Cheomseongdae, Page of Cosmos

Cheomseongdae had been patrolling near a park she sometimes visited to study during the day, when it was nice out, when something strange happened, something... rather scary. She felt a pulling to come closer to the park, and when she did, she found it encased in a mist, and herself drawn into it. She was too startled, and scared, to cry out in fear, but it was so tempting and she did not know what to do.

She began to move further into the park, her eyes scanning the area around her for danger, or... or for friends. Friends would be nice, even if she had so very few of those to help her figure out what was going on that she suspected none would be trapped her with her too.

Corrupt Mauvian Obscura

Obie had been out scouting on her own. 'Nubi and 'Mali didn't always need her around and honestly she needed to learn how to pull a few tricks on her own. She was just as new to all of these things as they were. Besides, the twins were fun and all, but she wanted to meet other people as well.

The park happened to be one of her more favorite places to hang around. Lots of places to roost and people watch. Occasionally she'd see something more interesting. Take today for instance. One second she had a nice perch, staring up into the sky through the bare tree limbs, next everything was coated in a very strange darkness. It must have been attracting a lot of attention from the powered denizens of Destiny City, because they were lighting up all over her built in radar system.

She hopped down from her tree as more and more signatures started to gather in the park. There was certainly a good number of them around, unfortunately none of them felt familiar from the time she had spent in the rift.

As she carefully skirted her way around all the people on the ground, she was such a tiny kitten, she spotted another guardian. One much larger than herself, but on the same side of things. She had met other Agents before and of course she loved her twins, but she hadn't had the chance to interact with one of her own kind yet.

She raced over to him, and paced by his side. Her small feet working to keep up with him while he seemed to be on the prowl for something or someone. "Hi there! Sorry, I didn't mean to sneak up on you or anything. I've only met other agents before now. So I know this is messed up but I'm super excited to meet you." She tended to ramble, but oh well. They didn't seem to be in any immediate danger at the moment. Might as well roll with it. "I'm Obscura. And I'm really impressed by your size. It's amazing." He was so big, and not in a bad way. Oh, she hoped he wasn't taking that in some weird way. She wasn't rude!

Scamander Page of Jupiter

"Jupiter," said Scamander agreeably. He waved a tanned hand, the other outstretched to grasp her fingers in a simple grip; his fingers were work worn and a little rough, clear evidence of someone who used them more often than not for manual labor. "I know, the outfit's a li'l bit of a misgiving, I think, but I don' really mind it that much. It looks nice, at least."

He smiled at the girl - Pendour, she'd said her name was - and stuck his hands back into his pockets again. "I've never met anyone from Neptune yet, but it's nice to meet you, Pendour. You can be the first of my acquaintance n' all that."

Scamander was, without a doubt, ridiculously unfamiliar with being powered and the knights and the Negaverse and all of that. He'd been given the basic rundown of things, but it didn't make him an expert by any means, so all he really knew was that black uniforms = bad and white uniforms = good.

Mostly. He was aware there were probably exceptions. There were people in dark uniforms all around him now, Scamander's gaze flickering from person to person. Pendour's comment, however, made him swivel back around to look at her, sandy blond eyebrows raised.

"A hospital?" he repeated, mildly interested. "You got locked inna hospital? That sounds dangerously like the start of a terrible horror movie."

Allegra Marchesa

Allegra had been walking home from a party at a friend's place, or at least a really good dinner with friends, and she was thinking about the next time they could get together for some fun. She had not been paying attention to what was going on around her, really, and just turned the corner to walk past the park that was on her route home. As such, she was very surprised to find it shrouded in dark mist, and even more surprised to find herself drawn into said dark mist.

Allegra had heard STORIES of strange events around Destiny City, and of course had seen the news about the ridiculous terrorist nonsense and all the damage. She had not idea what caused any of this, but she had managed to avoid any of the problems that came with it so far. Apparently, tonight her luck ran out.

She stood on the grass, looking around in confusion. The place looked so strange in the mist, and the colors were all wrong. She did not know what she was supposed to do to get out, though she kept trying to leave. All that happened was she got nowhere. Finally, she bit her lip and decided to move towards the center of the park. Maybe there would be an answer there, and an escape.

Page Aogashima of Cosmos

It had been a few months since Tochi had 'awakened' as the magical space idol of her dreams, and honestly, she was still as lost to her idol fantasy as she was before. She didn't really comprehend what 'Cosmos knights' were supposed to be, aside from her assumption they were the idol group that had scouted her, and still had trouble thinking of herself as 'Aogashima', rather than 'Tochime', the nickname she had picked out for herself back when she started seriously pursuing her dreams.

As such, 'Aogashima', as it was, hadn't been out to do any sort of duty or patrolling or anything like that, but rather, had wanted to try yet again to see if she had any magical space idol powers, because she was still convinced that if she sang earnestly enough, she'd be able to make something happen. Tochi normally went to a small playground close to home, but had been drawn to one of Destiny City's other parks for a reason she couldn't quite place, to practice this time. What she hadn't expected was to get pulled into a void of swirling mist, where a host of other people apparently were, too.

This wasn't... the concert she was expecting to have.

General Aurostibite

Hydrus' appearance was a reassurance, though by the looks of it, he was more than a little fed up with the whole Mintaka is getting into trouble again thing. Aurostibite's gaze cut meaningfully to his wife, gloved fingers still pressed against the small of her back, and then let his eyes move towards Stillwaterite, who was standing beside her. The guilty party in question looked no worse for the wear, at the very least.

Also they were safe, and Mintaka appeared in cheery spirits, in spite of the fact of their whole situation. Aurostibite opened his mouth to speak, but Mintaka had jerked suddenly, arms flung out, and magic pulsed from her, bursting from her hands towards a figure off to the side. Paper cranes exploded into being, and Aurostibite instinctively lifted an arm; an attempt at shielding himself; he had seen his wife's magic before, but this seemed...out of control. Unnecessarily and startlingly violent.

He lowered his arm after a second, blinking at her, and then slide a sideways glance at Hydrus that say something along the lines of this is not good. The redheaded Dark Mirror senshi who had slid closer was unfamiliar to him; he only spared her a brief glance; one of sharp eyed examination before his attention was drawn back to Mintaka.

"So, this is all Stillwaterite's fault, is it?" he asked, a note of dry amusement in his voice as he ran a placating hand up her back, trying to ignore the slight nerves that stemmed from her magic being unstable. "And here I thought it would be wise to leave you two alone."

The word bossman reached his ears a second later, and Aurostibite, without conscious thought, hunched his shoulders, coughing, as he tried hastily to sidestep in front of his wife; a somewhat irrational and pathetic attempt to shield Mintaka from Kainite's view.

"Kainite," he said, tone deliberately pleasant. "What are you doing here?"

Eion Risk

Eion Risk wore eir skin quietly that evening. The bright white of the iPad cast its Night Shift glow up and outward, like a beacon, like a pall. It caught trees and bark and looming dreary as it spread, shaped perfectly to the shadow of an almost-adult crowning a park bench in the night. Boots shifted to and fro, walking restless on thin air while the rest of em sat proper on a park bench. Bicker and squabble tinted the air with throat-clearing thunder. Eion never looked to those voices. Coal fell steady on the simulated pages, reading in all the dozen meanings wrapped and packed potent into paragraphs at most.

bluer than your ocean blue as the vacancy sign you never meant
to hang in all our lives the blue of the sky picked up and held
by the water this predawn leak of light so like the tint of your lips
the color of oxygen-lack the final absence of air cyanosis they call it

Whorl and swirl spread cyanosis about, a miasma that grew and grew and grew like a wheeze that wouldn't quit. Like an unbreathed breath of air squelched between pneumonia-stricken lung lobes. Eir eyes narrowed to the bicker that spread, gaining voices like the air that wouldn't keep. All looked ill now. Eion returned to the page.

the heart submerged and drowning the ship of your life going down
cyanosis for this rising storm cyanosis like cyan the printer's least
      stable ink cyan from
kyanous which is Greek which just means blue

"Which just means blue," the youth echoed impatiently at the uncaring trees, now garbed in black and mottled bruise. Away went the iPad, tucked into a laptop bag. Soon all the world leapt to life with every hint of powered phenomenon, but eir skin clung stubbornly over the smoke and fire beneath. How dourly anticlimactic.

Flicker-twitch movements of the strangely clothed belied their powered natures. They would be too quick to catch with this molasses skin holding him to the dirt. One other shared eir misfortune, however — pink hair plastered jello-mold-tight to the girl's hair and she moved about as much as it did. "Hey, you're in the way. Better that you move before someone snatches the breath from your chest."

Mauvian Tiberius

So distracted was the massive Mauvian that he did not immediately notice when he acquired a small companion, though his ears did sweep around to catch the whole of her voice as she spoke brightly. Tiberius slowed his roll, puffing up slightly from surprise but also from half-catching a particular scent that was familiar; his tail swished as he regarded the tiny tuxedo kitten and her styling goggles. Lot of black cats in the Negaverse. Must be somethin' in the water...

"Oh, hey there kiddo." Since they had a minute, the silver tabby was willing to indulge Obscura - rather, he could engage with her, because he was a gregarious sort and definitely would have wanted too anyway. He liked meeting other Mauvians, kittens included. Lace and Reven were bang-up Maus, after all - just brilliant little ladies.

"Tiberius' the name, tinkerin's the game. Charmed, I'm sure." With a big, toothy grin, said Mauvian wrapped his gloriously plumed tail loosely around his feet and left the tip wagging lazily. "You've got no filter, do you kid?" He wasn't insulted at all - kittens were blunt and honest usually - and he was large. His breed was large and he was large...and fluffy on top of that.

Next to him, Obscura was tiny. "You got people here, or you alone?" Garbage as he could be as a Mauvian, Tiberius did tend to try to keep kittens safe...if Obscura was alone, he might just scruff her and carry her around. If not, he'd do the same but deliver her to her person, before things got too crazy.

Hopefully.

Maybe.

Allegra spun, startled, to see a person she did not know, her brows lifting up. She stared at them, and finally said "I doubt I'll see anyone attractive enough to take my breath away tonight. I've never met such a person in my life, because no matter how lovely a person, something always spoils the loveliness, be it a personality flaw or a surprise wart in the middle of their forehead. I don't think a person exists who could do that. And I don't think there would be another way to 'snatch' my breath. Punch it away, perhaps, but not snatch it."

She moved out of their path, however, and added "I was trying to leave the park, but it is... not letting me out. This is most inconvenient, considering that I was hoping to get home and practice tonight, before bed." She glowered towards the edge of the park, in the direction she had wished to go, then turned back towards the center of the park again.

"However, since I shan't be going that way, the other direction it is. Are you heading in that direction? Do you wish to walk together, or would you prefer to walk alone?"

Sailor Meissa

That was actually a really good idea that Moira had. Well not the warding of order individuals away but to find an eternal senshi of their own faction to stick close too. Her gaze took in the abnormal atmosphere and she shivered briefly before picking up on the quiver in Moira's voice. Knowing that empty platitudes of things being okay probably weren't going to help them here Meissa plucked up a little courage for herself.

"It couldn't hurt to try to find some eternals for our side. I know I'd feel maybe...safer with a few around. But even if that doesn't work out we could always stick together - and stay out of the way if need be."

Staying out of the way would be a good idea on how to stay safe but it would also mean not figuring out what was happening. It was a fine line but for now Meissa would stick close to Moira.

Eion Risk

Eion knew all ey needed five words in. Five words and she tipped a mountain of secrets, spilled them like blood on a black night. Her jadedness, her self-centeredness, her entitlement, her ludicrous naiveté, her pseudo loftiness. The lot of it reminded em of emself, in the way one hates to see too-sharp cheekbones or eyes sunken too low under a brow ridge too thick. Eion smiled to emself, a coy thing that fluttered away on the last strands of eir patience. A quick and silent beckon encouraged her to follow while she ran the words out of her mouth.

Pretentious they often were. On and on she went about the dreams she never catered anymore, sour as she was. Eion adjusted the bag over narrow shoulder where it sat heavy against a green waistcoat-inspired jacket. She spoke of misunderstood metaphor and inconvenience and direction. She spoke of direction as if it mattered. As if it could take her to a sanctuary within the city itself. As if the city could harbor safe. You could be my twin in all the ways you haven't grown yet.

"You're painfully literal. My mother would love you." Awareness unmentioned, Eion scanned the trees. Eir skin felt tight over nail and black and bone, overwrought and past due, sore for the way it should crack against bony knuckle and sharp joint. "Come." Maybe one of my distempered cohorts won't see us for refreshments.

But the narrow path drawled to an unseen halt and left the youth gawking out at a threshold they couldn't pass. Teeth gritted against each other with perplexed thought. A slow sigh left em.

"What strange magic. Something's hemming us in like cattle. Turning the park dark like a bruise."

Sailor Sweetite

Hearing the furry thing yammer on was only prove to irritate her further because half -- no, seventy-five percent of what he was going on and on about sounded like it needed to come out of some bad Pirates of the Caribbean knock off or one of those corny pirate movies people settled on when there was absolutely nothing else to watch on television.

They weren't anywhere near the ocean - why did he need to continue on with the jargon?

At the mention of fringy, though, she felt her figurative feathers ruffle and her nose lifted in the air. All it took was a quick call on her tablet and a snooty look towards the pirate feline for her to huff, "General Zircon, this is Sweetite. I'm in need of back-up in the park, ma'am. There seem to be some... questionable characters here."

The tablet disappeared and she let off a soft hmph, as if trying to intimidate the small, energetic Mau.

"Where is your back-up?"

Mauvian Wendell

He peered up at her with the somber eye of one who is Very Disappointed in their child's life choices.

"I'm quite sorry you feel that way, my lacey lass," said Wendell, heaving a great sigh. "But we are, it seems, quite stuck here, are we not? And as I've said, it's quite natural to be afraid, there is no need to be ashamed of that!" he added, with the sort of wise nod that was generally reserved for people whose names rhymed with Scrumbledore and Fandalf. Wendell reached out and put a paw delicately on the corrupt's toe.

"Fear not, magical maiden, we shall get out of this situation post haste!" he said, patting her in a consoling sort of way before he leaned back again, tail flicking.

Her question made him blink owlishly (cattishly) up at her, head cocked to one side. The golden coins on the bandanna over his eye moved gently against each other, a soft clinking sound.

"Back up? I'm afraid my beloved senshi is out and about these days, however he trusts me to be capable in his stead!" said Wendell brightly. "I have no need of backup, my delicate darling! I shall see this whole thing through and through, I shall not want for backup!"

Guardian Cat Bernard

Bernard had been annoyed by the interaction he had had with that lieutenant, and it had left him in a bit of a bad mood. He was surprised when heard his name being called, and looking around, spotted a certain carriage-ride partner that he hadn't seen for a couple of weeks. Well, this was certainly a nice change of pace! Even if he still didn't know where he was.

He waddled over to Etoile and the senshi that she was with, his fur-stache curling from his smiling. "Bonjour madam!" He liked to use foreign sayings sometimes. "Etoile! I'm glad we could meet again! Though it would seem that we may be in danger once again." He replied, letting out a sigh. Wasn't there a time that they could meet and not be in danger? He looked over at the chibi senshi that the kitty was with. "And what might your name be miss? If I may ask." After all, if one did not want to give their name to a stranger, even a Guardian Cat, then they should feel free not to do so!

Basic Corrupt Senshi Versailles

For a while Versailles had been wandering around the... what could be called an "edge" of whatever prison they were in, trying to find some way out of it. He couldn't find anything. He sighed and threw his hands up a bit. "Oh well." He said, without any feeling in it. If they were trapped, they were trapped. But he didn't feel as though they were in danger. The Negaverse was quite powerful. If this was due to something outside of the Negaverse, it would be crushed into oblivion. All they had to do was wait for whatever it was that had forced them here to do... something.

And so he looked around a bit more, until he spotted a corrupt that made him pause in pure shock. The theme of the other's uniform... it was awful! What, were they supposed to look like Halloween all of the time! Versailles couldn't help but wonder what had made whatever come up with their outfits think that that... abomination, looked at all good.

And so, he felt a bit sorry for the other corrupt, having to wear such a hideously colored outfit and wandered over to them. At least he wasn't the only corrupt here now.

"Well now, it looks like we both got stuck in this awful place together." He tried for an ice breaker. "I haven't met another corrupt at the same power level yet." He would have said "my level" but that could have been taken a number of ways. "I'm Versailles, senshi of Splendor." He said, introducing himself and holding out his hand.
