me everywhere, its been my battle partner ever since I was young.." He decided not to talk too much, for he didn't even know this stallion at all. As Rahu circled him, he stood tall, not shifting a bit. He wasn't the least bit worried, but he could tell that Rahu was strong. His eyes told him everything, and he wondered if he truly was a warrior at heart.

samus x
Rahu stopped in place infront of Kitsune before he responded as he eyed both Kitsune and that dagger. " interesting.. so your tellign me you can fight with that dagger, as you call it." it truely made him courious if Kitsune could really use it in battle, hence the reason he said what he said. of course Rahu would have to be strong since he has gotten in plently of fights, some he lost, and some he won. flicking his long tail, he could tell jsut from Kitsune's stance that he was one that has atlest gotten in some fights.

Kitsune let his eyelids fall into a more relaxed position, and he responded calmly to the stallion. "Of course. In my harsher days of fighting, we used anything from katanas to small daggers as such. This dagger though.." He paused, and then turned back to Rahu. "Yes, I was, though will always be a combat fighter. What about you? You seem like you have had your share as well." He unstiffened his legs, feeling a bit more at ease. Although the stallion in front of him may have had a temper, it seemed that they connected on a level of interest, and that tearing each other apart was not going to happen that moment.

samus x
Rahu notice Kitsune relax and so he only slightly relax, seeing as there wa sno need to start something with him. " quite interesting to know someone can learn to fight with such objects that i thought only two leggers use." he then shrugged at Kitsune's question. " i been in my share of fights." yes he did have a bad temper at times and most of the time was pretty snappy but there where times where he wasn't. when Kitsune talked about the dagger it seemed there might be some meaning to it but he wouldn't bother to ask.

Kitsune bent over, slowly though, showing Rahu that in no way he meant to attack. With most precision, he nipped at his dagger, which made a clicking noise. Seconds later, he whipped the dagger in the air, catching the opended sheath perfectly, and letting the cover fall next to him. He bent over again, placing the dagger in the dirt. "Its the only thing I know how to do, fighting is all I am good at. Learning how to use weapons has taken many years of my life, and if it wasn't for my skill I wouldn't be alive to tell." He didn't mean to act so showoff ish, but that was the way it was. "Are you interested in this kind of weaponry?"

samus x
Rahu tensed a bit but watched as Kitsune almost in a show off why, took the dagger from its sheath, and showed him the dagger. with how presise he was in doign so, it reminded him how Entreri was simular. " not really, i was more interested in how you would manage to use it. and it seems you learn to use it quite well." he took only one step forward and looked at the dagger more. " i know one though who actualy might be."

Kitsune turned his head and thought for a second. "What I used it for in the past was not something I regret nor am proud of.." He looked down and then back up at Rahu. "It just takes a lot of practice, my sensei when I was younger made me hold that thing in my mouth for months at a time." Ruffling his hair, he turned back to Rahu. "What about you, though? I feel as if I have said too much about myself." He watched the stallions hair cover his face, and wondered what stories he had in his past. "Its strange being somewhere new.. you seem like you know this area well. Is there anything I should know about this place, if I may ask."

samus x
Rahu lifted his head up a bit after satisfied with looking at the dagger and looked at Kitsune. " i would asume it would take alot of pratice to use that dagger." he shrugged a bit and gave a light snort. " i supose everone has somethign in there past they are not proud of. as for saying too much about yourself, really you haven't." flicking his tail, he hated geting into about himself. " theres not much too me really. and of course i know this area pretty well as i been around here for quite a while. all there is to know is watch your back for anything."

((Man they really get along fine X;DD I thought it was gonna get nasty, though they seem a bit similar in things :3 ))

Kitsune watched the mysterious stallion. He was actually suprised, when he first approached, there was a bloodish feeling in the air, that even he radiated. The air had shifted, into a more pleasant feel. "I will take your advice well, then." He bowed to Rahu, and turned his head to look at the area around them. "And I thought it was going to be hard for me to actually meet someone.." He turned back to Rahu. "I just find it hard putting up with others sometimes. Who knows what others I will meet here." He let out a tired sigh, wondering what runs in he would encounter. Both he and Rahu were uninterested in impressing the other, and although first impressions are always the hardest, those thoughts had already faded in Kitsune's mind.

Kitsune did know one thing though, Rahu did not look like someone who he should have bad relations with. He was glad that he let his childish anger fade earlier in the encounter.

samus x
(( lol Rahu can get nasty but so far Kitsune has yet to spark that malicious side or start up his temper xDDD))

Rahu nodded to Kitsune. “If you have the patients to deal with others it’s not hard to deal with them or even meet anyone." he smirked a bit to himself. “I on the other had don't have patients when it comes to dealing with those that get on my bad side or most for that matter." though in a more relaxed stat, he still had his guard up as usual as that’s how he always was. If Kitsune hadn't let his anger fade earlier they most likely would have been fighting already.

Kitsune thought for a moment, and then returned to the conversation at hand. "Sure i have patience.. sometimes.." He chuckled, and felt the wind hit him lightly. It had started to get chilly, and he shivered to himself. "No I do have patience, I just tend to get it fights easily, though I am trying to break away from that old attitude. " Everyday that he was able to be calm showed him that he wasn't as crazed as he thought. "Heh, don't worry, many get on my bad side as well.." He sighed, wondering why he always so strand offish to some.

samus x
Rahu felt the light wind coming, which blew his long mane about slightly. he could feel it was getting colder because of the wind, which cause him toonly shiver slighty since the long mane of his blocked most of the wind til it moved his mane away. " heh i don't have any and don't care to since i'd rather not deal with those who bring out the other side of me. but then again i have my own way of dealign with them if i do come across them." having always been by himself but he did come across others from time to time, really he could care less to keep his temper in check or care about anyone for that matter.

Kitsune wondered what Rahu meant when he said 'his own way'. "I hope it is not to much to ask, but I am interested in what you mean." He wondered if it was too much to just blurt out that question. "You seem like a stallion who won't budge for anybody, and I respect that." Kitsune had a tendency to act the same way, but it was only when he felt there was a lack of respect in the air. Though, he did have his moments when he would just, let his fumes out. "Are there any particular soquili I should watch for, only in the sense of bringing my rage out?" He chuckled, wondering what advice Rahu would give him.

samus x
Rahu smirked at kitsune. " would you really like to know how i tend to deal with those on my bad side? and yes i wont budge for anyone if i deam them not worth my time of day." he then eyed Kitsune with the smirk still on his face. " that would be hard to say since i hardly know what would set you off but im sure you will find theres only some things to worry about."

Kitsune eyed him back cautiously, imagining how the dark stallion would react to others. He decided take his words a few steps back, and to not ask anything that could create conflict. "I am sure that our reactions are similar at times, so how you deal with those on your bad side I could relate to. Obviously there are also many differences between us, but I agree in not budging for anyone as well." He shook his head lightly, trying to get some of the wind out of his ears. "I guess this will just be an interesting adventure."

samus x
Rahu snickered slightly to himself and eyed Kitsune. " not everyone is the same. we have our differeances adn we have our simularities. " he tossed his maneto get it out of his way with the wind blowing it about slighty. " an interesting adventure is one way to put it." pawing the ground lightly, he had abit too much energy from standing too long and was iching to ether get into a fight for the rush or a run.

Vodka stumbled in the grass, feeling a breeze sweep his mane back and forth. His little legs shuffled, trying to get used to his quick thinking mind. Once he was content with scoping the area around, he sped ahead, feeling a burst of energy throughout his body. The little foal was excited, for the land seemed to be filled with many different Soquili to meet. His mother had let him go off on his own for the first time, so he was eager to see who he would run into.

dinyana
It seemed so strange here. It was much different then she had expected. Of course being a new one to this world many things were anew. The grass breezed back and forth, leaves fell from their homes and soon the world would be blanketed by snow. So peaceful. So tranquil. And yet...so longing.

Then again what did she know? Being a new one into the world, Yonit was incredibly inquistive. But she liked it this way. As long as the world around her stood in peace then she would never judge it. She would never doubt it. For if she did, then everything will start to crumble. All tranquility would be gone. She would be gone.

As the foal scurried forward, he glanced ahead to see a figure that seemed about his size. His insticts told him to scare the figure, and pounce in their sight unexpectedly. Though, his mother had scolded him for doing such things in the past, especially when he almost made one Soquili fall over. Slowing his pace a bit, he walked closer to the figure. He could now tell that it was another one of his size, which made him excited.

Swinging his puffy tail back and forth, he looked at the colorful female. "Hiya! What's your name? My name is Vodka, are you new here too?" Excited to have someone his size to talk to, he wanted to run in circles, though he tried to remember his mother's teachings of being pollite in front of a lady. His eyes went back to forth, looking at the mare carefully. "Wow, you have lots of pretty colors on ya!"

dinyana
Yonit's eyes broke away from the grazing clouds in the air. They wandered towards the ground were a young foal, such as herself, looking excited in his eyes. It was quite normal for children such as themselves. Young, blissful, unaware of the evil in the world. It made her somewhat happier.

"I am Yonit. It is very nice to meet you...Vodka?" She said in tune, his name strange to her. She had heard the term Vodka before. Though she had forgotten where.

((Vodka in Russian means wine, shampaine or beer XD))

((Hee really? Well his Momma's name is Tequila XD So I had to continue on XDD))

Vodka took a deep breath in through his nose, and tried to calm himself, for the other foal was much calmer than him. "Yonit? That's a cool name." He nodded, and continued, "Yup, that's my name!" He shook his head to get some mane out of his face, and gleamed at Yonit. "So how do you like it here? It seems like you are of a similar age as me." He smiled warmly at her, carefree as he always was. "I am thankful I ran into you, it is nice to talk another in my age range." He had talked to many adults, but this was the first foal he had run in to.

dinyana
Yonit looked at the fast talking foal strangely. He was quite bubbly and optimistic. She was a bit surprised. Perhaps he would be like this in the future as well. They say the adults were very wise and intriguing, but even they were strange in many ways. Some were optimistic and some were pessimistic. Others were wise and magnificent geniuses while others were just...insane.

She saw it as a right to passage. Soon enough he would go through it and perhaps she would too. But for now she wanted everything to freeze in place and never move.

"This place seems...nice in some matter of the word." She pleasantly said, showing a warm smile back to Vodka.

Vodka looked at her carefully, but continued smiling. "I am not sure what you mean, like when you say matter in da world?" He stumbled with his words and blushed at his immaturity. "You seem very mature, I am jealous. I feel stupid." He put his head down and swung one of his hoofs over the grass.

Slowly raising his head again, he wisped his tail and looked around for a second. "Hm, have you explored here at all? My momma let me go on my own today and I am excited. You can come with me if you are interested." Widening his smile more, he realized it would be much more fun with company. "Plus, maybe you can teach me how to be more mature like you." He giggled to her.

dinyana
Yonit giggled a bit. "Maturity is not measured by one's words. It is measured by one's actions."

With a sigh she started to ponder. Exploring around would be quite enjoyable. Not to mention a change from a recent boring overture that she has been experiencing. Mother and father, what would they say? But why would she care, her reckless spirit called. Let reality fall before her feet as she galloped around.

"Okay, Vodka," she started again, brushing away words that told her to hold back herself, "I will come with you."

Vodka looked at her, confused, but happy at the same time. "I am glad then, if it is not by words. Hmm but my actions.." He stopped himself and let his smile grow more. "..are also a bit immature." Fluffing his tail, he giggled to himself.

He gleamed at her response and hopped to the side. "I am excited then!" He turned his head to look at what direction to go. "How about that way?" He nudged her to come along, and started into a comfortable trot. "I am not sure where we are going, but that's why it is fun!"

dinyana
Yonit smiled a little. "It does not come without price, Vodka. Maturity has a heavy cost too." With that she made a small frown. Oh how she would give up maturity to have what she had before. Though without maturity perhaps she would not be the witty and intelligent foal she is right now. But childhood innocence, it only lasts so short. How foolish of her to have given it up so soon, so fearlessly. What a shrewd one she is.

She then blinked and shook her head, plastering another smile upon her lips. "Life has no map. It is not needed," she delightfully said, fluttering her small wings. There was the sky, in which she could fly. But how she loved to walk and see the world that trembled under her small hooves. It made her feel so strong. So accomplished.

Feeling his little legs moving underneath him, he watched as Yonit spoke. His expression was that of a small student, as if listening well to every word she spoke. "A heavy cost? That sounds complicated.." He put his head down slowly and imagined horrible thoughts in his head. He really had no idea what she was talking about, but was imagining over dramatic scenarios of tortue and dragons.

Hearing Yonit say those words brought another smile to his face. "That couldn't have been said better!" Doing a light buck, he sprang forward next to her, cheerful as he always was. He felt his eyes flow to her wings, which he was very interested in. "You are so lucky that you have wings! My momma always dreamed of being able to fly, and when she had me she hoped that I could have such a gift. I am still sankful though, that my legs work!" He giggled, and looked back at her. "I guess I will have to work hard to be the fastest runner that I can be."

((I really like how this RP is going, how Yonit and Vodka are so different, maturity wise X3 ))

dinyana
Yonit made another light giggle and then perked up her eyebrow. "Was your mother a Soquili of wind? Sounds enlightening," she said gently in hidden glee. Her mother was a Soquili of wind and she was blessed with her wings, unlike her sister who was not. Yonit did not care much for wings though. They were no use to her if she was still caged. Until the shackles were off her legs and wings she would never fly away like she had dreamt of every night to the stars.

"I hope for you to accomplish your goal," Yonit continued, breaking from her thoughts. She was not a fast runner herself, but she was much more content with sitting and musing in the cold and the sun. It was a strange life for a foal. Not one that any would assume. But she was not like other foals, upsettingly.

((I like it too <3 They are really different, even though they were brought out of their baskets on the same day 8D))

Vodka shook his head gleefully, and said, "No actually, my dad is. My mom was hoping I could be lucky with such a thing but my brother got them. It doesn't really matter to me though." He nodded shaking his hair around. "When you get bigger you will be able to fly around, that's sounds pretty neat!" He put his eyes to the sky but at the same time was a little afraid. "I'd be kind scared, at first though.." He blushed embarrassed.

"Thanks! I figure if I can't fly I might as well run fast." His eyes went down to his little legs, hoping that they would grow much stronger soon. He wondered what kind of stallion he would grow up to be, hopefully he would be as strong as his dad.

((Ooh yeah I forgot about that >3 Heee so cute ^_^ ))

dinyana
Yonit nodded a bit. "I see. My mother was a Soquili of wind. I received her wings, while my sister did not. She was quite disappointed to say the least." She made a small sigh. It seemed that people were taking notice she was a wind Soquili. But she did not wish for attention. It seemed frivolous to suggest that some Soquili were better than others because of wings, horns, markings and among different cases, strange attire. But the world just never will be at peace for such things.

Yonit was happy that Vodka seemed so unaware of the world around him. Perhaps it was best this way. At least he wouldn't be hurt by the truth just yet. But all must face the melody of death that engulfs the universe at some point. Before that point she hopes he learns.

((Sorry for the overdue reply))

((No worries!! ^_^ ))

Vodka thought about if he was feeling the same way. "Hmm, I am sorry to hear she was dissapointed. I really don't see a difference, I mean being able to fly would be nice but I am just happy to be here anyways." He wiggled his tail and continued, "I am pretty clumsy too, I would probably have bad balance anyways." He put his head down gently and chuckled at the thoughts of him running into a tree.

Vodka glanced at Yonit and thought about how she viewed things so differently, and of course it made him interested. "So when I'm older, am I gonna be more mature and stuff?" It was true, since they had been talking, he wondered if the only way he would be able to understand more mature things was if he himself actually grew as well. He wondered how Yonit was able to feel such thoughts already, and because he didn't understand them, he wanted to learn too. It was probably for the better, though, that he was indeed unaware.

dinyana
Yonit made a small gentle smile and nodded. "That is quite a good gesture and way of life, for a young foal." She then looked at the clouds, looming around the clear sky. There was doubt in her mind that it would stay this way for very long. Nothing was meant to last, including the clear sky.

After hearing Vodka's next question she made a small sigh and looked back at him, sadness hidden in her deep eyes. "Regrettably, yes. When all grow older maturity starts to follow them. It then flies away as you become of older age and then goes into the stars, looking for a new host."

Vodka's face lit up at her comment, and he didn't feel so dumb finally. He just wanted to impress his friend, and in the beginning he felt completely inferior to her thoughts. He hadn't made any friends yet and he was enjoying her company. He was thankful that he ran into her.

Vodka's face lit up again but in a different way, shocking and showing a bit of fear. "I don't know if I want to grow older now.." He felt his bottom lip quiver, and wasn't sure what thoughts were entering his head. When he saw other adults, they were so carefree, and now he didn't understand why.

dinyana
Yonit shook her head in disappointment. Not in Vodka, but at herself. She must have scared him. After all he was only a blissfully innocent foal. How could he know. What an imbecile she felt like.

"All must grow older, but it is not punishment," she said, hoping to cheer him up again. "It is a gift to become older and wiser. There is no such of a punishment in age."

Vodka, embarrassed but still wanting to look brave, looked up at her again. He felt himself let out a smile finally, and he said to Yonit, "I think you will be very wise when you are older. I may have to come to you for advice, well if that is ok of course." He playfully giggled, but meant every word.

It seemed to him like the other foal had thoughts constantly on her mind, and Vodka wondered if there was something he could do. "Is there anywhere you would like to go in particular?" He knew the air around them was cold, and that took away many fun possibilities. "I just want you to be able to have fun too." He blushed at her, but felt bad that his mind was so blank.

dinyana
Yonit made a small smile, her eyes closing, little invisible seeps on happiness coming out from beneath her eyelids. "If you ever need help with any at all, I shall be always there to assist," she said gently. Though she wouldn't tell him all the time what to do. Things in life needed to be sorted out by the two or more in a fit themselves.

Yonit started to ponder her response and then sighed. "Wherever the winds take us is were we go. Bound by their strong meanings a float. They gently guide as at many times. But in a hurry they attack with no halt. So do not fret on where our path takes us, for no matter where we go we will always be here."

Feeling his eyes light up, he nodded to Yonit, "Thank you, I am gratful! I wish there was something I could do to help you..." He pondered for a moment, and then delightfully opened his mouth again. "I hope I can just be here to make you smile and laugh." He wiggled his tail at the joy, knowing although he could be goofy, he loved making others happy.

As he listened to Yonit speak, he realized that she truly was amazing. She may not have seen it herself, but as her words flowed gently out of her mouth, Vodka felt absorbed in the placement of the words. "Wo...Wow." He said, stunned. "I guess here is perfect, then." He smiled.

dinyana
Yonit gently smiled at Vodka, trying not to falter out a light blush. "You have already, my dear friend," she said happily, her smile beaming with joy.

She then giggled a bit at his response, not expecting him to say it. What she meant was that no matter where they went they would always be on the planet. But it seems he somewhat mistook what she said as for being right here at this place. She did not bother to tell him, not wanting to make him feel bad again. In reality she was okay where ever she went. "Everywhere is perfect, as far as this life goes."

Vodka noticed that Yonit had mentioned the word 'friend'. From all of the other Soquili he had met, none had considered him an actual friend, and Yonit of all Soqs did so! He beamed with joy. At least his goofyness was helpful in some situations. "Thank goodness." He said, lightly.

"Mm everwhere is perfect... though I like right here for now!" He giggled, and wiggled his body to the feeling of a cold gust. "Though, I can't wait for winter to be over. I like the snow, but I like the warm weather too." He nodded to her, and looked up at the frosty sun. "Which do you prefer, Yonit?" He saw the trees move next to him, so he moved closer to try and shield her from the cold gust. "These must be cold and rough on your wings." He said, worried.
dinyana
Yonit sighed a bit. "Winter is a time of happiness and yet sadness. A time in which children, such as ourselves, play in freedom and frolicking joy as our cares vanish with the wind. Yet at the same time the land becomes barren, frozen with snow. Crops start to whither and so do others, so very slowly. Harsher times make even our mothers and fathers freeze into submission."

She shook her head from her words. Planning to say more she forced herself back. It seemed she forgotten that Vodka was only a foal; though she was as well. To say such things would frighten him. She wanted to teach him, but not in a way that would scare him out of his wits!

"But I enjoy much nicer weather conditions than this," she quickly added, hoping he would accept her direct answer. "I am not too sure about my feathers, but I will manage, do not fret."

Suprisingly, Vodka nodded to her with her first statement, being not as suprised as usual. "Mm, this concept is something my father explained to me a bit ago. I am aware of the changing of the seasons, though for now try to enjoy some of my freedoms and joy." He wondered if Yonit had ever let loose, and forgotten such thoughts.

Thinking about it more, he boldly stated, "It is easy to think about all of these things, but it can sometimes be more worthwhile to just let loose, for from these experiences we may learn more than we had thought about in the first place." He smiled to her and in his head thought about what he stated, which was something his mother had said to him once. It was something that always stuck with him in his mind.

Looking at her feathers worriedly, he kept his smile and said, "As long as you are not feeling too cold from them, that must be good." He chuckled.

Dulled by his day, Ariston roamed the skies as he normally did, letting his golden hair flow in place behind him. He wasn't sure what he was in the mood for, but he was extremely confused by the uneventful day he had. He glanced down in perfect time, and saw an open stream. He couldn't resist, for he had to follow his normal routine. Swooping down, he landed peacefully, letting the air from his wings rustle the trees around him. He approached the water, which was always his best friend. He looked into the stream, to find his purple eyes staring back at him. He turned his head back and forth, noticing there was no need to worry or fix his hair. Content with his mastering technique, he turned away from the water, almost sad to go. He wasn't sure if he wanted to fly again or wander, though he was desperate for some kind of contact. He eyed the surrounding area, and sniffed for any sign of movement.

Lady Twitch
The scent of dry snow from the limbs of bark had wandered in. Almost like the same musk of war with out death. A pale and crimson unikalona mare had set a stance near. Pale hair drifted with red tips that almost looked like they dripped blood, but did not. Though with a shine from the dark sky's moon traced lines of which almost did make her look more like a red liquid except for the white that shone, the closer she got. Flying- why fly? What danger was there?

Heading closer she stood merely five yards away, not even with a sound. She was not sure exactly what he was. Another four-legged creature. That could not be exactly nutritious, she had thought. Her tail curled lowly, as she stared with green eyes. Sober, but almost mocking. No smile graced her for the moment- not even a snarl. Gaiacenta then chucked her head back for a second to let her hair slide at least to one side, even though it flatted over one eye.

Ariston was suprised that his mare insticts were off, but through a spark in his brain he turned his head to a small sound. Curious, of course, he silently crept, trying to find whoever was there. His ears moved around like radars, hopeful that he was getting closer. He was easily noticed, shining in his white and golden glee. He avoided the many branches around him, careful to dart from cuts or scrapes on his perfect skin. He continue to sniff, until he stopped suddenly to notice something he had not before.

What stood in front of him was another Kalona, though she had uttermost beauty. Her blood-like color glimmered in his eyes, and he was in awe of this finding. He avoided most Kalona mares, though he just had to meet this one. He crept closer, but left them plenty of space. Bowing his head politly and feeling waves of hair fall around him, he said, "Good evening, my name is Ariston. It is a pleasure to meet you. May I know your name?"

Lady Twitch
Certainly was not a Kalona. Was much more of a hellish mix of a Unicorn and a Kalona. Apparently for reasons of confused breeding. Lifting her green eyes to him. The same kind when one saw a vulture rolling around braying about. Lifting her chest up though as to at least consider she at least saw him, her stern look stayed sober. For a moment she then took a few steps to his side, walking around to the other side. Studying him. Is he really this white? Is there red somewhere? Of course.

Her tail lashed to her right side with a content snap, against the grass. "For now..." She stopped, her forequarters pressing back to make her seem taller, "You can perhaps call me a predator." She said, her eyes looking to him with obscure fascination. By now a smile marked her face. What beauty that was in her was more-than-so hiding a malicious beast. She could be graceful, but her favorite side of the coin was not exactly lighthearted. "The pleasure should be yours. You're not harmed aye?" Trick question at that. Sweet fantasy? No. You had to be insane, or pretty darn stubborn enough to keep on your feet before her. Standing there solid, but with a twisted leer.

Ariston snorted, but then realized the tatics of the female. He was overjoyed with her beauty, but yet his beginning feelings were now rotting at the movements of the UniKalona. He watched her horn, feeling his steadily on his head. "Oh how thankful I am.." he said, sarcastically, and bored at his finding. He had hoped that there could be something different with this strong female, but yet he was already judging based on his past encounters with such. Ariston may have looked weak according to his beautiful nature, but he wasn't afraid to let his Kalona blood boil in his veins.

"How foolish of me to try and get to know you, it seems as if that isn't going to happen." Scoffing and letting his wings out wider, he kept a bold stance, though trying to avoid any kind of mischief. He still watched her, drunk by her beautiful color. "I must say though, I do not think I have seen you around this parts before. Is it bad that I was impressed with your presence?" He wisped his tail up, and felt it fall to the ground dramatically.

Lady Twitch
The ruby mare grinned and nodded to what he had seemed to display. Poor dear had came across only to see the twisted side. Though she would not always keep her malicious behavior. It was only when one could assume her beauty, but not know the turmoil it takes to make a diamond. Her brows lifted with empathy, "Not quite. Moths hit the flames always. It burns, but it still is what enticed it once." Her hair rolled against the winds. Northern- why all of a sudden? Her ears flicked, and yet she pulled herself to turn almost- but only a 90 degree from as she stood once facing him.

Watching about she was not going to take chances of an ice storm if it were to come. She'd rather much a warm place. It was not cold--- yet. Had it been, she could fall asleep and be a fleshsicle. What an amusing idea for those not-so-satiated carrion. She would not mention that thought out loud, had it might disgust the pale creature before her. She was unsure of his potential yet.

"You may have not seen me, for my kind is usually shunned on both halves of hence we came." A smile fell upon her face, her lashes closed to keep from a small cold breeze hitting them. Though looking to him again, those pale green eyes watched the side of him. Any more of his kind from where he came?

"Normally to indulge in amazement at my kind is an insult to your own blood. This is why I watch for what one does. Such self smears may just be mockery." Watching elsewhere by now, and then with the same grin from before. "It would be wise not to be so kind to one who would be willing to insult either side, or be kind to either side."

Though standing there, watching him- perhaps waiting to see how he responded.

As she turned, Ariston watched the mares movements, seeing the strength she possessed. He too had noticed a change in the wind, though it was never something that strayed his attention away for too long. It was hard enough for him to focus on one thing usually, so he kept his purple eyes on the mare for now.

"Shunned? That doesn't sound like any fun." He let his lips curl into a smile, and he perked his eyebrows. "You may talk quite a bit about my kind, though I never said that I was accepted either." Although he was still a Kalona, the others would never acknowledge that he could be one. The beauty and poise he possesed was seen as worthless and disgusting, and if they wouldn't recognize it, he wouldn't waste his time with them anyhow.

He then put his head down for a second to avoid a big gust of wind. "I acknowledge what should be acknowledged, I find beauty quite important." He brought his eyes back to her, feeling cold wind slide down his legs. "I am not good with mockery, anyhow. Many use such a thing against me." He chuckled, knowing how others usually reacted to him. Maybe it was hard to take him seriously, though such a thing never bothered him.

Still confused by some of her responses, he sighed, continuing, "I don't understand why what is coming out of my mouth is insulting. Is beauty insulting? I have heard such, others are indeed insulted by my beauty. I am not neccessarily insulted by yours, I just enjoy watching it." He kept his gaze.

[PRP] Hairs of Perfection (Ariston and Ringlet)
Dec 24th 06

((For Hime and Tweek, you all know the rules >3 ))

User Image

As he glided through the air, Ariston noticed that it was a bit windy today. Feeling the cold gusts sliver around the temperature of his body jewelry, he shivered, realizing the harshness of the weather. Also knowing that wind damage could greatly ruin his lucious hair, he decided to play it safe and land in a simple opening. Spreading his wings further apart, he dramactically landed, hoping to showcase a wonderful display of flight for any spectators. When he hooves finally touched the ground, he was at ease, knowing that his hair was safe from any harsh wind.

Whipping his tail up in the air, he let his purple eyes scope the surrounding area. Sniffing here and there, he also brought out his senses to see if anyone was even futher away. Realizing his hopeless efforts, he trotted forward, wondering if anything was further ahead of him.

Golden hoves walked over the soft and green grass below, a yellow colored mare flapped with her wings so some dust and maybe a few leaves would fall off. She just came out from the forest from just a daily walk and everything seemed very peaceful today. The mare stopped when she made her wings all cleaned up and sniffed at the new area a little here she had never been before. New areas was always a little scary to her but here it looked very nice and peaceful witch was good or else she would have stayed in the forest for a while.

" Aww such a nice scent this area has~~ "

She called out happily with her little soft voice and looked out over the area with her iceblue eyes.

Out of bordom, taking another huge sniff seemed to be lucky for once, and his female senses kicked in. He didn't know where this new scent was coming from, though he was able to pinpoint a direction. He trotted forward, wondering who was ahead of him.

Knowing it would look strange to a female to see a stallion darting at her, he kept his pace slow, though eying the surrounding areas for any sign of life. Before he could take another breath, he finally saw the figure that his nose had so rightfully picked up. Slowing his pace, he walked forward, making sure the mare was aware of his presence. He still could not see if it was a Soquili he had known or not, though the figure stood brightly in the field. His excitement grew with each step that he took.

Hime
Ringlet took a few steps forward and felt the nice and soft grass under her hoves it was still a little wet but still very nice. She shock her curley mane and wagged her tail, her big curls wagged nicley in the soft air and she started to look around to see what this pretty place wanted had to offer her.

She took a deep breath and streched out her odd colored wings but this mare was all odd colored it wasn't that normal to find a yellow colored female with colorful hair and she had wings witch wasn't very normal either. She mostly looked like a horse taken from a fairy tale.

" Ok what to do? maybe there is some nice animals around here to talk to "

The mare smiled and started to look for some life around her.

As Ariston was able to completely approach the mare now, he saw the beautiful details that she had. With bouncy curls in both her mane and tail, she possessed wonderous colors on her. His purple eyes watched her, and he was impressed with her stunning features. He then stood, right in front of her, and as he bowed his head he stated, "Hello there Miss, my name is Ariston, what is your name?"

Flipping his own lucious mane out of his face, he watched her curls bounce as she moved. He couldn't help but comment, "You have such stunning hair! How do you keep it so maintained and perfect?" Being a hair fanatic, he was amazed at her curls' perfection. He wondered what the personality of the female was like, and he was interested to find out.

Hime
Ringlet froze when she heard someone speak she hadn't even heard or noticed someone comming...she turned her head around slowley and clared her troat she was an easy one to scare of you where after scaring others. The mare saw a strange looking but beautiful stallion with odd horns, such scary wings and all that blonde hair it had to be ahrd to take care off...

She didn't know what to say but he didn't look unfriendly...so she nervously opend her mouth..

" U..umm g...good day sir! i am Ringlet... "

She said with her soft and low voice it was hard to hear her...and then she blinked at that odd question he asked her...how she kept her hair like this?

" Well my hair? i...i was born this way so um i don't to anything specific to it "

Ariston noticed that he seemed to have left the mare at an uncofortable position, so he took a step back and said, " I apologize if I startled you, I just couldn't resist meeting one as stunning as yourself." It didn't occur to him that he may have acted to quickly. He then saw her looking at him strangely, and wondered what was wrong.

"Is everything alright? Do not worry, I may be a Kalona but I will not bite." He playfully winked at her. Most other Soquili had the same reaction as she did, and he was used to it by now. He may have been the first Kalona that she had seen, so he was sure it was a suprise to her. It would definitely be a different perspective, though, then some of the other Kalona out there. He then responded to her comment, "Of course you were born with such hair, you were born with perfection of course. That is always a good thing." Being a perfectionist himself, he always knew when to admire other's perfection.

Hime
Ringlet watched the strange stallion..she didn't wanna offend him but she wasn't ready on someone to start speaking to her that quick she didn't even notice him but she seemed fine. She turned her hole body around so it looked a little better so she atleast faced him when she spoke to him.

" No it's ok...i just wasn't ready that someone would start speak to me...i was watching the area when someone suddenly spoke to me. Heh i am an easy one to scare "

She giggeld softly and looked a little confused when he said Kalona she had no idea what that was but he was probably talking about himself and his looks. No the word Kalona didn't ring a bell in her head but she hoped those creatures wasn't dangerous atleast it sounded like that when he spoke off it.

" I never heard of the Kalona...and you seem to be very fashinated of my hair but i promise you it is not perfect "

She blushed lightly she wasn't use to getting so many compliments about her looks before...such a silly stallion this was. She turned her head away so she didn't had to look at him and show him she was blushing.

Ariston kept his head high as she spoke, and he continued to listen with ease. "I was watching the area as well and it was getting lonely, so when I saw you standing here I knew there was company." He nodded to hear, and continued, " In the future I will make sure to try and not startle you, though. He felt bad for doing such a thing, he would have hated to be startled as well.

It is probably better that you have not heard of a Kalona, they are very violent creatures.. His mind trailed off, remembering all of the Kalona he knew. Each one more vicious then the other. Ariston had a bad side, but he only let it out when necessary. "I try to not have a bad temper, I don't have the energy for it. I use my energy to look good." He chuckled to her. He noticed that she was blushing lightly after his comment, and he smiled. " You may not think you are perfect, but in my eyes your features are quite lovely"Ariston relied on features for judging everything, and he would always view things that way. It was just the way he had always been.

Hime
Ringlet nodded her small head she was very tiny compared to him but stallions usually was more roburst and more muscular it was usually that in nature, small females and big males. She watched the stallions gold, horns, wings and all that hair he had it had to be hard to take care of but she tought he did a great job!

" Oh it's ok no worries...but if you say kalona's are violent and mean creatures how come you are not like that then? "

Ok she didn't know he could be laying to her but his spirit didn't feel that violent as he spoke off the others off his specie. And she raised her blue eyebrowns when he mentioned he used his energy to look good instead that was just so silly she never heard a male speak that of himself before.

" Heh you are funny you know that...you are the first male i met that thinks off his looks and that really likes complimenting women "

She giggeld lightly.

Ariston nodded his head before answering her, for he got asked this question a lot. His temper was indeed different from other Kalonas, and he did not feel the need to constantly be angry. Of course he still had Kalona moments, he just did not bring them out as much. "I just don't have the energy to be mean and hate everybody all the time. I would rather people notice me then fear me, of course." He closed his eyes, scoffing at the thought of utter lonliness. If people were afraid of me they would not notice me for what I truly am." Fluttering his purple eyes, he dramactically moved his hair once again.

He chuckled at the mare, and smiled at her remark. "I appreciate these things, so of course I would compliment you. You are blessed with stunning hair and a beautiful smile, and that is always an important trait." He looked at her colorful curls again, wondering what he would look like with a perm. "My looks are very important to me, I like to look my best of course. To me it is always important to show your best all of the time. Though, in my case it is just natural beauty. He winked at her playfully.

Hime
Why did he cared that much about looks? he was all pretty anyway he didn't had to care she was sure he looked like that all the time without doing much. She smiled and looked at his golden hair she had one of her curls in yellow too but no the same color as he had..

" Hm well i think the inside is more important it's just a plus if your looks are great too "

She didn't really care that much on how others looked as long as they didn't lie and that they where nice she was fine. She couldn't help to look away again when he complimented her looks again he seemed to really like her outside..

" Well why? i am sure girls like you anyway just because you are nice that is all that matters...but i am sure you can get a few extra with your gorgeous hair "

She laughed she was actually only joking with him but she didn't know if he would understand that.

Ariston felt a sly air sniffle through his nose, and he smiled at the innocent mare. "You are very kind, to look on the inside. Having confidence is something I find important on the inside. I'm not really sure what other kind of 'inside' one would need." He chuckled at the mare. He then continued, brilliantly saying, "I am not sure what you mean, with 'plus'. I think it is something that is deserved and what one is born with of course." Ariston's mind only saw one thing, which was excellence. That was all that mattered to him.

As the mare giggled at her remark, he let his mouth curve into a sly smile. " I do my best to show kindness to all beautiful females, for it is attention that is well deserved.". He lightly swung his head back, letting the gallons of hair follow. "I also love my hair, and try to be precautious with it. That's why I was so intrigued when I saw your curls, for my straight hair could do nothing of that sort." He did his best to not only look good, but always show how good he looked and acted.

Realizing that he was talking quite a bit on about himself, which was something he always enjoyed though knew was rude, he turned to the mare saying, "So, it appears you are new in the area. Are you enjoying it so far?"

Hime
Ringlet didn't understand why she shouldn't look on the inside? a pretty otuside could usually decive many girls heart she had both heard that from her bigger sister and mother.

" I was raised like that and i don't think i will change now "

She started to groom her colorful wings a little with her nose lightly while she listend to what the stallion had to say. She wounderd where this males family was or maybe he didn't have one? usually stallions was loners until they find a herd to be with.

" Well there i come from i look quite normal...the rest off my herd looked amasing compared to me...specially my sister and mother "

She said with a happy but soft voice. She giggeld again when he talked about his hair sure it was great but if you talked about something all the time it usually got boring.

" Hm i am sorry i don't have any curley hair tip for you...and yes i am new around here...i left my herd about a few months ago and now i am searching for my own special home...how about you? where is your family? "

As Ariston watched her groom her wings, he heard her speak of her herd. "They looked amazing? Interesting, do you mean they also had beautiful colors on them as well? He was interested in where the mare came from, for whether she liked to admit it or not, she was a sight to see. From looking at her little details, he was sure that her family and herd was quite a sight as well.

He chuckled at her remark about curly hair, and stomped his foot playfully. Then, he moved on to her next statement saying, "You left your heard? I'm sure that was hard in the beginning. He nodded to her, and then continued, "Me? I don't have a family or heard. I mean, I am one of the seven deadly sins, but since we all have too many differences, we tend to break away from the idea of a 'herd'. He chuckled at his situation. Having buddies or pals just wasn't on his 'to do' list, though being in the Soquili land, he had actually met many splendid Soquili that even he could relate too. He still continued to stay true though, and uphold his duty to himself as the proudest and most stunning Soquili alive.

Hime
Ringlet was still surprised that this male was so intressted in her...she wasn't really use to much male company she usually spent her days with her sister and mother and her sister was the pretty one that got all the males intresst not her she was just a more simple looking wind soquili.

" Many say they do...but my sister is the prettier one not me "

She giggeld but sure her sister was beautiful but she didn't have a pure heart like she did but Rin hadn't noticed that, and not any from there she came from either. She finished her grooming and looked at Ariston with her blue eyes.

" Ah yes some things got a little complicated and i decided i was old enough to leave so here i am <3 "

She could always found her happiness somewhere else so that is what she was looking for. But she tought it was a little sad that someone who was as pretty as Ariston didn't have a family yet..

" So you dont have a girlfriend then or some blonde babies from you running around? "

Ariston's eyebrow lifted dramatically from Ringlet's comment. "Your sister is the prettier one? How could one say such a thing?" It was hard for Ariston to grasp on such a concept of self view, for it was noticeable that his was outragiously confident. "You should have more Pride in yourself, it is sad to hear you speak in such a way. Having those kinds of thoughts are not someting I understand well. He was confused by her statements, and could never even think of a male being prettier than he. In some instances it was good to always been confident, but in Ariston's sake his was blissfully ignorant, of course.

He felt himself laughing quite loud at the concept of a 'girlfriend'. "Of course I would love to see little blonde perfections of myself running around and conquering the world, though I couldn't imagine the idea of havine one mate." That sort of thing didn't tickle his fancy, for he enjoyed a variety for women too much. "Is that something you enjoy? Looking to settle down with a strong male? I could see a sense of motherly instinct in you." He smiled to her.

Hime
Rin nodded her little yellow head she always heard since she was little that her sister was prettier but if it was the truth or not she didn't know.

" Yes that is what my family said...but if it is the truth or not i don't know but i am sure someone will find me prettier then her someday...it's the inside that counts remember "

She giggeld again she had no problem being the second best looking from her sister but she didn't know it was actually the opposite her family hadn't really be that true to her maybe that is why she left? then she blushed heavily when he mentioned about having more then one mate...oh ofcourse he was like that and she knew some males liked having more females and some sticked to one..

" Umm i am sorry...well i don't know maybe someday if i found the right one "

Ariston chuckled, remembering this silly 'inside' idea. "Heh, that's right. Well I am sure you will find a good man like that. Knowing he could never fit those qualifications, he laughed to himself again.

Don't worry, I am sure you will find a fine mate. You have great kindness, so be patient of course. He knew she and him had many differences with these ideas, so he knew what he had to do.

"I enjoyed our time together Ringlet, but I am afraid I must go. I hope you have a pleasant day, and I am sure I will see you around. He winked to her, and suddenly let out his lucious wings. In a matter of seconds, he popped up into the sky, vanishing into the blue abyss.

Ariston thought he had heard a commotion, so he fluttered his wings with more speed and approached what looked like a group of many Soquili. After dramatically landing, his eyes went from Soquili to Soquili, until he was gazed on the mare in the center.

Stepping closer, he looked her in the eye, fluttering his, and saying, "Oh? I do not believe I have had the pleasure of meeting such a find speciman as yourself." He flipped his tail naturally and stared at her traits. Realizing his rudeness, he turned to the other Soquili and lamely nodded.

Looking at the mare once again, he bowed his head, letting the pounds of hair follow him to the ground. "My name is Ariston, what is your name Miss?" After carefully raising his head to fix his golden mane, his purple eyes continued to look at beauty she possessed. Of course he was interested in learning about this mare, for any stunning female speciman was sure to get his attention, at least for a little bit.

"What brilliant wings you have.." He said, almost always focusing his gaze back to them. Never had he seen such a thing.

CuterThanYou
Nos was momentarily startled by the kalona's grand entrance into their little chat circle and as a result, her ghost wings flickered and dissapeared into thin air. Realizing her potentially troublesome error, she quickly willed them back into existance, hoping no one had noticed.

Watching the newcomer, she tried not to stare too long and hard at his deity-like form. As he spoke and watched her, it was quite obvious how prideful this Ariston was, from the regal way he held his head and the careless neglect he showed to her fellow Soquili. It was Soquilis like him that Nos was used to dealing with as her duties as the Ghost of Christmas Past, so she felt no intimidation from being around him, as she might any other Soquili.

She listened to him compliment her and her wings fluttered behind her; she wouldn't go as far as to lie, she was indeed very honored to be complimented by such a handsome Soquili, but she knew he was just curious and wanted nothing more than answers from her to satisfy his curiousity.

"My name is Nostalgia, but you, as well as the others, are more than welcome to call me Nos." She replied, admiring his horns and golden hair. "And, I am rather new to this land, so please forgive me if I stare, but it's rare for me to meet such a magnificent creature such as yourself."

She knew she was feeding into his ego, but she hoped to make a good impression on every Soquili that she met... it wouldn't be good to make an enemy the first few days she arrived at her new home.

Summer Raven
The new edition to this 'happy fest' as Bairn kept mentally calling it made the stallion back up a step or two...it wasn't out of intimidation but surprise. He was large, he was blonde and handsome...but most of all he was a Kalona. The only type of soquili that the earth colored stallion didn't like all that well.

And he dared talk to the strange mare in the way he did...who did he think he was? A stuck up little brat, no doubt. Oh, yea...Pride. One of the seven deadly sings. Pride...or Ariston as he called himself. Nostalgia was much higher then he was in Bairn's book and it pained him to see mare's be talke do that way, even though the mare didn't seem to mind.

"If you don't mind." He spat to Ariston. "My friends and I were having a rather personal conversation. So why don't you go chase after a mare that might actually find you attractive and oogle over you instead of bothering us." Bairn stood in front of the Kalona, eyebrows raised.

Ariston chuckled at her response to him, but then lifted his eyes back on her. "There is no reason for an apology, it is always understandable to admire, and I am pleased you are doing so." Of course ignoring how abonoxious he usually could be, he continued on, saying, "I must say though, you yourself have lovely hair. It is always a pleasure to meet another who cares for such a thing." He naturally moved his head backwards, letting his fall again perfectly next to him.

Taking a few steps forward, he slowly started to walk around her, noticing her every detail. "Now aren't you a sight to see yourself, I am quite impressed with your wonderful details!" He made a childish grin, and continued to walk around until he was back in front of her.

Ariston looked at her again, wondering someting suddenly. "So, with those gorgeous wings, are you able to actually fly?" He wondered what sight it would be to see her gliding in the night sky.

After turning his head to see the stallion that spat his words out at him, Ariston narrowed his purple eyes to say, "Watch yourself, you should know how ugly jealousy is. The ugliness that you are showing is something I dispise." He sneered his sharp teeth. He wasn't posing a threat to anybody, and seeing such a reaction pissed him off.

CuterThanYou
Her hair was her favorite feature, and it pleased her to no end to be complimented on it. It took great lengths of time to have it braided just right, and Nos took a moment to toss her own mane to the side and smiled gently at Ariston, softly thanking him for his compliment.

Nostalgia flicked her tail to one side as she watched quietly as her new companion made his way around her in a circle. Kalonas weren't known for their kindness, and Nos wondered if he had any hidden motives behind his compliments.

Her wings perked up again at his mentioning of them, and she willed them to return against her sides. "No need to show off", she thought to herself, keeping herself in check. She knew that, although slow on the ground, her transparent, fragile looking wings could take her anywhere in a heartbeat. She used to love flying in the night sky, but that love had dissapeared over time. Maybe in this new land she would gain it back?

"Yes, I am able to fly with these wings, as fragile and transparent as they seem." she confirmed, allowing the wings to spread out and gently lift her off of the ground for a foot or so, then return back onto the Earth and rested them on her side at their rightful place.

Nos could immediatly sense Bairn's disgust with their new "guest". Of course, Bairn never gave off a super friendly attitude to begin with, but from his appearance it seemed that he had a personal distaste for the Kalona race.

Her eyebrows lifted high when she heard him coin the term "friends" as he spoke to Ariston, and she knew something was wrong. From the very beginning, she had noted Bairn's scoffing at the word "friend", and now he was using it to label Apple and Nalani, much less herself?

Gaging their reactions to one another and their harsh words, she knew, if something wasn't done soon, the duo would be caught in a fight.

She paused herself from stopping the upcoming feud, and decided that it wasn't her place to tell either Soquili what to do, so she stood quietly and watched on at their words, taking a few seconds to glance over at Apple and Nalani to see their own expressions of the situation.

Summer Raven
It wasn't about Nostalgia, Apple or Nalani anymore...they didn't matter at this very moment. It was about dealing with stubborn and stupid soquili like the beast in front of him. Ridiculous, it was, how ignorant the world truly acted...through the eyes of stallions and mares such as Ariston.

Ignoring the other three soquili, Bairn glared at the Kalona and shook his head. Stupidity...it was obvious. "Don't talk to her like that, Pride. That is your sin, is it not? You're Pride, the worst of them all. The dream of all mares and the envy of all stallions? Out of all the Seven Deadly Sins to come across, you have to probably be the one that everyone wants to meet." The earth colored stallions words slid off his tongue with much hatred, it was easy to speak his mind with this guy...oh how he hated the Kalona race...much like the stubborn stuck up ones.

"Jealousy, though? That's all you can come up with? Don't be silly, Pride...I'm never-" Bairn paused, an idea came to his head and it made him almost smirk. "Oh, yes I'm sorry dear Sir. Your beauty just awes me and I cannot help but feel intimidated by how you seem to capture the heart and mine of every mare that crosses your path. Oh how I wish I was you." Now the words were filled with the biggest amount of sarcasism. If this Ariston fella was going to act like he was supposed to, Bairn was going to play along.

No sense argueing with a Sin.

Aristons ears heard every word that the stallion shouted, but before dealing with that, he turned back to respond to the lovely mare.

"Ahh, that is wonderful then. It must be a sight to see you shine in the night sky." He looked at her wings once more, and felt his own flap at the thought.

He was distracted by the change in atmosphere, and felt a change in the eyes of the others around him. He felt the other's judgements of him, and they were not for his beauty. His blood started pumping, which was never a good sign. Taking in a deep breath, he tried to ignore the Kalona feelings pumping through his veins, and finally he turned to look at the stallion once again.

"Of course I am a one of the Sins. And of course I am a Kalona. It pains me too see you so upset, my fine sir." Sneering his teeth, he laughed at his sarcasm.

"Oh please. Jealousy is falling out of your expression. I do admit, it is nice to feel a proud sensation from your reaction to me, but at the same time save your energy. If you are trying to offend me, your efforts are worthless." Lifting his nose in the air, he flipped his hair once again.

He fluttered his eyes, and turned to Nos. "It pains me that you must witness this, I stopped here because I was impressed with your presence, and now this stallion is sitting here taking your attention away. That is NOT something that I allow. Attention should always go to those who deserve it." Ariston had his own set of rules, especially when it came to attention. The stallion in no way fit any of his guidlines.

He turned back to the stallion, and lifted his head high. "I am not really sure what you are trying to accomplish here, but this isn't why we are all here in the first place. I came here to meet Nos, but if you want to admire me, please find me on my own time." He winked to him and growled, and turned his attention completely on the mare.

CuterThanYou
Nostalgia flicked her tail from side to side and stared at the arguing stallions. What was it with male creatures that made them all "macho" all the time... like they had to fight or they weren't masculine or something?

She sighed... she knew female creatures weren't any better in their own ways... what was the deal with living creatures overall?

"It's all overrated," she mumbled to herself, still glancing every once in a while back to Apple and Nalani, wondering what was going on in their minds.

Both Bairn and Ariston had their own opinions, and those opinions were giving her a headache.

"You two just stop it." she barked out, her eyes narrowing. "There's no sense in you arguing... I mean, what are you arguing over anyways? What's so important that you have to fight about it?"

She paused and caught her breath. It wasn't like her at all to snap as she had... maybe being around living creatures wasn't such a good idea after all.. their tempers were starting to rub off on her.

Summer Raven
Sarcasm. It never really went over well with the smaller stallion, especially when others used it on him. Of cource, Bairn was filled with sarcastic remarks...but he hated hearing the voices of different sarcasms, it made him cringe. And this Ariston fella though he was all tough acting like the Sin he was, how annoying.

"Haha, stop trying to show off, a mare like Nostalgia will never lower herself to the likes of someone like you. And I'm not admitting to jealousy, never. For that's not what I have. Of cource I'm not trying to offend you either, I'm just speaking my mind, Pride. Act beautiful all you want, because I know I'm not but I do know that I'm certainly smarter then you. A Sin never uses his brain properly. They only focus on what their Sin is." It was Bairn's turn to give a sarcastic comment. "Oh, yes I just live for taking away the attention of beautiful mares from amazingly handsome stallions."

Bairn looked away from the rather large blonde stallion, away from Nostalgia and away from Apple and Nalani. Rather, he looked behind him, at nothing in particular. Just stared off into the distance, it was where he belonged, anyways. Far from the world, alone...except of cource his family, his familiars and Bliss and Astia. This meeting was turning out for the worst, he never meant to act like the way he was. That wasn't him. The real Bairn, the one he dared not show for fear of bad judgement was a kind and gental stallion...playful, but calm. Funny, but understanding.

Snapping out of his own little world for a moment, Bairn jumped at the sound of Nostalgia's voice. It sounded almost exactly like his mother, Mahiri. Blinking, the stallion sighed. "Sorry, mother." He mumbled quickly, still kinda startled by the voice. "I'm done, I just wanted to speak my mind. Ariston fella, you can have Nostalgia. I'm done now."

He grinned, slowly coming back to reality.

Ariston let the stallion rant, and listened to about fifteen out of the many words he said. He really had no reason to listen to such a lowlife, especially one who kept bringing up his Sin. "You really have a thing for sins." He laughed to himself, and continued, "I am sorry you do not fit any guildelines to be one, but keep trying little one, if that is what you wish." He blissfully stuck his tongue out, and turned away from the stallion. "Pardon me for not wanting to waste my precious breath but.." His back was to him.

After hearing the mare shout, he curved his mouth into a sly smile. "There is no need to be upset beautiful, you have your attention back now, well at least from me." He shook his head dramatically and felt the gallons of gold fall around him. "Hmph has this atmosphere suddenly gotten rotten." He sighed. "Well, its to be expected whenever I show up in front of a male."

He looked at both of them and sighed again, feeling exhausted from the whole experience. There was nothing in it for him by continuing to talk to them, so he decided to get outta there. "Well, Nos I wish you a fine day, but obviously my work is done here. I have better things to do anyhow, my'love." He winked at her and turned to sneer at the stallion.

"Good job toughy, you win. I shall leave for now, and hopefully never see your ugly presence again." He flicked his tail and laughed at the idea of the stallion being tough, and after that jester he popped into the air with one wicked swoop. His wings had extended perfectly, allowing him enough power to dash up into the air. Besides, by looking at the daylight he realized it was well past his normal time of pond staring, and his hair needed a fixin'.

Kitsune, for most of the morning, stayed shrouded in the trees. He was still fairly new to the area, and had not met many other Soquili. A part of him felt the same lonliness that used to creep on him when he was stuck in battle. Gripping his sword tighter, he decided to take the risk and go to a more open area. He was always cautious, for because he did not know the area, he was unsure of what Soquili could pose a threat to him. Trotting forward, he finally stumbled out of the trees.

He winced at the difference in brightness compared to the shaded forest, but felt better now then before. He hated the idea of always hiding, but had to remain cautious in order to avoid conflict. Though, looking around him, he noticed that the area seemed to pose no threat. Smiling, he trotted forward, which then progressed into a steady gallop. Feeling a rush of energy he bucked a few times, and then found himself peacefully scoping the landscape.

Bloody_Buffy
Esperanza had just had her afternoon nap, and was much more rested than she had been in the pre-nap stage. Stretching her long-tired muscles, she smiled, and took a deep breath, hoping to gain some kind of magical feeling of the season.
Times had changed. Soquili had come and gone, and she recognized that she hadnt met with any since her teepee mates had embarked on their own journey with other horses. She shrugged her shoulders, and bounded into the prairie.

As Kitsune was nuzzling the grass beneath him, his ears perked up at the sound of hooves. He quickly grabbed his sword and kept his eyes keen, looking in all directions to who was there. He then noticed a mare approaching him, and he let his muscles loosen, for it seemed she was not coming at him as a threat. He slowly walked forward, until he was at a comfortable distance.

She was a lightly colored mare with a smiling face, and her bouncy expression made Kitsune put his sword down next to him. He didn't want to come off as a threat to her either, so he tried to act as naturally comfortable as possible. When they finally were at a talkable distance, he bowed his head to her, saying, "Hello there, my name is Kitsune. What is your name Miss?" He admired her color, for it stood out beautifully.

Bloody_Buffy
The palomino mare looked up in surprise. She hadnt expected anyone to waltz across her path. Most were gone for the 'holiday.' Of hwat that meant, she was unsure.

"Helloo" She said smiling. This stallion was most odd. He was bright orange, but his mane and tail looked stiff. She'd never seen that before. Smiling again, she spoke.
"My name is Esperanza. But Esper isnt quite as big a mouthful."

Kitsune nodded to the mare. "Esperanza, it is nice to meet you.." He then corrected himself nervously. "I mean Esper.." He sighed and looked down. "I apologize, I just haven't encountered anyone in a long time, though I am happy to have run into you." He smiled to her, bringing his confidence back. He was always a little flustered in front of females. He could take on any other stallion, but yet he was extremely timid to females.

"I hope I wasn't interrupting anything, I just saw you also trotting the field so I thought I would say hello." He shook his head to get a piece of man out of his face.

Bloody_Buffy
She hsook her head, a happy smile playing on her lips. In some ways, she was so much like a filly. She was bouncy and carefree, and truly, only had problems every once in a blue moon.
"Of course not Kitsune! You dont intrude I assure you. Actually I am quite glad of your company. I have been alone these past few days, and I hear its almost Christmas, and Im told you shouldnt be alone on Christmas. THough Im not sure why.. But I was beginning to despair."

Kitsune was unaware of what 'Christmas' was, and as he listened to Esper, he tried to piece together what it might mean. Considering that she did not want to be alone, he figured it was some kind of celebration of some sort. "I am glad that I am able to keep you company, I have also been alone for some time." The cheerful female was just what he needed to get his spirits raised, and his anxious eyes changed into a lighter and more peaceful gaze.

"Is there anything you wanted to do on Christmas in particular?" He shuffled his front foot, embarrased but curious at the same time. Since he was there with her, he wanted her to be happy on her special holiday.

Bloody_Buffy
"Well" she looked confused, and she was unsure of what you were even supposed to do for Christmas. Let alone what she wanted to do. Giving a toss of her mane, she tried to give him some kind of idea, but she wasnt even sure what Christmas was. All she knew, was she was told not to be alone for it, and now she was glad to have company.
"Well, I honestly dont know what you are supposed to do for this 'Christmas..' Do you have any clue?"

Kitsune quickly shook his head. "I also have no idea, and have never heard of it. I feel so out of place.." He chuckled, and wondered where he had been in this world. With a slight twitch of his leg he felt his blade still trustfully on his leg. "I must seem so boring.." He chuckled but then smiled at the mare. "If there is anywhere you wish to go I will keep you company. I still do not know these parts very well, but I am always happy to wander." He gently wiggled his tail.

Bloody_Buffy
She looked down, at the odd object resting near his leg. Looking back into his eyes, she spoke.
"Oh yes, I do enjoy company, so maybe we could go.. to the pond! It is frozen a bit.. or..well.. alot. But it is so wonderful to try and cross while its so slippery."

She gave him a friendly smile.
"I dont think you are boring at all."

((Poor Kitsune, he is so strong against other males but is a total dweeb in front of females rofl ))

He quitely moved his leg forward so his sword would fall behind it, embarrassed that he had made her notice such a thing. At her idea though, his eyes brightened almost too excitedly. "That sounds great! I must say though, I may be a laugh, I am pretty clumsy on ice." He chuckled to her.

Feeling his cheeks swell, he nodded to her kindly and said, "Thank you, you are too kind. " Perking his ears up, he looked to her again saying, "So, would you like to lead the way? I will do my best to follow right behind."

Bloody_Buffy
(Its okay<33 I have a Stallion like that. Esper is just a sweet little thing who loves everyone.]

She smiled, nodding a bit.
"Oh dear me. Yes, I agree. I will probably be a sight as well, as I tend to not have the grace a mare wants on ice. So do excuse my clumsiness. Though I tend to be a clutz regularly."

She nodded.
"But I shall lead the way if you like."

((Aww she is sweet <333))

He let out a gentle laugh at her comment, knowing that he too was the same way. "It makes the experience more fun that way, ice is so spontanious to walk on, you never know when one could fall."

He carefully picked up his sword in his mouth and walked up next to her. "That would be great then. I would be happy to always lead, though we would get horribly lost." He chuckled, knowing it was true. If he knew an area he was fine, but his lack of knowledge of the Soquili land usally ended up in him getting lost.

Bloody_Buffy
She giggled a bit.
"Oh yes. I fear that I only know my way around if Ive been there for some time. I have a horrible sense of direction, that much I know."

She said, beginning to walk through the cold white snow. As she trudged, she looked back at him, and slowed to where they walked side by side.

"SO, Mr.Kitsune.. Are you new?"

(Aw, thankies! I love her, she is just my little girl. I love Kitsune's personality!)

He shivered a bit from the different clumps of snow he was walking through, and he must of stood out immensely from his color. An easy target, his nervous battle mind thought.

"It doesn't seem like you do Esper." He chuckled to her, and put his eyes on her again. "Either way, I usually don't mind getting lost, there are always random adventures that come from that."

As they continued on, he looked to Esper on her next question. "Actually yes, I am quite new. Instead of doing what most do and going out and meeting people, I spent many days trying to adapt. I should have tried it the other way around.." He rolled his eyes to himself, but realized he was talking to her better and with confidence, so he took an easy deep breath in. His ears still scouted the area for any movement.

((Haha thanks, I've always wanted a dweeby war personality like his XD Where he is only cool when he fights or is angry X3 ))

Bloody_Buffy
"I am just a social thing by nature. I enjoy meeting new people, and that can be my demise sometimes," She giggled.

Looking over at him, she saw the anxiety of being out in the snow, and the sense of movement. Looking at him and raising an eyebrow she spoke,
"Is everything okay? You seem very tense. Are you looking for someone?"
With that she looked around her trying to spot the someone that Kitsune might b elooking for.

(Brb, Dinner timeh)

"That is great you are social though, I am trying to be more like that. I just am not used to it, I was a warrior for most of my life so." He nodded to her.

Feeling completely embarrassed, he shrugged to her and said, "Forgive me, I do not mean to stray away from your attention at all." He sighed. "I just have a bad habit of always scouting the area to make sure there are no threats. Forgive me again." He bowed to her, feeling more stupid by the minute. Just when things were going well, he had to crash it again.

((Enjoy! ^_^))

Bloody_Buffy
"I was head mare for awhile.. I had the duty of being social. If I wasnt, our herd wouldnt survive.
But your words are kind, and I thank you."
She said, smiling. The smile reaching up to her eyes.

"Do forgive me if I intrude, but, I saw you drop something by your leg earlier.. And now you are being so cautious..
Are you a warrior by chance?"

Kitsune's eyes lit up, knowing that he could connect with her comment. "That is very impressive, you must be a strong leader then." He nodded to her, impressed with her information. "I was a commander for many years of my life, so I know the feeling of helping others survive." Although he usually did not go into much detail about his past, he wasn't ashamed or afraid to remember it.

He then felt his words stumble, and when he found his voice again, he said, "Yes I was, or have been all of my life. I guess you can say I am not used to peace, so forgive me again if I continue on with such distasteful actions." Sometimes he really couldn't help it, he grew up with threats always around him. He was born a warrior, and he would die one as well.

He then looked back at the mare, feeling like he was talking too much. "Tell me more about your herd, I mean I don't mean to ask too much.." He stopped embarrassed, but then turned back to her. "I mean, just in the sense of why you wouldn't have survived." He then shook his head, more mad at himself then before. "I don't mean to ask such a depressing subject, though I am interested in your story of course." He nervously smiled to her.

Bloody_Buffy
"A strong leader? Not so much.. Hence the reason Im not longer in the herd. Maybe Im not good enough for much of anything."
She sighed, looking down at teh ground, then casting her chocolate eyes into his own eyes.

More about her? That was a first, no one, had ever asked her story. Not even Tai, and she stood a little taller, her head raised, and her eyes widened..

"You really want to know my story?"

(My bad, lol, I forgot)

Tweekend
He felt bad for making her think such thoughts, and opened his mouth to say something but felt himself stop. "I don't think that can be true.." he said, wearily, but kept his mouth silent, not wanting her to feel sad any longer. Of course he did not know her, but there was nothing about her that seemed like a bad leader.

He then widened his eyes at her reaction. "Well, of course I am interested.. if it is a hassle though forgive me again." He felt like such an idiot, first making her think sad thoughts and then making her question him. He would have acted the same though, about his past. He didn't like to talk about it much.

Bloody_Buffy
"No, no Im sorry. Its just.. No onew really cares about my story. Ive never had to repeat my past to anyone.. But I'd love to share it with you, if you have the time."
She smiled up at him, embarrassed that she had made him feel embarrassed because she questioned him.

"It may take a little bit, but if you have the time, Id be happy to tell you."

She said. Not even Tai, or Micah knew of her past. No one but her had carried it with her throughout life.

"But how can that be.." He said, but then realized he was the same way. "I would love to hear it, and of course I have the time. I am honored you would share someting so personal with me!." Had he truly met a friend already? He was shocked with the experience.

Of all situations he could ever imagine, one of them was having a mare be so kind to him, and even acknowledge him enough as a friend to say such things. It was hard enough coming to this new land and surviving, but meeting someone with the same feeling inside them made him not feel so alone finally.

Bloody_Buffy
"I was born to the Cimarron herd, thats far beyond the Soquili lands.. Raised with a sister, I was a pretty happy filly. As I and she grew older, we both seperated, as my parents thought more would come from me than her.. SHe wasnt the most dependable sort.."

She stopped, and took a breath before resuming.
"Fuerte despised me for the thought of the parents liking me more. I believed her to be better than me, and I was saddened by her hatred of me because of something I didnt believe at all.
As I grew, I was annointed to be the 'Head Mare.' To help the lead stallion who had defeated my father in battle. I did, with a sad heart at the pressure of being the one my mother wanted me so badly to be.
So I 'ruled' for a while.. And one day.. Fuerte returned to the lands of our ancestors.. bent on destroying my place in our herd. She spread poison in the horses ears, until one by one, I was shunned. No one would speak to me.. Look at me.. I was pitied, and I was supposed to be someone. I wasnt 'fired' from my head mare job.. I quit.. Left with a heavy heart to find someplace where I would belong, as I no longer belonged there.. Far as I know, Fuerte was honored for her 'retrieval of the truth', and given my head mare position.."
She took another breath, hoping the story was of no bore to him.
"Shes spiteful, and powerful.. But shes my sister, and Ilove her so.. Even if she did attack me where it hurt. I didnt want the herd position.. I was happy being nameless. I would have given it to her in a heartbeat.. But she wanted more. She wanted my pain."

[Sadly enough, Im questing for her sister.lol]

Kitsune was speechless when Esper had finished her story. It had made sense to him now, everything regarding the subject. He thought for a few moments on what to say, for he did not want to say the wrong thing.

"I am so sorry to hear you had to go through that, though you are extremely strong for not giving up after it." He smiled to her. "And by the way, I still believe you are a good leader, you stay true to yourself, and that's all that matters. There is no definition of a leader- you make yourself one." Understanding her past memories' pain, he kicked at the ground, his mind filled with the story.

It had seemed to similar to him, and nodded to himself, sighing at the thought of the past. "Either way, it is good that you are living in the present here in the Soquili land. Although I apologize for making you remember such feelings, I now understand exactly where you are coming from."

Bloody_Buffy
"Dont apologize Kitsune. You are the only one who truly cares about the place from whence I came. I am happy to finally share it. To express the feeling behind my kind demeanor."

She smiled, and also pawed at teh ground.

"Do you have a story? A life story? If you do not wish to share it, I understand, but you seem very intriguing.. But somewhat sad."

He smiled at her, but realized his eyes must have faded as a curtain to the fake happiness he portrayed.

"Aye, I do.. I will be happy to share, you did do the same for me." He smiled at her, contemplating where to start.

"Let's see, I am from an ancient city in Japan. I was born to fight, literally. When I was born, I was scarred with a few ancient swirls on my back. That was a sign, I guess, to the village, that I would be the next leader. Well, when I say leader, I mean military wise.." He nicked at his cursed scars.
"That part of my life wasn't so bad, but the killing and fighting.." he stopped himself, knowing that he still was talking to a lady. More memories swept into his head, and his smile completely changed. Everything about his expression completely changed.
"The women I love.. she was killed by this sword.."
He was swelling.. his sword still next to his leg.
"I was the one that killed her, and to this day I will never forgive myself." He stopped and turned away, having the wind be the only thing moving around him.
"I was forced too, but that can never be an excuse. I don't want to, but I will carry this sword forever. How can I not?" He turned to her, wondering how disgusting he may look to her.
"Having to fight all the time was a horrible thing, but being here has helped me try to at least start a new life..."

He couldn't look at Esper, not now. He was shameless, though he had to be truthful. It was his past, and there was nothing else to it. Of course the stories went broader and deeper, but nothing stayed with him as intensely as that day.

"Forgive me.. Esper.." He said, twitching at himself. "I hope I can move on in this Soquili land as well.

Bloody_Buffy
Her eyes were soft. Her ears lowered a bit. She was dying to know why he had killed the woman he loved.. But to pry was rude, and in this case very painful. She went to him, and nuzzled him in a friendly gesture.

"I am sorry to make you remember those thoughts my friend.. I do apologize, for my history is sweet grass compared to yours."

She felt like a fool for asking this lovely stallion his past, when it had indeed been quite painful for him, and she hurt for him.

"I hope we both can make it. For we are both strong. Both of us are fighters, and I think that if we are friends, we'll go far."

Going back to his normal tweeky self, he blushed at the gesture from the mare. "I.. I.. thank you." He said, embarrassed as well. "I really am ok, I promise. I have had many years to think it through." He smiled to her, happy that he was able to reveal such a secret to someone.

"There is nooo reason at all to make you apologize, of all people." He smiled to her again. "Our history's were completely different, but through them we were both able to learn a separate story." He nodded to her boldy.

"I think we will make it just fine, I am just thankful that I ran into you. I haven't had a friend in a long time." He chuckled, remembering some of his buddies from the past.

Bloody_Buffy
She felt that this stallion was strong. Strong in a way she would never be. She nudged him with a creme muzzle against his neck, trying to make him feel the friendship that had arisen so quickly in the soul of her heart.

"I dare say that we will be quite teh friendly pair." She said smiling, offering him the only thing she was able to offer.

If not for her love for Tai, she could have possibly fallen for the stallion for the speech he had just given. But she did love Tai, and to think otherwise was cruel, and she wouldnt.

"I am glad to have met you as well."

Tweekend
Flurry lunged forward, feeling his little paws ache at each step. Today proved itself to be the worst day for him so far. He and his friends had all been separated, and it was absolutely freezing outside. Sighing to himself, he continued forward, shaking himself for any warmth. The forest seemed as though it was a maze, and he could not take it anymore. He was starting to really get upset, and all of his emotions were aching.

Tweekend
As Vodka pranced through the forest, he thought about all of his friends and how much fun he had with them lately. He noticed though, in the change in the lighting that the temperature was falling dramactically. Wiggling his body forward, he continued on a path that he knew well, for he knew his momma would yell at him if he strayed away.

The further in he progressed, the colder it felt outside. He wasn't quite sure why, but his shivering breathes felt nervous at each huff.

Tweekend
Flurry's ears picked forward suddenly, and he listened closely to the sound of branches moving. The air did not feel like there was any kind of danger, so he darted forward to see who was there. Whoever it was could hopefully help him out of the maze of a forest! His nose worked steadily to stay put on the scent, and before he knew it, he spotted a brighly colored Soquili who was cutting through the branches.

The many blues and black stood out boldly against the white around him. From the size of the Soq, Flurry could tell that he was a young foal. The foals eyes widened at the sght of Flurry, and instinctively he faced forward in a more defensive position.

Tweekend
Vodka looked at the lightly colored spotted fox in disbelief, and wasn't sure how to act. The fox appeared to want to pounce him, so Vodka knew he had to do something. He was just taking a shortcut anyways so he could get out of the freezing forest.

"Excuse me!" He said loudly, "I apologize if I startled you, but I mean no harm. I'm just trying to get outta this stupid forest." He knew his mother would be angry with his launguage, but it was true. The forest had proved to be nothing but a cold bum for him. Though, he was interested in the brightly colored fox in front of him.

Tweekend
The fox eyed the foal, but then quietly walked closer to him. He let out a simple smile, and then finally said, "Actually it is funny that you refer to the forest that way. I seem to be going in circles here, and all I want to do is get outta here." He pawed at the ground, and decided to step down instead of fakely saying that he knew where he was going.

Realizing his manners, he turned to the foal again, knowing he was the more mature one anywas. "Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Flurry. What is yours, little one?"

Tweekend
Vodka's face lit up at the kind nature of the fox. "Don't worry, I know this forest well so I can get you outta here." He wagged his little tail playfully and suddenly got his energy back.

Seeing the fox introduce himself, he tried to practice what his mom had taught him. Slowly bending his head down, he then said, "Hello, my name is.. Vodka!". Before he could continue on with his nice manners, he neck shot up revealing the foals true nature, as a complete youngin'. He wiggled with delight at his new finding.

Tweekend
Flurry watched the overly happy foal, and felt at ease with his presence. He seemed like a fun fellow, and he felt his body move closer to his new aquaintance. "Thank goodness, I am thankful for you help, Vodka."

As he watched the foal fail at manners, he chuckled almost too loud, but caught himself looking Vodka in the eye, not knowing if he sould continue laughing. The foal's reaction was simple: he burst out laughing. Flurry could do no other thing except begin to laugh harder himself, as he gleamed at the foal's humor.

Tweekend
Vodka finally took in a deep breath to finish his shameless laughter, and he turned back to the fox. "I would say we should probably head the way that I came, which would be that way." His nose shifted directions and went the opposite that they both were going. "I'm ready whenever you are." He smiled at the fox.

When he saw the fox move closer, he took it as a sign that he too was ready. "What were ya doing wandering this forest anyways?" He asked, curious at why the fox was out there alone. The same could be asked for himself, he thought.

Tweekend
Flurry stumbled next to Vodka, making his way throughout the snow clumps. "Whatever you say of course, I will happily follow." He smiled at the foal, and realized how happy he was for his company. He had missed his friends so much, but yet he had almost forgotten the lonliness he felt just a bit ago from laughing with the foal.

"Actually, I didn't mean to wander here alone.." His eyes got sad, though he continued on, "My friends and I were all in here together, but before I knew it they had all run off and met knew companions. Now I have no one." He kept a stern face, and tried to hide his sad face. "Though I am still happy for them of course." He bravely smiled.

Tweekend
Vodka lead the way, sticking his shoulders out and trying his hardest to act like a man. He wanted to look tough in front of the fox, only because he wanted to leave him with a good impression, of course. He felt himself slouch lazily, though, when the fox wasn't looking.

"Your friends, oh I am sorry to hear that.." He pouted his eyes and watched the fox's expression. He couldn't imagine something like that. He had seen other Soquili bond with other animals, and his mother had explained this to him recently. He thought for a few seconds, and then looked back at Flurry. "I don't think you are alone though, I will always be here for ya. I know I still don't know you that well, but so far I think you are super cool." He blushed at the fox, and turned his head forward.

Tweekend
Flurry found himself giggling again at the silly stallion. He wasn't sure why he was trying to impress him so much, but he appreciated the gesture.

"Yeah, that's what happens in life though. Lots of new changes, here and there." He sighed, but felt his eyes light up at the foal's remark. "Rea.. Really?" He had never had anyone say that to him, not even his friends. "I think you are quite the entertaining fellow as well." He smiled at him, fluffing his tail naturally. "If you don't mind, maybe I will tag along with you then for awhile."

Tweekend
Vodka pounced the fox, and circled him excitedly. "You want to be my friend too!" He was so excited, he wanted to go show his mom his new companion. "I promise I won't leave you, and I promise I will make sure to always keep you laughing!" He giggled and did a slight buck with his little legs.

"Then I guess you will be coming with me then!" He stated trotting faster now, almost exiting the horrid forest. "I can't wait to introduce you to my mom and stuff, this is gonna be so much fun." He looked at his new friend, and knew he was finally happy.

[PRP] Foal Frenzy! (Vodka and Zeda)
Dec 26th 06

(( XD at the name heart I am so lame >3 ))

User Image

Vodka pranced happily through the meadow, ignoring the cold breeze that was hitting his body. He had woken up this fine morning with tons of energy as usual, and he bounced back and forth in the open space. His mother had let him have the morning for himself, so he was excited to stray away. He always felt more mature when she let him do this, and he knew it would benefit his direction senses anyhow.

Sniffing the air a bit, he broke off into the fastest gallop his legs could accomplish, feeling the surge of energy slink throughout his body. He loved moments like these, for in his mind he was as strong as a warrior.

Chamain
(( xDD heart ))
Another lonely day spent in the snow. Looks like nothing to do but watch the clouds above float on by. Although the ground, covered with white fluff, was way too cold for a young filly like herself to lie down. Blowing the air in her lungs through her nostirls, she made puffs of mist in front of her which only happen to have lasted for two to three seconds.

She caught sight of another racing down a path or making one through the white mush. Zeda frowned at him, there was no one racing him or running after him. Why run and waste energy for nothing? Maybe some kind of marning excersise for this other foal. Not that she really cared but there was really no use. But it woudln't hurt to ask and see. Her legs and tiny hooves carried her towards the coalt.

Vodka's ears shifted to the side, telling him to turn his head and look. As he turned, he looked to see another Soquili who was about his size coming towards him. In spite of his excitedness to see someone, he realized that he had completely lost balance and speed of where he was going! Before he knew it, he felt a huge THUMP as he slide down a hilly surface into a snow clump.

A few seconds later, after he realized he was indeed alive, he popped his head out, feeling his eyes roll around. "Wow, that was fun!" he said, giggling at his awesome strength.

Turning back to the other brightly colored foal, he realized what a stupid impression he had left for himself. Slowly making his way out of the snow clump, and feeling an awful bruise on his bum, he stumbled towards the female, hoping she wouldn't hate him by now. "Hey there! My name is Vodka, what is your name?" He then looked back at his mess, and turned to her again. "Sorry, I must have totally lost my running groove. Gotta watch out for that ice." He chuckled.

Chamain
The word 'ice' made her shiver. She hated those slippery floors, she had fell numerous times on those. "Zeda is my name." seeing how the male got distracted because of her approach, she decided it was probably best not ask why he was running. He seemed a little bit clumsy but Zeda had tried not to laugh. She felt like laughing at him but held it in, and in the end where she couldn't hold it in anymore, the laugh came out as a cough instead.

Vodka, sounds like some type of drink to Zeda. It was an interesting name, then again there are many soquilis on this land who had interestign names that she would never have imagined someone naming their child that. "You like running?" she had chosen to ask this instead of what she wanted to ask before.

Vodka smiled at Zeda, and bowed his head politely. "Nice ta meet ya then!" He bounced his head up and down. He saw that Zeda was struggling to hide something, and from her facial expressions it looked like she wanted to laugh at him. Feeling his face mold into a bigger smile, he said, "Its ok if you want to break out laughing, what I did was pretty pathetic." He started laughing himself.

He nodded his head to her, saying "I love running of course. I have a lot of energy in the morning, so I like to just sprint a bit. The snow doesn't make for a safe ground, though." He cringed at the bruise on his bum.

"What about you, Zeda? What do you enjoy doing?" He wagged his tail cheerfully.

Chamain
How glad she was to find a coalt that wouldn't kick her for wanting to laugh. She let out a small giggle then quickly cleared her throat. Bowing? Why that is interesting. Zeda had done the same move to her grandmother. Only because she was older and she seemed like someone to respect more than others. But would a filly like her deserve such respect since she isn't really the nicest to other foals. "Energy in the morning? Well I'd be still tired...and weak. I'd have to move a little bit before any big movements such as running. My body freezes up easily." she had learnt in the past few days that she needed to stretch out her muscles.

"Well I enjoy most my time spending with my grandmama, but I heard that these few days that my grandmama isn't doing so well and that maybe I should stay away from her." her mother had told Zeda to not bother her grandma for a while, it has been said she has gotten insane. Of course Zeda doesn't know this much, she just knew not to spend much time with her."If I can't be with her then I like to come out in the open and maybe search for some berries to chew on and explore the place more." nodding her tiny head. This filly was so small that even Vodka has a bigger size than herself. Normally many fillies are the same size as the other gender. Zeda just hoped that maybe this is normal for a filly her age.

He giggled to her, and decided to reveal nothing new. "Heh, well I am weird, of course." His little face gleamed at her, feeling the same energy he grasped all of the time. "Your body freezes up? That sounds like it would be scary, I don't think mine has ever done such a thing.." His little innocent eyes made their way down to his legs, which were naturally twitching to make sure he still had movement. Realizing he wasn't frozen, he looked back at Zeda, ready to keep talking to her.

He turned his mouth into a slight frown, and responded, "I am sorry to hear about your granma'." Vodka didn't even know his, so he could never relate fully on the subject. "Hopefully you will be able to see her again soon." He nodded, felling hope for her as well. "I do the same thing as well, though I haven't been so lucky with berries, lately. Where do you go?" His eyes were widened, only because the taste of little berries sounded delicious at the moment. Since he didn't know, it appeared he wasn't the explorer he had thought he was.

Chamain
"Well berries are easily found in the forest...or atleast that is what the place is called." nodding, remembering what Yei had brought her to. A tree that contained the small juicy fruit. The though made her hungry but she didn't show it. Switching back to her grandma, Zeda looked down with a worried face. "I sure hope she gets better soon, so then I could hang around her more often." shaking her head, the filly smiled and lifted her head. "Have any idea where we are rigth now?" she didn't reconise this place, or maybe they were just in another part of the forest where she hasn't been. Although no berry bushes were able to be spotted.

She wanted to do somethign exciting today, but what? Maybe a dip in the beach. She has never down that before, but water is what ice is made from. Zeda hated anything water related onless for drinking or bathing in. Maybe going into the sea wasn't such a great idea. "There is never anything to do these days, I haven't discovered anything interesting really." yawning at the end of the sentence.

[PRP] Welcome to this Land (Kitsune and Ringlet)

Tweekend
((For Hime and Tweek <333))

Kitsune saw his bright orange self reflecting off the white of the snow. Gripping his sword tight, he slowly made his way through the clumps of snow and ice. He saw his breath spark out of his mouth, and he knew it was definitely getting colder outside. The wind left little chills along his back, and his hair was starting to feel like icicles. Although the temperature was still comfortable, he worried that a storm was coming.

Being his nervous self, his keen eyes consistently scoped the surrounding area. There seemed to be no threats of any kind, so he continued on his path, feeling more comfortable by the second. He was calm for the moment, and this was something nice for him.

Hime
A golden mare hurried her steps forward she had to find a warm place fast or else she wouldn't be able to fly for days. Her body couldn't stand cold that much sure her fur was pretty thick but not as thick as she would have hoped. Raised in a very warm land her body wasn't use to this temperature and her wings was very sensitive.

And she didn't know how it felt to walk on ice either and ofcourse an icy spot had to appear and poor Ringlet slipped. Her golden hoves couldn't find any grip anywhere, she closed her eyes but her trip on the ice ended pretty fast when she bounced into something red and warm...another soquili?

" Ouch....Nnnnnn... "

Kitsune almost had a heart attack, how could he not have noticed the Soquili that plunged into him? He had been drifting off, not paying attention at all. Lifting himself up quickly, he looked down to see a brightly colored mare with a lovely mane. He spazzed, realizing his rudeness. "Oh goodness, FORGIVE ME!" He used he head to try and help her up and stabalize her back, though he felt dumber by the minute.

When he was finally able to look her in the eye, he picked at his sword to make sure it was safely next to him. "Hello there.." he said, shyly. He looked at the details on the mare, from her mane to her wings. "Are you alright, Miss? Realizing she didn't even know who he was, he shook his head again, saying, "Ack forgive me for not introducing myself, my name is Kitsune.

Hime
She accidently flopped a wing in the poor males head as she tried to stand up and she finally got some balance after the unknown stallion helped her with his head. She felt so embarrased but she didn't know she would be hitting someone when slipping...she blushd lightly but tried to take it calm..

" Oh it's ok it's me who is the clumsy one here...i am not use to slippry areas...oh i...i am Ringlet nice to meet you! "

She moved back a few steps so she could look at the soquili she bumped into...oh a red stallion with a strange sword who could that be? she glanced at his sword of curiousity and then his spiky hair..he looked diffrent for sure. One off the mares curls fell down in her eye it was always that white one bugging her face so she blew it away...

" I was trying to find a nice place to warm myself at...i was in a hurry and i slipped so stupid of me "

He shook his head quickly and felt sweat drop down his face. "Forgive me I shouldn't have been walking here!" He realized how stupid that sounded and sighed at his inability to talk to females. He always choked, and said the wrong thing. "It is a pleasure to meet you, even in these circumstances." He bowed pollitely to her.

He then turned to the pretty female, chuckling a bit. "Don't worry, if there is one thing I have learned, its that you can never blame clumsiness and ice. Ice is a terrible disaster waiting to happen anyways." He smiled as confidently as he could. He had not run into a female as stunning as her, so he was embarrassed on how to react.

He then also felt a harsh breeze hit his body, and he looked at the mares wings as well. "It must be hard on your wings, this awful wind." He thought for a few seconds while looking around. "I would be happy to escort you to a warmer area Ringlet." He felt his face swell, worried at her reaction. He wondered if she would think that he was a weirdo for asking such a thing, but he always had to escort a lady.

Hime
Ringlet smiled it wasn't his fault it was very much her fault she had been in a rush and didn't look where she was putting her hoves. So she shock her head..

" No it's not your fault i slipped and you did just wake her when i bounced into you so i guess it's no ones fault "

She looked down at her hoves and then at the ice he was very right ice could really be a pain you could even die if you wasn't careful. She moved her wings slowley they where so weak and they where even weaker when it was sooooo cold.

" I be ok but if you know the area it would be nice if you could show me someplace there it isn't this cold "

She looked at him with her iceblue eyes and waited for an answer.

"Of course I can! He said happily, and peered his eyes in both directions. I think if we head right, I know of a cozy cave that I have rested in on cold nights." He smiled to her, and tried helping her over the small ice patch. Once they were back on normal snow, it was much easier for them to walk.

"If we stay in the middle we should be alright, there isn't much ice here, but the snow is much easier to walk on" He watched her carefully, hoping that she wouldn't fall. He knew the area pretty well, so he was careful with where they walked. There were so many things that he wanted to ask the mare, but he wanted her to get warm, first. He was excited to reach the cave.

"Actually, if we continue up this way, the cave should appear any second now. They were closer than he had expected, and he was happy that she would be able to finally find warmth. Are you still doing ok!?

Hime
She nodded her small head and tried to keep her movement up like stomping in the ground she didn't like cold areas but sometimes you get lost..ok well she got lost every often actually but this stallion seemed nice he had nice and calm eyes too..

" Ah yes you are right~~ i like the snow better it feels much nicer walking on too...umm are you sure i am not causing you any trubble? maybe you was on your way somewhere? "

She didn't want to bother him maybe he had something better to do then escorting her? she gave him a small and nodded again...she was ok she could last a little longer.

Kitsune smiled to the female, and tried to keep his head up high. "Don't worry, I am always happy to help. I really wasn't doing anything, I am thankful I ran into you." He looked around the area and saw the cave coming closer.

When they finally approached the cave, he stopped to let her go in first. "Here it is, it is nice and cozy and doesn't go in too far. It should protect you from the wind." He hoped that she would warm up quickly, for the breeze was harsh.

He let her enter the cave first, and then followed behind. The cave was suprising warmer, and made it much more comfortable for even him. "I am glad you brought a cave up, I was starting to get cold as well!"

Hime
She smiled awww another gentlemen on her adventure so far she met tree nice men so far outside her old home everyone was so nice and there was very many handsome stallions as well. But this guy he reminded of her old childhood friend who became all weird when he got into his teen years.

" Oh thank you and yes it looks great "

She enterd the cave walked around a little to see what kind of place it was before she layed down on the ground covering her body with her wings. She glanced over at the stallion she was still curious of his sword but no she shouldn't ask.

" Heh you are actually the second male that offers a cave to me "

She said and giggeld.

She was comfortable and warm now, and he sighed with relief.

"I am glad this is much better, Miss. It is terribly cold outside!"

He shivered at the thought as he entered the cave. He walked a bit closer to wear she was sitting, and placed himself on the ground next to her. He started to warm up as well.

"So, tell me about yourself? What were you doing on a day like today? It is just awful!"

He himself hadn't figured out why he was out, and he now wished he had stayed by his teepee. Though, he was happy to meet a new friend as always.

MoMo ran around the cave, circling along the walls several times until he became too dizzy to walk straight. At this point, he tried walking towards his friend, Goofy, but ended up just walking into a wall. MoMo laughed as his stomach growled. It has been so long since he had eaten anything.

Goofy giggled as he watched MoMo play around.
"Garwsh, MoMo! That looks like a lot of fun!" Goofy hopped around in a circle, but didn't get too dizzy. A gust of snow blew into the cave, brushing against Goofy. The winds were strong and knocked Goofy over onto the ground as he hopped.
"It sure is cold out."

The mountain lion sighed as he walked through the thick forest covered completely in snow...it was bad enough that the weather had gotten so bad to the point were he was shivering...but he was out here with Joy...the most annoying creature ever...well other then Bliss of cource. It seemed impossible to Bae that the stallion Bliss could ever find someone to match his joyess personality...but then along came Joy...oh what joy, he thought and laughed to himself.

"Go find someplace where we can rest, Joy. It's getting really cold outside but we still need to find Bairn and Bliss. Okay?" The mountain lion looked over at the colorful racoon and growled. "Stop playing and help me!"

Joy giggled as he rolled around in the snow, making little racoon angels in it and everything...the cold didn't seem to bother him because nothing could make him not happy. That was who he was. He was Joy...the overly happy racoon who was bonded to Bliss...the overly happy and stupid stallion. As long as he remained the color that he was, nothing could bring his mood down.

It took a moment or two for Joy to realize that Bae was talking to him and he turned to the rather rude mountain lion. That thing just didn't know how to have any fun...just like his bonded, Bairn. He had agreed to help Joy find Bliss, but only if Joy helped him find Bairn along the way...and that's how this mess started.

"Fine!" He giggled again, "I'll go!" And with that the racoon took off running, only to come back a few moments later with an even bigger smile on his face. "There's a cave up ahead...not to far from here. Can we stay there? Can we Bae?" Joy ran around the mountain lion until he spoke.

"Yes, we can. We actually need to because I'm freezing over here and you need to take a nap or something." The mountain lion sneered and the two of them walked to the cave.

Silent Spy
Goofy looked as a mountain lion and a raccoon entered into the cave.
"Garwsh, MoMo, look at 'dem creatures!" said Goofy, astonished that others were out and about when it was as cold as it was out. "You two must be cold!"

MoMo rushed over to the colorful raccoon and blinked at it, curiously. This surely was unlike any creature MoMo had ever seen before...oh, the fun MoMo could have with this one. Mischevious thoughts ran through MoMo's mind as he grinned.

Summer Raven
Bae could only stared at the two other creatures that already seemed to be in the cave as Joy and him walked in. It didn't come as a surprise though, seeing as the weather was pretty bad. Listening to the strange looking bunny speak, the mountain lion nodded.
"Yes, pretty cold. Do you mind if-" He was cut off as he glanced over at the ferret who seemed to be staring at Joy and smirked. "-My friend and I stay here to wait out this terrible weather?" Bae pawed at the hard ground, which was something he always did for a reason he couldn't explain. It seemed to keep him from lashing out as a real mountain lion would.

Joy giggled happily as he suddently found himself being stared at by a brown creature thing. He didn't even know what it was but it seemed to like his colors! "Hi! You're looking at my colors, aren't you? Yes? Aren't I the prettiest thing you've ever seen?" The rainbow colored racoon giggled happily and ran around MoMo for a couple seconds before stopping and staring at Goofy. "Oooh, what big teeth you have!"

CuterThanYou

Mauli shivered from the cold. Shaking his body, flecks of snow and water flew off as he trudged his way through the wind and cold, searching for his breakfast as he tried to stay warm. Daray had gone out earlier in search of food, leaving Mauli to fend for himself, having no other companions to romp around with.

His ears twitched as he heard laughter in the distance. Who in the world would be laughing in this kind of weather?

Up ahead in the distance, he spotted a cave, and that seemed to be the source of the laughter.

Curious, he quickly scampered his way towards the cave to investigate the noise.

Silent Spy
"Sure, you guys could stay with us," said MoMo with a mischevious laugh as he ran around the cave, towards a small pile of tiny pebbles that he collected. As he stood behind the pile, he noticed another ferret enter the cave.
I'll give this one an interesting 'hello', thought MoMo with a grim smile. MoMo began to kick the pebbles at the other critters in the cave, laughing all the while.

"Why, yes, I do have big teeth," said Goofy with a stupid laugh. Suddenly, a pebble slammed into Goofy's temple, knocking him over onto the ground.
"Garwsh! That hurt MoMo!" exlaimed Goofy, lying on the ground.

As a cold gust hit Flurry, he cringed and shook as a reaction. It didn't occur to him to go out on a morning like today, and he did not realize the temperature that it was until he actually stepped out into the cold. His nose had felt like frost was building up on it, and he missed his warm teepee with all of his new friends.

He suddenly realized that there were many scents drifting around his nose. The scents were new to him, and he was of course curious. Dragging his frozen paws along with him, he entered the cave that brought him all of these new smells. He made his way through, hearing noises get progressively louder.

When he finally made his way into the cave, he saw many different animals that he had not seen before, and he stood as still as an ice block, not sure what to do. He wondered if they had spotted him yet.

Summer Raven
Bae noticed that the strange little ferret creatures began to kick pebbles everywhere and quickly darted behind a rather large rock. He wasn't one to have fun, what-so-ever, just like his bonded and of cource he wasn't one to get hit by a flying rock. Sighing, the mountain lion mumbled a 'Thank you' to the ferret and watched as two new familars came into the cave.

What was this? A day for every stupid creature to come and gang up on him by having 'fun'? All he wanted to do was stay some place and wait out the weather.

"Hehehe, why? Why do you have big teeth, funny bunny? Haha, that rhymes!" Joy giggled happily and rolled around on the cave floor before getting plummeled by a few tiny pebbles on his tail. "Ooh! Fun! What are we playing?" The coloreful racoon asked MoMo, giggling happy before realizing that two more creatures came.

"Hello hello!" Joy ran up to the funny looking black and orange ferret and just stared. He was very dark, just like Bliss and it made him giggle. Oh how he missed his bounded so much. "Hello hello!" He repeated again, running over to the fox. "Ooh, you look like the outside! Snow! Right? Isn't that what's it's called Bae?" The racoon asked his mountain lion friend and searched around quickly for him, but Bae was no where to be found...or at least in Joy's mind.

[PRP] My Hair is Longer! (Ariston and Zalifur)
Dec 26 06

Tweekend
((Is SUCH a dork with thread titles >3 XDDDDDD)) Oh and for Nova and Tweeky <3

User Image

Ariston hated the winter especially, for his wonderful mirrors of ponds and streams would always freeze on him, making him rely only on his hair memory for fixing his lucious mane. If he really felt he was having a bad hair day, he would take the effort to fly to a nearby lake, though he was quite used to the feeling of perfect hair.

Flicking his tail, he dramatically passed his favorite stream, scoffing that it was still frozen. Fire breathing would be useful at a time like this, but how ugly that would look, and it would be distracting to his beauty. Such Kalona tactics were so overrated, and he would delicately wait until spring came, though his mind had its moments were he considered pouncing the stupid ice. Sighing, he walked forward, angry at nature for going against him. It was obviously jealous of his perfection.

AnimeChickie
User Image

Curled up in a pile of snow, the only thing that could distinguish him from the snow was his jet black hair. Zalifur had fallen asleep again after speaking with a few other soquili. His mane fell over his body and made it seem like he was encased by a black pod. The soquili's soft breaths could be heard, they were lucky he wasn't snoring or else he'd probably cause an earthquake or something of the such.

As Ariston stumbled forward, he noticed something weird looking up ahead. 'Ew, what is that!' He thought to himself, almost gagging. He couldn't tell what shape, form, or where the curled up creature came from.

Slowly approaching, Ariston debated whether he should even go near such a thing. He didn't want to dirty himself, of course. He flipped his hair out of the way and the empty space revealed to him a face, which was one he had not seen before. Holding his head up high, he rolled his eyes, saying, "Um, hello?" He couldn't decide if this was a waste of his precious time.

AnimeChickie
Oh my... Another soquili... Brushing off some snow that had fallen off of the tree onto him, Zalifur looked at Ariston behind his curtain of jet black hair, his two cerulean blue eyes looking at the kalona. "Hello." He said nothing more. Hm. This was the first soquili he had seen that had a longer mane. Interesting... Well... not really, but close enough.

Zalifur stood up so he could get some blood circulation to this legs. He glanced at the other soquili and began to walk around lazily, but most of the time, he just dragged his hooves along behind him. His mane and tail dragged behind him as he moved with a sort of clumsy elegance.

Ariston's eyes widened at the sight of what had slowly appeared in front of him. This fellow had extremely long hair too, though it was styled much differently. His coloring was completely different than Ariston's, and it was almost an opposite feel. "Hello as well, though I did not realize you were in such a state of napping.." Ariston could never imagine himself sleeping on the disgusting ground, the horror to his body!

Ariston continued to watch the slowly moving stallion, wondering what was up with him. "You hair is quite impressive and long.." In his mind he wondered if the stallion ever bathed. "My name is Ariston, by the way. What is yours?" His purple eyes could not stop staring at his hair, as if trying to uncover an impossible mystery.

AnimeChickie
Who... was this soquili? Zalifur couldn't help but think that as he heard the other soquili talk. The more Ariston talked, the more Zalifur needed to talk, and that was no good. Definitely no good... because that meant he wouldn't be able to sleep again.

"I'm always sleeping." Zalifur paused and stared at Ariston with blank eyes. The dark circles underneath his eyes were deceving. Usually that meant the lack of sleep, but that was something Zalifur was not lacking in. "Zalifur." The stallion didn't respond to the mane comment since he was too lazy to style or really do anything with his hair. His extremely long mane and tail was a result of his laziness, not the wanting of longer hair.

Zalifur looked at the other stallion again. They were both completely contrasting except for the fact that they were both white. But Zalifur had black hair, and Ariston had a fair colored mane and tail.

Sleeping? And, always sleeping? Ariston shook his head in dismay and stared at the stallion. "Isn't it a waste though, to always sleep? What if you miss out on something?" The idea in no way made sense to him. Ariston decided that he would sleep to the extent to keep his mind and body healthy, for that is when he looked best.

Zalifur? That was an interesting name, and it suited the lazy stallion. Ariston couldn't help but chuckle at his new find. "I have seen many things, though you are quite interesting to me." He flicked his tail and felt his smile turn sly. The pieces to this stallions puzzle were falling together, and Zalifur's appearance reasoning was starting to make sense.

"Hmph, its a shame, with hair that long, if you took care of it it could become something splendid." He shook his head to adjust his, and he felt to gallons of hair fall around him almost too perfectly. He could never imagine not caring about his appearance, what a crazy idea.

AnimeChickie
"D-Doubt I will." Zalifur yawned mid-sentence. He just couldn't help it when he yawned. It had become a habit now, and sometimes he really didn't even realize that he yawned. The stallion slept... out of laziness. Anything he could do to not get up and move around, he would do it. Even talking and breathing exerted too much of his precious energy.

Zalifur continued to walk around a few trees, but kept a wary eye on the kalona and listened to what he said. That took up much of his energy too, he would have a long... slumber later. "That's... nice to know..." Not really, but he didn't know what to say since he couldn't say he felt the same about the stallion.

"I would cut it if I wasn't so lazy." Zalifur shrugged slightly; he was getting tired. He returned to his spot from earlier and curled up on the ground again, still listening to the kalona.

"You'd be suprised.." He said, wondering how he could sleep all day and never drift into the relms of females. As he saw Zalifur's mouth widen like he was about to yawn, Ariston looked away, hoping to not do the same. He had never witnessed anyone with such a lack of energy.

Ariston chuckled at the complete laziness that the stallion possessed, and not only did his body act in such away, but his mind did nothing to try and stop it. Ariston was also acting pollite, though he wasn't sure why. Why should he waste his energy if the stallion did nothing of that sort for him.

Ariston felt his mouth drop as he saw the stallion fall onto the ground in the same spot, and the same position. 'What the..' he thought to himself. Something unacceptable to Ariston was the feeling of being unimportant, or ignored, especially to one who was lesser than him. "If I am wasting your time, you should have let me know that in the beginning. I also have had an exhausting day, but literally not because I am lazy.." He rolled his eyes and was confused on why he was even ranting. He sighed and leaned against a tree, exhaustedly.

AnimeChickie
At this point in time, Zalifur had no interest in mares or anything of the sort. Maye he was sometime in the past, but that definitely was not part of his life now. He didn't need a mare, that was the last thing he needed. All he wanted was sleep, and none of the desires for love.

Whoever this stallion was, Zalifur felt that he probably wasn't going to be leaving anytime soon. He sighed to himself and opened an eye to look at Ariston from behind his curtain of hair.

Zalifur didn't really care what others thought of him, and he was never really concerned with his own safety. Someday, he would rub the wrong soquili the wrong way and get hurt. But that someday was not now, so why bother with the future? "Whatever you want to t-think or say." He yawned in mid-sentence.

From first looking at Zalifur, one would think that he was somewhat a more evil aligned pet, because of his darker appearance. But once they met him, they would find that their assumptions were definitely wrong.

Ariston was not interested in any kind of love, at least from him to another. He was only interested in other's loving him. He was obviously appealing to females, and he always used such a thing to his advantage. He wondered what females would think of such a stallion, and he laughed to himself.

Ariston finally saw an eye open at him, and he frowned. "Oh how honored I am, that you did so much to open an eye to me. That must be the equivalent of me knocking over a tree." He scoffed, starting to feel himself fume. What was he accomplishing anyway from talking to a stallion especially, who was showing him no attention? He craved jealousy, and wasn't getting any here.

He lifted his eye brows, as the stallion sounded like he was going to say something, but then realized of course, that he was too lazy to finish. "I am glad I have the option of thinking or saying what I think.." He growled, sarcastically.

Ariston had never met a stallion who did not want to argue back at him, and he was starting to feel crazy.

AnimeChickie
What Ariston said almost made him smirk. Oh how silly this kalona was. "You should be honored." Zalifur would have said something a little more wordy if he felt like it. Maybe someday a soquili would actually get him to talk intellectually. But for the moment, he would stick to his short setences.

"Yep." Zalifur continued to look at him from behind his dark hair. With a wave of his tail, Zalifur beat back a fly that was about to land on him. "Oh, so troublesome..." He gave an audible sigh and continued to look at Ariston. Not that he was interested, just that he needed to watch out for those pesky flies.

If he felt like it, the stallion could have argued back but the key word there is if he felt like it. And obviously, that was a very rare event.

Tweekend
Ariston felt an evil smirk land on his face. "Oh goodness, how honored I am!" He circled the fool, and felt his purple eyes steam. There was no way that he was going to get ridiculed by such a waste. "Someone as remarkable as yourself is taking the effort to talk to lil' ol' me." He sneered his sharp teeth behind his back, slivering sarcasm into Zalifur's covered ears. It had been a long time since he properly used his Kalona genes, and lately they had been dying to come out.

His eyebrows curved at every lazy statement Zalifur made, and his muscle's ached to attack. Ariston hated doing such a thing, it was so disgusting to look at, and he always looked like such wreck after. Messing up his hair was never a good idea, it was too stressful to fix it after.

Ariston's body stood up as straight as it could be, with his wings flapping boldly at his sides. The veins in his eyes felt as though they were going to pop, but he held his steaming blood together.

"How does it feel, Zalifur.." He sneered his teeth, showing the perfect whiteness of each deahtly sharp blade. "...to be a complete waste to this world? Your lack of beauty brings down the harmony that this world posseses, and your tactics waste a perfectly good soul. Its pitiful, you fool." He flicked his hair, angrier than usual, not even caring if it was not perfectly next to him.

AnimeChickie
It wasn't like Zalifur really ever tried to anger anyone, he just did without knowing it. He could be considered somewhat naive or blindsighted since he was really never aware of any of his actions. That required too much energy that he didn't want to exert. "Yep." The stallion took no notice of Ariston's aparent frustration.

Looking at Ariston with both eyes now, he wanted to see what the stallion did next. This was rather interesting... not interesting enough for him to want to get up, but interesting enough for him to watch.

He wondered if the Kalona was trying to intimidate him or something... Zalifur yawned again. "I feel... absolutely fine." Zalifur blinked at him with expressionless eyes wondering if he was going to go away now.

Ariston stomped his foot, harder than when he usually pouted for something. He wasn't sure what was making him so angry at this point of the conversation, but he knew that it was ridiculous overall. A part of him felt like he was letting loose, and letting some of the rage from his previous horrible engagements come out on the stallion.

He thought for a second, and looked down at Zalifur, who was resting as always. Was being on the ground all the time sleeping..such a horrible thing? Of course it could never please his own personal lifestyle, but at the same time..how soothing that might feel.

Shaking his head quickly, he wanted to smack himself for even siding with such a weakling. Maybe Zalifur was hiding from something, maybe it was something from his past? Sniffling to his thoughts, Ariston chuckled, knowing it was none of those things. That would mean he had personality.

So, trying to think of the only thing that might make Ariston make a stand against the stallion... was that he stood in compelte silence, with no movement. His bright eyes had life in the shadows, but the rest of him remained as still as a statue.

Why? He still wasn't even sure.

AnimeChickie
It wasn't sure if Zalifur actually had a personality behind his laziness, or he was good or evil aligned. Nobody was really sure of anything. Did he have a conscious? Was he really weak or was did he really have fire within his heart? The stallion had never really faced anything that forced him to do anything, but Ariston might actually be the first... might.

Oh? This was something new. The stallion had shut up; maybe he could rest now. Closing his eyes, within minutes, Zalifur was fast asleep. Not a deep sleep, but sleeping nonetheless.

He wasn't quite sure how Ariston would react, but that didn't matter. Even a few minutes of sleep would definitely be worth it. He was just surprised that the stallion hadn't dispersed like that... Gwee mare did.

What Ariston had thought would happen indeed did, and the stallion was quickly back asleep. His first instinct was to kick him as hard as he could. The Kalona on his right shoulder told him to do so, though the Pride on his left told him to stop it. The Kalona could never override his Pride, and even Ariston was aware of this. Sighing, he kicked at the ground like a little child.

He wasn't sure what his next line of action should be. A part of him was puzzled, and wondered why he couldn't figure out this Soquili. Maybe it was literally nothing but a lazy fellow. The idea still puzzled and intriguied him, freaking him out as a overall result.

He had decided to step away from the stallion for now. There really was no other business here. Maybe in the future Ariston could figure out what the heck was up with him, but in the meantime, he wanted to walk away and not tear his throat out in the process. Though, his mind was crazed with so many questions, he obviously was not in the correct mood to continue on in this particular moment anyhow.

"Bye." He said, lightly, as he darted into the sky, using all of the rage into energy.

[PRP] Who Stands Taller? (Ariston and Desdemona)
Dec 26 06

((For Cherie and Tweek ))

User Image

Ariston's day had proved to be more eventful then usual. From getting in a fight with one, and from meeting many other Soquili, he was quite confused with the change in events. He wasn't a fan of any kind of drama, that is unless it involved someone being obsessed with him. He sighed and wandered off on his own, something that helped him enjoy absorbing his beauty.

He also hated the damage that the weather was doing to his golden locks. He knew that it would be alright, and that he still looked marvelous, but knowing that his hair was suffering pained him. He scoffed here and there, just pissed at everything.

Miss Cherie
User Image

There was something strange about the female. Something almost sinister, something feral. She was silent, quiet, watching the world through eyes the color of hellfire shot with gold. She did not fit into this place of smiles and flirtations, the tossing of manes more lovely than moonlight. It was foreign to her. Foreign, unknown... unwelcome. Desdemona had no use for such things. Soft hoof beats rang out along the snow covered deer trail. Flashes of orange, of red and gold showed through white blanketed trees, giving life to an otherwise deadened skyline.

She had not yet scented the male. If she had, she would not be moving so freely. The winter suited her mood. She enjoyed the thought that a good share of the wildlife in the area would die in its icy maw. It thrilled her, if she could claim to be thrilled by anything, that more of the creatures of this territory would find their deaths, and soon.

Ariston's ears suddenly twitched, feeling the faint sound of something moving. He wasn't acting as keen as usual, and he was allowing his neck to even slouch a bit for the sake of his energy. In the shadows of the forest, he was able to beautifully stand out in a golden but lazy haze. He sighed, wondering what could be in store for him now, especially since the air had changed into a different feeling.

Progressing forward, he stopped suddenly, seeing something bright approaching. He backed himself up, leaving more room on the simple trail. Whatever was coming towards him was a figure he had never seen before. His purple eyes rolled, and he lifted his head high in case it was a female. The scent told him that it was a female, but the air told him to stay away.

Miss Cherie

The branches rustled, giving Ariston warning that she approached. Desdemona's nostrils flared as she took in the scent of Kalona. Not quite a waste, perhaps... if he is true to the nature of his kind. She might not feel the need to kill or turn him, depending on what he meant to the world. Of course, that would not stop her from instantly despising him. Her kind had no love for any species, regardless of their "worth".

Her silver mane did not contrast so strongly with the snow as to give her away, but her pelt did. How unfortunate. It was as though somehow the snow had caught on fire, and the fire was moving towards Ariston. Padding her way through the underbrush, the mare came into view. Her head was raised proudly, fiercely. If he was a problem, she had no qualms with 'solving' him.

As Ariston's tired eyes caught sight of a brilliant arrangement of yellow to orange to red, he flicked his hair naturally, making sure to prepare for whatever was coming towards him. There was no reason to not look his best all the time, even if he was in a horrible mood. The faster the mare approached, the more confused Ariston felt. He was unaware of who this Soquili was, though from her actions he felt that she had a stunning presence.

The mare's expression showed no welcome, and Ariston decided to keep his mood, rather than try to impress someone with no intention of such a thing. He kept his frown, and rolled his eyes at such turn of events. Stretching his wings out to stay alert, he felt one hit a branch delicately, and he watched the snow ellegantly fall. He realized he looked bigger with his wings out, and they hid his slouchy back. He was finally ready for whatever was coming at him.

Miss Cherie

Was he displaying? Desdemona raised an eyebrow. "What do you here, stallion? Am I a threat?" she practically purred, tilting her chin up slightly. "Surely you do not fear me." A Kalona, posturing and posing, shying like an ordinary horse? No, surely not. There would be other reasons for his behavior, no doubt. Something burned in those golden eyes, and it was not hatred. No... there was no need to express what was so much a part of her being, her very soul. There were other things, more intriguing things to ponder.

"And you're waiting for me, the very soul of courtesy. Really, I must thank you for your formality, but I assure you that it is... unnecessary." It was her way to speak so, to throw those who met her off balance. Her scent spoke of danger. Her voice, while feral at its base, did not. She enjoyed the indecision it caused. An indecision that had occasionally proven fatal. But he was of the demons, so he need not fear her. Assuming he was true to his kind.

'Ah, she spoke..' he thought to himself, as the mysterious female had finally revealed herself. Although there was something dark about her, she was acting nothing like most Kalona mares. Ariston had had his share of dealing with Kalona mares, especially for their extremely violent natures. "No, you are not a threat.." He sighed, being asked that question soooo many times, for some reason by mares more than stallions. "I was just interested to see who was approaching me. I have not seen your face in these parts before, what a shame for me." He smiled at her, but not in his usual perverted manner. Those things would probably result in him being bucked, especially by this one.

"Unneccessary?" He chuckled, holding his composure. "Trust me, I am usually pretty honest on what is neccessary or not." With that he flicked his hair again, feeling it fall around him. His usual self would have either been trying to swoon the mare, or retreating for the sake of his bum getting kicked. With her however, he felt it was an interesting challenge. The challenge was not to sway, no no, it was a challenge of strength, but in a different way. He was holding his tongue almost constantly, only to see if he could truly handle her.

Miss Cherie

So he wanted a challenge, did he? Of course, this begged the question of whether she was a challenge he could truly handle. Probably not. Something wicked glinted in her fiery gaze. Something more wicked than her scent, her presence suggested. "Honesty may get you far, but it is not all that there is to be had in the world, nor does it replace wisdom or knowledge. If you do not know something, you cannot prepare for it. And honestly, stranger," -and she used the word in a rather sardonic way-"this formality is most unnecessary."

She smiled, and it was not a pretty smile. Not the sort designed to attract stallions. Had she the needs of other mares, she might well have attempted to win Ariston, but she did not. Her needs were varied, and different. Diverse. Certainly not at all similar to those which females generally claimed for their own. "A shame? Truly, you cannot know of shame if you think that missing my face is shameful." She curved her neck, watching him from beneath a lock the color of liquid silver, rooted with lilac. A very odd mare indeed.

"Well excuse me, then." He said, scoffing. He had wasted plenty of his wonderful time trying to be formal to these mares, and none of them enjoyed it! "So, would it be better if I were not natural to myself? There is a difference between me being honest and me being natural." He slyly winked at her. Because of her harsh reaction, he realized that he needed not to put in the slightest effort that he usually did. Maybe his Kalona genes would help him out in this situation..it was worth a test shot. He was pissy and bored, anyhow.

"You are correct, I do not know what real shame is." He chuckled, 'man how spicy' he thought to himself. First she was judging his actions, and now his words? What could he do right? Obviously nothing. "I don't possess shame, I posses perfection, pride, glamour. Forgive me, but, " He growled, "Is that wrong by your standards, as well?" His purely white teeth were beginning to glimmer under his lip.

Miss Cherie

"Perfection? Truly. How fascinating," she drawled, arching her neck and quirking her lips in a profoundly amused way. She was verbally circling him like a hawk, or a shark, intent on some goal that was not immediately obvious. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, fair Narcissus. Tell me, what makes your so perfect? So beautiful to look upon?" For that was what he claimed. "Is it your hair? Hair that would not doubt get caught on thorns and the branches of trees. I can see no benefit to it but that it would be warming." This weather was, after all, cold.

Yet, he was correct. Many doubtless viewed him as perfection itself. Unfortunately, Desdemona had an entirely different standard by which she judged. "Pride is a sin... but sin has always been more appealing than virtue." Of course. "And what other sins do you possess, oh stallion?" She tossed her head, allowing her mane to settle itself into an almost military line. It was beautiful, that much was true... but it held a coldness that Ariston's did not. He spoke of beauty and self indulgence. She spoke of another thing altogether.

"I am glad you are enjoying the idea of perfection, though your opinion matters nothing to me." He eyed her, feeling his body heat sizzle. "So since you are so brilliant, what do you know of perfection then? I am perfect not only in sight, but also in breed, skill, and with treating a woman." He chuckled, wanting to continue. "Though, you do not seem as if you are familiar with such a subject."

But there was one thing that the cruel mare did bring up, and that was HIS hair. "I am sorry you were not born blonde, darling." He said, sneering his teeth, "But your little locks looks like it gives you the same problems as well." The Kalona in his veins wanted him to snap at this weakling, though he was impressed with how she manuvered her words. Lifting his head again, he shook it lightly, feeling that his beautiful goldmine was still there. "My hair is who I am, and like I said, you are just going to have to get over what I am."

Sin. Now that was a sketchy subject. "Many lable Pride as a Sin. To this day I still don't know why. How can loving oneself be a Sin? It isn't a matter of just loving oneself," He paused, glaring at her. "You should look at yourself, you carry pride around as if it were stuck in your hair. And you challenge me to such a thing?" The mare was tough, though what she was rebelling against wasn't going to work on Ariston, not this time. He continued to chuckle at the pride the mare carried herself.

Miss Cherie

"Oh, is it pride you think you see in me?" The wickedness flashed in her eyes, filling them entirely. "My poor little bird, you have broken your wing in your attempts to fly." Desdemona grinned devilishly, revealing teeth not so dissimilar to a Kalona's. There were odd shadows, it seemed... shadows which made her skin seem to ripple in strange and hitherto unseen ways. "Is that what you think of me, son of the demon raven? That it is pride that you see here? Look harder, stallion."

And in the depths of her eyes was an evil most foul. He could die, and she would be pleased with it... because another death would mean one less creature to riddle the world with weakness. But she did not wish for his death now. No, that would be wasteful, and now was not a time to waste what one had on hand (or hoof). "Your mane is quite beautiful, that much is true. But you must admit that it is far more luxurious than mine, and thus it is more likely to tangle. No doubt you guard it jealously."

Was he, perhaps, a bit irritated? Had she put his back up? How delightful. She enjoyed the show of strength. It told her that he was not useless. Another stepping stone into the future that she desired. Perfect. "How do you define sin? Do you feel sin to be... reprehensible? I do not. Sin only means that something is against the morals of a society, and I do not value morality highly." No, she had other interests. Other things of worth.

"But I am not under what you are, so I cannot get over it." A quip, designed to either amuse him or infuriate him... and the distinction was not quite so clear as it had been with her previous comments. Another smile revealed the curve of a canine, most wickedly sharp. A feature shared between their kinds. How charming. A pity she had no place for charm.

"To tell you the truth, I don't know what I see in you. I don't know what you are hiding, or what you want me to see." His purple eyes looked at her, more serious then before. "I don't know what you would expect of such a lowlife as myself. Being a sin, it is what one should expect." He scoffed at her, kicking his leg into a tree angryly. "Why should I waste my time trying to figure out a mare who carries evil beyond words?"

"Tangle isn't in my vocabulary." He said, with the same confidence he always possessed. His ears were twitching with every comment she made about his hair, and his insides felt like they were going to explode. "But I am glad you see the comparison at least."

He thought for a second before answering her, and narrowed his view on her eyes only. He had gotten himself into a mess, indeed it was quite a mess. "It is obvious that there is nothing wrong with sin. It is actually an honor to know that I and seven others are creating such fine specimans of society." He chuckled, but agreed with that part. There was nothing wrong with his sin, at least. "Life is dull as it is, and if I am not creating others who posses a sense of vanity, then it is better to crush those who fail at obtaining it." He was suprised by his words, only because he had never said them so boldly.

Through her devious smile, he was confused by what he saw. 'Sharp.. teeth.' He thought, as the crazy female got.. more crazy on him. 'WHAT IS MY LUCK TODAY' he thought to himself. This female though, was not one to laugh about.

"Why do I feel that I am doing all of the talking?" He asked, with a harsh grin. "Its not that I don't mind but, I am interested in what you have to say as well, especially on sin."

Miss Cherie

"Do you truly see yourself as a lowlife? I cannot believe it. The pride which you claim to have would suggest otherwise." No, it was far more likely that he considered himself to be the pink of the ton... the cream of the crop. The best of the best. Desdemona did not believe for a moment that he was serious in that regard. "I think that that is a question you should ask yourself. Why do you waste your time trying to figure me out?"

Why would someone who saw himself as the most beautiful being in existence wish to figure out a mare who found him without the appeal most would see in him? Perhaps he wished to win her into his worship. Probably not. It was a futile exercise, and whatever else he was, she didn't think him stupid. Foolish, maybe, but not stupid.

"I am not blind to my appearance. It is as it is, and so it will remain." Nor was she caught up in it. That she resembled hellfire itself was only of faint interest to her. Her appearance alone would not bring about her wishes, and she did not find it a useful angle to pursue. "Life is wasted on many who do not deserve its embrace. Death is a much more fitting state for the majority of the population." She allowed a hint of her beliefs to show through, but only a hint. "Does it surprise you that you feel so strongly?"

"Perhaps you enjoy hearing your own voice," she suggested almost mildly. "I can't imagine why you might find my insights to be interesting... when you are Sin itself. That is what you are, is it not? You hold yourself as though you are Pride. Also, your earlier reference to the numbers of your fellows suggests that you believe that you are what I have said. Why listen to another voice when you clearly find your own to be so enticing?" Another reference to Narcissus, but only an indirect one.

"What can I say to you that you will find as intriguing as your own words, your own views?" She arched her neck again, pawing at the snow. "Sin is what it is. One man's poison is another man's cure. No doubt you enjoy it. I can see that you do. Sin is one form of behavior, virtue is another. Little separates them but the ideas of Soquili." Views, ideologies. Trains of thought. Things that Desdemona had very little use for.

All Ariston felt at this moment was a headache. The low-life act obviously wasn't something that she would buy, he felt dumb for even trying it. At this point though, he had no way of slinking around her words. "You are intriguing, so I thought it would be alright to see what you are. At this point, it is doing nothing but driving me insane. I hope that was your main goal, congratulations if it was."

His hair felt heavy on his pulsing head, and he was beginning to growl from it. "Fine, this is how I see it. I came in here with a challenege I thought I could take. Don't get me wrong missy, I stomp you in many different ways, though, especially beauty wise.." He sighed, just wanting her to stop playing with his mind. "Death?" He heard her say. That was something a little harsh for him. He enjoyed playing with the minds of others, but she obviously was at a higher level with this sort of thing. "I don't use such tactics. In your eyes, that must be weak, then?"

"Of course I enjoy hearing my own voice," he snapped. "But everytime I say someting, you pick at it like a piece of meat. You pick and pick and pick until there are flies also helping you destroy it." His eyes were starting to get red in veins, and the air coming out of his nose felt hotter than before.

"Thank you for giving me all of this insight," He said, colder than before, "But what is YOUR problem. Seriously, I can see that your way of doing things is a way of attack, which by the way is impressive. If I could applaud you I would," He raised an eyebrow. "But you have reached a point where I can't even listen to you anymore. I asked you about yourself because what I say obviously has no meaning ANYWAYS." He realized he was yelling, but didn't care anymore. Why should he have manners for the crazy abomonination anyways.

He put his head down, blocking whatever else she was saying for that moment. He didn't believe in the inner-peace whatever, but he felt better knowing she wasn't tearing apart his mind.

((Applauds Desde O__O Has Ariston fallen? Maybe tomorrow I will be better XD I need to work on ebilness >c rawr))

Miss Cherie

"Better... better, much better," Desdemona purred almost approvingly. "I cannot imagine that you would want to see what I am. I am not something that you would enjoy, I think... and I think that you are seeing that now." She enjoyed seeing how fierce he could get. How furious. How frustrated. It gave her the tiniest bit of hope that he had potential. Potential to be the destructive agent she was certain he could be.

She tilted her head to the side, giving him a sidelong glance. "It is unwise to take on challenges that you are not familiar with. Why do you bother with me, stallion?" Did it trouble him that she was not as predictable as the mares she so resembled? Timid, docile things. Creatures that she could hold no kinship with. "To each his own... or her own, as the case may be. I am fully comfortable with my tactics. Are you?"

Was he prepared to be all that he could be? Could he stomach that? Could he wrap his mind around the essence of what made him what he was? "If your words had no meaning, then I would not respond to them, now would I? Or do you think that I speak with you for my own amusement?" It was possible, actually. Highly probable, even.

"If you wish to know about me, you must ask more specific questions. I may even answer them. If, that is, you ask them." Of course, given his current state and mood, she doubted that he would. If he did not listen to her, it was no real loss. He was one of many. One in a crowd. That he was more beautiful than the average stallion was not particularly important to her. All that it influenced was his pride. And pride, it seemed, was one thing she could forgive.

((Hehe. Well, give it some time. I'm sure he'll improve as he goes along.))

He felt his eyes drain with a constant glare at her, and his ears stood sharply behind him. His body had changed from its usual composure, and he was slouching, and acting in such a menacing way that it almost felt unnatural to him. He know it was wrong, though, to always ignore such feelings of hate and disgust. He put aside his Kalona rage into the back of his head for reasons he did not even know, but the mare had sucked them out, making them overpower his little brain.

"There is nothing that I enjoy from you, I think we have established that already." He said, feeling bolder and more confident with his tongue. He was starting to bend at his frustration, and save it to his own advantage. "Heh, it appears that that is a lesson that I have learned now." He wacked his tail towards a small bush, feeling the branches shatter off it. "I do not think it is wrong for you not to be comfortable, they are your own tactics, and define what and who you are." He wondered at her question, and answered, "Of course." feeling his mouth twist with an awful smile.

"How can I not believe that this is all for your own amusement? I think you made hints of that very clear, at least for my ears." He naturally had one of his twitch, feeling sorry for what his ears had been through. "You are only responding to them because this is fun for you. It is obvious that through your cruel ways, you are able to learn what you want, and hear what you want. I am sick of doing such things for you." He felt his chin rise, wondering why he hadn't stuck up for himself before. Just because she was harsh to him, did not mean he couldn't handle it. He had encountered many Kalona mares with blood on the tips of their mouths, and although her ways were intimidating in a different way, he knew it was nothing he couldn't survive.

He wondered for a second what she wanted to accomplish from such a statement. Anything he said would most likely come flying at him painfully, so he wanted to collect his words. The most simple of words seemed fit, though he was still cautious. At this point, he felt he had handled everything enough. "What the hell are you?" Is all that came out of his glimmering lips. His muscles had ached from standing so still, that he felt his body shake at the sudden feel of the wind. "What do you want from me?"

Miss Cherie

"If you do not enjoy it, why do you stay? Why not leave, stallion, and spare yourself the 'cruelty' of my words... my company?" Desdemona moved so that the pelt on her back became more evident... more obvious. "I speak with you as I do not for my own amusement but because it is my way. It is what I know. I have no other manner of speaking. Kindness is alien to me. Were I to find something pleasant to say, it would wither on my lips."

She watched him destroy little bits of the forest, and that pleased her. Destruction pleased her. "Would you like to know what is fun for me? The taste of blood. The snap and crush of bones, and the screams of the dying. That is fun for me." Something wild, and truly iniquitous shone in her eyes. "This exchange of words is not that. It is nothing that I can taste, nothing that I can touch. Nothing so much as a greeting."

"You are unique, stallion of the Kalona. You will not back down because to do so would be to admit defeat, to show humility... and I do not believe that a being so full of Pride could bend and twist himself that way. Please, disprove my theory. Go ahead. I am certain that you will enjoy yourself much more if you are elsewhere. It is not for me to cause any being to feel delight."

She paced, her silver mane lost in a pelt the same color, her tail taking the form of another animal's. "I am a skinwalker, son of the raven... and I want nothing from you so much as to see this strength which you display. Show me that you are not weak, and my desire for your destruction will not be so strong." She smiled, the curved, sharp canines showing themselves once more. "But I do not think you are here to show me anything now. Perhaps it is yourself that you must teach."

"I am not asking for kindness." He snapped at her, knowing it was a foolish thing to even consider from the mare. He was past such thoughts, knowing she was offering nothing else but cruel thoughts and words. "I don't know why I stay, maybe I should leave. But like I have mentioned, where would that leave me? I may have the opportunity to fly away unharmed, but you will still remain the mystery that you are to me now, then." He knew it was probably a waste to keep scoping in to who and what she was, but he couldn't help being curious.

Her eyes frightened him a bit, and he realized she really did love those things. He was wrong for even comparing her to a Kalona mare, for she was much more than he could handle. "I see, and am not suprised. In this life there are many positions that need such creatures, especially that enjoy bloodshed. I used to think I was unable to do so, but I am not ashamed of such Kalona traits." His eyes looked sad, but he tried to hide it. Although he showed kindness, others expected him to not enjoy the taste of blood and flesh, when it was always his favorite, and he needed it. He had to do such things in private, and with his pure white body, he would have to wash the bloodstain out many a times.

He was shocked, though was aware of her as a mare of strength. He bowed down to her lightly, some of him wanting to not believe her, and the other half enjoying her comment. "It was hard, to of course understand you in the beginning. I thought I had to act my stupid self, though I thank you for letting me act my way for once." He locked eyes on her, but lightened his glare. "I know you possess no kindness, but I do not feel it was a waste I have met you. You have taught me some things I should rethink.." He scoffed at himself, knowing it was always confusing in his head.

The mystery was finally solved, and his eyes dropped at her comment. One thing he had never wanted to do, was run into a skinwalker. At her lips moving, he couldn't believe he was still alive. "I am impressed, Miss Skinwalker. Never have I run into one, and you possess such strength that I can never be the same match.." He never said such things to anybody, though in this case it wasn't a compliment for him; it was the truth. She had almost ripped him apart this entire time, but in a different way. Ariston's clouded brain was unable to find itself at times, and Desdemona was sneaking in through their discussions.

"Aye, it is.." His eyes looked away, knowing she was right. His Pride was perfect, and would never leave him. It was his greatest treasure, and his biggest strength. Though, he knew he possessed more strength, but he never went out of his way to teach himself and use it. "There are many things that I must learn."

Miss Cherie

"The impulse is difficult to resist. Killing is in my blood, and it calls to me. Destruction begs for a renewal. Perhaps I should leave you to your musings, stallion... that you remain able to muse." Desdemona could hear the call of the hunt, feel the sweet pleasure of his flesh in her mouth, between her teeth... and taste his blood. That told her that she should leave if she did not desire to kill him. It would be a waste, and while she did dearly love destruction, wastefulness would not help her to achieve her goals. "You would taste sweet, stallion... and the hunter in me desires to discover that. I think it best that we part ways now. We may meet again sometime, but I trust that you will be better prepared."

"It is in every demon to take life, and to want that self same thing. We of Hell do not wander far from our roots. Remember that, Kalona. You cannot entirely escape what you are. I think you know now that that is true." Her gaze slid over him, and there was a hunger in her eyes. Not the sort of hunger he would wish of any mare. "And remember also... I am not the least of my brethern. I have not shown you any strength but strength of mind. Do not think to tempt me into such a display... for it would not go well for you. It is simply fact, no insult."

She padded slightly away from him, glancing over her shoulder, strength in every line of her. "Be intelligent, stallion. I know that you are capable of it. Do not cross paths with any of my kind, if you can avoid it. I warn you because I may not possess the willpower to resist the call of the hunt if I see you again... but I may possess it. It all depends on the manner in which we meet." For example, were she in coyote form, there would be no resisting it. Were he weak, she would not be able to back down from her needs. But she thought that he would try to be strong. She had seen something in him, and she expected that he would pursue that thing.

"Learn what you can. Do what you must to be true to your nature, to the nature of your blood." Blood which surely must taste of the sweet, sweet coppery tang that she so relished. The rich taste of life. Life, her nectar, her ambrosia. Her addiction. "Learn, and live. Learn, and thrive." If he chose to set aside his heritage, he would be putting himself at great risk. She did not think he cared to risk that. The wildness shown in her eyes, catching fire like lightning on a tree. The madness welled up, and it was all she could do to keep from attacking him then and there. "Where I go, I must not be followed." Not if he wished to continue his reign over the mares.

Every word, breath, and expression Desde gave to him stayed in his mind, and he stood there, motionless, as she made her way away from him. There was nothing he could do except fall onto a tree, for his body and mind were completely exhausted. Despite the fact that his mind felt like rushing water, he ignored it for the moment, and could only stand there, breathing heavily.

The sweat finally appeared, and it dripped off his forhead and back, making him queezy. He never did such disgusting bodily things, but he allowed himself such horrid pleasures this once. He always held his body back, but in this moment, his body and mind were completely disconnected.

For the rest of the evening, he sat there, dazed and disconnected from himself.

[PRP] The Same, Yet Opposite (Ariston and Windflame)
Dec 27 06

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Frankly, with the coming of so many arrivals of new Soquili, he was getting tired of encountering random ones that always somehow strayed into his path. He was slowly giving up his quest to look for the one mare he had hoped to find, and was beginning to realize that mayhap she never really existed after all. He sighed, accepting that he was doomed to remain with the curse of his blood for years to come.

Graceful, calculated steps moved smoothly across the ground of the darkening woods as his sharp ruby eyes glittered dangerously while scanning his surroundings. Hopefully, he was alone... he scented the smell of water a bit ahead, and made for the area. He was thirsty from the constant traveling, and needed a place to rest for the night. Maybe there was a lake up ahead with a safe cavern or clearing somewhere...

Finally have a refreshing moment to himself, Ariston had saved himself from the worthless drama of others. Lately, there had been so many quarrels lately, he wondered if it was the time of year or the weather change. Of course, he would never admit that maybe it was just him. Flicking his tail up in the air, he loved the feeling of it falling down, like a thrashing waterfall. He chuckled at his own amusement.

He had spent enough time enjoying himself that he was off, off to somewhere to do something. Whatever something he was thinking about didn't actually exist, but it was an excuse to wander. Thinking wasn't his thing, anyhow. Deciding to strut forward, he poked his shoulders out, and went for a relaxing but beautiful walk.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Deciding his horns needed sharpening--they were getting dull from not being used in an overly long period--he continued along his purpose-filled path, having lost interest in his surroundings after making sure he was actually alone this time. He was weary of the whirling emotions that constantly battered at him, and was weary of his uncontrolled bloodlust. He had nearly killed another mare again. He wasn't the type of Kalona that loved to attack the weak and helpless, no matter if they fought back or not.

Kalona were notorious for their strength and will, their fighting spirit as well as their pride. He hadn't meant to do that, but he had found satisfaction later on by finding a few rabbits to eat in privacy. His bloodlust controlled, he was back to himself, although now he worried about attacking any friends... no, not friends, allies, if he failed to appease his meat-want. Sighing mentally, his eyes began to rove around as he searched for an opening that would lead him to that lake he had smelled earlier. Now, which direction was the scent coming from?

Tweekend
Ariston's ears seemed to be the only body part that was actually paying attention, but he could have sworn he heard the sounds of hooves. The sound was louder than usual, which meant it wasn't a female. 'Great, just what I want.' He thought to himself. Lately he had been running into too many stallions, and that was not something he ever enjoyed. He continued on his path, pouty at the current finding.

The sound of hooves consistently got louder, but yet he was not finding anything. 'Maybe he thinks I am chasing him?' Ariston's lip curled, knowing that he was the more manlier one anyways. At least the stallion knew he had no chance against him. Of course he would never admit that they were just in opposite areas. The maze of finding the noise had interested him, and he wanted to reveal where the thumps were coming from.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Windflame narrowed his eyes as the distant sound of hooves came to his ears. What? He was alone! This wasn't possible! He had made sure he was alone; there was just no possible way that he could not be by himself, and yet the sound of hooves shattered that illusion. Frowning, he headed toward the sound, ready to scare off the other Soquili so that he could be by himself. Although he usually tried not to be intimidating, this time around, he was in the mood and would gladly do so to drive away the intruder.

No one was going to get in his way once he had his mind set; not even other Kalona.

Ariston came to a complete stop, especially when he realized his head was facing the opposite direction from his body. He was.. staring at himself! A wonderful lake front had appeared in front of him, and perfect timing! He felt a bit sweaty from all of this moving, and from turning his head back and forth he noticed his hair was absolutely perfect. 'Thank goodness!' he thought, dreading a bad hair day. There was no such thing in Ariston's world.

At this point, he wasn't paying attention to anything except himself. He posed every few seconds, and was dazzled by how splendid he was. Stupid he was, not paying attention at all, especially with the sound of hooves coming towards him!

((Oh goodness, why do I feel I am getting revenge on him >3 XDDD ))

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Windflame soon arrived at the lake he had scented earlier, spotting a white, blond, prissy Kalona. And he thought he had long hair! But unlike that Kalona, who was obviously very proud of his looks--for the stallion continuously posed every few minutes--he wanted to curl a lip of scorn as he watched for a moment before he smoothly moved a few feet away from the stallion, bending down to take a refreshing drink to quench his mounting thirst.

Out of the corner of his eye, the stallion appeared to enjoy looking at himself, which made him want to shake his head and roll his eyes in exasperation. Who knew there were those kinds of personality that were a part of the blood of his kin? Certainly not him, for this stallion had a very strong ego; moreso than the usual Kalona Soquili, who, of course, were a very proud race... just not with looks. Their strength and their intimidation, of course, but not looks.

Turning ever so abnoxiously, Ariston eyed the supposedly loud hoofs that were next to him. "Oh, a Kalona.." he said out loud, as if it was nothing. He looked at the spectacle next to him, confused where he had come from. He was a Kalona he had never seen before. Something suprised him the most though. Most Kalona stallions would not even walk next to Ariston, nevertheless not kill him in the first few seconds of spotting. This one was minding his own bussiness, and enjoying a drink all to himself.

"And who might you be, if I may ask so." He said, turning his body to where he actually looked normal to the Kalona. He felt himself gasp as he finally noticed the lucious mane. "You have such long hair! And I thought I was the only Kalona with such a thing." He chuckled to him, letting some innocence fall out of his purple eyes for now.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Windflame straightened from getting his fill of water to get a much better look at the white and blond Kalona before him. He had tried his best to ignore this Kalona, but because he knew the stallion would probably question him later as to why he didn't attack him or made insults, he sighed to himself. "Windflame Bloodrider ist this one's name," he said, nodding sagely. "And thou? Thy name ist...?"

The evident surprise at his mane was followed by his blood-red eyes scanning the other stallion, and he clucked his tongue inside his mouth. "This one thought so as well, though thou have the look of being in these lands far longer than this one." He shifted to look into the lake, seeing the reflection of the trees all around them. He wouldn't let his guard down, even if the other stallion in front of him didn't seem threatening... at least, for now.

Ariston's first reaction was that of surprise, and he held his tongue but really wanted to say 'Wow this guy talks funny.' "My name is Ariston.." He said, letting his purple eyes look at the stallion freely. The Kalona's name sounded strong, and he was curious to many questions about him. That was something that depended on how long Ariston's mind would last, especially towards a stallion.

Ariston's small brain was slowly taking in his words, but after a few seconds he was able to understand them. "Yes, I have been around or awhile I guess.." He chuckled, feeling sort of old. "I was going to say, I don't think I have seen you in these parts before. " He still was feeling uneasy as to why the Kalona hadn't attacked him already for something, so he was utterly confused. Though alas, he was happy nevertheless, only because he usually could never talk to other Kalonas.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
He tilted his head in the usual style he used to bow and acknowledge all others he came in contact with. "A pleasure to meet thee, Sir Ariston," Windflame addressed solemnly. He turned away from looking into the lake's reflections to look toward Ariston. If a horse could, he would have cocked an eyebrow, but as such, he didn't have eyebrows, and all he did was twitch an ear to show he was even listening at all.

"That is because this one has recently come to these lands," he explained, seeing that Ariston was confused, causing him to smirk slightly. He didn't particularly enjoy causing confusion, but the stallion in front of him was amusing; the poor male was probably wondering why he hadn't yet been attacked. Windflame had been wondering that himself but judging from the way Ariston spoke it was obvious.

It seemed he wasn't the only one with a soft temper, although he figured that, like himself, Ariston probably did have his ill-tempered moments.

"It is a pleasure to meet you as well." He said, nodding carefully. "It is not often that I run into such a pollite Kalona." Ariston thought he was the only Kalona stallion who would give others the time of day, but it seemed Windflame also used such methods. Him explaining that he was new to the land made more sense for Ariston, and he was sure if Windflame was here sooner, they would have run into each other.

"Are you enjoying it here?" Of course he wasn't sure where the Kalona was from and how different the Soquili land was, but it was a pollite question to ask. He also wondered one other thing. Windflame looked like he could handle himself in a fight, easily perhaps. But the way he treated Ariston made him wonder how he treated other Kalonas.

"Have you run into any other Kalonas? You might see that they are.. quite different." He chuckled, letting his hair swing from the movement of his body.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
He tilted his head as he contemplated Ariston's question. "No, 'tis not often at all," he agreed, "for this one has yet to have encountered any other by mine self as a polite Kalona." He shrugged a wing as he answered the other's question. "This one finds this place enjoyable, and yet, in some ways, irritable. This one has yet to discover anything special... though many, many Soquili roam these lands. It almost feels too crowded."

A dark smirk appeared on Windflame's muzzle at Ariston's last statement. "Aye, this one hath met other Kalona," he said, his already blood-red eyes darkening to a deep, evil red. "They are incompetent imbeciles who do not know how to control themselves. Weak. Very weak." After speaking, his eye color returned to the bright, blood-red they were before, but more cold and emotionless than ever. He frowned at the thought of the other Kalona, and then shook his head.

Ariston nodded to him, understanding the irritable part. "Aye, there are quite a lot of Soquili here. I enjoy that, though hate all of the drama." He sighed, realizing the awful few days he had so far. Lately, the drama seemed to be pouring out from all angles.

The stallion's reaction picked at Ariston the most, especially because he acted the exact way as well. "I think you described them perfectly, well from my standpoint as well." He chuckled to the stallion, smiling at him. "I believe that they are weak too, and overall just imbeciles. I don't incorporate myself with them." Its not like Ariston incorporated himself with anybody anyways, though he truly disliked other Kalonas. "The mares are especially hard to deal with." He sighed at the thought of all of them wanting to kill him. "There is such a lack of patience, it is most ugly." He flipped his hair at the thought.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Mentally, Windflame was amazed that there was another Kalona that held the same views as him, though more than likely in a different perspective, so to speak. Ariston held his physical appearance in high regard, whilst Windflame relied on his inner strength. They were the same, yet opposites. He wondered how that came to be, and yet, he found it very agreeable. He despised all other Kalona, and the mares? He had yet to figure them out.

"Thou hath a strange of describing it, but this one agrees with everything thou speakth of whole-heartedly," Windflame said, chuckling along with the stallion, but stopping short because his ear had twitched at an odd sound. He straightened and looked around, wondering what the noise was, only to find a small bird dash out of the trees and fly off into the sky. He shrugged, inwardly glad it had only been a mere bird.

It was interesting to Ariston to watch Windflame react to a sound. Ariston hadn't even noticed the bird, for his mind tended to block such things out. If it was focused on something, he was unable to use it elsewhere. It was his own way of handling things, so to say. "Heh, you have some strong senses there." He looked at the Kalona again, and found his eyes lock onto his hair again. "Do you find it hard keeping such long hair? I don't mind mine." Inside he gleeed at his beautiful hair, and felt his body flick it to the reaction.

Realizing he wanted to know more about the Kalona, Ariston looked at him now, softening his eyes as well. "So, I haven't heard you mention much about mares, are you one who enjoys their company?" His lip curled at his last word, and he was interested to know the stallions reaction. It was pretty obvious how Ariston felt on such a subject.

[PRP] Who's There? (Heartless and Ariston)
Dec 27th 06

AnimeChickie
User Image

An audible sigh could be heard to anybody that was near her, but where exactly was she? Hiding in the darkness behind a tree, Heartless was almost invisible. Her long braid cascaded down her shoulder as she watched with observing, silent eyes. The kalona said nothing and did nothing. She just watched. Heartless wasn't exactly a very conversational type of soquili, or more like, she didn't know what to say. She always seemed secluded and silent, nobody knew what she was like, because nobody ever stuck around long enough. But of course, why should she care?

((Everytime I see Heartless I faint ;;oo;; XD <33 ))

Soaring through the sky, Ariston felt like a million bucks. He didn't even know what a million bucks was, but he knew it was a good thing. He dramactically turned here and there, flying over his usual area where many of the females gossiped. After hearing many 'Ooooos and Aaaas' he knew his work was done. "Oh what a productive day.." He thought to himself, for in Ariston's mind one thing at a time was productive.

He landed almost too perfectly in the trees, and avoided the many branches around him. He didn't want to walk away with any nasty scars. He stuck his chest out naturally, and calmed himself in the cool of the trees. Here he could hide from any unwanted eyes, even though he never wanted that.

AnimeChickie
Raising a brow, Heartless noticed the kalona that landed in the distance. She herself did not like to... fly. It was too weird to be up in the air without the stability of the ground underneath her. So sometimes she forgot she even had these wings. But they were good to use as intimidation items for the other soquili that inhabited the area.

But she gazed at the white kalona with interest. Hm. White... kalona? Now that was a new one. Heartless was very interested... very interested... But for now, she stood as still as a statue as she watched to see how he reacted. Only her golden eyes were visible from the darkness, which looked a tad... creepy.

Ariston had many special abilities that other stallions failed to recognize, or that were to lazy to recognize. He demanded perfection from himself at all times. One skill he had, was being able to know a female was around at a doable distance. He sensed something that was not familiar to him, so he raised his awareness to what was around him.

Shuffling his feet back a few paces, he turned almost in a complete circle, looking at everything around him. He spotted something, but then realized it was nothing. Hearing a crunch of a leaf, he turned over to the side to see a dark shadow hiding by a tree. The one thing he could see from it, was it's glowy eyes. 'Hello?" He said, sort of spooked out.

AnimeChickie
((-reads- ...Too lazy. xD))

He was so.. bright. Heartless almost needed to squint to look at him properly. She never ventured out into the open sunlight. She was always either seen at night or in the shadows deep within the forest. The kalona was almost surprised that he had spotted her since most soquili missed the two glowing eyes that stared out at them, yearning for their hearts. It was unsure of whether Heartless lived up to her namesake or not. It was either that she didn't have a heart all together or that it was buried very... very deep.

The mare could sort of sense that Ariston had a big heart, a heart for what, she did not know. All she knew was that he definitely had more of a heart then she did. "Hello." She did not reveal herself yet, but she wanted to see if he said anything more or if he would just go away pretending that he didn't see her.

(( >D *chomps* ))

"So my eyes do not deceive me? There is indeed a lovely Kalona hiding behind a tree!" His instincts were almost... too creepy at times, but he could easily see the tip of the tail of the mare, and guess that she was a Kalona. He approached just a tad further, but left her enough space. He did not want her to run away on him, so he took it slow.

He did though, take a deep breath in. This was the first Kalona mare in a long time who had not tried to kill him in the first two seconds of spotting. "May I ask you your name?" His purple eyes were eager to see who was hiding behind a tree, and her mysterious ways brought his curiosity out. That was definitely something that was rare. He just couldn't get over that someone from his own species did not want him torn apart that quickly.

AnimeChickie
Oh. He was smart too... Heartless was intrigued by this stallion. The kalona mare took a step back as he approached her, deeper into the darkness. She had no interest in getting any closer, until...

Heartless was not aware of much going on in the area. Again, she was very isolated and secluded, not that she wanted to socialize with others. She just spoke to the very few soquili she happened to run into. The soquili she liked to tormet were a different story.

Heartless spoke softly as she looked at the white kalona. "Heartless." She had a sort of mysterious aura about her and her voice, it was difficult to place a finger on what her tone exactly was. It wasn't menacing, but it wasn't welcoming either. "And you are?"

He sighed. "I must be scary, then?" He chuckled, wishing she would feel more comfortable. "But anywho, my name is Ariston." Her name rang into his head. Heartless? So.. did she really not posses a heart? He cringed at that thought. Although he had a heart, all of it was for himself. Never had he shown what a heart would posses for someone else. It was the way he was, the way he was made. Who know if his own heart could ever be unlocked, too.

With a sway of his tail, he pondered on what he should do next. He was really hoping to actually have a conversation with a Kalona mare for once, though that did not look like it was likely. "I have never seen you around, Miss Heartless. Do you usually prefer the shade or night? Nightime is my favorite of all, though I doubt I could blend in like you do.." Saying that, he looked down at his obnoxiously white body, but inside gleamed at how perfect he was.

AnimeChickie
She listened to him chuckle, she wondered what it was like to have emotions, to have a heart. At the moment, that was only a dream for her. For now, her attention was focused on the other stallion. She could tell he wasn't like the kalona mare she had saw on that night full of terror. Besides that ruby red kalona, she had not met any other kalona.

Heartless spoke a sort of eloquence but not with any emotion, "The nighttime is very nice. Shade is just a fake kind of night. Nothing special." Was he... trying to flatter her? She didn't really know what to say since she hardly ever... spoke. It was always tormeting other soquili which she loved to do, but that required no socialization.

She was beginning to feel a little more at ease. Maybe she would reveal herself soon... Maybe.

Ariston's ears perked up happily, only because the mare said many words this time. Maybe him being true to somebody could actually make situations work. "Ahh, and shade is nice for the skin, of course. So I take it you are not a fan of the daylight? Hmph, don't worry, you aren't missing anything but lots of drama." He sighed and leaned against a soft bush. Lately the drama had been overflowing like crazy, and he was starting to get achy from it. First the lazy stallion, and now someone new who avoided such things? The thought of staying away now seemed even more lovely to him.

He swapped his tail at the feeling of a branch tickling his back, and he sighed again at how relaxed he felt. He just wished Heartless could feel that way as well.

"Do you enjoy flight? It is very soothing, and another way to escape the daily horrors." It was one of the only ways that Ariston was able to stay sane. He would soar just let himself find all the things that mattered, which were usually petty things about himself. Though, it had proven itself a useful skill for relaxation.

AnimeChickie
Nice for the skin? Heartless knew of no such things, but she ignored the comment and listened to him talk. "No, sunlight... does not bode well with me." The mare paused slightly and waited for the right moment.

"I do not... fly. I prefer the solid ground beneath my hooves." The mare shrugged slightly and then wondered why she had never really taken flight. It just... wasn't appealing to her, plus that would mean she would have to go out in the open and that was just a no-no. "I watch things that go on during the daytime from the shadows. Nobody notices me." She almost sounded sad when she said that.

Knowing that he probably wouldn't be such a good object of tormet, because he was a kalona too, she decided that talking to him might be a good thing. So far he was interesting enough, but she didn't find his personality interesting, she was more interested... in his heart.

Beginning to feel slightly more relaxed, Heartless began to circle him. The moment she moved out of the shadows, her physical appearance became visible. Her single dark braid shone in the moonlight as she walked in a circle around him. She would be in the moonlight for a few seconds and then walk into the shadows again, the cycle continued. But always, her golden eyes were visible, staring at him.

"Ahh, I see.." He said, as he watched the cat-like figure surround him. He was delighted that she finally appeared, though was overwhelmed by what she looked like. She was an impressive Kalona, even if she didn't see it herself.

"Do not fly?!" Ariston almost gasped at the thought. "I can understand that you do not want to fly on a sunny day but, flying in the nighttime is most amazing." His eyes filled with excitement, as he ignored her sulky surrounding of him. "Would you like to go fly now? I promise, you are going to thank me after. You are blessed with wings! You are meant to fly!" He sounded like he was giving a pep speech, and even that scared him. But for a moment, he felt a tad sorry for the female, wanting her to experience more than what she already had.

He figured that she would most like reject, but decided to flap his own wings out. In doing so, it helped him stand out much taller and bolder than before, and the glimmering gold and white was as bright as ever.

"Flying in the moonlight.." He said, quietly. "There is no such better thing. He looked up at her, with a bit of child in his eyes.

Heartless began to wonder where he was going and how long she would actually be following him. She shrugged off the thoughts; she would think about that when the time came. The mare was too intrigued by this unusual kalona to be shaken off now. She wanted to know more about him... Of course she had ulterior motives, but...

Continuing to move discretely, Heartless stayed in the shadows, her long single braid moving silently beside her as if it had life of its own.

As he made his way through a small clearing, the trees started to move out onto the sides, revealing a beautiful spectacle of nature. The forest continued on, but the clearing itself was a small opening, where the dark night sky was completely visible. Ariston had taken a notice that the sky was dark this evening, probably because of some hazy clouds. He knew that if the stars were shinning too brightly, Heartless would have never ventured into such an area.

There were a few big rocks scattered here and there, but it was mainly open space. It was an area that Ariston knew well, only because many did not know of it. It was hidden deep in the forest, and it was a place where Ariston was able to take naps, or even just relax against a tree.

He walked out onto the middle, and put his gaze on the sky. To him, it was unfortunate that the clouds were making it so dark, but it still allowed for the moon to peek out here and there. He glistened in the few rays of moon drops, and let his wings fold out, further than in the cramped forest to his sides. He wondered what Heartless was thinking, and if she was even still there. Flapping his wings gently, he swooped up into the air, but stayed low and just a bit over the trees. He followed the circle of trees, and stayed around the natural flatland. He wondered why Heartless was so uncomfortable with the gift of flight, and he wondered if his spectacle of enjoyment would do anything for her.

Staring at the area that they had just entered, Heartless was unfazed. She did not appreciate beauty, she did not appreciate nature. She appreciated and thought of nothing. But why had he come here? Did he have a reason? Staying in the shadows of the tree, Heartless did not want to come out into the open. The mare pawed at the ground timidly wondering what he was going to do.

Watching him take to the air, Heartless gazed at him with unmoving eyes. What was he doing? Did he even know that she was still following him? Like she would take to the air. Psh. She wouldn't even go by herself, why would she trust another and do something that she'd prefer not to do? So many questions...

The mare watched him soar over the trees wondering if he was taking his leave or not. It would be unfortunate if he did, because she didn't even get to take a piece of his heart with her.

There was no change in Heartless, so Ariston was indeed more confused then before. He slowly made one last cricle and then landed in the clearing. His body faced the opposite direction from where Heartless was hiding, but he raised his head, saying, "Why do you continue to just hide from me?" His eyes stayed forward, feeling a bit sad with her nothingness reaction. "I thought you would at least have some kind of reaction, though I was obviosuly wrong." He finally turned his body around, facing exactly where she was. He didn't care if she fled, but he needed to confront her.

"I tried my best to do something to tickle your fancy. Maybe you don't even wish for anything?" His eyes screamed at her, wondering what she was thinking. "Well, either way I did enjoy you company.. well what you briefly said I guess." He chuckled, but then brought his stern reaction back.

Tilting her head, Heartless wasn't sure how to react. She didn't know how to socialize, she guessed. Was he angry with her? What was she supposed to do if he was angry? Other soquili were too complicated for her... Why couldn't they just have simple emotions and simple thoughts? Life would be so much easier for her.

The kalona gazed back at him with her glowing eyes. Silent. She wasn't about to apologize, but then what should she do? He was the first soquili that actually tried to be nice to her. Wherever she went, she was immediately shunned because of her apparent kalona blood. "Excuse me then. I don't like being out in the open. I prefer to linger within the darkness. I do not consider this hiding." Heartless spoke with a sort of straight-forwardness and bluntness. What else was she supposed to say?

"Aye, I think I finally understand that. I just thought you were always hiding in the darkenss, but I guess it is just something you prefer overall." He nodded his head at the new information, as if saving it.

He then looked at her thouroughly, and curved his lips into a smile. "Heartless, do you even enjoy my company? If I am disturbing you I can always take my leave..especially if that is something you prefer." Thinking about it, he wondered if it was crazy for him to keep persuing some kind of reaction in her, and if he was the one causing her discomfort. She obviously wasn't comfortable, and if he was the cause, why should he continue to punish her. That wasn't his main goal, overall.

Bringing his wings back next to him comfortably, he continued to watch her, wondering what was going through her glowing eyes.

Also, she felt an unerving twinge whenever she went into the light and open area. She did not like that at all... Heartless wasn't one to feeling vulnerable or weak. The mare would rather be in control and in power.

Pausing, she wasn't quite sure how to respond. Yes, she liked his company, but of course she had other plans. Though she wasn't about to ruin that idea just yet. "Hm. No, your company has been... pleasant? You may leave if I'm bothering you, but no, you aren't bothering me." Of course that was a blatant lie, but even if it didn't seem true, Heartless did rather be in the company of others then being along.

(( I think I am going to end it, only because I haven't thought of any other Ariston schemes, but I think they should RP again for sure X3 !! ))

Ariston sighed and looked at her, feeling exhausted from his efforts. "No you are not bothering me of course, I am just a bit tired.. I have tried everything in my power, and now all I want to do is fall over." He chuckled at Heartless, and looked up at her again. Could he ever make her smile, or even open up a bit? That was something Ariston would just have to work on.

"Well, either way I am afraid I must take my leave, but I hope it is ok if I find you again, I think I now know where to look." He winked at her, and prepared his wings, swinging his long mane back behind him. "Farewell for now, Heartless. I hope your evening continues to remain pleasant." Feeling the sky again, he dashed up into the air, and swerved away, thinking about his evening and what could happen in the future.

Oh, what a pity. Heartless couldn't help but wonder if they would ever meet again. Within the bottomless depth of her soul, she wanted to see him again. She wanted to grab a hold of that heart of his, and she wanted to call it her own. She couldn't help but feel jealous, because he had a heart. Someday... But that someday might bring about a whole new set of conflicts and problems that could change Heartless forever.

"Good bye." The mare uttered in an almost inaudible voice, but loud enough so he could hear it. Watching him with silent eyes, she watched him take to the air and disappear from her sight. As he left, Heartess closed her eyes, making her invisible in the darkness, and she disappeared into the night.

((Hehe. -pings luff- Yes they should. xD))
