Grimsly’s muscles finaly relaxed as Xylvester left them alone, he was not ready to see that person again… at least not right now. His covered eye stopped smoking and his cane pressed the ground once again as he looked backwards when she gave him the word Netami. He could only guess that was her name or at least that’s what he thought “Netami… that’s a lovely name. unfortunately I don’t know much about the contract but I’m guessing we both are waiting for the same one but… that guy Xylvester is not him, he is part of a group of bandits that kidnap Faunus and trade them with other humans, they did the same to me as many others but… instead of trading me to others they threw me to the river to die because they realized I was not a Faunus. All of those people that just came in are bad news. we should get out, if he came to you because of the fact you are an arctic fox than those guys will do the same” the entire time his voice was calm though inside he was fuming in anger but he had to stay calm in this situation, one wrong step and they will be in great pain, though he simply chuckled “I doubt the flower leech’s life” with a small smile he brought his hand forward, offering to help her get up before they will slowly make their escape.

Blair or Aphrodite, as she was most often referred to as in the villain community (never as Blair though, but she had a few other aliases), sat in silence from a far corner. She was observing those Hades had summoned while they arrived. She knew he was late, it was his typical move, but she had made sure to arrive well before the others. Having picked a place they could not easily spot her, all thanks to a large plant not far from her table, her eyes watched them from in between the foliage.

The first was a girl, a Faunus, another a human male, and then a third one came with obnoxious pinkish hair. Despite his flirtatious advances on the Faunus fox she knew he was not up for just having a fun time. Something about his body language gave her the wrong vibe, or maybe that was just her pessimism in play. She always expected the worst out of people, especially such characters.

Since she had no intention of having anyone in the bar realize she was the Librarian at Beacon, she had dawned on her aliases mask, a carefully decorated metal mask that resembled a dove's beak, which also contained golden-white feathers that fell down past her waist if she were standing, but it made it seem as if it was her actual hair. Was she a Faunus? Was she a human? It would be difficult to tell, and even if they were to guess she was a Faunus correctly, it would be difficult to tell which kind. She was considerably glad that she only had a small tail, it was easy to hide when necessary such as this moment here.

Taking the last sip of her drink she watched as the pink-haired creep slowly left. Perhaps it was time for her to make herself known? Slowly she would raise from her seat, but she would stop before taking a step, something was in the air. Something was brewing. Was this something Hades had planned without telling her? Or was it something else?

Aphrodite decided to stay where she was, ready to act if need be. She wanted to see what the other two would do.

There was going to be no escaping. The sound of the door locking would echo throughout the tin rabbit parlor. Looking at the bartender, one of the bandits received a shot and would take it with glee. The bartender seemed to be in a bad situation. Unable to grab his weapon from underneath the counter. Trouble was definitely brewing. 78 of them had poured into the Tin Rabbit in the short manner of time. Even if Grimsly was able to get Neta to agree to leave they had nowhere to go. It was the first time the bandits committed to trying to get a faunus in the open. Desperation from a Xylvester. Of course, Netami wasn't the only faunus in the area. There were others enjoying their drinks and snacks that were chilling as well. One went unnoticed which was Aphrodite. The bandits would start to scatter throughout the tin rabbit. If you was a faunus, you was getting picked up and kidnapped. They would slowly make his way towards Neta and Grimly. They had a few moments before they would be treated with the presence of a bandit. There was only a few options here. At the booth before Neta and grimly, the snake faunus would end up not wanting to go with them. The bandit would spit on her and smack her in the face, knocking her back a little before shooting her with his pistol. The sound of aura breaking echoing through the establishment. She wans't dead. No, but she was like a certain pine near end of Volume 7. "HEY. GO GET THE ONE XYLVY TALKED ABOUT~!!" the leader of the group near the bartender would yell. With this, Netami was now the target. Seeing all of this what would the pair do and will Aphrodite grace them with her help?

Kidnap faunus? Netami's tail twitched slightly at the news. She was far too uncaring of outside problems like that to have known the reason humans sold faunus to others. It didn't sound good however way you sliced it, and Netami took a deep breath as she tried to figure out if the countless people entering the club were a part of that same pack. Grimsly continued his tale, telling Netami of his own mistreatment at the hands of the bandits. It's not that Netami didn't care, but he was obviously fine now, why would he tell her of his past so early into their meeting? Shouldn't allies get to know each other, she challenged herself. You should tell him how you let your mother die and- The thought was shut down, and Netami zoomed in on the hand that was extended to her. He didn't have any information on the flower, despite being in the bandit's clutches before, and the worry was still planted within Netami's mind. Was it to show ownership of everyone that had walked in? Or was it something more sinister? She needed more information and she shook her head towards Grimsly. Netami needed to stay, and she could protect herself if need be.

Her ears pricked at the sound of the locking mechanism to the front door. Orange-red eyes slithered to the bartender who served up a shot to the bandit, choosing his side boldly for all to see. The club was by no means small, but with several dozen bandits filling every crevice sure made it seem that way. There was no reason for Netami to leave the current situation just yet, and she did not flinch when the snake faunus in front of them was shot point blank. She couldn't pull Grimsly through her portal, and if he saw that she had left him, discouragement might make him easy prey. No, Neta looked coldly toward the proverbial leader of the charade by the bar, his orders grating against her ears like sandpaper. She should probably kill that one, she decided, before her stare turned toward the one coming nearer. She would have to be scraping up her bots, she just knew it.

"Combat protocol," she said lowly. The robot on her left quickly dropped to all fours like a spider, its head skidding against the table as it launched from under it, grabbing the pistol wielding bandit that had just shot the faunus and raising in stature. The tall robot kept its tight grip on the man's throat before its other metallic hand curled into a fist and punched the man once, twice, three times square in the chest. The bandit's aura broke by the second punch. Dropping back to all fours, the robot dragged the man across the ground quickly, raising slightly to throw him into several other of his ilk. It moved underneath a table, keeping its body flushed and away from prying eyes to stave off any bullets in its general direction. They were just tables, however, and Netami didn't think it would save it if all of them opened fire on it. No, that was why the other Herja was slowly making its way to the bandit leader from the countless chandeliers that littered the ceiling. While everyone's attention was on the robot on the floor, her second would soon swoop down and eviscerate the unsuspecting fool if Grimsly could not help defend. So was Netami's disinterest in humanity and the ethics of which she should have understood.

She looked squarely at the rest of the members, whether they would be awestruck or furiously uncaring, and said, "The faunus stay here."

This was not looking good, even if they did plan on escaping before it was no longer an option as the bandits filled up the room more and more and the worst part is they started acting, attacking any Faunus they come by and kidnaping any one they see before noticing them coming towards them as Netami prepared to fight “combat protocol it is then, I am going to need both eyes for this” he said as he took off his eyepatch and stuffed it in his jacket, ironically enough the eye that is mostly covered by the eyepatch sees much better than the one he mostly shows, Corvid’s Beak’s handle straightened up as the crimson red eye locked on three of the bandits. As one of Netami’s robots seem to get all the attention to itself Grimsly used that opportunity to sprint towards the three bandits before front flipping and landing a bicycle kick from above on the unsuspecting bandit with a force strong enough to knock him out cold, the right bandit finaly noticed as he pulled a knife on Grimsly and tried stabbing him in the chest, only to have Grimsly lock his dark eye’s gaze on the bandit and parried the attack right into the bandit on his left before smacking his cane on both of their heads full force. Grimsly stood still after that with a smile, it has been a while since he could just beat up a group of people without feeling any remorse for them “the Faunus are staying here, while you better leave before things get uglier” he said calmly in response to Netami, Grimsly does not wish anyone to have the same fate he had with those damn bandits.

"THERE KIDS JUST GET WEIRDER AND WEIRDER!" one yelled as s**t started to hit the fan. There was no way these kids were doing this. No way they had actual combat experience! Confused about the situation and now without a leader for this attack, they were wondering what to do. Continue or leave? They would choose to continue. Xylvester was still alive. Even though he didn't come with them for this raid. They had to continue. What other choices they had? Nothing. An uproar would start to occur though. "What is a tiger doing here?" One would yell before being taken out like a ragdoll. The tiger was outfitted in a more shogun type of armor. It looked like something off of a fantasy game. The normal black and red coat were changed to black and gold. A ferocious growl would be their only warning. More defendants were there. Now becoming more helpless, the bandits would start to change their tune. Maybe running was fine . Xylvester be damned. This only greatly increased as fire dust infused air blast would smack into the doorway taking out a good dozen and making their aura break. Now having this newcomer there, a tiger, a short Faunus with murder robots, and a crippled who can move better than people with regular two feet, it was time for them to see the writing on the wall. Those that could dart away. Those that couldn't just stayed knocked out or dead. The tiger that came in would approach the two that helped defend the tavern. It would sniff Grimsly before trying to sniff Netami as well. Netami though, the tiger might have started to try nibble on Netami a little. Would they attack or would they see the tiger and the man as a friendly person. While the tiger did its thing, the man would go over to the bartender to get him a drink. Blair was going to do the paper work for this but Hades decided to show up early. Good thing he did.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Kuro Lat ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

It would appear that Kuro arrived to the party a little bit late as there were bodies littered throughout the parlor, some merely passed out and some were dead. “Filthy,” Kuro clicked his tongue moving a body aside with his cane and stepping over another. He surveyed the area to see who was left within the area. There were not many but one face in particular stood out to him, ‘Now there is a face I have not seen in awhile.’ Kuro noticed Netami who was currently… nibbling on the ear of a tiger? “Peculiar,” He supposed that perhaps there would always be those with some kinks in the gene pool; however, she was still a precious member of the Freikkre Tribe. “Fancy seeing you here,” Kuro approached looking toward her companion, as well as the tiger. “U-Ugh,” The extravagant young man outwardly expressed his disgust at the wild animal. He crinkled up his face in revulsion. The tiger was also rather cumbersome; however he could remain tactful for the time being. “Is this peasant a pet project,” Kuro was obviously referring to Grimsly but speaking to Netami. While his behavior might seem a bit off-putting, the young man was merely making distracting conversation while surveying the area. There were not many people left within the confines of the tavern. ‘Hmm,’ there was somebody on the floor with enough strength left to move? With the downward sweeping motion of his arm, a pike formed from a nearby chair striking the person at the base of their spine. It was unlikely they would be alive and if they were, the person would certainly be unable to move for the rest of their life.

During this time, Kuro was able to ascertain that the man whom he was intended to meet was the one standing at the bar having a drink – the contact. “Hm, I could use a drink myself,” Kuro walked to the bar showing he was good for the Lien. He glanced back to determine how the others would respond before sitting on a nearby stool leaning back on the countertop, crossing his left leg over his right. The man was wearing his idea of business casual, which was realistically straight business with a side of regal. Purple was the color of royalty after all. Taking the drink from the bartender, Kuro would drink in a refined manner and continue to quietly watch waiting for someone to make the first move.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Netami's dull expression didn't change as Grimsly echoed her. She watched, slightly bemused, as he took off his eyepatch and she saw a smoldering red eye set apart by a black sclera. He utilized Herja's attention to his own benefit, shooting forward with precision Netami didn't think he possessed. Could he only hold onto such efficiency if his eye was bared? Why not always have it uncovered then, Netami thought quizzically. Grimsly leapt into a bicycle kick, knocking a bandit down with ease, before his eye possibly overtook another. Netami didn't have a good vantage point to understand exactly how Grimsly's eye worked, and thus his knife parry into the heart of the third bandit went mostly unnoticed. Instead of walking with his cane, Grimsly used it as a makeshift weapon, bonking it onto both bandits' heads, and knocking them to the ground. One unconscious, the other quite dead. So he was a killer, Netami thought as Grimsly straightened. He repeated her resolve with his own, and waited patiently to see if the bandits would continue their assault.

"Oh," Neta breathed as she looked back to the bar. The bandits seemed to be in disarray by their skills, and she supposed it had something to do with the other twin standing at full height with blood dripping from its sharp talons. She could connect with them by the grain in the back of her ear, but by no means did they require her for their movements. The twin must have taken it upon itself to swoop from the ceiling like a bird of prey, using its strong legs and gravity to eviscerate the bandit leader while her mind was occupied. Not that she minded, she would have given the order if the bandits hadn't backed down, and it seemed to shake the body of bandits. Not enough to sway their attempt, however.

Her reddish-orange eyes turned as someone yelled about a tiger. A body went flying, and clangs of armor cascaded into the air like a melody. Netami tried to elongate her small body to see more of the blast that rocked the doorway, burning more bandits and filling the air with desperation. They practically trampled each other as they ran, leaving their dead where they lay, and giving up on the unconscious that littered the floor. She returned the bots to their standby position, their long claws shortening to regular looking nails, and they returned to their normal positions. The Herja that murdered the leader grabbed a cocktail napkin from the bar, wiping the blood that dripped from its fingers clean. Crumpling it after it was done, the twin dropped it onto the dead body and helped Netami out of her seat on the booth. Netami bowed her head in a show of thankfulness to the bot, before watching a golden and black tiger that had solidified their victory approach. It sniffed Grimsly before coming to her, nibbling at the slight bulge in her oversized coat. Making a sound between a giggle and a grunt, Netami patted the tiger on the head, wriggling her fingers underneath the armor, before beginning to nibble on its ear. When in Rome, after all!

She continued her antics with the tiger, moving both hands to scratch the sides of its face, as another person entered the establishment. Another artic fox here, Netami thought, straightening but continuing to scratch the tiger. He seemed disinterested in the bodies, but it was unlikely he was the one that saved them. Kuro liked pets, but he would never keep a tiger, and he certainly wouldn't put it in armor without their tribes' crest on it. Netami moved her head to the side as Kuro approached, he acknowledging her presence. Kuro had talked her ear off for hours when she was still within the tribe as she built in secret. He was a good person, simply trying to be what the tribe wanted of him, just as Netami was trying the same. He just went about it differently... His disgusted noise toward the tiger confirmed that it was not his, and the dismissal of Grimsly verified that he was not their savior. He just so happened to be passing by. "You're not dead," she said, a large compliment from her. She hadn't seen Kuro in several years, and any word from her, he would know, was a high compliment. She looked to Grimsly and nodded. "Grimsly's ability intrigues me. It requires more studying."

Full sentences?! It was as if Netami's entire persona changed when greeted by a member of her own tribe, especially the prince of one. Was it because of their years of trust and companionship with each other?

She watched as Kuro moved away, killing a bandit that could not defend himself as he went to the bar. Netami truly wanted something to eat, and she gestured for Grimsly and the tiger to follow her. The Herja Twins followed a few steps behind Netami as she sat next to Kuro at the bar, leaving room for Grimsly to sit on the opposite side of her, furthest away from the purple-clad fox. She ordered a drink, whether the bartender would give it to her was circumstantial, and ordered a hot bowl of stew. "Are you meeting someone too?"

So it seems the bandits decided to flee, it seemed like the smartest thing to do after an armored tiger shows up and starts attacking them, Grimsly would chuckle to himself as the tiger stopped attacking and came over to him only to sniff him and go towards Netami, he would have petted him if he stayed for more than those a few seconds “who knew, a group of bandits being bested by simply a human, a Faunus and a tiger. And here I thought they would be more challenging than that” he would say with a smile before another person came in ‘another arctic fox? And here I thought it was rare seeing them in Vale’ Grimsly rested himself on his cane before he was being called both a peasant and a pet project “excuse me?” he would ask with a very confused tone, he simply tilted his head and clinched his right eye ’such superiority complex…’ he would shake his head before hearing Netami’s remark towards him “and by the looks of it you’ll have plenty of time to study them” he said as he wore his eyepatch back on, it felt weird walking without it at this point.
The same arctic fox that called him a peasant earlier took a seat and ordered a drink, only for Netami to follow next to him and gestured at him to come to join as she as well ordered something to drink and some food, but before Grimsly joined in he looked at the man that came in with the tiger “am I the only one that will acknowledge this guy?” he said with a smirk “I guess you are the one we were waiting for am I right? If not, you either would tell your tiger to attack us as well or just glance away” Grimsly then finally took the sit Netami wanted him to sit in “I’ll have some breadsticks if you may”

Would visiting the Tin Rabbit every be a quiet one? Such a thought would have crossed Aphrodite’s mind were she a different sort of person, but she lived off of this chaos. For a moment she had worried that meeting these acolytes of their’s would be nothing short of dealing with boring children, however it seemed fate knew to throw something their way. Bandits, and not just any group, faunus hunters. The only reason this was of any concern to her was the fact she herself was a faunus. She cared not for the “race war” over who was better, she only cared for her own safety, and if that meant having to kill a few faunus haters she would do so gladly. At this particular point she needed to make sure Hades’ precious followers were not going to end up snatch, but that didn’t mean she had to engage right away or directly. If they were going to be with them, they needed to earn it, needed to deserve it. Aphrodite was curious what they would do in such a situation.

In the shadows of the club she swiftly dealt with a handful of bandits all while seeing the others reactions to it all. Robots? Now that was surely useful. They all presented interesting skill sets. Perhaps she was too harsh on his tastes at times?

Sadly the fun would be cut short with Hades and Cereby’s arrival, both in their own disguises. As expected he was swift to make his way for a drink letting the others come to him if they realized who he was. Guess it was time to get things started.

Step by step she emerged from her area in the club slowly approaching the group, her eyes unwavering in their attention at the group as she neared, the only sound coming from her was the light taps of her heels on the floor. Was she a friend? Was she a foe? Why would someone with harmless intentions hide behind a mask? Without a word, she strut past them sitting next to Kuro. ” Tab’s on me,” she finally said speaking towards the bartender who swiftly slid a shot glass into her hand. Spinning in her stool she leaned an elbow against the counter as her other hand held her drink.

”So this is the sad lot I have to babysit?”

While she spoke openly to them all, he knew her question was meant for him.

”Good to know a bandit army emerging out of nowhere didn’t send ya weeping in fear.”

  • Hades would hear her question but was already surrounded by the rugrats. “Think of it as training. Their like our kids. Except...probably more murderous. I aint expect such dangerous contacts. Especially from the cripple” Hades commented while thinking about the lien he had scene. He didn't even think about the fact two of them seem to be foxes of some kind. He wasn't worried about Cereby. In fact, Netami biting her was probably the best time she had in a while. She get to play fight and play rough. Not many people enjoyed such a thing. Maybe it came down to animalistic instincts. To him, he didn't quite understand it fully. He just knew of it in theory. The gang was all there and the place was empty. He did have to correct something because he didn't know all of what Blair knew. “We got burned. That's why business been stagnant. I would take care the issue myself but I don't know where HE is hiding.” he started before turning around and sitting on the bar top. Well, mainly just leaning on it more than sitting do to his height. Looking at the two faunus and the male before him, he matched each one to their motivation. “That bandit army wasn't spontaneous that's for sure. In fact, its quite strange they would be here let alone attack. I think they had extra motivation especially. Which means somethings wrong. I going to need you take care of that darling. After we finish here. Considering how everything went down... I assume it was the chick from the other night” He informed. There was a chick there the other night who was entirely new to the place and she didn't buy food. She didn't buy drinks. She just sat there. She was the mole. Seems their old supplier didn't just want to stop them from eating but wanted to get them out of the business of growing. If he wanted them dead, he would of sent better people....or would he?

Looking at Grimsly and his condition, he was unsure whether he be a good fit. He knew how to fight despite set backs. “I wish I could give you the full rundown of how this is going to work but its quite simple. I give you a job to do. Job gets done and you are compensated. Cross me, and I leave you in a ditch. I'm unsure if you are students or not but the fact remains you going to need disguises. You will always wear them on missions unless....specifically told otherwise. If you got to kill to keep your identity so be it” He started before finishing his drink. “Not only will you become strong and wealthy out of all of this, you will have all the lien you can stand and independence, you will have technology to look over and create for days, and...revenge on any bastards that have crossed you in the past. Now if that's fine with you and you are ready to work for EOC. My partner here will get your contact information and add it to her scroll. Once that's done, you will be recognized as EOC affiliation ...and be given your first job......You are ready for your first job right?” he stated before leading to his question. He wanted to make they weren't moving too fast. At the same time, the longer they waited the longer they didn't get compensation. He would feel Cereby finally head up to join them. What took her so long? Cereby was acting like a little slut. She thought the attention was going to last forever but when the Artic fox never came back and left her robots, the tiger just waited and waited and waited until finally giving up. “Good girl~ This is Karen. And no she will not speak to your manager” Hades joked. Cereby looked unhappy for her nickname to be Karen and it showed how she bit his ankle.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Kuro Lat ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

“I am most certainly not dead,” Kuro acted offended putting a hand to his chest. He was aware of how much time had passed but honestly, he did not spend all that time training as the future tribal leader to die like some lowly, country bumpkin. He eyed the presumably battle-rated robots which were within the confines of the tavern. They certainly must have belonged to Netami; he had witnessed her work once long before in times past. “Humph,” Kuro ignored Grimsly’s comment and tone of voice. ‘Reprehensible,’ he looked at the human with a sadistic smile. Once Netami sunk her teeth into something, she was unlikely to let go until it had been observed under needle and microscope. “Good luck, peasant. You are going to need it.”

Kuro let the conversation die there while walking away. When Netami joined him at the counter, she asked a rather curious question. He raised an eyebrow wondering whether or not the girl was serious. She was usually so astute with her beautifully intense, scientific brain running circles around even his own. Of course, Kuro did have much more experience when dealing with social circles and political affiliations. In his future job, there was a more prevalent need for diplomacy and discretion. Instead of answering verbally, he subtly motioned towards the man at the counter whom he was sitting near. He raised his eyebrows while a playful smirk played on his features. Kuro sighed his good mood spoiled so quickly the moment words left Grimsly’s mouth, “Some of us were trying to be tactful, you absolute boor.” Fortunately for the young man, Kuro was quite easily distracted. “Oh,” his ears perked up at a sound he was all too familiar with. An independent woman in heels was always a pleasure~ ruling the room. Friend or foe, it did not matter to him. After all, he was known for being quite the smooth talker. “He-llo and you are,” Kuro pretended to swoon recovering that zest for life. “I can tell just by looking at you – absolutely stunning and independent. The best kind,” he watched intently her movements. “You can sit on me anytime,” Kuro mumbled under his breath leaning back in a similar manner. There had been some sort of slight; however, he chose to ignore it for the time being. Of course, the response from the fellow at the bar told him everything that Kuro needed to know. They were an item? But happily, that remained to be seen. He finished his drink setting it on the counter. The timing could not have been more ideal. In fact, he would likely need another round to deal with what was coming next. ‘Serious talk? How dreadfully boring,’ Kuro narrowed his gaze listening intently, despite his overwhelming desire to do otherwise. The arrangement sounded simple enough, there was certainly enough motivation provided. ‘A disguise,’ he looked towards the gorgeous companion who had been wearing mysterious attire, ‘that explains that.’ It was not really his style, but he would have to figure it out. He could understand the need and desire for anonymity. Perhaps, something regal – a symbol of royalty? He would have to consult his books at a future date. “Say no more~,” Kuro said flirtatiously pulling out his own scroll. “I am also available for personal calls as well.” He winked before continuing, “Only for someone divine as you of course.”

This man was so obsessed with work. Honestly, it was a complete killjoy. “Ah, yes, of course,” Kuro responded to Hades half-heartedly still much more interested in the masked beauty. He let out an exasperated sigh having ruined the ambience but likely this time was more permanent; perhaps it was time to concentrate on work. There would be plenty of time for fun later. “We have met,” Kuro looked down at the creature with disdain. “Unfortunately,” He muttered the last portion inaudibly while watching the tiger bite down on the contact’s ankle. “Tsk,” this is what happens when you play with rabid animals of your own volition, ‘filthy creature.’

Netami nodded at Grimsly before she walked away to the bar, recognizing he didn't take what she said wrongly. At least, that's what it appeared. Studying others was something she enjoyed doing in her past time. Semblances were unique to humanoids, but if Netami could learn to create a false semblance, it would be the pinnacle of her success with robots. She could make an entire army of unique semblance automatons who she could control at a whim. With such an army, she could get her hands on any and all schematics and technology she could dream of. She supposed that was why she was in a currently bloodied bar. She had been looking for a means to expand her proficiency, and her contact simply fit the bill. That was all she needed. She tuned back into the conversation when Kuro spoke. He acted as if he were offended, but Netami knew it was in jest. They spent enough time as children to point out their intricacies and reactions. His was continuing what he was supposed to act like, nothing more. He again called Grimsly a peasant, telling him good luck for being so willing to be Neta's project. He was true at that, Netami thought. She didn't care about organics enough to understand when she had gone too far.

Sitting at the bar, Netami's orbs lowered to a glass full of soda that was placed in front of her by a dubious bartender. She frowned slightly, but it was erased almost immediately after as a bowl of hot stew and complimentary crackers were scooted in front of her. She began to eat, almost allowing a semblance of happiness onto her face, as Grimsly pointed out a man at the opposite side of Kuro. As if secretly, Netami passed Grimsly some of her crackers before turning back toward the man. She hadn't noticed him before, or if she did she didn't think him a threat. She had other things on her mind, like stuffing her face- tactfully- with potatoes, broth, and meat. She barely even noticed when a woman sauntered up behind them and sat beside Kuro. It was a little too crowded for Netami's liking, but it made a good group size. Netami had just finished her stew, chugging down the soda in front of her, before pushing her body outward, her hands on the bar to keep her balance, as she took in the masked woman. She wore red heels and a black dress, but Netami couldn't see any weapons from behind. Sitting properly again, she asked the bartender for more stew and soda, and a water.

She was much like Kuro, Netami decided, as the woman spoke to the proprietor they were all here for instead of them. What she said, however, was not steeped in truth like Kuro would speak on a subject. "We were babysitting you," Netami said. There was no edge to her voice, only a matter of fact. "You're welcome for running the bandits off for you." She spoke to both the man and her, solidifying she was no one's child... anymore. One of the bots' unblinking eyes turned toward the woman, staring at her to search for weaknesses. Netami was able to go back to her second stew as their contact continued to speak. He spoke of being burned by some man, and admitted he didn't know where to find the betrayer. He casually leaned against the bar, pondering over his misfortune. Netami finished half of her stew, the spoon stopping before her lips, and said, "Xylvester said you could not get a dog walking mission, but he was desperate to kidnap faunus in the open where he knew you frequented. It was simple opportunity that it was us, but he targeted us after to slight you."

She continued to eat the rest of her food, turning everything into white noise as Kuro continued to flirt. Netami melted down onto the bar after pushing away her bowl, practically curling into the crook of her arms. She was completely satisfied. Netami found herself disinterested while her contact spoke, relenting he would leave them in a ditch if they crossed him. If he rewarded them amply, there was no reason to betray him, that was just logical. It would be no one's fault but his own if one of the group found a better keeper, but her thoughts turned to mask wearing. That would make the woman's current attire more understandable, but sparked a question that rattled. "You know our true names and motivations," she began, her eyes on his, flicking to the masked woman, "so what are yours?"

She placed her small hand above Kuro's arm, knowing he didn't like to be touched, but refusing to allow him to sign his life so easily. No, this was the time to be smart. If they wanted to pin something on them, it would be easy with their scroll information and identities. There was no reason to trust them if they didn't all start on the same footing. If they refused, she was gone and she wouldn't stop until she found out who they were. If they complied with the, in Neta's mind, reasonable demand, then she would likewise place her hand back down and allow her scroll to sync data.

Netami scooted off her stool as the tiger joined the party. All animosity seemed to glide off her, smiling lightly as she went to get the tiger's attention. At the yell above her, the Herja Twins flew into action, on standing to the side of the man, while the other raised a hand to Netami's shoulder. A mistake, she told them silently, her heart slowing as the sudden scream died down. She wasn't in danger, it was a misunderstanding, after all. Neta's smile faltered, but she lowered to her knees as her short nails began to scratch the tiger's pelt again. The Twins backed away, standing silently a few steps behind Netami's position again, looking no different than they had before her scare. Tigers could not purr, but Netami began to make a low grumble that could be taken as a comforting sound. It was more for her than the tiger. "Very nice to meet you, Karen," she said, unknowing of the true name of the tiger. She rather hoped the true identities behind those present were revealed, for she did not want to leave the tiger for one more moment.

“of course it wouldn’t, I don’t plan to ever run away from those filths. Would rather die than to give them the satisfaction” Grimsly responded calmly as his breadsticks arrived, he began munching on them one by one like it was a bag of crisps. Though unfortunately that Kuro guy really likes to ruin the mood it seems “how unkind of you Kuro. You remind me the people around my age in my home village, every single one of them talked just like you, yet now they all regret ever doing so. Would you like me to show you why?” Grimsly exclaimed calmly but with a very big smirk as he looked straight into his eyes ’hmph, what a spoiled brat’ Grimsly continued to eat his breadsticks and ordered some extra as Netami talked about xylvester, it made Grimsly shake his head in respond “it’s quite funny honestly, this guy seemed so desperate for something, my guess is his boss is very unpleased with him… so many years passed and he is still a low scum”
The contract’s promised seemed… well, exactly to his liking, almost a bit too much to his liking but he let it go. After all, it was him who out of his own will came here, he was never forced and so far likes the small group he sees in front of him, well… most of the group.
Grimsly let out a small chuckle as Kuro wanted to give his scroll info to them and Netami tried to stop him “I’m pretty sure they don’t need your information to find you, after all, how do you think they came in contact with you? Without a single interaction with us they knew the exact reasons for us to even want to be here, quite impressive if I may say” he said in regards of what was going on, with another munch of his breadsticks he thought to himself ’a disguise huh… this should be interesting’ he then rested his elbows on the table and his head on his hands, he was deep in his thoughts on what kind of disguise should he use and how he shall go on with it.

As she had anticipated it did not take Kuro but a second before he approached her in greeting, but she remained silent, taking a sip from her booze filled glass. Were the situation a different one he would have found her heel dug into his eye socket, but she had to play nice… for now… Fortunately she had years of dealing with Hades to help her gain immunity to all attempts at flirtation. Chances were, she has heard all the remarks one could possibly think of. Luckily she did not have to truly ignore Kuro for long as Hades began to state their business. If Kuro though him to be a stick in the mud… well… Blair was… much worse. Of the two, she was the actual serious one.

Blair had to hold back from rolling her eyes as Hades admitted to not knowing where his former employer was. It wasn't so much that he didn’t know, it was most likely he was too lazy to do the grunt work. Of course there was the small change he had tried and the “other one” was just slightly better at hiding his tracks than Hades originally thought? This was not the time and place to belittle (even if in a friendly manner) her partner's laziness. They needed to show a united front of sorts, or at least to some extent. They were who they were, they were going to throw in jabs here and there, but they also knew when to hold back depending on the situation.

Her gaze focused on that of the female fox before her, who did not seem to take kindly to her babysitting comment, nor Hades’ child remark.

”Oh?” Blair couldn’t help but shift a bit in her seat as she was bluntly told that it was Neta who had done the babysitting. ”I thank you then. Because Bob here needs a sitter 24/7. Good to know you have accepted the job.” A joke? Or was she serious? It was a little of both, though mostly a jest and a slight jab at her partner in crime.

It was reasonable of Neta to wish to know who they were behind their masks and alias’ but Blair was not going to give into her wishes so easily. Leaning against the counter with both elbows, she crossed her right leg over her left as she stared at Netami with a superior air to her. ”My motivations are nothing but simple, it’s what I am good at. I have no deep political, emotional, vendetta type purpose. I do it because I can.” Blair’s words rolled off her tongue with a cold bluntness towards them. This was the truth. Well, mostly the truth. This was everything she pretty much knew. It had been the path she had decided for herself.

”You can refer to me as Aphrodite when handling business. And…” as she spoke she moved a hand to her mask but rather than pull it off her face her fist closed minus her middle finger. ”Now why would I tell you who I am when you can show me just how useful you are by figuring it out on your own. Anyone with the smallest ounce of intelligence can figure it out in time.” Her finger remained in the air for only so long as she tilted her head towards Kuro’s direction. ”Last thing I need is him singing me ballads outside my window…”
