About Hailing from a herd of similar Usdia deep inside the jungle, Tozlitzin is a scholar and an adventurer, eager to explore the world beyond the isolated herd and learn as much as possible about the world beyond the jungle.
On his wandering studies, he heard rumors of a soquili that was a spirit of learning taken mortal form -- a well traveled individual himself, who apparently readily associated himself with soquili of all sorts, not fearing the meat eaters or looking down on the miniatures, or isolating himself from the Aquatics. While some spoke of him with curiosity or kindness, not everyone agreed with his life style, so some rumors spoke of him as if he were mad, only claiming to have a domain without any sign of truly having one, while experimenting with what was and wasn't viable between races with sick perverted curiosity. Others claimed he simply thought he was an Usdia.
Tozlitzin, curiosity peaked despite the more negative rumors, sought out further information on this Herd of the Angeni of Learning, until he stumbled upon neighboring allies of it who gave him the name of the herd and the direction to travel to encounter it.
After finding the herd, even with a little bit of hoof-in-the-mouth with his introduction, he was accepted warmly by the group, and has taken up apprenticeship under Cuauhcoatl to become a teacher of pantology (all branches of known knowledge or a work of universal information, a researcher of many fields) and assistant in Cuauhcoatl's research, as well as taking up role as librarian for the Yectenehua Library

Tequila doesn't fit into your normal soquili mold. While she grew up knowing both of her parents, they were both more interested in one another than they were of their children. Tequila took off into the world to find her place, making friends of all sorts on the way. As a young adult she was introduced to fermented fruits and mind altering herbs, a habit that she can't seem to put down. While she is always a nice and kind soquili, she becomes overly so when in her altered state. She doesn't understand personal space or have a filter for her thoughts that fly out of her mouth from time to time.
As a bisexual mare, Teq loves the company of either gender. She's open to conversations with nearly anyone, so long as they aren't insulting or rude.

About In Yectenehua, the Wishing Star is a close and familiar companion. Many members of the herd are children given by the spirits to the founding members of Cuauhcoatl and Ikinya of various breeds and species.
However, despite how used to it members of the herd are, it was still something of a surprise to Tequili 'n Lime Splash and Econlockhatchee when Emiko returned home after having vanished for a little while with two small Usdia Baskets that looked related to the three of them, having not told them that she had gone off to leave a prayer to the wishing star. Econ, admittedly, was slightly concerned before the wishing star was mentioned or how the baskets had been simply waiting for her on the edge of Yectenehua Villiage that the mare had wandered off with someone elses kids.
Okeechobee and Thonotosassa were given his Creek Indian themed naming conventions etc etc more about Thonotosassa soon I just gotta chat with Sweens

About Growing up, Johari was fascinated with Magic, Ghosts, fortune telling, the spiritual realm, and death as part of the cycle of life and spirituality. Thirsty for more knowledge on it, he trained and studied become a Shaman and researcher of the magic and beliefs of various herds, as well as trying to figure out how certain types of magic work -- What is it about soaking the common 'basket grass' in a bowl carved out of a certain stone that results in its wondrous abilities to preserve food and act as a secondary womb to prematurely born children? What made the Tunnel of Love left behind by a faire such a great focus for the spirits? How DID trickster spirits get fully grown Usdia into fullsized breeding baskets without their knowledge and transport them to Kawani Village? And why did the baskets snore?

His name is Swahili and translates into Jewel Priest Is Omnivorous and will be learning to hunt and how to identify non-spirit touched animals TO hunt from his older siblings, father, and other omnivorous/carnivorous herd members. Despite being a hunter, will never be able to bring himself to doing live sacrifices except in truly dire situations: Killing something for magic or to give to the spirits seems disrespectful to the spirit of the living animal and wasteful in comparison to giving part of his meal to the spirits/for magic. The only time he'd be willing to do so is in a life or death situation to attempt to feed the life energy of the Non-Spirit touched sacrifice directly into them to help them hold on long enough for help to arrive. Was originally just named Johari (or Jewel) but he requested as he aged to get the full name of Johari Kuhani (Jewel Priest), to represent him better. Wears a porcelain mask created from the mold of the skull of a Wild Horse (not Soquili, but rather their non-spirit touched distant cousins (think Human to Chimp)) that died of natural causes before he found the skull. The inside is lined with cool, absorbent woven materials and set up to be easily washed and replaced when necessary. The horse skull itself has been kept for his private altar and used for special ceremonies.

About Origin
Cuauhcoatl steps out of his longhouse's passage way quietly after a long pause to watch over his mate, children, and grand children, and the baskets from their surrogate breeding with Sapphire. All of the ones that still lived with them, except for one.
Stretching his wings a bit, he walks over to Zira, one of his adopted daughters, and Kikir one of his adoptive sons, watched him with intelligent green eyes, before the two wolves got up to their feet and trotted along side their father.
Zira was the first to speak, her feathered mane sleeked back and her bat-like wings folded tight against her shaggy sides, "Tahtli?* What is it you wanted to show us?"
Cuauhcoatl smiled softly at his daughter, at ease around the large predators, "Look up into the sky and tell me what you see.."
Kikir squinted up a little, "The Wishing star? You asking for another kid for mom I take it?" The wolf laughed a little, tail wagging a bit, "You'd think you guys would be satisfied for the time being: Not only with Sapphire helping, but Cadence is getting close to popping herself."
Slowing down to a stop with a laugh, Cuauhcoatl knelt down and spread his wings. The two wolves cuddled close, hoping to hear more "Not just the wishing star -- see that star just beside it glowing brighter tonight. The wishing star is looking for lost familiars tonight, to help guide them on their way.to loving homes or long lost family members. Dove and Tomo are guarding the herd tonight, so I get to share this with you two.. As you know, found all four of you on our way back from one of the Traveler Spirit shrines, too young to open your eyes, your den abandoned and torn, and rescued you before the elements could take you." He pointed with one of his upper sets of wings, the feather tips seeming to brush against the stars, "The wishing star was glowing bright, and we had been coming back from leaving an offering.. When the second star seemed to flicker into life and made us stall, trying to figure out is meaning. Because we stalled, we didnt pass you before the predator came, and its light was what lit the way..."
Standing back up, he let it sink in as they continued walking a recently added shrine. Taking the chain and pendant that was dangling from the disks of his necklace, setting it on one of the posts, pausing to pray silently before continuing, "So, in remembrance, Im putting an offering out to the wishing star and those it guides home, to help keep those it guides safe in their journeys... And maybe you'll get a little brother or sister who isn't a soquili. Who knows... Maybe a bison? Or a little humming bird. Or another wolf to your pack..."
Kikir nodded, before going up to the post and bowing his head to it,, before plucking off a feather from his mane with a pinch of his paws, sticking it into the soft earth at the base. Zira gasped slightly in understanding, plucking a feather of her own out, having not known what to offer, "May the wishing star watch over those who are lost and wandering, and guide them safely home..."

"Tahtli! Tahtli!"
Cuauhcoatl woke the next morning to one of his caning offspring bounding excitedly in front of him, bouncing back and forth excitedly like a young pup, tail wagging like crazy. The three of them had slept outside near the shrine, having spent the night talking about spirits and the stars, different beliefs and the ones that seemed to be, for the most part, universal in the kawani lands, watching the stars twinkling journey across the sky, "Kikir? What has you so excited?
He opened his eyes to see both Kikir and Zira before him, an excitedly squirming form in Zira's mouth. He blinked in confusion, not quite awake enough to really make sense of the long flipping tail and tiny underdeveloped wings as Zira put it down, and a long tailed wolfpup she had carried gently over came waddling excitedly up toward Cuauhcoatl, licking his muzzle excitedly as it stood up to do so, paws holding onto his nose.
"She was sleeping where our feathers had been" Zira stated, her voice also showing her excitement, "No pawprints leading up to it, I couldn't scent anything, as if she was put there by something not fully of this world -- the familiar star spirit must have found her orphaned and painted her for her new home like you said the legends state!"
Cuauhcoatl smiled softly at the new pup, ignoring the little scratches from puppy claws "I suppose then we should go tell your mother that we have a new pup in our pack..." He stood up gently, careful not to step on the little pup, and scooped one wing down, nosing the wiggling pup into the bend of his wing to secure her in place against his side -- the walk was a bit much for a pup and it was certainly more comfortable in the curl of muscles and soft feathers than dangling from another's mouth..
*Translation:Tahtli (nahautl) means "Father"
Dafina was a gift of the spirits to the family, and hungry to learn. However as she grew, she was less interested in theories and concepts, and more about putting them into use. She became a keen hunter, able to quickly separate the intelligent from the feral minded, as well as becoming a good organizer and planner, helping figure out farming plots and planning new builds to "Yectenehua Village". She's also a planner for festivals and parties, figuring out the time and materials needed to set up in record time, as well as keeping track of supplies.
