Cecil listened to the Pastor as he responded to each point that Cecil made, with him being solemn in the listening before he nodded his head at the second to final statement about how overconfidence was a slow and insidious killer.'He's right, I can't go in prepared to take on the world and expect to win, this is a battle of time and pressure, we need to lockdown this town as safe.' Cecil calmly nodded his head as he smiled when he saw the Pastor's gaze meet his own and mentioned on keeping Ridley safe, a firm handshake and Cecil with the map was off as he went to go and see Azura first. He looked to see her vowing to help the child first and then bringing him into the conversation about why they became huntsmen. "Ngh.... um, yeah. The reason we became huntsmen is to help the families and people who can barely help themselves against the Grimm Threat. We're kind of like Superheroes." Cecil told the boy before he heard Azura telling him that Tom could act as a guide, to which Cecil looked to the map he had in his hand. He thought for a moment before he looked to Azura and to the kid. "As much as I would appreciate the help, we can't risk taking you with us. It's a dangerous run out there but we will make sure to stop by your house. Azura will definitely remind me of that." He told the boy himself, but he doesn't know how Azura would react.
When he went to go and see about Adam, he was a bit surprised to hear a No from him before he nodded his head. But then he heard the girl speak as he couldn't help but chuckle. "Guess you're heading the same way as us regardless." He told Adam with a cheeky smile before he looked between the group and nodded his head. "We need to move quickly, it won't be long before more Grimm start to gather."

Azura felt disappointed when Cecil said they couldn't bring the boy with them. She was younger than him when she went out on her first hunt with her Grandpa - albeit with a lot more weapon training. The town seemed quiet, but perhaps Cecil had learned something from the villagers while he was inside. "It looks like I'll have to show you how to shoot when we get back. Will you look after our leader, Ridley, while we are out?" She asked the boy, hoping that giving him a job would lessen the blow of being told he couldn't go with them.
Giving the boy a regretful wave she followed Cecil over to where Adam was speaking to two children. "Gold Digger? Adam what have you been saying to her?!" Azura asked with shock. Marrying rich men for their money was hardly a lesson to be teaching children. Azura nodded when Cecil said they had to get moving. They had already spent too much time at the church. "On the way, we can talk about what you are teaching the children." She said pulling out Crimson Regret."

Adam crossed his arms and nodded as she binds herself to secrecy. He couldn't help but find the girl adorable as she cheered. He accepted the key and placed it deep in his pocket. As he did that, she explained that her house was on the way to the store. Adam looks to Cecil and says, "Yeah. I guess you're right. Bro Trip + Azura!" he pumps. In the back of his head he couldn't escape a certain feeling. The words the girl chose made him slightly uneasy. He shakes it off and tosses her in the air once more just to hear her laugh again. "I'll be back in no time." he repeated before putting her down. Adam knows that keeping the morality of children high is very important for the overall morale for everyone. Leaving behind a legend will give the kids something to talk, romanticize and act out even if it was only a few years is a blessing he wished he had and he can give someone else. He noticed her lean in and, catching the gist, he looked over his shoulder making sure there were no listening ear or prying eyes. She asked if he thought she could become Gold Digger one day. He took and long breath and exhaled. He put his fingers to his chin and thought deeply. "I'm not supposed to do this, but I'll give you a few hints." he said before holding up three fingers and putting them down respectively. "You live your life in a way that helps you and others. Next, be kind, but not soft. Bend, but don't break. Lastly, train your body and mental health. You do all those things and you'll have a better chance than most. That's all i can say." he winks. He turns to Cecil and Azura hearing the shock in the latter voice. His eyes trail to Crimson Regret as she reaches for it and brandishes it. "I've only been telling her that I will be back in the shake of a lambs tail?" he said trying to keep the secret off Chocolate Thunder and Gold Digger. He looks back tot he young girl and jogs off. "To Miss Pounce-A-Lot!" he shouts as he runs away from the scythe wielder.

Side quest, The Hunter's Son: Denied. Side quest, The Hunter's Supplies: Accepted. Tom would be disappointed he could not join and prove himself by helping them out/getting a gun, his expression going a bit sullen. He had been so close with having convinced Azura but her teammate had shot the idea down in regards to his own involvement. It was a small comfort, at least, that they would bring the gun back at least. At the promise of being taught to shoot when she came back though, Tom perked up a bit and gave a military-like salute. "You have my word, I will guard her with my life," he would say resolutely. Noticing Cecil had a map, he would stop him for a moment and point out his house on it.
Side quest, Missing Kitty: Accepted. The little girl would eat up his words with rapt attention, mouthing the three things she would need to do/be to become Gold Digger. Even if it was only "advice" he was giving her, he could tell by her expression that she was taking it to heart as a way to "shape her life"; as much as a kid her age could at least. At noticing Azura overheard them, a soft oops would be uttered by her that they were overheard. The older lady reacted weirdly in the little girls mind; but, already feeling guilty, she just kept silent for now. She didn't want to fully blow the secret. Hearing his excuse and what he said as he ran off, the little girl giggled and waved at his fleeing form yelling good luck. She would see Cecil with the map though and wave him over to mark where her house was, saying Adam knew what to do once there.
If the trio looked over the map, they would see the rough direction of their objectives (Rough map of Only hope):
Preparations made, and side objectives accepted, team Dark heads out of the church to hopeful looks of the townsfolk and some cheers. Once the trio is outside, with a final wave from Ridley, the doors close behind them as the town folk hunker down till they hopefully return. The team now had a map and objectives to complete before they returned. The closest one, on the way to the others, was Tom's place. It would be up to them if they wanted to go to it before the other places, or on the way back. Or what building they wanted to go to first in general. For now, whatever their first choice was, they saw no Grimm. The streets were eerily quiet and empty; almost lifeless now. They could see ruined buildings, broken down doors, blood, and all manner of furniture/clothing on the streets. While things had looked fresh at the gate by the church, this damage seemed a bit older. The town clearly had been pushed and attacked by Grimm often it seemed. For those particularly perceptive, they may notice a teddy bear sticking out of a collapsed building. If they went close to it, they would notice a small lifeless hand still gripping it even in death. The further they traveled away from the church, the less the destruction seemed to get. But it was apparent why the townsfolk were holed up there; the Church seemed the most structurally sound and fortifiable building, given what they saw of the ones near it, and they probably fled there early on. The Grimm had no interest in pointless destruction if there wasn't human or faunus to be had of it. Another thing they could clearly tell is that there were a lot of buildings relative to how many people were in the church; either they all weren't in it, or the Grimm had decimated a large number of the townsfolk already. Depending on the location they went to, Azura may have a premonition of danger; they type of premonition depending on the location as well.
[Feel free to roleplay up to approaching the building you desire to enter. Do not enter it though]

Cecil could see the disappointment on Azura's face, but he didn't want to risk a kid getting hurt while they were away, especially if they were ambushed. But he listened to Azura as she cheered the boy up before he gave a Military salute. That eased Cecil's nerves a bit as the boy came over and pointed out on the map where the house was to find the gun. Cecil looked to him and nodded before he began to pat him on the back. "If Azura promised it, then all of team DARK will ensure that the gun is brought here. Be careful and try to keep the volume down here." Cecil told the boy who went on their way before they moved over to Adam. He shook his head as he chuckled a bit from Adam's comment of a bro-trip. "If it takes us having to go on dangerous missions to have a bro-trip, I certainly don't want to know what it will take for a Bachelor's party." He joked with a smile before Azura brandished her Scythe. Cecil himself braced his Reiterpallasch as he begins to run with Adam and Azura. "Keep sound to a minimum, talk amongst ourselves and use the scrolls to send texts or recorded messages." He told them both as they kept on the move.
The town was quiet, save for their footsteps which produced little sound compared to if they revved through with their cycles. The runs slowed to a walk as Cecil looked about and was remembering the locations from the map. "Hm... we're approaching Tom's home, if we're going to get his Gun I would recommend I to carry it back. But if we're going to hit all the stops I highly have to recommend we make it to the Wagoneer's area first. It's possible they have a Handcart or a horse and wagon there left to help us procure more supplies to make traps around the building. With Ridley there, she can at least keep Morale high while we set up a safety perimeter." Cecil told the two, keeping his voice low for them to hear.

Adam walked with his arms behind his head, but gauntlets at the ready. Walking among the blood and destruction keeping his eyes peeled he notices a teddy bear in rubble. He's no stranger to death, but the small hand still gripping the toy for safety made him sad for only an instant before shutting it down. No need attracting the wrong type of attention. Keeping his voice quiet (for once) he mentions how the village is looking more and more pristine in presentation. Aside from the apparent evidence of a Grimm attack it doesn't look like a bad spot to settle down. With the smell of blood behind them the clean air was a very welcome experience. Adam looked to Cecil and whispered after taking a small glance at the map. "So we're going to the furthest point and working our way back? Sounds good to me." he said keeping his stride. "I just want to request that Azura should carry the cat. She seems like a cat person." he smiled.
Azura hoped they would get back in time before more Grimm showed up. "See you soon," She told Tom, gave Ridley a parting wave, and followed Cecil and Adam away from the church. "For some reason I picture a fighting ring being involved in any bachelor party with you two." Cecil was always sparing and Adam would enthusiastically join any activity. Unless pineapples were involved. As they got further away, Azura took her usual position at the rear, watching behind them for signs of Grimm. The town was eerily still as they moved amongst the destruction. Her blue eyes passed over bloodstains and torn bits of clothing. Shoes whose owners had been dragged off by the creatures of the dark. She paused as her eyes fell on a teddy bear sitting in the rubble of a partially collapsed building, a small hand gripping one of its legs. Blinking back tears she rushed to catch up to the other two. "Why didn't they move to the city like everyone else?" She asked softly.
All seemed quiet as they approached Tom's house, but Cecil wanted to keep going. "Alright, to the Wagoneer's." Azura agreed. She blinked in surprise when Adam volunteered her to carry the cat. "I suppose I could put it in my backpack..." Holding a cat during a Grimm attack sounded like a good way to lose skin, and not from the Grimm.

(Rough map of Only hope):
As three members of team Dark continued through the town, all seemed to be silent for now. No immediate threats registered for any of them as they travelled though some destruction still remain here and there. One thing they would note was that it almost seemed to quiet; they did not hear much in the way of animal life in town, and with all known survivors in the church, there was no life to these streets. Azura would be the only one to notice a few black dots in the sky; while far away, she could tell it was a flock of some Grimm in the air. What Grimm specifically she was not entirely sure though. For now, they did not seem to be coming closer at the very least. Once team Dark had made it to the road the wagoneer shop was on, they would see a bit more destruction now. Where it had been waning in number, now they could see a lot more blood on the main road. Buildings had huge holes in them, furniture and other day to day items were scattered on the floor into the streets, and the smell of blood was very strong in the air. They could see the other gate of town, partially open, and the carnage seeming to be worse over there. If one were to put the pieces together, it would seem as during one of the earlier attacks Grimm had breached through that gate and wrought havoc for the people.
At this time, all members of the team would notice a large and gated off mansion directly across the street too; it was the one where Adam had been told to retrieve a kitty from. The gates seemed closed shut, but through the bars some destruction and blood could be seen at the mansion itself. They would need to find a way past the gate later on when they went to get the feline. While they had to key to Miss Pounce-A-Lots room, the gate was a different story. As they traveled down the main rood to the wagoneers shop, the silence seemed as if things were holding their breath for something to go wrong. The journey from the church to here had seemed to easy and simple; there had been no conflict as of yet. But that was how things would remain as all members of the team would find themselves in front of the wagoneers shop. While only a one floor building, it seemed to have a high ceiling as it towered up above them. There was a large set of double doors that seemed locked from the inside when tried. All that was left was the main entrance; a regular store door that had a few wooden steps leading up to it, though wooden, that seemed to have seen better days as it was barely hanging on the hinges. The store itself did not seem as damaged as the other buildings, but there was still some here and there. A window that stood well above ground level was broken with glass shards hazardously littering the ground. A few wooden rocking chairs, at least what could be presumed as such, were smashed along the porch of the building. The only other possible way, at a glance, into the building was perhaps a stables connected to it. The doors to it were closed, but if someone tried it they find it would open an inch before stopping; as if it were blocked by something from the other side. It could potentially be forced open, but that would make a lot of noise. [Do not go past pushing either door open]

Cecil nodded his head as Adam made the quickest suggestion while they were walking. He soon heard Azura's soft voice as he walked before he spoke back quietly. "Some people have a hard set way of living, like the Amish found in the literature. Tradition is just hard to break and sometimes it is the only way they can live and prosper. A town like this, a home for the forlorn and wanting, they had the means to survive without a lot of the things beacon has to offer but Town Defense was the downside." He whispered to Azura, patting her back gently as later she then agreed to the Wagoneer's place, causing him to smile as the talk of Azura carrying the cat came and went with Azura saying she'd carry the cat.
The further they walked from the church over to the wagoneer's area, the more Cecil could see the carnage of what happened by the eastern gate of the town. But at the more immediate location, they were passing by the small manor with the gates and bars clearly damaged. They proceeded past it over to the Wagoneer's shop as he looked about and examined the building firsthand. As he moved about, he made sure to send texts to the teammates about what was going on with the doors, the windows, and surely enough the possibility of a way in via the stables. Once Cecil returned from testing the stables door, he closed his eyes, his hand on his chin before he spoke. "If we go in via the window, the glass we could be stepping on could crack and make more noise while possibly cutting our feet, even if we used aura the noise would attract attention. The Stable's door is being blocked by something, a quick barricade possibly from having stuff moved to keep it there... breaking the door down would make more noise than the glass and attract attention from further away, or we could just go in through the main door of the Wagoneer's shop and pray the doors don't fall off their hinges and make more noise. What say you both?" Cecil asked of Adam and Azura.

'Was it worth it?' She wanted to ask, 'the lives lost, the children who had no choice killed? At the very least they should have properly prepared for an attack.' But Azura knew this wasn't the time or place. They needed to focus on the mission, and it wasn't as if they could change what had happened anyway. So instead she gave Cecil a nod and went back to scanning their surroundings for signs of movement. After a short while, Azura quickened her pace to fall in line with Cecil and Adam. Then she pointed to the sky indicating towards the black dots far away and mouthed the word "Grimm". They weren't a threat at the moment, but a loud noise like a gunshot would certainly attract them.
Azura stood lookout, while Cecil looked for a way into the Wagoneer's shop. Everything was still though, not even the calls of birds to fill the air. So looked back up at the sky to check on the Grimm she had spotted earlier, trying to determine if they really weren't coming closer. Would they have time for all 3 stops? "Trying to break down the barricade appears to be the worst option in noise, effort and time. We could lay one or both of your jackets over the glass to muffle the sound and protect our feet. I did pack a tarp, but I don't think it would do as good of a job. Or we could try the door. Adam could open it and be prepared to pick it up if it does come off the hinges." She said, keeping her voice low. "The door would be fastest, but carries the risk of Adam dropping it." Whichever they chose, they would need to do it quickly.

"Azura, you can't be spoiling the bachelor party like that. There may or may not be a tournament style, hand-to-hand clash party game that may or may not involve some up close and personal activities." he said confirming there would be fighting without saying there would be fighting. Adam wondered if Ridley was ok and if the children were driving her crazy. Or if she was driving them crazy. The latter made him chuckle silently. Bringing his attention back to Azura and Cecil he says, "I know plenty of people from my hood who'd die fighting for it. They'd die before some overgrown pissed off dog runs them out of their house." he quietly explains with pride. He keeps his wits about him as she mentioned that there were flying Grimm. He wouldn't worry about it until their keen-eyed partner told them to. Approaching their goal they began to communicate through texts. Smart. It took everything he had not to laugh. Of course Azura packed a tarp. Who would think to pack one except her? "If we're going to make noise no matter what then let's just get ready to fight. I'm all for the going the stealth route with our jackets, but we gotta decide fast." he texts. He shot an embarrassed look to Azura before texting, "I won't drop it this time! Gosh, a man drops a door one time and can't live it down." He takes mulls over a thought in his head before texting for the last time, "We should be ready. This may not be a barricade, but a dead body against the door."

Cecil nodded his head to both of them as after having done the investigating himself, he closed his eyes and rubbed his chin slightly. He began to think, 'I have faith in Adam so long as he doesn't have oil or butter on his fingers, but Adam is right, prepared to fight incase we make a sound would be the best course of action'. He would then turn to face Adam and Azura as he gestured with his head quietly to the front door. He then pointed his finger to Adam before he quickly typed up a text for the two. *Adam will be the one to open the door, Azura you cover our back with the sniper and I'll prepare for an attack from the inside if an enemy is there. My ice should have had time to restore itself since my usage earlier today so I should be ready to go. Adam, I trust you to keep a firm grip of the door and if we're attacked, you have all the rights to jam that door into the first Grimm's mouth that opens up to try and swallow you. Pretty sure it'll protect you from their bad breath.* With the texts sent, Cecil allowed his aura to come up quietly as he took a small breath and moved with his group to the front door. When Adam would reach out for it, Cecil would brace himself for a weapon just in case as he waited for Adam to open the door. He could trust Azura covering their backs since her rifle gives her the most amount of range to fire from and so long as she wasn't attacking the door, her scythe has the space it needs to swing and cleave.

'Azura held in a laugh at the image of Adam shoving the door into an Ursa's mouth as it tried to swallow him. Tucking her scroll away, she gave the other too a salute, ackolowgding her agreement with the plan. Adam took off his jacket and tied it around his waist. Leaving him in his black sleeveless second-skin top. He rolled his shoulders and cracked his neck loosening himself up. He approaches the door and reaches for it. He pulls back and wipes his hand on his shirt. "Heh, sorry. Butter." he says nearly telepathically. He goes for the door again securing it in both hands. He takes a deep breath and slowly lifts it as quietly as possible. "Being destructive and loud is so much easier!" he thinks. Being stealthy adds a bit of mental stress he doesn't like. Especially when one sound could send Grimm barreling towards him and his team. Adam adjust his footing and gets a better and even more secure grip. He bends his knees and places his right hand on the upper right side of the door and his left on the middle left side. With a calming breath he begins to pull slowly and tries to be as careful and quiet as possible. He slowly increases his strength output until he pulls the door off the hinges. "C'mon! C'mon! C'mon!" he thinks.
