"a zuu, her!"
they looked at each other a moment then back to the ronso but expressions seemed sincere and stern. rumple also looked over to shimari with open eyes.
"but......"
she quickly clambered up realizing what she was doing and tried to put on a brave face.
"thats right. it wasnt easy but with a little skill i managed to get the advantage over it."
they still looked at each other.
"those things may look big but they have there weaknesses"
the guards still thought it was crazy, but maybe.
"very well, but we will have to see you in action before we believe that. ok your both hired. you may proceed and pick up your uniforms but keep to the lower floors"
they watched them carefully and rumple led the way inside.

When the gurads dared to question Shamari, she put on a stern face and stared right back at them. The only thing that worried her was that Rumple nearly threw off what she was trying to do. Luckily the moogle realized what Shamari was doing a quieted down.
When Rumple spoke of the weaknesses of a Zuu, it made Shamari smile inwardly. Of course they had a weakness, at the base of their skull. But, the guards didnt have to know that. It was when they hired the two that the Ronso woman finally eased up just a little bit. They were in, that was a start.
Walking after Rumple she headed toward where they were to get uniforms, rather intrested to see if they actually had something in Ronso and Moogle size.

rumple woddled inside and made her way to the nearest open room along with shamri where guards were posted both male and female and the looked them over very sternly watching every move they make. it was hard to not feel nervous but she tried to keep her cool and was lucky shamari was with her and gave a fierce presence. the guards let them through and continued on there way passing by and staring.
she walked to the changing rooms and found a guards uniform to put on under her armor strapping it on . it was very baggy so rumple decided to just where the belts and gloves as she smiled to shimari. she looked quite funny as it was but by the colors she could be recognized as a guard, a strange looking one but still a guard. she also took a radio to know where the other guards were located.
"well were in lets just hope we can get past everyone and get what we need"
rumple was still unsure what they could find but she was interested in finding a little about this new empress in charge.
"you ready?"

Shamari followed after Rumple, looking at each of the guards as they stared at the passing group. This was a place where she let her posture and movment basically give off a feirce and strong message. The more they stayed away, the better off they would be.
Stepping into the changing room, Shamari went through the spar uniforms looking for the biggest one they had. She was fairly used to having to suffice for things not quite big enough for her, but she was happy she was Female. Male Ronsos would have never been able to squeeze into these things.
Taking off the armor she had on, she slipped the guard uniform on. It fit, but only barely on her. Putting the armor she had back on over it she looked over to Rumple and shook her head. Two extrems and each having to modify the outfit. Looking at the boots she cast them aside and picked up the gloves, slipping those over her hands.
Turning to look over at Rumple she nodded once and headed back out to get their assignment for today. Hopfully they wouldnt have to be here too long to get information.

poking her head out the door rumple walked out holding a rifle on her shoulder and marching along to try and fit in. she made her way outside with shamari and stood to attention. the guards sniggered at there uniforms and how they wore them but soon stopped looking at shamari.
"uhhh...hehe....very good. your assimant will be to keep an eye on the supply room on the bottom floor. its pretty quite so you shouldnt have to much trouble, just dont wonder off in places restricted"
"you've got it"
the gaurds chuckled again as they left and walked back in. the soldiers inside were ether stationed in positions all around or discussing things in the large open area. it was quite an open area with more machinery and electricity serging around than she had ever seen.
the sound of clanking machines and drilling came from all around but there seemed to be quite little in the place that she could make out, they would have to get to the higher floors to find the real hidden secrets.
she looked around for a lift and nodded to shamari making her way over there. a guard saluted her and she saluted back continuing. her eyes gazed all around at any sign of trouble or things of interest but she remained inconspicuous as she walked.

Shamari eyed the giggleing Guards, bringing her last step down a little harder than all the others to get their attention. It would be hard to be taken seriously with Rumple, but the Moogle could come in very handy in her own right. Once they were giving orders, she signed and shook her head. She knew they would get something simple like that to begin with. Always did.
Heading off she made sure to keep a mental map of everything and the lay out of it all. Never know when you might have to make a quick get away. Looking at where Rumple was headed, she followed suit, mimicing the salute as she passed by.
"Where are we going Rumple?"
Shamari asked in a quieted tone.

"i think we should head to the higher floor" she said in a whisper.
"im sure well find what we need up there we just have to play it cool"
rumple kept up a steady stroll nodding to a few guards and walked towards the lift door but was suddenly halted by thetwogaurdsthere.
"halt,where do you think you two are going. well answer"
"umm..."
quick rumple think, think.
"ah...we've just been sent over to tighten security. theres a group of representatives being transported here from ah......um....avardia and we need to make sure the upper floor is guarded with are certain talents. don't want anything to get in the way of security do you.
man that was a big bluff hope they believed it, i think it was quite good. avardia is a major city and it might happen.
"they must be here due to the empress announcement."
rumple began to get a bit more nervous staring up at shamari.

Shamari raised a brow at the way Rumple was thinking, but it was worth a shot she supposed. Pausing next to Rumple as they were stopped by the guards, she let the moogle do most the talking. It was a huge bluff on her part, and a harder one to prove if anything. But the gurads seemed to half believe it by the way they responded.
"Strong Ronso warrior and powerful Moogle mage are to guard upper floors and Empress incase someone attacks. Big names coming here bring people who want them dead."
Shamari said, backing up what Rumple said, but in a more convincing tone.
Yes, Rumple may not have been a mage, but it was a more convincing thing to say instead of telling them she was a fighter. As for her, without her lance it was hard to prove her dragoon class, so she opted for warrior status for now. Putting her hands on her hips she scilently waited for them to either let them pass or turn them away. If the latter happened, she had a good excuse as to why they tried to get by.

"hmm but the empress is away on business"
the gaurd scowled at them then the other guard whispered in his ear.
"perhaps they await her return,her actions in avardia might cause conflict and the empresses protection comes above all after her fathers assassination."
"hmm, im still not sure"
"whats the matter having trouble trusting a moogle and a loyal ronso"
the guard brushed his chin.
"sorry i better radio this in and check before i let you through"
rumple bit her lower lip and looked desperately at shamari.

For the most part it looked like they might have gotten in, but those machina radios could throw the whole thing off and ruin what they were trying to do. Looking down in thought she saw that Rumple was looking to her for an idea. She had winged it thus far, a little more couldnt hurt, could it?
"No need. Supposed to be secret. Better to have unseen warriors than to let whole army know your presences."
She said, hopeing that it made sense enough to the guard with the radio. For the most part this was going rather smooth, though she thought her idea would have been better. It was too late to argue it now she supposed and went with it.

"hmmm"
the man held the radio in his hand ready to call someone.
"maybe secrecy at this moment is the best idea but i will have to confirm this later. i don't like newcomers interfering make sure you watch your step.i dont want any mistakes from you two while your up there. make sure you do the job you were sent here for or they'll be trouble. the empress safety is are number one priority at the moment"
the gaurd put his radio back in its holder and moved to the side tolet them pass, but as they did he lowered his weapon in front of them.
"ill be up to check on you two shortly"
he then raised it and rumple put on a smile saluting and walking into the lift with shamari as the doors closed and it traveled up.

Shamari would have breathed a sigh of relief if she didnt have to continue looking serious. Saluting the men as they let them pass, Shamari got onto the lift and turned around to face the doors. Crossing her arms over her chest she looked down to Rumple when the lift was far enough away from the other guards.
"That was close."
She said slowly, letting out her sigh of relief now that they were clear... for now anyway. With her tail swaying thuoghtfully behind her she waited for the lift to reach its stop.
Once it did she stepped off the machina lift and looked around at the upper floors. They looked a whole lot better than the lower ones, that was for sure. Now, where to start?

"lets head this way"
rumple stepped ahead and walked around the corridor opening one of the shutter doors into a huge factory built in the tower. she just observed from afar for a moment at the scientist and al bhed machinists at work looking over plans and fixing up robotic parts. rumple walked on ahead watching all that was happening.
she turned as she heard the firing of rapid bullets seeing tests going on the other side in a see through room where weapons were being tested and shielding looked at for there protective quality. strange devices were being created for different situations and obstacles but the main theme seemed to be weapons for ether swift manoverable attacks or large defense efficient powerful weapons. whatever they were doing there was enough here to start there own war and she was sure there was more going on in the many other rooms.
rumple couldn't make out anything she could understand or take back to show thou but it was obvious this was in aid of something, something big. ahead was the stairs heavily guarded, that must be the way to the upper floors and the empress's room but this area was big enough to keep them occupied for quite some time.
there was so much going on here thou and so much careful planning she felt it go over her head a bit. walking over to a table she saw some blue prints laid out and a large well made powerful gun laying on the table. she picked it carefully up to take a look at.

Walking down the corridors of the upper floors, Shamari began to let her gaze wander into the rooms where weapons and armor wer being tested. Being that she could understand Al Bhed might have worked to her advantage had there not been so much talking and firing of weapons. Everything was broken and words were missing in the scentances she actually caught. Most of it was nothing, and anything that would have been good to know got drowned out by gun fire.
Taking a glance over to the heavily guarded stair well, she felt that something had to be going on, but they werent going to find out by walking around. They would either have to hit the jackpot of files, or get someone to sit down with them and talk. All this got Shamari a little side tracked, enough to where she lost track of Rumple for a moment.
Looking around frantically she spied the moogle playing with a weapon. Walking over to Rumple she would have said something about the weapon, but figured not to. Looking at the blueprints she rested her hands on the table and read what she could understand.
"What does Rumple make of this."
She said after a while, pointing to the blueprint before putting her hand back on the table.

Hmm no sure it sure is interesting thou. i think looking at these plans its some kind of unique gun only the highest al bhed order can create. i cant understand the al bhed language so i dont know precisely, but from these diagrams it appears to be some kind of weapon which uses magic as ammunition."
she brushed her hand across the pictures.
"the energy feeds of the energy of the user draining them and transferring what power they have into the gun creating a magical burst of energy, but thats not all. it looks like substances can be used from anywhere to combine and create a unique magic of the element."
the moogle pondered this for a moment.
"these weapons would be perfect in an ongoing war as the holder could find what they needed on the go to use and also if they had no other choice use there own strength to fuel it."
