Noah felt a bit better about the recent catapult fail though when he managed to smash two of the three plates in the shattering game. He cheered to Eve as he held up the four tokens and the Bulbasaur gave a little chirp of her own in agreement. It was good to see the otter slowly growing better in spirits; it wasn’t all about winning after all, but having some fun.
In the meantime, Cheri was giving the crossbow game a go. The attendant was a little alarmed to watch the cloaked Espurr try to handle the crossbow on her own, half tempted to stop her. But that didn’t seem to faze her, as most things didn’t; she landed dead center on her first go and then right on the second inner ring without so much as a sweat. The man just stared before the jingling of a sack caught his attention; Cheri was sitting there with it open expectantly waiting for her earnings. The poker faced stare caused him to shiver but quickly he produced the proper winnings and dropped them in her bag. Her head bobbed in thanks and she hopped down, off to the next game. What a strange pokemon.

The joust was announced again and Cheri stopped to look at the ticket she’d acquired. It was close, so very close but her selected horse only came in second. Well, it was still something. She headed off for the booth to exchange her ticket for what winnings it would earn her. Tokens were tokens after all.
Noah gave the bobbing for berries game another whirl and was made happier by the fact that this time, he himself got three berries! It was a triple improvement over the one berry he’d been nabbing. He learned a thing or two from watching Eve’s attempt; despite the whole potential drowning thing, you had to open your mouth wide if you wanted to catch a bunch in that one go.

With a firm grip on Celsius' hilt, Avikna swung low on the dummy, cutting it's hay-made body only partially in half. The instructor told her she needed to give a wider arc to her swing. Collecting herself once more, the red-head took a broader step forward and swung once more, this time completely cutting the hay-made dummy in half. The instructor applauded her before motioning towards another dummy. "Try and aim for a clean decapitation." They said. Holding Celsius firmly, the red head twisted her self around, and took a broad step forward and with a wide wing up at the dummy's neck, she cleaved it clean off. For being an old blade, Celcius' edge was still sharp. "Perfect! I think you're ready to take on another human."
In the meantime, Aislin had caught up with the red-head and went back to playing games. At first she was somewhat distracted, after seeing Avikna in armour.. it was an odd feeling that kept her from doing to good at the bean bag game, only getting one bag into their respective holes. Thinking nothing on it, the canine moved onto the next game, a bit less distracted. In fact she was pretty determined, aiming her crossbow, she managed to get a really good score this go around.

Pitted against another human, Avikna narrowed her eyes in on the target. They wore far more armour than she did, so she wasn't entirely afraid to go all out. Her first opponent was quick, but didn't really hit to hard, so while she was getting in some good swings, he wasn't fairing as well, eventually leading him to fall to a knee and hold up his hand in a sign of defeat. Holding up Celcius so she could look into his eye, the redhead seemingly smiled at the blade. "You're guiding my hand aren't you?" She questioned the blade. His eye bore the answer she wanted. Catching something in the reflection of the Honedge, Avikna turned her gaze behind her... Wasn't that? Ajicka?
Aislin continued her games, finding herself enjoying a round of the Berry bobbing game. She'd only managed to pull up five berries, but they were the kind she actually liked. Regardless, her attempts to get them out of the barrel left them squished or to full of bite marks to even be usable. Instead she took her spoils and continued to the next game. As par for the course she got two plates out of the three tosses. Pretty settled on these odds, she moved on to another game.

There was no denying it. Despite the time it'd been since they last saw one another, that was Ajicka. The red-head remembered her the most from that grotesque ball. It seemed she was in the sparring circuit as well, which lead to a perfect opportunity to get to test her personal skills. "I've found my next challenger." The red-head announced, though really only the instructor watching over the battles could hear her. Stepping away from her current ring, she moved over to where Ajicka stood. Taking a quick fighting stance, she held Celsius up in a offensive manner. "Ready yourself." The red-head spoke, altering her voice slightly.

If it wasn't for Jas' timid nature the Charizard wouldn't of thought anything of it, but the human it was hovering nearby was no doubt one they'd met before. Lowering herself down some, she watched some 2o or so feet from the earth below
Aislin had decided to hit up the Catapulting game. Getting a pretty lengthy distance, she just nearly missed the protective netting. Whatever the case, she took her prize and continued on for a match at the jousting arena. Her luck reared it's face, ignoring her for the moment. Cracking her knuckles, Ajicka headed for the sparring matches. ZK hung back while she started asking one of the attendees questions, trying to find out what all was available, what had to be done to get involved, etc. The Zoroark initially rolled his eyes, but after a moment, he glanced back. Actually, now that he thought about it, self defense might be something worth looking into. If he could get strong enough on his own, then he wouldn't really need Ajicka to protect him anymore. Hell, he still hated that he had to ask her to begin with, but he already knew it was paying off. He still had a few unpleasant encounters, but he could just find her and they'd be chased off. Jas was easy to call too. Much as he hated knowing he even could be recalled into one of those horrible little spherical prisons, the fact that he wasn't, but still had this nice little armament of protection, was admittedly reassuring. Still though... it would be even better if he could just take care of himself....

While ZK was having his inner dialogue, Ajicka was discussing her fighting options. She had the majority of her information, and had decided to try her hand at swordplay. It wasn't the best for at-the-ready combat, but it seemed like it might be fun to try. She was getting the feeling of it when a woman approached her, and she shifted, smirking when the challenge was issued. Right, like she knew what she was doing... But she would give it a shot. She'd managed to get some basic armor on, anyway, and even if she hadn't, she probably wouldn't have been worried about getting hurt. Because,w ell... she was a moron. And she was Ajicka. "You got it," she replied, narrowing her eyes at the individual. Due to her costume, she didn't recognize Avickna, but she moved into a ready position, holding her sword up like she'd seen others do before. Her movements were bound to be sloppy but she was fast, and she had good reflexes; she wouldn't win, but she might manage a few blocks before she got brought down.
Unlike his trainer, though, Jas did recognize someone, though it wasn't Avikna. From where he'd been circling up above, he spotted Arietty, and gave a roar to get her attention. Well, if it could be called a roar. It certainly wasn't an intimidating sound. He swooped down to her level, giving another questioning sound, a sort of "Do I know you?" or "Are you who I think you are?" She looked different, though. She'd been in a different form when he last saw her. She looked to be in the same Mega X as he was, now, but... there was still something familiar enough about her that he couldn't help but ask.

Ajicka accepted her challenge. Avikna did feel somewhat bad about not revealing who she was, but this made the challenge at least not completely fixed. Avikna wasn't going to hold back regardless of Ajicka's skill with a sword. When she was ready, Avikna took the initiative, stepping in with a broad leap, swinging the sword for her right shoulder.
Arietty in the meantime was spotted. She grunted in reply to Jas as he questioned her. She bobbed her head, holding up her wing to show the same spot she'd had her Charizardite Y tucked under her wing. With another grumble, she replied "It's been a long time, Jas."

Ajicka shifted, and she was ready to attack, but her opponent struck out first. Her eyes widened, but she quickly pulled away and swung her sword over, blocking and pushing off. She stumbled some, far from elegant, but quickly lashed out, bringing her blade down towards Avikna's other side. It would take her a bit to realize that she was better off on the defensive-- for now, she seemed just as aggressive and intent to attack as she always was.
Jas glanced over at his trainer, looking a bit nervous-- he still didn't realize that was Avikna in disguise after all-- but turned back to Arietty. The dragon revealed a mega stone, but, really, that didn't answer his question, at least not for him. He could tell she was mega evolved... He perked up and seemed to smile when she confirmed it by addressing him, giving a happy roar in return. "No kidding!" he returned, though his joy deflated a bit as he recalled the setting of their last meet up. He folded his wings in to try and be small, remembering Ajicka's concern over him causing a disturbance. "How have you and Avikna been....?" he added, swatting away a fly with his tail as he looked uncertainly at Arietty. Her opponent blocked the hit, sending Celsius back, but her footing wasn't entirely strong. Avikna was able to recover in the time it took Ajicka to retaliate. Celsius guided her hands some, telling her to bring the blade down low, and step off to the side, blocking the hit. With her whole body behind her movement, Avikna pushed the blade away, and once more rose it up over her head to bring it down towards Ajicka's sword-holding arm. Though half her face was hidden, the other half showed the mild enjoyment Avikna was feeling, an enjoyment that was steadily growing. It was actually quite fun to fight with swords rather than fists.
Arietty's gaze fell to the ring below. The humans having a match with one another. The lizard seemed to grin at this sight. "We've been well, surprisingly." The dragon's smile faltered for a moment, when she returned her gaze to Jas. "We've been traveling around Johto for the last few months... just recently defeated a gym leader. She's trying so hard to get stronger, I fear nothing good will come of it." Shaking her head, the smile that normally dawned her maw returned. "What about you and Ajicka? How have things been since... that horrid human gathering?" She of course was talking about the ball that had accrued.

Once more Noah gave the bean bag toss a go and this time around, he managed to get two of them in! Clearly all those earlier attempts had just been flukes; he was slowly beginning to tap into his true skills again. Eve was also doing well; returning to her preferred game of chucking the Tympole plushie, she got some excellent distance and made a high score, earning herself a bunch of tokens. Both pokemon greeted one another with excited cheers before rushing off for the next set of games.

Noah's mood went from confident to sour in a heart beat as he only managed to shatter one platter. He thought he would've had a better chance after having done well on the bean bag toss, but apparently the rocks just weren't on his side. Eve gave the otter a sympathetic look before nudging him towards the crossbow game. If they worked together, they could probably do well on this one!
And for the most part, they did. One shot was a little wild as they tried to coordinate their actions, her working the crossbow and Noah taking aim, but after that they managed to fire really well, even making a bullseye. This got the Oshawott back into considerably good spirits as they collected the tokens and headed off. It'd been a while since they'd seen Cheri... since she was keeping all the tokens, it was probably best to find her and hand over what they'd just earned...

Before they did that though, Noah gave the bobbing for berries game another go. This time he managed to get four berries! That was, what… once more a doubling of what he’d previously managed to get? Or was it just an addition? He couldn’t even remember, he was so excited! He snatched up the tickets, leaving Eve to retrieve the berries he’d earned. She didn’t know if they actually needed these things but well, she’d collect them just in case.
Cheri was so intently watching as Lafayette went about a duel in the sparring arena that she nearly missed the announcement for the Rapidash races. She looked to another ticket, blank gaze unflinching as she was made aware that her bet had come in third place. She was beginning to notice a pattern on who won and who lost. When Noah and Eve appeared to dispense the tokens they’d one, she immediately thrusted the ticket into the otter’s paws, pointing with her own at a booth to indicate he turn it in. Noah just looked shocked, face puffing out in retort. Cheri’s expression didn’t change a wink, instead collecting the tokens neatly into her bag.

It was fairly clear her opponent was enjoying the battle, which was good, because Ajicka was too. Well, off and on. She didn't like how much she stumbled as she quickly blocked another attack, though half of that block was just a straight jump to the side to try and dodge the downward swing, with a quick swipe of her sword to help knock the opponent's blade in the other direction. She gave a quick spun and brought her own blade towards Ajicka's shoulder. At least her blade was clearly made safe, though.... She wasn't so sure about her opponent's. Actually... was that even a proper sword....?
Jas nodded a little, but blinked when Arietty expressed her concern over Avikna's desire to get stronger. "Why would training be bad?" he asked in surprised. It had always done him and Ajicka so much good, and Ajicka was pretty much always focused on getting stronger. Both her, and her pokemon. He shifted, but nodded to the question turned back on him. "I think she's recovered! And we've got a lot of badges sense then!" he replied. Those were his priorities, and then hers, in that order. He looked back over at his trainer, his tail swishing slowly back and forth in thought. "I think Deoxys has kind of helped quell all the anger she had from... that thing," he admitted.

Avikna's footing was far from perfect herself, but with Celsius guiding her, he made this battle seem far more in Avikna's favor. The red-head knew this was sort of cheating, but it was all just to test Ajicka. With her swing blocked, she was pushed back, leaving her open for a moment, she managed to get Celsius up to block the next hit, but it'd come to quick, even for the sword to have anticipated, leaving Avikna and Ajicka now in a struggle for dominance. While Ajicka had been thrust right into the fighting, Avikna had been swinging her sword around for awhile, leaving her fairly exhausted, her strength wasn't quite there as it normally had been. "You're p-pretty good." The red-head spoke, though her shortened breath. "For someone who didn't get any training prior."
Arietty let out a soft sigh. "Yes, getting stronger is a good thing, but not when it comes to my hot-headed trainer." The lizard moved in a tad closer to Jas. "The stronger Avikna gets, the more she'll win, and the more cocky she'll end up getting." The lizard shook her head. "And when the time comes... She'll be to blind to realize her own weakness'... again." Arietty of course spoke of the time in Iron island, when she'd confronted her father.... before than she'd had a never ending streak of wins, and what good did it do her? All her Pokemon including Arietty had been trapped in their poke balls while she was being tortured. An even that Arietty hoped would leave her memories, but persisted. Her gaze returned to her fellow Charizard. "Deoxys?" That was a new one... She didn't remember that name... well, to be far, she didn't really remember much of the Pokemon that Ajicka had.. they had been a bit more preoccupied the last they'd all met.
Meanwhile, Aislin was busy bobbing for berries, trying to get the max 8, she fumbled up and only managed to get one when the bell rang out. Flustered she decided to go and fling a plushy. She'd managed to get quite far, though not quiet the full distance. Regardless, this game was far nicer to her than that other one. Taking her spoils she continued to the next game.
