The beast was clearly growing restless. The Titan was starting to get pissy too, come to that.
Haha.
This time when the blade sank home, something was different. The Titan rolled its massive back and unleashed a hellish noise, and Taym, unthinkingly, struggled over to Peyton to grab her arm on their way down.
"Bail," he yelled at her over the racket.

The howl the titan unleashed was startling. It made Peyton flinch before a hand closed around her arm and got her moving off and away. Bailing sounded really good right about now!
The ground shook as the beast stomped around in it's rage, and Peyton stumbled, but she bounced back up to her feet and kept moving.

What we're gonna say is that Taym is so focused on making sure Peyton gets out successfully that he isn't minding his own.
We're also gonna say they both have like. The Titan equivalent of sea legs. Everything's all shaky!

Another stumble sent her careening into a tree. Again she shook it off and kept moving. She really didn't want to get squished.

A sudden lurch had the dainty Sun pitching forward, her head colliding rather painfully with a large rock. Everything got a little hazy after that..

Well, there was this to be said for him: even when it was obvious that the coast was clear, Taym went back in for Peyton's lifeless body.
Whether he'd have done that for Shiloh or even Nevada was up for debate. But he did it for Peyton. Otherwise who would brave Rep to buy him cigarettes?
