Frankly, with the coming of so many arrivals of new Soquili, he was getting tired of encountering random ones that always somehow strayed into his path. He was slowly giving up his quest to look for the one mare he had hoped to find, and was beginning to realize that mayhap she never really existed after all. He sighed, accepting that he was doomed to remain with the curse of his blood for years to come.
Graceful, calculated steps moved smoothly across the ground of the darkening woods as his sharp ruby eyes glittered dangerously while scanning his surroundings. Hopefully, he was alone... he scented the smell of water a bit ahead, and made for the area. He was thirsty from the constant traveling, and needed a place to rest for the night. Maybe there was a lake up ahead with a safe cavern or clearing somewhere...

Finally have a refreshing moment to himself, Ariston had saved himself from the worthless drama of others. Lately, there had been so many quarrels lately, he wondered if it was the time of year or the weather change. Of course, he would never admit that maybe it was just him. Flicking his tail up in the air, he loved the feeling of it falling down, like a thrashing waterfall. He chuckled at his own amusement.
He had spent enough time enjoying himself that he was off, off to somewhere to do something. Whatever something he was thinking about didn't actually exist, but it was an excuse to wander. Thinking wasn't his thing, anyhow. Deciding to strut forward, he poked his shoulders out, and went for a relaxing but beautiful walk.

Deciding his horns needed sharpening--they were getting dull from not being used in an overly long period--he continued along his purpose-filled path, having lost interest in his surroundings after making sure he was actually alone this time. He was weary of the whirling emotions that constantly battered at him, and was weary of his uncontrolled bloodlust. He had nearly killed another mare again. He wasn't the type of Kalona that loved to attack the weak and helpless, no matter if they fought back or not.
Kalona were notorious for their strength and will, their fighting spirit as well as their pride. He hadn't meant to do that, but he had found satisfaction later on by finding a few rabbits to eat in privacy. His bloodlust controlled, he was back to himself, although now he worried about attacking any friends... no, not friends, allies, if he failed to appease his meat-want. Sighing mentally, his eyes began to rove around as he searched for an opening that would lead him to that lake he had smelled earlier. Now, which direction was the scent coming from?

Ariston's ears seemed to be the only body part that was actually paying attention, but he could have sworn he heard the sounds of hooves. The sound was louder than usual, which meant it wasn't a female. 'Great, just what I want.' He thought to himself. Lately he had been running into too many stallions, and that was not something he ever enjoyed. He continued on his path, pouty at the current finding.
The sound of hooves consistently got louder, but yet he was not finding anything. 'Maybe he thinks I am chasing him?' Ariston's lip curled, knowing that he was the more manlier one anyways. At least the stallion knew he had no chance against him. Of course he would never admit that they were just in opposite areas. The maze of finding the noise had interested him, and he wanted to reveal where the thumps were coming from.

Windflame narrowed his eyes as the distant sound of hooves came to his ears. What? He was alone! This wasn't possible! He had made sure he was alone; there was just no possible way that he could not be by himself, and yet the sound of hooves shattered that illusion. Frowning, he headed toward the sound, ready to scare off the other Soquili so that he could be by himself. Although he usually tried not to be intimidating, this time around, he was in the mood and would gladly do so to drive away the intruder.
No one was going to get in his way once he had his mind set; not even other Kalona.

Ariston came to a complete stop, especially when he realized his head was facing the opposite direction from his body. He was.. staring at himself! A wonderful lake front had appeared in front of him, and perfect timing! He felt a bit sweaty from all of this moving, and from turning his head back and forth he noticed his hair was absolutely perfect. 'Thank goodness!' he thought, dreading a bad hair day. There was no such thing in Ariston's world.
At this point, he wasn't paying attention to anything except himself. He posed every few seconds, and was dazzled by how splendid he was. Stupid he was, not paying attention at all, especially with the sound of hooves coming towards him!
((Oh goodness, why do I feel I am getting revenge on him >3 XDDD ))

Windflame soon arrived at the lake he had scented earlier, spotting a white, blond, prissy Kalona. And he thought he had long hair! But unlike that Kalona, who was obviously very proud of his looks--for the stallion continuously posed every few minutes--he wanted to curl a lip of scorn as he watched for a moment before he smoothly moved a few feet away from the stallion, bending down to take a refreshing drink to quench his mounting thirst.
Out of the corner of his eye, the stallion appeared to enjoy looking at himself, which made him want to shake his head and roll his eyes in exasperation. Who knew there were those kinds of personality that were a part of the blood of his kin? Certainly not him, for this stallion had a very strong ego; moreso than the usual Kalona Soquili, who, of course, were a very proud race... just not with looks. Their strength and their intimidation, of course, but not looks.

Turning ever so abnoxiously, Ariston eyed the supposedly loud hoofs that were next to him. "Oh, a Kalona.." he said out loud, as if it was nothing. He looked at the spectacle next to him, confused where he had come from. He was a Kalona he had never seen before. Something suprised him the most though. Most Kalona stallions would not even walk next to Ariston, nevertheless not kill him in the first few seconds of spotting. This one was minding his own bussiness, and enjoying a drink all to himself.
"And who might you be, if I may ask so." He said, turning his body to where he actually looked normal to the Kalona. He felt himself gasp as he finally noticed the lucious mane. "You have such long hair! And I thought I was the only Kalona with such a thing." He chuckled to him, letting some innocence fall out of his purple eyes for now.

Windflame straightened from getting his fill of water to get a much better look at the white and blond Kalona before him. He had tried his best to ignore this Kalona, but because he knew the stallion would probably question him later as to why he didn't attack him or made insults, he sighed to himself. "Windflame Bloodrider ist this one's name," he said, nodding sagely. "And thou? Thy name ist...?"
The evident surprise at his mane was followed by his blood-red eyes scanning the other stallion, and he clucked his tongue inside his mouth. "This one thought so as well, though thou have the look of being in these lands far longer than this one." He shifted to look into the lake, seeing the reflection of the trees all around them. He wouldn't let his guard down, even if the other stallion in front of him didn't seem threatening... at least, for now.

Ariston's first reaction was that of surprise, and he held his tongue but really wanted to say 'Wow this guy talks funny.' "My name is Ariston.." He said, letting his purple eyes look at the stallion freely. The Kalona's name sounded strong, and he was curious to many questions about him. That was something that depended on how long Ariston's mind would last, especially towards a stallion.
Ariston's small brain was slowly taking in his words, but after a few seconds he was able to understand them. "Yes, I have been around or awhile I guess.." He chuckled, feeling sort of old. "I was going to say, I don't think I have seen you in these parts before. " He still was feeling uneasy as to why the Kalona hadn't attacked him already for something, so he was utterly confused. Though alas, he was happy nevertheless, only because he usually could never talk to other Kalonas.

He tilted his head in the usual style he used to bow and acknowledge all others he came in contact with. "A pleasure to meet thee, Sir Ariston," Windflame addressed solemnly. He turned away from looking into the lake's reflections to look toward Ariston. If a horse could, he would have cocked an eyebrow, but as such, he didn't have eyebrows, and all he did was twitch an ear to show he was even listening at all.
"That is because this one has recently come to these lands," he explained, seeing that Ariston was confused, causing him to smirk slightly. He didn't particularly enjoy causing confusion, but the stallion in front of him was amusing; the poor male was probably wondering why he hadn't yet been attacked. Windflame had been wondering that himself but judging from the way Ariston spoke it was obvious.
It seemed he wasn't the only one with a soft temper, although he figured that, like himself, Ariston probably did have his ill-tempered moments.

"It is a pleasure to meet you as well." He said, nodding carefully. "It is not often that I run into such a pollite Kalona." Ariston thought he was the only Kalona stallion who would give others the time of day, but it seemed Windflame also used such methods. Him explaining that he was new to the land made more sense for Ariston, and he was sure if Windflame was here sooner, they would have run into each other.
"Are you enjoying it here?" Of course he wasn't sure where the Kalona was from and how different the Soquili land was, but it was a pollite question to ask. He also wondered one other thing. Windflame looked like he could handle himself in a fight, easily perhaps. But the way he treated Ariston made him wonder how he treated other Kalonas.
"Have you run into any other Kalonas? You might see that they are.. quite different." He chuckled, letting his hair swing from the movement of his body.

He tilted his head as he contemplated Ariston's question. "No, 'tis not often at all," he agreed, "for this one has yet to have encountered any other by mine self as a polite Kalona." He shrugged a wing as he answered the other's question. "This one finds this place enjoyable, and yet, in some ways, irritable. This one has yet to discover anything special... though many, many Soquili roam these lands. It almost feels too crowded."
A dark smirk appeared on Windflame's muzzle at Ariston's last statement. "Aye, this one hath met other Kalona," he said, his already blood-red eyes darkening to a deep, evil red. "They are incompetent imbeciles who do not know how to control themselves. Weak. Very weak." After speaking, his eye color returned to the bright, blood-red they were before, but more cold and emotionless than ever. He frowned at the thought of the other Kalona, and then shook his head.

Ariston nodded to him, understanding the irritable part. "Aye, there are quite a lot of Soquili here. I enjoy that, though hate all of the drama." He sighed, realizing the awful few days he had so far. Lately, the drama seemed to be pouring out from all angles.
The stallion's reaction picked at Ariston the most, especially because he acted the exact way as well. "I think you described them perfectly, well from my standpoint as well." He chuckled to the stallion, smiling at him. "I believe that they are weak too, and overall just imbeciles. I don't incorporate myself with them." Its not like Ariston incorporated himself with anybody anyways, though he truly disliked other Kalonas. "The mares are especially hard to deal with." He sighed at the thought of all of them wanting to kill him. "There is such a lack of patience, it is most ugly." He flipped his hair at the thought.

Mentally, Windflame was amazed that there was another Kalona that held the same views as him, though more than likely in a different perspective, so to speak. Ariston held his physical appearance in high regard, whilst Windflame relied on his inner strength. They were the same, yet opposites. He wondered how that came to be, and yet, he found it very agreeable. He despised all other Kalona, and the mares? He had yet to figure them out.
"Thou hath a strange of describing it, but this one agrees with everything thou speakth of whole-heartedly," Windflame said, chuckling along with the stallion, but stopping short because his ear had twitched at an odd sound. He straightened and looked around, wondering what the noise was, only to find a small bird dash out of the trees and fly off into the sky. He shrugged, inwardly glad it had only been a mere bird.
