Celestia chuckled as Cobalt rushed his statements towards her. A day over 300? Should she be flattered or insulted? Naturally the wise old mare was nothing but pleased with her student. She nodded in agreement, "Starswirl is greatly missed in these halls." The words were soft, but she gave no tell as to whether or not the master of time had truly succumb to old age or if he was simply absent. If officially asked though the answer was always the same; Starswirl is no longer with us.
"Of course." the princess added, endeared by the many questions that seemed to be filling up the young unicorn's mind. Well, young in her eyes-- all of her subjects were young by comparison. She slowed her step to allow Cobalt to catch up to her side, "Ramble as much as you like Cobalt, a curious mind is a powerful tool."
She slowed to a stop as they reached the end of the hall, smiling to the unicorn at her heels. "Complete your task, and all will be granted." She promised Cobalt the access he needed, though the Elements of Harmony were still dormant, powering the tree beneath Equstria, which was why she assumed he might be able to glean more information seeing the Elements of Balance in action. "Now go on, and don't forget; I need a detailed record about the friendships formed here." She added, moving forward to greet the two Princesses. Jin regarded the ponies before her with a sense of awe, enjoying the brief moment of peace and tranquility that came from their presence. They seemed to already be getting along, the bonds between them just starting to bud. Those sweet, noble, brave ponies... ah, well, save for one. Two, technically.
She swallowed down a heavy lump in her throat as Copycat continued to mutter to himself. Her ears drew forward, brows furrowing in a glimmer of concern. She let it go for now, not wanting to embarrass one of their dear chosen ones any more than he already seemed to be. That glance of nervousness surely told that he was trying his hardest to keep those things to himself.
It was Inkbrand she was concerned about, though the elements seemed to call to him his brash language was drawing a slight frown from the more reserved sister. She slowly made her way to her twin's side, finding more confidence the closer she was to the Jade princess.
"The only risk of death is that of our people... our crops are withering, and our rivers run dry... I doubt any harm will come to you. You have the elements at your side, a great power not even we possess. What, then, do you have to be scared of?" She sighed a little, feeling a nagging tug of anxiety that caused her ears to droop. If only she had something to offer. The sinking sensation continued as she wracked her mind for something more. "If the kingdom returns to its once prosperous state, I can offer a bountiful reward. My sister's magic is of jade, my own is of gold... We will offer you whatever treasures you can carry. They're all meaningless to us, you can not feed a kingdom with jade and gold." Celestia had already imported so many goods from the realm of Equestria, but all the gold in the world couldn't sustain a dying land.
Her expression faltered when Forest said she was going home, a brief flurry of fear welling up in her chest, until the young mare explained. She was far too tired for these kind of emotional ups and downs.She returned that respectful bow, relief washing over her expression as Celestia approached them. "I see you have found those that you were looking for." She noted, glancing across the ponies that had approached. "The ship home will leave come dawn, for now you and your new friends are welcome in our castle... there are many guest rooms. I will host a banquet for you all as well." She smiled towards the collection of ponies. "You are welcome to use our throne room as long as you need... for the rest of you, please make yourselves at home. I have one more to accompany you on your quest... my student, Cobalt, will be assisting you all." She gave a small gesture of her hoof towards the orange unicorn.It seemed one more pony was fit to join them, and Jin smiled to behold another respectful and kind pony. These lands were full of hope and joy, and how sweet they were to be so interested in assisting these strange princesses. She gave a small sigh of relief as the stranger assured that he could teach these ponies their customs... what a relief it would be to have another helping hoof to lend towards their cause. She glanced to Yu, allowing her sister to answer the newcomer. She always had a better way with words.holloween-hound I'm fairly sure Celestia would have whooped some a** if anyone was like that in her school xD I think its safe to assume that that student is super done with magic. Depawsit Bowtie is good! >v< Bracelets too haha I'm glad everyone feels free to make them fit in with their character~ that's exactly how it should be. ♥ That's quite alright! I hope you feel better soon! >v<

PLOT ADVANCEMENT
Celestia will now make an announcement towards those who have come to visit the kingdom that the ponies have been found. Some ponies are welcome to stay and offer their assistance, as techno tunes is~ others are welcome to linger around and stick with their
We will be pushing forward again come Tuesday so post as much as you like and Lutz or I will come in and skip forward at that time. Officially everyone will be told that the ship will be departing early the next morning (IC wise), and to either stay within the castle or meet them at the docks come that time. We will then pick up at the Temple in the Ma Empire where they will rest and then face their first challenge.
If you would like to RP out the following night within the castle, sleeping over and enjoying tasty royal foods, please feel free to head into the royal castle so that you'll have lots of time to do so! (You can continue there as long as you like even after we skip forward in here! That way no one feels rushed)
So keep RPing with eachother and the princesses til Tues and you'll see another post like this and a new prompt (like the beginning of the plot) that will let you know the scene has changed.

When the RP involves everyone, such as the arrival towards the temple, we want to try to let everyone get a post in before you post-- so always quote the person next in line for the posting order. We don't want to rush too far ahead and leave someone behind!
However there will be challenges that require only one or two ponies, and in order to keep everything rolling the person involved in the challenge will post back and forth with Izzie (our challenger). Others can jump in if they want, but it will also be an opportunity to take a breather.

Oh, Our Cookies: posty x.x wanted my last post here before we move over that way From the Goddess of the Sun addressing him so, Cobalt gave a smile and a gentle shake of his head. "I am not your student, that would be giving me too much credit" he replied humbly, dismissing the title. "I am Cobalt Lightning, Magistrate Immune of the Equestrian Royal Court. It is my honor to accompany you all." From himself adding his introduction, he return the bow, as was the formality, but his body language would easily state otherwise: To his knowlege, the new pair of royal siblings were just as easy to harm as Celestia herself, which would fall under the 'no better than anybody else' philosophy.
After the formal introduction, and Celestia's invitation, the orange mage peered around the large room, spotting one of the lower-ranking guards that was taking a short break. "Hey! Flare Twirl, right?" he called out, gettting the pegasus's attention. "At your earliest convenience, could you tell the guys in Library N64 to prepare a few copies about Ibexian history, please? I'll put in a good word next time I see Steel Boots for ya." form the proposition, the pegasus's face lit up as if he was promised a reward of a million bits, and took off deep int othe castle.
So, who's hungry?" Cobalt Lightning announced. "The head chef Brawny Steed will make y'all just about anything. Grade A Basilisk steak would be my personal recommendation."

Yu glanced to Jin as her sister moved to stand beside her, her long tail moving to curl around Jin's golden one for a bit of support. She knew she wasn't the bravest when it came to speaking to many ponies at once, and on top of that she was exhausted. The offer made her nod as she looked back to the ponies before her.
"You will be compensated for your time and efforts. We would not ask everything from you and give nothing in return." The offer from another pony that hadn't been chosen made her nod again. "Any and all that wish to assist in this journey are welcome to come so long as they understand that we don't know what we're dealing with. Any and all help is welcome and won't be turned away."
As Celestia returned with another pony, Yu shifted a bit to move away from Jin to receive the princess. It seemed the chosen ponies were content to talk among themselves and some had even taken the initiative to go and pack. She hoped the others would follow Forest Frolic's example. She bowed her head in recognition of the new comer while she fought the urge to wrinkle her nose. A pony that ate meat...disturbing in her eyes, as they did not consume other animals in her kingdom, but she wasn't in any position to speak against it.
"We appreciate your time and energy."

Inkbrand let his ears fall back onto his head in annoyance, though he only shrugged slightly at the princesses words. 'No guarantee of safety' sure sounded bucking dangerous to him, but the two foreign princesses either couldn't get their story straight, or regretted being so forthright with the dangers and were now trying to swallow back their words. Either one made him irritable, but Inkbrand didn't say anything at the mentions of rewards and riches, causing him to visibly perk up.
Well hay, he'd been right. Suddenly, the prospect of a grand and potentially dangerous adventure to distant lands sounded much better in his ears. Maybe he'd even return with enough to give his business the real jump start it needed. Celestia knew is parlor was going to be suffering while he was off rescuing the Ka Kingdom.
Feeling much more charitable all of a sudden, Inkbrand threw up one hoof in a vague semblance of a wave of welcome, though he only half paid attention to the words coming from Princess Celestia's mouth. But for buck's sake, could anypony blame him? When she was right there, all long slender legs and flawless white coat, shimmering mane and tail cast about in a radiant glow? Inkbrand was fairly proud that he managed to constrain his gaze to a mostly acceptable level at Princess Celestia's midsection, though in all honesty, they did wander towards her back more often than not. The grey Earth Pony merely grunted in response to the orange unicorn's - Cobalt something? - words, still mostly interested in his flank watching. The mention of food, however, was enough to evoke a slight growling from his stomach.
Buck, basilisk steak? What the buck even was that? Some sort of foreign delicacy? Inkbrand refrained a shiver as he completely ignored the orange unicorn's offer, instead turning back to Shadow Fire as his lips tilt upwards in a crooked grin.
"Sweet Luna SF, if your face had gotten any more red, you'd have passed for a Changeling," he said as an answer, giving the Pegasus' shoulder another nudge. "And that's too bad," he added as he parted from the other, though his tone of voice was more considering than consolatory, "I feel your pain, brother. Don't think I've met a chick yet who wasn't afraid of getting burned."
Wasn't that a b***h and a half.
The mention of smoking hot foreign babes, however, was almost enough to get Inkbrand salivating, and not just because of the food that was waiting for them. With a light snicker and salute of one hoof, Inkbrand turned and trot away from the others, casting his voice over his shoulder. "I'm bucking starving, come find me at the banquet once you're done with your mooning," he called out. "And don't worry - I'll be there to save your scrawny a** when you go charging off into your heroics," Inkbrand taunted, before exiting from the throne room with a jaunty sway in his step, heading towards food, and possibly armored mares with lethal weapons held at the ready for the slightest threat.
That thought should not have done anything for him, but nevertheless, Inkbrand had to quickly shake his head before continuing on his way, whistling lightly under his breath.

"It is my great pleasure and highest honor, your majesties," Techno Tunes replied at the princesses' responses. He fell respectfully silent at the appearance of Celestia and Cobalt, bowing deeply at their introductions but choosing not to speak. He kept his expression serious and calm, just as he'd been raised to, but all the while he was mentally berating himself for volunteering. Had he really been so eager to meet the royal foreign twins and offer them his assistance that he'd completely missed noticing just who he had offered to teach? Was that tattooed menace even teachable?!
Having briefly scanned the chosen lot as they'd been selected from the crowd, Tech had already had a feeling that his work would be cut out for him, the chosen's manners (or lack thereof) such as they currently were. In fact, part of him had felt obligated to make proper treatment of the Eastern Princesses known simply because the pain of watching them be so blunt and bold towards the superior mares had become too much. He couldn't bear to see the royals disrespected, especially since they had already humbled themselves to such a degree. While they were from a land where the power distance was so much greater than that of Celestia's, Tech was amazed at the patience the pair exercised at the ignorance of these ponies, but he supposed their own impeccable manners forbade them from expressing otherwise. Even so, the slight warning tones of Princess Yu did not go unnoticed. At least not by Techno; by her intended audience and the others, he wasn't so sure.
Tech wanted to hit Ink and Shadow with the sheer impertinence of their words. Making such blatantly salacious, lewd statements about mares, and in front of the princesses, no less! Oh, he would have some things to teach them, that was for sure. Despite his greatest efforts to maintain his composure, the pale apricot stallion couldn't help glaring out the corner of his eye at the purple pegasus and gray earth pony as they headed toward the dining hall. He had a deep desire to follow after them until they were out of the princesses' sights and kick their impudent rumps before knocking some sense into their thick skulls. For now, though, he decided to suppress said desire in favor of accompanying the twins in the case there was a need for him to attend to them. He contented himself with the small consolation that he would be allowed to discipline those rude ruffians appropriately in time.

Come the morning after our chosen heroes, companions, and voluntary accompanies would set off on their epic quest.
As soon as Celestia had raised the sun into the sky, all would be boarding on the train leaving Canterlot. From the Vanhoover train-station to the docks was a quick walk, and once on the large private ship they set sail for the Ma Kingdom.
It would be nearing nightfall when they approached the shores, departing with royal escorts back towards the Ma Temple. The winding road would trail up, and at the end were two giant red pillars, marking the entryway to the remarkable building. Golden roofing, and majestic paintings and sculptures of phoenixes and dragons.

The journey, while not particularly long, seemed to stretch on for ages to Yu. She was worried about her people and what might have happened while they were away, even though it had only been for just a few days. All seemed well as they disembarked from the ship, though, and she and Jin led the way to their castle. It was vastly different from the tall spires of the castle in Equestria, but magnificent and opulent it certainly was.
"Welcome to your home for the time being," she said as they entered through the massive doors. "We encourage you to make yourselves comfortable and get to know the locals should they make themselves known." Those of the Ma Empire were generally a bit shy and reserved, so it might take a few days before their curiosity got the better of them. "For now, I will show you to your rooms. We urge you to get as good a night sleep as you can, for we will start your mission in the morning after breakfast. Should you need anything, there are guards that can be alerted."
She led the group down a few hallways before pausing in front of a sliding door. "The rooms in this hall are at your disposal. There are a few beds in each, but don't feel as though you all need to sleep in one room, or with anyone at all. It might be a good idea to stay in pairs, though...the darkness that resides here seems to be most troublesome at night."
Yu turned once again to look at the group of gathered ponies. "If you have any questions, please ask them now. Jin and I will remain here until you have settled in to your rooms, and then we will depart."

EDIT: I warranted Hallow to skip, since Jace/Asch/whatever name she's using now has not posted in almost a week. 5-6 days was plenty enough time of wait. As he stuck along with the group, Cobalt kept peering around the alleyways and buildings: He had seen seen many of the Ibexian cities and villages already, although from a much higher angle and with the addition of a thick pane of glass between him and the cities. From his facial, expression, however, it wasn't the look of awe but worry and suspicion, as if he was to expect to find the one who was watching them.
Even when they entered the palace, the orange mage, with a pair of saddlebags on either side of him containing a pair of translation books, still couldn't shake the ominous feeling. However, he was still able to show gratefulness and respect to the royal sisters. "Thank you, erm, Yu, and to you as well, Jin. I promise you both we will assist in ending the dilemma as best as we can" he replied with a gentle bow. After his reassurance, though, Cobalt Lightly gently place a hoof onto his forehead with a slight groan. Dristan Rhodes Please slow down on the name changing, it's confusing. 'They better not be making us sleep on the bucking floor.'
An uncharitable and irritable thought to first pop into his mind at the first sight of the red and gold building, but really, Inkbrand thought he was being pretty generous. A long train ride, followed by a longer-a** boat ride, had near driven him up the deep end in boredom, and might have seen him attempting Stupid Things like racing to the top of the mast or balancing on the precarious side perches of the ship had common sense not eventually won out.
Still, even if his first thought of the building brought to mind ponies sleeping on those wooden bamboo mats, even Inkbrand could admit the spiraling beauty and architecture of the place was eye catching. Mostly because he'd never traveled abroad before, so the sights and sounds around him were all pretty much eye-catching.
The most obvious sight his eyes wanted to catch, however, were nowhere to be found, causing the grey stallion to look backwards and forwards with some irritation. Where were all the hot foreign babes?
Inkbrand's wandering mind was brought to a brief halt, however, when one of the princesses spoke up, leading them all further into the building. The Earth Pony let his eyes take in the sights like any good tourist would, but the princesses' words as they reached their living quarters almost brought a snort out of him. Buck no, he wasn't going to go veg out on the cushions! After all that time sitting still, and what with them being in a whole new country and all? Plus, foreign babes! There would be plenty of time to sleep, later. Right now though...
"Thanks for the digs, Your Madge," he commented briefly to the jade princess as he unceremoniously tossed his bags into what he thought might be the biggest room, even if they all looked about the same. "Buck all if I know," Inkbrand called out in a much louder voice towards Shadow Fire, a belated not-answer to his question, "but we're sure as hay not going to find 'em just sitting around!" Without anymore preamble, Inkbrand was heading back out of the living quarters with a jaunty bounce in his step, intent on reaching the front doors again and exploring the area.
It wasn't everyday a pony got an all-expense paid for vacation in a far-off land, after all!

Forest Frolic spent the trip enjoying herself quite a bit. She frequently asked questions of the ponies steering the ship and running the train, her curious nature getting the better of her and her chatterbox nature obliging that curiosity. She also spent much of the trip asking about the foreign land they were headed to, though because she was a little worried about bothering the princesses with such trivial, numerous questions, ended up coaxing answers out of the pony who had volunteered to teach them instead.His name was Techno Tunes, a stallion that Frolic believed to appear more graceful, poised, and feminine than herself, and while he mostly seemed to keep to himself, he was polite enough in answering as best he could. It seemed that his family hadn't exactly come from the kingdom that the princesses hailed from, but they had lived in a nearby land with many of the same customs, traditions, and mannerisms. More similar than that of Celestia's kingdom, at least.She learned what she could from him and was pleased to find he didn't seem to think any less of her for being a mare. He seemed somewhat glad that he himself hadn't been chosen as one of the six gifted and burdened with the elements of balance, speaking something of responsibility, expectations, and his past experiences with them.The way he spoke of them and his demeanor gave Frolic the impression that Tunes had been born into a relatively important family. Not royal, but perhaps some upper-class aristocrats. What made him appeal to her more was the other impression she got of him, which was that he hadn't enjoyed being part of that family in the slightest.
From what he told her, he sounded like he felt guilty for leaving his family and responsibilities, but Frolic saw it more as having the courage to venture into the unknown seeking out his own happiness. Techno seemed grateful to her for her shared perspective and mentioned he hoped to find some sense of purpose and happiness on accompanying the chosen on this mission to return peace to this Eastern kingdom.When they arrived, Frolic was so busy marveling at everything that she almost forgot all the mannerisms that Techno had taught her during the journey. She bowed to every pony she met and they bowed back. She avoided eye contact with those who seemed like they would be above her station and she did not speak unless she was spoken to. But then the princesses had escorted them to their quarters and the others were talking. She couldn't help a small giggle at the commentary of Shadow and Ink.Techno, on the other hoof, was less than amused. He could not believe the things that came out of that tattooed pony's mouth! Fantasizing briefly about strangling Inkbrand with his own necklace and shoving his piercings down his throat to choke on, he didn't notice the very same stallion go wandering off ahead, evidently to search for foreign and exotic mares.
Tunes cast Ink's backside yet another murderous glare...but then his scowl transformed into a malicious-looking smirk as his emerald gaze darted toward the room where the gray earth pony had dropped his things."Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity, Princess Yu and Princess Jin," the mare said with a deep bow, "but I think I'm going to follow Inkbrand's lead and head outside to explore," Forest told the others happily as she set down her own bags in a room adjacent to the one Ink had. "Just for a little while. To stretch my legs and take in the sights. Anyone else want to come?" Her inquisitive, grass-green gaze shifted to Techno, who was already tip-toeing into Ink's claimed room as inconspicuously as possible.He froze. "Oh, uh...no thank you," he answered, giving a sheepish smile as his face flushed. "I think I'm going to...look over the bags. You know, to inspect everything and make sure it's all here." He set his own saddlebags down next to Ink's and busily pretended to look through them. "We came such a long way; who knows what could have gotten lost in between?""Well, okay," Forest answered with a small chuckle. "But if you change your mind, you know where to find us." She turned away to follow after Inkbrand.

The entire voyage had been one of wonder and excitement for the film maker himself. All of the wondrous sights, smells, and feelings! Ahhh, he could just FEEL his muses trying to peek to the surface with each passing moment. His only regret in joining this voyage was not bringing along his writer's pad. Without it he would surely forget some of the more minute details of his adventure. And those were the more important parts after all!
He'd patient throughout the voyage, allowing the wind to flow through his mane. Taking in the fresh ocean air, and just allowing himself to relax. It had been one of the very few times in his life he'd been able to speak in full sentences. A much appreciated break he might add, but soon he began to see the land form and everypony around him gathering to watch as the docked. He was excited yes, but also slightly off put by Inkbrand's way of speaking. He wasn't the most polite of ponies now was he? Never the less he took his leave off the ship, taking note of Shadow's question as he did so. He was right .. oddly there wasn't a single pony in sight across from themselves.
Quite peculiar ...
Following the others into the building, he could feel his exhaustion beginning to get the best of him. He wasn't like all these other ponies .. he didn't seek adventure through physical means. He sought it through his own imagination. He'd always found it to be enough, and he liked it that way.
