pansit guisado and lumpia! emotion_drool cant exactly just gatekeep them as a holiday meal though because theyre also served during birthdays, fiestas and other get togethers to be honest.

I went to see winter decorative lights at a local botanical garden
It was cold outside. lots of people attended. I had hot cocoa and took lots of photos of the decorations.
surprised they mist have been really pretty and magical. this time of the year places like that i noticed usually go all out

Day 2 - What is your favorite holiday meal?
Turkey with grandma's gravy, mashed potatoes, mom's stuffing, carrots, and sweet potatoes. Maybe cranberry if I'm in the mood. Wash it down with store brand apple juice and finish it off with pumpkin pudding (like pumpkin pie but no crust).

Man, I haven't had lumpia (especially my mom's) in a long time.... I'm going to have to bum the recipe from my mom so I can make it at some point.

Any meal where we manage to get the family around the same table is a triumph. So, Christmas Eve, or Thanksgiving. This year we won't get either, due to other commitments. But we did manage to get Thanksgiving last year, and that was quite nice.
