If you picked up the rose, put it into your inventory (label it as 'red rose').
You follow the path, which spirals and weaves through the forest erratically. It seems strange that so many wolves would walk this odd path enough to make a path, but you press on. Perhaps the pup had found it and drifted up the forest, as you are right now.
The path is unrelenting, yet you keep traveling it, as if pulled in by something unseen. It's not unsettling, at least, but you acknowledge the fact this is unusual. What compels you forward on a path that never seems to end? Is it the dedication to find the pup? Is it an unknown force? You... don't know, and that fact can unnerve you or be strangely comforting; it's up to you.
Eventually, the path finally seems to grow smaller and smaller, as if less paws traveled it. It leads straight to a small cave built into a cliff; had there been a cliff before? It seems strangely placed, but the river underneath reminds you of where you started. The river and path must have met here, meaning the pup could have also come from the river itself.
A loud sound emits from the cave; a growl. You freeze, about to bolt when out shambles a weathered and old grey wolf. Purple eyes flick up to meet yours as an aged sigh escapes her, and for a moment you consider something more sinister could have happened to the pup.
"Oh, great. Another one of you. Let me guess, you want help from the old 'witch' by the river, huh?"
Your visible confusion seems to startle her as, with a roll of her eyes, she flops onto her haunches. "No? Never heard of me? I hate your type even more -- never know what they came for and or what they need." She heaves a low sigh, as if you offended her by merely standing there.
"Lets cut to the chase; you're looking for something. Something lost or something you didn't want to find. Same thing, really. If you need help I can find it, but I don't work for free. Never did never will. I'll need something red, and for you to come inside."
You mull over your options. You could continue alone, but the color of her eyes didn't slip past you. She could help. Really help. You flick your eyes behind her as the moon briefly beaks through the clouds and shines directly on the opening. Bones -- wolf bones. They litter her cave, and for a moment you catch reflective yellow eyes.
Another wolf is in there.
You swallow thickly, weighing your decisions. You have something red. (Some of you have two red things!). Do you offer them and accept her help? Or... do you refuse and continue past her den? The choice is yours. A. Offer her the rose and accept her help. B. Offer her the scarf and accept her help. (Only for those with the scarf item). C. Refuse. Whatever is inside the cave isn't worth putting your life at risk.

RP Response: Mea eyed the old wolf for a moment, though the look was more curious than suspicious. Hmm... the rose she had picked up had seemed like an odd thing, but perhaps it could be useful now. She wants something red, right? And Mea had already come this far. She wasn’t about to give up on the pup now.
That thought drove her forward. Dropping the rose at the old wolf’s feet, she smiled, unafraid of what could happen next. “I’m looking for a pup. Do you know where I can find him?” Did You Equip An Item?: No

RP Response: She didn't let the fact that she could be in danger escape her, but she also couldn't let the mom and pup down. She had to do what she had to do. She offered the rose to the old seer. "I hope this will suffice," she said and stepped backwards. She tried to see past the her into the cave to discern what she had seen inside, but her view was obstructed. She waited for the old wolf to answer. "I'm looking for a wolf pup who went missing."

RP Response: Now this...this was more dangerous. Very very dangerous. Yet, there was a child out there and needed to be found. Love Heals stepped forward, offering the scarf. "A pup is missing." She said, entering the cave and trying not to fluff up too obviously in her nervousness. "The more people looking to bring him back to his mother safe and sound, the better. RP Response: Mourning Dove felt a mixture of emotions. She felt uneasy, but what if this other wolf was some sort of guard? Would she be hunted down by it if she tried to leave without leaving a token? If she was leaving a token anyway, she may as well ask for help. Plus... She'd rushed forward to try and track the voice that she'd heard in asking them for help, so why shouldn't she ask this old wolf too?
So, with the rose still gripped in her jaw, she took a few steps forward and then placed the rose before the wolf. "I do seek someone, a lost pup." She explained. "His mother is very worried for him and I intend to find and return him to her safely." If such a thing were possible, that was. "His name is [something seems wrong... you can't remember what went here!] and he's been described as being [you swear you remember this....] and one purple eye. Can you help me find him?" RP Response: She hesitated at the sight of the old wolf, her purple eyes unsettling and her demeanor foreign to a wolf who had not spent much time in the company of others. The request for a red item rang alarm bells in her head. It was too convenient that she had stumbled upon a red rose, a flower that had been placed within her path almost carefully.
The situation reeked of danger, but she could not yet turn away when she knew a pup was missing. After hesitating for almost a few seconds too long, she walked forward and followed the wolf into her home. Did You Equip An Item?: No

Red Rose
RP Response: Trailing along, Ash was getting a very unnerving feeling. Red eyes darting back and forth until the fell upon the purple eyes of an older wolf. Ash was ready to call it quits on this wild pup chase until she offered her help for something red. Well, it was just Ash's luck that he had found a red rose, but dang, when was he gonna find another one to get to the mother to try and sweet talk her.
Oh well... "I could use some help ma'm. I do have this red rose if you would so kindly accept this red offering."
Ash's red eyes darted at hers. At least he had the red rose as he would have ran away if his eyes were in question.
Catching a glimpse of the remains behind her, Ash almost immediately regretted this decision, until another pair of yellow eyes stared back at him. Ash let out a low growl while awaiting the reply of the old hag.

RP Response: Such a strange path, Kindle thought to herself, continuing on with a excitement in her step at the thrill of the unknown. She was still worried about the pup she was seeking, especially if he'd been following this path too. But she was committed - and greatly enjoyed an adventure like this! - and would not stop until she reached the end of the road.
Or, well. A cave in the cliff side. Kindle's ears were alert, blue gaze eyeing the cave with curiosity and uncertainty. She felt a little confused, like she'd missed a turn somewhere and come back to where she had started? Peeking over the cliff side she could see the river... and then she nearly jumped out of her fur, turning to face the gave with tail erect and fangs bared.
Only to freeze and stare in slight awe. There was a second seer! Stars shine down on her, she'd run in to two of these wolves in the same day! Was it fate? Coincidence? A test of the stars? Kindle stared, not able to completely shake that strange feeling. She also couldn't help but remember what her mate, Ghostwise, had told her about the seer from his old pack. And there were all those bones... and... a wolf?!
"I am in need of assistance, yes." Kindle said, sitting down and listening to the old seer's terms. "A pup is lost. I need to find him. Will this rose be enough payment?" She lightly held the rose in her mouth, ready to enter the cave, and whatever was awaiting. Did You Equip An Item?: Red Rose
RP Response:Gaze of Verdant Gold warily weighed his options, glancing between the old Seer and her cave, at the golden eyes peering from within. He could take the crone easily enough if there was trouble, but the cave dweller was an unknown.
Something had led him here though. Perhaps she could help, perhaps he was being paranoid.
Okay, probably not, but he planned to keep his wits about him.
He lifted the scarf and offered it forward, pointedly meeting the gaze in the cave as if silently saying, Yeah, I see you there. "A pup is missing. I'm searching for him on behalf of his mother. RP Response: At the old seer's words Conder paused his mind in turmoil. He was being given a choice to brave the cave or to retrace his steps. He knew if he walked away he would never forget that he had given up on the pup. Yet perhaps this decision would lead to his death. The bones littered throughout the cave were evidence of what a parlous situation he was in. Yet he didn't want to forsake this chance. Perhaps the Red Rose he had picked up on a whim would help him on this journey. Did You Equip An Item?:Red Rose

RP Response: Virtue could not forget about those purple set of eyes that looked at her earlier. Although this wolf was old, those eyes can see far more than what she can currently see. And right now, it's nothing but the self proclaimed 'witch' in front of her and a 2nd set of yellow eyes hidden amongst those piles of bones. She gulped hard as she had to go INSIDE and follow the stranger. The request from her was strange but she stuck to her guts and decided to give the 'witch' a tiny red scarf. ..There's no time for selfdoubts now... Virtue tucked the rose halfway in her dense furry coat, and held the scarf in her mouth. "I found this earlier sticking out under a rock by the river. It can't get any redder..really.. But yes.. I am indeed helping some wolf find her missing pup. Perhaps we could.. do a fair trade...? I'll give you this scarf and maybe you'll be able to tell me something about either of them.. or both? I....I... need your help..." She stood on guard as she followed the old wolf into her tiny cave, ready to flee if her bartering goes amiss...

RP Response: After the elder she-wolf finished, River Hawk stayed quiet for longer than she should have. Her options were few and her chances of finding the pup on her own seemed just as slim. Her gaze moved back to the entrance of her den, then to the path around it.
She sat the rose down before her in offering. "I seek a pup by the name of [something seems wrong... you can't remember what went here!]," she stated simply. Did You Equip An Item?: Yes, red rose

Round Five: Sixth Round Begins: October 28th, 3pm EST
You extend the rose to her, accepting her help. The Seer releases a short huff as she relinquishes you of the rose.
"Wait here," she orders, leaving little room to question or protest. She turns, heading back to the cave and dropping the rose within it. There's silence, and that seems to appease her. The glowing yellow eyes within the cave retreat, presumably deeper within the cave.
"Your offering has been well received, come on inside."
Inside is what you suspected; a cave covered in wolf bones. She kicks them aside idly, making spots for both of you. Her eyes lift to yours, and for a moment there's silence. It doesn't last long.
"I need information on the wolf you seek. What is their name, and fur color?"
Some of you may have given this answer previously, but the old Seer's memory isn't what it used to be! This round does not have routes. You will PM Nymphiea the name of the pup and the color of their fur (don't forget any markings that might have been mentioned). You might notice previous posts with this information has been... altered mysteriously. Do not edit those posts. Do not tell anyone the answer (if you remember it!). When posting the prompt form, simply stated you're PMing Nymphiea (and DON'T state your answer) and have your wolf lead up to about to tell the Seer.
There should be no indication of your guess for the color/markings/name within this thread. Remove the red rose from your inventory!

You extend the scarf eagerly, and she takes it. She nods with a huff, examining the scarf. "This should do..." she mutters, heading to the cave. The eyes within the cave shift as the scarf is deposited inside, and for a moment there's silence.
"... I believe your offering has been well received," she murmured, gesturing for you to come close. The eyes don't move, locked on you as you nervously approach. You enter the cave, noticing the wolf bones littered across the floor as your paw hits against a jaw bone.
Suddenly, there's chaos, and you can barely make out the Seer's voice as a loud snarl erupts through the cave.
"What? It's red, like you asked! What are you doi-"
Something large tackles you, and for just a moment you make out a flash of black and grey before the world goes dark. You've been knocked out...
You've been eliminated from the game! At the end there will be further information about this game and how it works in-character. Rest assured, your wolf is okay! Refrain from mentioning this game and what happened until the end, where more details will be given.
