It seemed like a good number of them had decided to continue speaking of the cracks along the wall, some of them even managed to go through the newly formed crack, disappearing into a foggy mess that even Avior couldn't see through.
As much as Avior worried about his fellow senshi, he, too, headed in, hoping to find Sadaluud once again. He swore he heard a yelp, but his own navigation fo the fog went smoothly. Not a single bump was met, despite how he neglected the ground at his feet in favor of scoping out more at his eye level.
Hopefully, the others were safe...

This wasn't an uncommon theme for him. Show up to something dealing with the Dark Mirror Court, and recognize next to no one. The usual face was the only one he found to be familiar and a constant--Remarque. He lifted a hand in greeting towards the blonde whenever his eyes slid near where the Senshi of Treachery stood, arms crossed at his chest as he watched the gathering. One other senshi, with a rather long back of her dress (Kobayashi), he edged closer to, nodding his head towards the group.
"You catch why we're all here--'sides the hole." He'd only just arrived, though he was easily aware of the gaping gap in the mirror, mist leaking through. The hole that began to crack further, more pieces falling away, spine straightening as the sound of creaking metal hit his ears. Others began to file through the larger hole, and the tall man cursed a bit, not entirely excited to jump into the unknown for no reason. But he was already there. What would be the gain of sitting back and not even looking in?
Eyeing the senshi he'd been just speaking to, he gave a little shrug and followed others through the hole, squinting into the foggy hall. "Whoever designed Mirrorspace has seen a few too many cheap horror flicks," he grumbled, shaking a foot through the fog to try and disperse it, only to find such a thing wasn't happening.
It was with reluctance that he began to stroll forward, picking his way carefully through the fog and watching his footing as best he could, glancing up at the silver ornate mirror at the end of the hall. "Seen anything like this before?" Though he tried to direct the question to Remarque, he still glanced around to open it to anyone else who might know.
"Please," Acubens huffed, slightly irritated at his fixation on her in regards to not getting into trouble. "I have grown up quite a bit recently." And just as she'd spoken the wall answered her bluff with a challenge. She turned to see the crack widen, the now gaping wound in the wall now revealed what laid behind it. As though someone or something had erected this wall to keep them out of this hallway...
Acubens always had had a problem with authority.
She was stopped when something tugged on her ankles.
Fog.
Acubens froze, heart climbing into her throat as ethereal fingers curled around her legs, tugging her down. Light a train crashing into her brain, visions from that horrible night with madness came screaming to the forefront of her mind. The ache of the pain all those night afterwards rolled out after that wildfire, scorching her nerves like burned earth. This... this couldn't be the same fog... could it? It seemed to have the same mind of it's own. The same willfullness and malice.
Bischofite laughed behind her, but she was too rooted to the spot to turn to find him. Her brother's arm, bloody and bruised drapped over her shoulder and he whispered bemusedly having fun without me?. Not madness, not this time. This time it felt more familiar, like that broken, pale, wide-eyed creature next to her bed that she had named Fear.
She could scream.
It was only a second, however, and in the next instant Kiuchi's voice cut through the haze of her fear and brought her back to clarity. Stay with us. A murmured request, but powerful enough to drag Acubens back from the jaws of despair. She nodded and stumbled after him, legs unsteady from her previous panic and the unsure terrain. Smiling as she found him she took hold of his arm and stretched her hand out for Crocus'.
"I would never leave you," she promised him, voice sounding foreign on her own lips.
At Chione's mention of a fun house Acubens actually laughed.
"That's the spirit! A fun house! Much better than a horror movie, I'd say."
Tantalus laughed briefly. "We really do have to stop running into each other like this," he agreed. "Perhaps we ought to make plans sometime, when there are...fewer pressing matters?"
He took a long moment to regard the now much larger crack.
"Well." He strode forward, and carefully pulled himself through. No point in just standing around and waiting for something to happen, or something to crawl out of the space between mirrors and attack them, or some other foolishness. The corridor on the other side was easy enough to traverse, at least - or perhaps he was just lucky. He would accept that, as well.
Crocus thought about Kiuchi's question for a while, what did he want to be behind the ominous crack in Mirrorspace? Hmm, really anything that wasn't deadly. He could handle it being an issue with mirrorspace itself, so long as it was something they could fix. But the thought of something or someone out there messing with their home, that wasn't a very nice one.
"Hopefully it's just some weird renovations that none of us are aware of, but Mirrorspace needs to make." He tried to shrug it off, but before long they were all prepared to actually go on through. Just in time for more of the wall to break away again. Well, that was the first time he'd seen that happen. The mist was unsettling as well. He took Kiuchi's offered hand and rose to his feet to follow in after him.
"And we'll be here to back you up as well Acubens." Crocus gave her a reassuring smile. He was worried, who wouldn't be in this situation, but at least he was putting on a brave face. Besides, Remarque was here, Tantalus was fairly strong, and they had Acubens. He knew those three were at least powerful, and he saw a few others with dark wings on their back.
It was definitely an odd space though, a weird warped version of the mirrorspace he was somewhat familiar with. The floor was impossible to make out and Kiuchi tripped a bit ahead of him, just as Crocus was about to ask if he was okay, the same thing happened to him. It was like his boot got snagged on something in the floor. Was the floor cracking as well? It wasn't going to give out on them, was it? It almost felt like the mist was reaching up and pulling him down.
"I do recall a very cheesy horror movie that involved mirrors..." Usually horror flicks didn't freak him out much, but in a situation like this just remembering it sent a chill down his spin.
"It's not that big of a deal," Elsa looked vaguely embarrassed under his sister's praise. "I'm glad you brought me in, I really am." He meant it, too. He'd been a rebel without a cause - or well, with about a hundred causes - for so long, it felt good to have something to really focus on.
He eyed the crack rather skeptically, but he took a step forward, and then pushed himself through, and of course when he got to the other side he managed to trip, though only briefly, on some unseen bit of debris.
"Oh, great, I love halls of mirrors," he said, full to the brim of biting sarcasm.
Feeling Acubens hand on his uniform he turned to give her a smile, glad to have two of his favorite people with him. He couldn't give into his own nerves with them here - right? Though that wasn't all true...he was nervous and he did keep close to them both. Holding tight to Crocus he felt when the other tripped and turned concerned eyes onto the other. "You ok?" The concern, and worry, evident in his voice as he tightened his hold on the other for a moment.
Glad to have the eternal with them the senshi of gorgon's was happy to pull her up closer to himself so they could would side by side. He didn't like all the fog and that if it started to rise, and fill the room, he'd have a hard time seeing her. Tugging on Crocus' arm to bring the other closer as well - just incase, Kiuchi's dark eyes kept glancing about as if expecting something else to happen.
"The floor...maybe broken pieces from the wall?" He questioned both in a whisper, he didn't really want to talk too loudly as if it might cause some sort of new damage...like with an avalanche or something similar.
"I really hope it's some remodeling Crocus...but I don't think we're that lucky." Biting his bottom lip. He really wished he could go back to Acubens' and curl up with a pillow and sleep. However, sharing a home with her meant that anything which happened and dealt with their court...she'd pull him along without a doubt. There was no escaping things for him, unless he was sick or injured, and he knew it. But this was creepy!
Sinope gaped at the black-haired kid (Kiuchi) on the floor when he mentioned how he knew Sadalsuud. "What?! I asked if she wanted to try out our magic together and she didn't want to with me," he said, sounding a bit disappointed. Although, to be fair, he hadn't really presented his proposal to her as 'testing out magic' more so than asking if she wanted to do a practice battle. At the time he'd thought of them as the same thing. "Are you two good friends or dating or something?" he continued to question Kiuchi. "Do you go to the same school?"
But then another boy (Crocus), a blonde with flowers, was talking to the green-clad senshi, offering to sit beside him on the floor. Sinope was about to leave them alone when he realized the blonde - Senshi of Saffron if he'd heard right - had commented on his hood. Since he wasn't really sure what to make of the hood with ears himself, he couldn't tell if Crocus really meant his compliment or was being sarcastic, so he simply extended his arms and shrugged with a half-smile. "Thanks. And those are some nice flowers you've got there."
Though Ptolemaeus had asked Acubens about her sketching habits, he realized afterward how trivial an inquiry it was, especially since it didn't really pertain to their current situation. A young lady in purple (Mimistrobell) mentioned a book and his brows rose, turning to her.
"She's writing a book?" About their court? About Mirrorspace? That sounded like quite the project. He wondered what she had so far, being an eternal who was bound to have experienced a great deal more of the DMC than himself, but he also wondered if she would have liked some assistance in her endeavor.
When he looked over at Acubens again, however, she seemed distracted by a newcomer; Tantalus. Ptolemy's curious gaze darted back and forth between them, though he dared not speak a word. Such tension...wonder what happened there. Perhaps, if he dared, he have been to ask the male senshi in red later. Once this whole other mess with the crack was sorted out, anyway.
As Sinope left Crocus and Kiuchi to their own devices, he overheard the girl with the hood and mask introducing herself as Laverna and mentioning that her sphere was thieves. He'd been interested in her comments before and watched her sneak up on that other female senshi who had been inspecting the wall, but this fact about her powers only added to her intrigue in Sinope's eyes. He went right up to her and held out a hand.
"Hello; name's Sinope, Senshi of Slyness. Overheard you talking and couldn't help but think we might work well together." He flicked the front edge of his own hood with a playful grin as if to emphasize how even their outfits seemed to match. "What kind of stuff can you do with a sphere like 'thieves'?"
And then a loud crack sounded.
The Senshi of Change jerked his head up at the noise. He may have previously appeared as relaxed and at ease as ever, but he'd kept his senses alert and had thus not been as taken by surprise when the wall broke up even more to reveal a corridor. The sight of the mirrors surrounding all sides made him caused him to smirk a little just at the sheer irony. Here they all had expected something strange, new, and different, but there they were; the mysterious, Dark Mirror Court confronted with a corridor of mysterious mirrors. So much for change.
Even so, who knew what this could have meant for them? Perhaps the real surprises lay ahead. Careful not to get in anyone's way and trying to mind where he stepped despite the thick, white fog, Ptolemaeus carefully maneuvered his way toward the end of the corridor toward the silver-framed reflective glass larger than all the rest.
"What the...what just happened?"
As a new space opened up to them, Sinope couldn't help but feel as though Mirrorspace were beckoning to their group, inviting them in. It gave him the creeps. He hesitated in entering, but when he recognized the sound of Sadalsuud's voice as she yelped in distress, he forced himself to head in. If she had braved it, why couldn't he?
Because bravery is another word for foolishness, he reminded himself mentally, grimacing as he hastened to the Senshi of Clover's side. Playing the hero wasn't his strong suit, nor did it appeal to him in the least, but maybe if he was the one to help her, she would admire him more. Or something. In any case, no one else seemed to have noticed she'd gotten stuck.
"Hang on a sec," he told the black-haired girl, slowly lowering himself to the rock-ravaged ground so as to better feel for the location of her foot. With a soft grunt, he gingerly gripped her ankle so as to guide her shoe out of the crack. Then he pushed himself back up to his own feet and held out his arm for her to take if she so chose.
"Maaaaybe it might be better to keep at least one other person close if we're going to throw ourselves at the mercy of the unknown. Just a thought."

Mimi turned her head away from the crack when she heard someone asking about the book. She smiled at him (Ptolemaeus) and nodded. "It's in no way complete, but I've flipped through what Acubens had and it definitely is a work in progress. I don't think anyone's been as curious as she has been. Well, curious, but maybe not as determined to put it together."
"Oh, pardon me. I am Mimistrobell. It's nice to meet you." She gave him a small curtsy before a metallic sound rang out and another crack appeared, this time big enough for people to fit through. "Looks like mirrorspace didn't like my introduction." Mimi had said it, meaning to be funny, but whatever was happening did seem a bit odd.
She honestly had wanted to be the first one in, but others beat her to the punch. Mimi had kicked up some debris and it felt a little difficult to move through the crack, but nonetheless, she had made it. The room looked like any other, but there was a more ornate mirror at the end of the hallway. Why was it all here and... hidden? Mimi felt like with all the exploring people could do in here, that someone would have stumbled upon the place before?

He had sort of gotten caught up in things and ignored Sinope, or just not responded, but as he spotted the other now he decided to answer him - it was only polite after all.
"I offered to help figure out what her magic might do...and I didn't know what mine did - I do now." And his was useful...or well most would see it as useful and he did too but he didn't like it, not really...
"Me and Sadalsuud...dating...same school?" He questioned, cheeks going pink in color. he turned without a thought and pressed his face into Crocus' shoulder before peeking at Sinope with wide dark eyes. "N-no...to both. I go to Romano's....and I'm seeing someone else." Though they hadn't spent much time together recently. He didn't say this, it wasn't important to this conversation, but he was embarrassed as this was an odd and uncomfortable topic for him - thus his face nearly being hidden by Crocus' shoulder.
He didn't for a moment think the hooded Sinope might mean himself and Crocus, since the conversation was about himself and the senshi of clovers.

"Oh, cool. And what's that?" the redhead asked off-handedly in regards to what Kiuchi's magic did, attempting to sound less interested than he actually was.
But when he glanced over at the other teen's repetition of his words, Sinope was met with a priceless expression. He looked away quickly again, pretending to be more focused on keeping Sadalsuud balanced.
"Well, what do you know. So do I." Maybe with luck, he'd get to meet this guy as a civilian. Clearly he was the sort who was fun to play with if he got flustered so easily. The declaration that Kiuchi was seeing someone else, however, just caused him to grin more broadly and he didn't even look up as he made a show of studying his female companion's foot for injury.
"Right. I actually guessed that when I first heard you ask that Acubens woman where Crocus was." With a wicked glint in his eye, he finally raised his head to wink in Kiuchi's direction. "Just thought I'd ask for the sake of asking." More like to learn more about what kind of person Kiuchi was from his reaction. And boy, had it been worth it.
She had admittedly been rather distracted by the crack, to the point of not actually greeting anyone she knew there already, so it wasn't a surprise that she almost jumped when she was addressed by the male Senshi (Loke). She looked over to him, blinking a bit as she tried to place his face but failing since she had never seen him before, then gave a friendly smile. "Honestly I just got here so I don't know much either beyond the info that the crack has been here for a little while and gotten bigger." She said with a small shrug.
Her attention was caught again by the hole when it started to grow wider with a cracking sound and she raised an eyebrow at it. Just what could be causing this to happen in Mirrorspace? Not that she had a lot of experience in Mirrorspace so the only real clue that this wasn't usual was that Remarque and the other's were worried. Her eyes darted back to the male Senshi when she caught the movement of his shrug out of the corner of her eye. "Agreed. Though I would say the effects budget was clearly better then some movies." She said as she followed him and the rest into the hole.
On her way through she ended up stumbling a bit over some rocks which she assumed came from the wall, and the promptly got her foot stuck in a crack in the floor. "Okay, like learning to walk in this boots and skirt wasn't enough I have to learn to avoid cracks in the Mirrorspace too?" She asked herself with a sigh as she pulled her foot loose after a few minutes of tugging. Thankfully she didn't feel hurt though she slowed down for a moment as she walked to check.
Kobayashi caught the Senshi she was talking to asking Remarque if he had ever seen anything like it before and took the time to give her Prince a quick smile in greeting.
Sadalsuud had lost track ofAviorafter heading through the hole and then after her foot had ended up getting jammed her mind had ended up being focused more on trying to awkwardly extract it from the fog-clad crack that she had somehow managed to stumble into.
She was still trying to extract the shoe whenSinopecaught up to her and with the other dark mirror senshi's help she was finally able to get her foot loose.
"Thank you," Sadalsuud said as she reached out for the offered arm, her smile of thanks tinged with the embarrassment she still felt for managing to get her foot stuck in the first place, before nodding at his suggestion of it being probably better to stick with someone whilst continuing to investigate what was behind the crackâ
Or at least that was how she had read his comment.
She nodded, a rueful note in her voice as she admitted "True" because Sadalsuud knew that she was no where near as experienced as some of the other dark mirrors that had gathered seemed to be - for all that she had now been part of the court for over a year...
And she still had no idea of what her magic did - aside from look pretty.
"Would you be okay with me sticking with you?"
She had lost track ofKiuchitoo, hadn't realised that the dark-haired dark mirror senshi was quite so close, her green eyes taking in the blond-haired dark mirror senshi with the flower crown (Crocus) by him, before they turned startled at Sinope's question "Ah no I'm in my final year Meadowview" she admitted, adding "We met one evening while I was out on patrol up by Romano's" even as Kiuchi also explained.
And whilst she hadn't know that Kiuchi was seeing someone as it wasn't exactly something that had come up during their meeting she had shaken her head at the dating question "No we're not" her lips quirked up in a smile that turned into a small laugh as she continued "I think my Dad would have a fit if I started just dating" because whilst she loved her father dearly, she sometimes found herself wondering if he saw her as anything other than his little girl - even though she had turned 18 earlier on in the year.
"And Kiuchi's magic is pretty neat - much more so than mine" because whilst Sadalsuud considered her magic pretty, it hadn't actually shown any use - at least none that she had managed to discover as yet - although Kiuchi like Merkeb had suggested that it might be luck-based and had also suggested that maybe she might find out what it did in battle.

"I think we are in for an adventure." Laverna smirked as she eyed Diadem but then had to blink away a moment when a male voice caught her ear. Forward and cheeky thing that he was, Laverna watched him imply they would work well together before the sly senshi was off to play the hero.
Without calling out to him, Laverna turned her eyes back to the woman beside her. "Is it just me or some of the members here rather....flighty?" She asked as she turned to watch others come through the hole. Some stumbled, others seemed to have better footing. In truth she might have also been watching their footwear to see if that had anything to do with it. Heels and loose stones after all.
"But if a music star comes out of that mirror..." Laverna pointed down to the large one at the end "Then I'm questioning everything about this place. It can be strange but that might be pushing it just a bit much. But it could be interesting to see Mirrorspace's take on music."
"Probably realized two seconds into his creep that you were out of his league." Diadem concluded as the Senshi of Slyness slunk off to flash his smile at someone else, without so much as waiting for a reply. "I'll take a music video over another funhouse-of-horrors quip." She sighed. She got it. She did. But she didn't like the idea of people working themselves up to a lather when nothing more terrifying than what amounted to a hidden room in the infrastructure of something that didn't make sense in the first place. "How do you -not- question it all to begin with?"
