There was already a lot going on here with so many senshi and living things in this world. The goal was to find something called a jackalope which sounded cute and he was glad the goal was to catch it instead of trying to harm the thing.

Shuffling along, he mostly watched the other Senshi for a bit to try and see if he recognized anyone. Everyone seemed to scatter off in different directions pretty quickly so he picked one that looked a bit less packed and picked up the pace a bit. It took a bit to get his bearings but after he really noticed how different it was here.

He had to watch out and keep from tripping or falling since he wasn't used to this world but it was nice seeing so many others here and not feeling any of that chaos that was all over his own planet. It was refreshing after everything and even if it had him running around it was much better than things had been in the city as well.

Hierpolis, Page of Cybele

At first, it seemed like maybe he was just quietly walking through the woods with no intention of seeking out the horned creature, and perhaps maybe he was, but it was not without benefit.

The more he walked through the woods the more calm he felt. It was like being back at home on one of his evening walks. In a way, this place was home too, or at least it sure felt it at times. Especially on his wonder, where a feeling of nostalgia tugged at the edge of his consciousness and called to some part of him that he didn't know - a feeling that poked at emotions and instincts from another time long ago.

The more he wondered the more he let himself feel the soft touch of those things and listen to the eccho of a thought in his mind that reminded him that he was the hunstman and there was a hunt afoot.

Dering, Squire of Lysithea

Who was…

Dering was temporarily distracted by the Lysithea Squire that bolted past him with his finger pointed straight at him. For a split second he thought it was Lisse but the colors were wrong, and–

Oh wait, he had a brother, didn’t he? He’d been surprised that he hadn’t even been able to sputter out the ‘Okay’ that filtered through his mind, so he’d wound up just nodding as he watched the Squire disappear. They could talk later!

…As long as he wasn’t in trouble. He was flustered, though, and shook his head as he tried to focus.

He turned back to Reims and blinked, visibly confused by the question. “I like cheese,” he answered, but he wasn’t sure if that was some sort of riddle or inside joke that he’d missed. “Why?”

Oh–they were supposed to be chasing the jackalope. He’d totally lost sight of it but gestured for Reims to walk with him. He was listening, and wasn’t going fast enough to put any gap between them, but he still wanted to see the little thing!

Super Meissa

So far she wasn't having any luck in trying to catch, let alone, find this mystical jackalope that Cybele had released into the wild. Was she, like the others here, doomed to fail? There had been some shouts of surprise amongst those that were hunting which must have meant at least some people were spotting the darned thing, but it seemed as if catching were another matter entirely. There had been no loud victory cry from anyone yet that Meissa could tell of.

Her gaze narrowed considerably before a sigh of frustration escaped her. Why did it seem like something fun to do was becoming almost something akin to a chore?

Meissa wondered where Illyria had gotten off to because she knew that she had indeed seen the Mauvian at the very beginning she just hadn't had time to say hello. It seemed weird that they were both up here at for this event that was being hosted but it might have allowed her a bit of time to try and catch up with the sweet Guardian cat. At least for the moment she could hunt to her heart's content. It seemed as if it wasn't quite her turn yet in the arm wrestling competition.

Illyria

In waiting for another chance to ambush her prey Illyria had found herself investigating the obstacle course by chance and came back from the experience with a new outlook on how lacking in human hunting skills she had been. Well, that was fine. She wasn't a human. At least not most of the time. Most of her hunting was done in her feline form and that was what she was most comfortably suited for. It still rankled her that she had fallen off the very first obstacle though. The worse insult to her pride was that she had ended up getting soaked as a result.

Now she had sequestered herself out of sight and began a thorough grooming session. Her fur still seemed damp and that just wouldn't do. It wasn't like she was going to spot her quarry from where she had hidden herself from view at the moment, so it was only natural to occupy her time with the important task of getting clean once more. There was still a lot of time it seemed since the prey everyone was still chasing after remained free. For now, she would continue to dry herself off so that she didn't fall ill before resuming her own style of hunting.

Eternal Myrrha

Standing around doing nothing wasn't going to help her find the jackalope. Neither was muttering out of the corner of her mouth into the silence of her little patch of forest but Myrrha was getting a little tired. The senshi had taken to crooning to the wayward beast in an effort to draw it out towards her but so far it didn't seem to be working very well. Her lips pursed together as she lifted the fronds of a plant to check underneath the foliage before she whispered once more, "here bunny bunny bunny. If you come to me, I'll give you a nice juicy carrot."

Did jackalopes even eat carrots? Myrrha knew that earth rabbits liked the vegetable but did space rabbit/deer like them as well? For that matter, she didn't even have said carrot on her but who'd be able to tell? She picked up a medium length stick and began to gently strike at the various plants, trying to flush the creature out from underneath if it had taken to hiding itself from all those that were after it.

Myrrha felt like it was the stubbornness deep inside that kept her hunting. There was still time before there was a competitor to face her in the arm wrestling competition so why not at least get in a little more physical activity before hand. It seemed like a win-win situation. The bonus would be if she could coax their prey to her wiht just words alone now.

Squire Irkalla

Hunting plants instead of hunting one live animal was working pretty well for Irkalla. There was still the consideration of what she would do with the specimens she was finding. It was probably a pretty sure thing that she should not take little bits of flora home with her to study lest something go awry and she introduced some new contaminant to Earth's ecosystem. But as long as she was up here, there was the chance to study things more closely.

The squire of Cosmos was still, in fact, paying attention to her surroundings, less their target prey wander across her path, but she wasn't actively pursuing it anymore. The woman sighed. She'd always known that deep down, she would always respect nature ... hunting an animal for sport was not very respectful or responsible. In this type of scenario though - was it right or wrong to hunt?

Spotting the path that led towards the Obstacle Course the brunette glanced back and forth between the path she was on, and the path leading away. There would be time to rejoin the hunt later. With a cheery tune on her lips, Irkalla moved down the path to the Obstacle course to give it a go.

Transcendent Eternal Anser of Geese

Alright, Anser. Time to be like the Anserians of the past. That felt like what she was supposed to do in this situation.

She thought herself fairly efficient at hunting down those of chaos. She just needed to channel that into hunting down a ... jackalope. The Negaverse didn't have anything equivalent. Maybe if she thought of a jackalope like a small youma? Anser absolutely could hunt down small youma. She had dusted an untold number of them throughout her life.

Too bad she didn't have the whole permanent end thing that Cybele could do. Anser was fine continuing to do dusting over and over, but...

Where was that jackalope?

Transcendent Eternal Encke of Plasma

He hadn't lost it yet.

Encke could see why catching it had been set up as such a challenge. Just because he could see it doesn't mean he could catch it. Once he saw it, though, he couldn't really let his attention go anywhere else. The moment he felt his attention drifting, he desperately tried to get it back on point. Every time he saw the jackalope move, he followed.

Every. Time.

Did the jackalope see him? Was that why it was dodging him so efficiently? He didn't know a damn thing about rabbit vision. Caring about how rabbits saw had never really been a priority of his...

Maybe if introducing one of the glowkitties from his comet wouldn't cause an invasive species problem, they could get this jackalope for him.

... Was that cheating? Probably.

[encke still sees the jackalope!!]

Dumuzi, Page of Pluto

Dumuzi fished his phone out of subspace to quickly google some more images of what a jackalope was thought to look like. He knew what Cybele had said and shown, but more fantasy to work from would be nice. Dumuzi liked many pictures.

With this, there were two problems. One, there was no internet connection in space. Two, there also wasn't any data connection. This did not work.

... s**t.

Dumuzi disappeared the phone back to his subspace land and blinked, glancing around to see if any of the other people around might give him a clue on where to look. Nothing wrong with getting some hints. Dumuzi did spot a guy who was glowing and figured he was onto something. Best to just follow his lead, but take another faster route.

Then maybe he could head off the jackalope, scoop it up, and run its a** back to the princess.

Emain Ablach, Squire of Earth

It had been a no-brainer to come to something Princess Cybele was holding. The Bell household—especially Livie and Ignacio—had been chatty enough about it that it’d filtered down to him in his room in the basement, and so he’d checked his messages out of curiosity. Between that and paying closer attention to the ambient buzzing, it’d spurred him to come out to her event. He’d been on Cybele’s homeworld before and it’d be nice to be there for a less stressful reason, this time.

One of the tasks they all had to complete was to find a jackalope. His initial surprise and skepticism at the name of the creature had given way to fascination when the creature was shown. Of course, he didn’t know why he was surprised. Of all the things he knew existed, a jackalope was one of the milder ones.

He waited out the minute that was given for the jackalope to get away and then immediately set to tracking it down. He wasn’t the wilderness type normally, but he liked being in the forests surrounding them all. Something about all the trees and the sunlight filtering through the leaves.

Perhaps it was an element of him waiting for the exact right time, perhaps due to an eagle eye, but he was able to recognize the jackalope immediately in the environment.

Now just to figure out how to catch it.

Imhotep, Page of Mercury

Cybele’s homeworld was a pleasant place to be, his previous experience with it notwithstanding. Not that the previous experience had been necessarily a bad one, but it had been… taxing. It was nice to be there for other reasons. Less emotionally complicated reasons.

Reasons like a jackalope.

Was he a biologist? No, but being faced with mythological creatures was enough to keep Imhotep's attention engaged and his curiosity piqued. He made sure to study all visible elements of their features before turning his focus to the one wearing lavender. Clever, using one of her colours to pinpoint one of them, the relevant one.

Imhotep wasn't going to rush off when the minute ticked by the ways others did, but Promethei was taking his time. Imhotep could understand it. The whole former Boy Scout thing, probably. Nature walks. Walks that the other three used to go on all the time, but that was something Imhotep didn’t feel like dealing with at the moment, so he pushed it out of his mind for the time being.

The smile on Imhotep's face was visible as the faintest pull at the corner of his mouth when Promethei suddenly marched off ahead.

"Likely. The others have already started." Imhotep followed. "You're the scout. Got any clue?" Boy scouts learned tracking skills or something.

Ah, this was more his speed.

Despite not being much of a hunter- having never hunted at all, actually- Antisana had grown to enjoy the outdoors more than he ever had before he’d been a page. He had been a very dedicated homebody; anything he needed could be found in the comfort of his own abode. But it was hardly… safe there for any length of time, anymore. If he was going to preserve the sanctity of his private space, he couldn’t spend that much time in it.

Still.

Currently.

As in, an ongoing problem.

So, he spent as much time on his wonder as he could, and if he couldn’t go there (which he frequently couldn’t), he was better off outside, in the mountainous forests that encompassed Destiny City. Less likely anything would be destroyed. Less likely anyone would be hurt. But there were things to enjoy there, if he looked. And Cybele’s forests had the distinction of being uniquely alien. He was sure he could find something to enjoy here.

Antisana split from the group as they hunted their prey. It would probably be considered rude to stray very far uninvited, but maybe there was no harm in wandering a little, to see what a senshi’s world could grow to become with a Princess at the helm…
