The teen laughed aloud. “I actually meant something entirely different from either of those, but I’m glad to know that information, too. What I was referring to was something way more innocent. What kind of people do you go for? I know some have a ‘type’ like blondes or red-heads. Or men or glasses or older or strong and silent. That kind of type.”

The corner of Richard’s lips twitched as he fought not to smile when the other laughed. “I see. Well then to answer your question correctly, I’m not particularly picky when it comes to looks.” He said with a very small shrug. He didn’t expound on his answer to say that he was more picky when it came to personality and the actions of the person he might be interested in. “And yourself? Do you have a type of person you are more attracted to?” He asked.

“And?” Kit pressed. “I didn’t just ask about looks, so that’s still not answering ‘correctly’ if we’re going to get technical. Age? Demeanor? Gender? What about those?” Cocking his head at Richard, he tried to assess whether or not the older male asked him because he really wanted to know or because he wanted to avoid elaborating more on his own answer. Perhaps even both. “No, I don’t,” he answered. “Well, actually...maybe I do. I’m not picky, but I really can’t stand childishness. And when I say that, I mean actually acting like a child, not just immaturity. You know, like how sometimes people think it’s cute to act or sound like a child? Yeah - not to me.” He shrugged. “And I get turned off by people who are too eager or want it too badly.” He smirked at the other man. “Like you, for instance,” he teased sarcastically. “It’s no fun if there’s no game; no challenge.”

Richard gave Kit a quick look that if it was caught gave away his amusement that the other caught on just how much he hadn’t said with his answer. “Age wise I prefer them being legal, demeanor it depends, and gender doesn’t matter to me.” Of course he was not answering the bare minimum to the questions on purpose. Really. At the teen’s descriptions he nodded in understanding while the kid got a point to his favor for it. “Agreed. It’s annoying when they try to play that up. Why would someone want to date someone who acts or sounds like they are too young for one in the first place.” At the sarcastic part he shot Kit the tiniest of smirks then responded in a deadpan voice. “Drat and here I thought you would be more willing to jump in bed if I laid it on thick.”

This time, the brief show of amusement was not missed. “...Pretty sure I heard somewhere that it’s okay for minors to date if the person they’re dating is within a certain age range of them,” Kit said off-handedly with a sneer. “But that’s pretty awesome to know that you swing both ways and secure enough to admit it.” He chuckled at Richard’s agreement with his opinion and then laughed at the deadpan response. “Man, and here I thought that was my line. But I guess I have been acting pretty desperate, haven’t I? Shame on me. Really, though, I’m just a very physical person in general. I like being touchy whether in a sexual way or not.”

“Yeah, if they are within two years of their age. Any more then that and it’s considered illegal.” Not that he hasn’t done illegal activities before, but usually it wouldn’t be until they were eighteen and higher before they were interesting and mature enough to date. “I figure if people take an issue with that then that is their problem, not mine.” He said with a slight shrug. Besides, if anyone tried to give him any guff about not just being straight then they just volunteered themselves to donate to the Negaverse. He raised an eyebrow at the teen at the last bit though. “Oh just a bit.” Richard said, just as deadpan as his previous tease. “I see. Doesn’t that get you into trouble at times?”

“So glad you know the specifics of that,” Kit snickered. “But you never told me how old you are, so who says anything we did would be illegal?” He shrugged. “Besides...it’s not a date if it’s just one night.” Turning his head to face Richard directly, he cast him a fearless grin. “What did I just say ten minutes ago? Naturally, I get into trouble. That’s just the sort of person I am. I just never regret it because trouble - dealing with it, overcoming it, and accepting it - is what makes us who we are. Trouble makes life worth living. Without it, everything would be boring as heck.”

“I’m twenty-eight so yes, illegal.” He said with another small shrug. When the kid mentioned it could just be a night he shot Kit a slightly amused look but didn’t respond farther than that. He was no stranger of one night stands and certainly didn’t have a problem with them but the kid would have to do better than that. “I can believe that.” It wouldn’t be a stretch that the kid would end up in jail if he wasn’t more careful with those types of beliefs though unless he found an outlet. Richard figure that Kit would probably make an interesting Negaverse officer if it was possible.

“Well you’re no fun at all,” Kit sighed, crossing his arms over his chest upon hearing Richard’s age. “And yeah, you said that ten minutes ago, too. Are you going senile, then, old man?” he taunted. “I wasn’t enrolled at Hillworth for no reason. But hey, I wouldn’t have it any other way. All the other interesting delinquents go there, so I’m never bored.” Unfolding his arms, he re-folded them behind the back of his head. “You done shopping yet?”

Richard kept his face blank at the other’s pouting, keeping his amusement to himself. “Not at all, just seeing how many different ways you could get yourself into trouble but still being aware of it.” He was not surprised in the least to hear just what school the other was enrolled in. At Kit’s question he glanced around at the different stores then tucked his hands in his pockets. “Yep. I was done back at the instrument store.” He had decided to keep walking to see how the kid would respond to questions and while he could do more shopping for little things, he didn’t have any problem skipping them for now.

Kit blinked at the information he was given, trying to determine what to make of it. He dropped his arms to his sides. “You just stringing me along, then?” the teen asked, raising a brow with a puzzled smile. “I can’t tell if you want me to go away or not. Seems like I’m being played with.”

“What can I say, I was curious.” Richard said with a small smirk. Had he really been playing with the kid? Sort of since he had poked at him a few times but he had basically just been curious about the teen and just what sort of a person he was to just come walking up to a stranger to draw them, pay for their purchase, and then basically threaten to stalk said person.

“Is that all it was? Because you sure seemed like you were having fun to me,” the younger male stated. “Even if you were trying hard to hide it. But whether from me, yourself, or both, I can’t tell.” Kit paused a step to fall behind Richard and attempt to put his arms about the other man’s shoulders, leaning on him. “So you already know my stance on getting into trouble. Now it’s your turn. What’s yours?”

“It might have been a little bit fun as well.” Richard agreed though he didn’t clarify just who he had been trying to hide it from. Normally he wouldn’t be evasive but it was kind of amusing to be so when talking to the teen. At least for the past few minutes it had been. He allowed Kit to lean against him though he turned his head to raise an eyebrow at him. At the question a couple different memories flashed through his mind then he gave a smirk. “You can only get into trouble if you get caught.”

“Hmm. Wise words. From an experienced trouble-maker,” Kit noted. “Why don’t we go somewhere where we can ‘not get caught’, then?” he asked, as casual as could be. He leaned further forward to speak closer to Richard’s ear. “I won’t tell if you won’t, guitar strings.”
