Kohaku was busy tending to her probable head injury and Volpeo's yelling wasn't helping in any way, shape, or form at the moment. It was nice to know that he'd finally snapped out of his dream-like state...kind of. "Don't you remember? We had that stupid contract that formed accidentally. We're still trying to break it. And this is my room. I didn't even know you had a wife." Kohaku explained. Her head stung with a sharp pain and she hissed in pain. Getting up, she decided to get some ice to prevent swelling and maybe soothe the pain that she had accidentally inflicted upon herself. "You get your senses together. I'll be in the kitchen. Excuse me." Leaving the room, she immediately let out a huge sigh. What a way to start the morning. Heading to the kitchen, she headed straight for the ice box and pulled out a ice pack. Leaning against the counter, she attended to her aching head.
Spells/Powers: + Kagura – Kohaku performs a few hand signals that will allow her to do one of three things: - Surround herself with a magical energy. Performing this version will heal her (or others). - Gain a momentary defensive barrier. It will withstand a few hits before it dispels. - Gain a significant attack boost (Only lasts about 5 posts). + Spirit Familiar - Kohaku can summon a spirit familiar (usually a fox) to come to her aid. The familiar only lasts for a limited period of time (10 to 15 posts). + Healing - Kohaku can restore living things to their optimal health, curing broken or withered plants, wounds, broken bones, and low vitality. She can’t raise the dead. + Nature Manipulation - Kohaku can control/tap into elements of nature, including air, fire, water, earth, etc. Her strength is in water and ice. Use of other elements will quickly exhaust her. + Light energy - Kohaku can manipulate light and attack opponents with concentrated balls or beams of light energy. It's rather weak but good for melee.
"What? H-hey I knew that, just hurry up and break the contract!" With the tension rising between both of them. The necklace detected Kohaku's stress and just as she gave her back on him, Volpeo was turned once more into a cub. The chibi kitsune blinked for a pair of seconds, twitching his ears lightly while his tail would playfully wave before being held by the familiar's mouth. "You are here!... wait, where's young maiden? o . o" Asked the playful kitsune as if holding no memory of what had happened a while ago.
If I don't get this contract broken, or at least under some control, I'm going to suffering from much more than a head injury. Kohaku thought sullenly as she continued to hold the ice pack to her head. "Ah, kami, why did this have to happen to me?" she groaned, throwing a teen-like fit. It was unlike her, really. She was usually so calm, collected, and mature. The contract had changed so much.

As the poor maiden tried to get a hold of herself. The familiar walked in with a mischievous looking fox cub which waved his tail lightly while using his eyes to explore every corner of the room until he laid his sight upon Kohaku. "Young Maiden >w< ~<3" Stated the fox cub happily while trying to free himself from the familiar's jaws which firmly carried the cub until reaching their plates. But as soon as Volpeo set foot on the floor he was already sprinting towards Kohaku, nudging against her feet. "I've found you young maiden. Is breakfast ready? Are we having breakfast on the courtyard?" The cub appeared to be excited and happy to see the maiden, unlike Volpeo's adult form who pretty much devoured poor Kohaku's tranquility like a small bucket of popcorn with every encounter they had.
Kohaku forced a smile on her face as the two kitsunes appeared in the kitchen. "We have inari sushi left over from yesterday. It's still good. I'm going to make mochi today as well so we can have it as a snack later." she replied. Opening the steamer that held the inari sushi from last night, she plated several pieces on each of their plates, as well as her own. "I'll be out in a bit. Go ahead and eat, alright?"

It wasn't hard to keep volpeo away, with a single portion of the sushi over his bowl the kitsune was more than happy to start with his meal. The familiar on the other hand walked softly to position itself between Kohaku and Volpeo, creating a blind spot for the maiden to sneak out from the kitchen without Volpeo noticing. With a single nod at her master, the familiar proceeded to act casually.
Kohaku smiled and affectionately rubbed both their heads before heading out to another part of the realm. The library was paradise and prison all at once at the moment. She was sure that the answer to their problem was written in one of the scrolls. Picking up where she left off, she began poring over the text. "It's going to be another long, long day."

Despite the famliar's brave efforts, it would appear it was hard to keep Volpeo away from the maiden. While the familiar indeed bought her some time and peace it shouldn't take more than two hours before the steps of small paws could be heard tipping over the library's floor, filling the silence held within the walls as he approached Hirano. Sniffing her clothes as if to make sure it was her, the cub would run a couple of laps around her. Rolling, yawning, jumping, stretching. Apparently Volpeo didn't knew the meaning of standing still. Few moments later, the familiar arrived, unlike Volpeo, the familiar had learned and dominated the art of quiet steps. Sitting next to her master. The familiar would simply puff a sight, before curling next to her master's chair and observe cautiously Volpeo's actions just to make sure he would at least cause the less disturbance to Hirano as possible.
Kohaku felt any hope of getting out of the contract slipping from her fingers when something suddenly clicked. And how appropriate had it been that the cub form Volpeo had walked in. It was perfect! "That's it! Why didn't I think of it before?" Unable to contain her excitement, she jumped up and squealed (rather loudly, one might add). "Volpeo, all we have to do is find out what your purpose is and complete it. Then the contract will be complete. So, hurry, what were you doing before the contract was formed? Was there something you were supposed to do?"

The small kitsune jumped in hype at Hirano's excitement. "hurray young maiden ~<3" Replied Volpeo with almost as much excitement as the maiden, save for the fact that he would appear to have no idea what the excitement was about. Jumping over her lap, he would then nuzzle against Hirano along with giggles. That was until the maiden asked him what was his purpose or what was he doing before the contract was made. "hmm..." Volpeo paused, yet his tail was still as energetic as always. "I was visiting elder chan, I went to visit since it was my home before I travelled and get another home far away. But I sealed my new home to chase an evil force that threatened it. So I went with elder chan for council. And then Maiden chan appeared and hugged me, spoiled me and made me delicious treats ~<3" Added the little cub before going back with the nuzzles. The other familiar puffed lightly and sighed hoping Hirano wouldn't mind the cub. OoC:
Kohaku contorted her face in a bit of confusion as she finally figured that the memories of his human form and cub form were a little, well, different. Taking what little she knew to be true, she nodded. "This could work.Yes, completely feasible. I guess somehow, I got stuck helping you on whatever you have to do. The best course of action I see now is to go and visit the elder. Find out what you really had to do. Something tells me I interfered before the task was fully assigned."

"Are we seeing elder chan?" Asked the small cub while his tail began waving with increasing speed before the familiar fetched Volpeo from Kohaku's lap so the maiden may find a little space for her to be relieved from well Volpeo's cub form itself. The tiny kitsune on the other hand kept observing curious the rest of the room while being carried by the familiar. "Yound maiden chan are you a witch?...how have many magic books here. Are there cooking books? Are you a magical chef?" The cub had enough energy to run on a training wheel and power up perhaps the whole shrine for a good ammount of time. So it would be understandable that Kohaku could get tired of him with ease. Thus The familiar tried it's best to instruct Volpeo to be a good familiar, but with such a short attention span. Volpeo was either chasing butterflies, running around the shrine or trying to nuzzle against Kohaku every time the familiar left it's guard down.
"Hm, well, yes. I sure hope that I do not end up intruding, but what must be done has to be done." Kohaku said after weighing her options. Surely the elder would not mind especially since the situation involved one of her own. She had been kind enough during their first encounter from what little time they had. "I would not say I am a witch per se, but it works either way. I'm not a magical chef, but I can do my fair share of magic." she replied calmly. It was a surprise that she had grown accustomed to the blaring energy emitted by the young kitsune given how much trouble he had caused just from running around. "What do you think? Should we go see the elder now?"

"Then you CAN do magic, right? so you are like a magical young maiden right?" The kistune cub would continue his futile effort from releasing himself from the familiar's grasp. "Oh I want to see Elder chan too." Volpeo looked excited by the idea of paying a visit at the kitsune tree.
OoC: Would it be okay? I don't know if relms is available at the moment o . o
Kohaku gave a little nervous laugh at the kitsune's constant questioning. "Yes, yes. I suppose you could say that." she replied. Getting up, she began to put back the ancient, heavy scrolls in their rightful place. She figured that those who had even made the scrolls must have had significant muscle to carry such weight. "Let's go, shall we?" she suggested once she finished putting everything away.
O.O.C// Well, we could always post and just...y'know, wait.
