Frowning at the hasty exit of her friend, she glared at the others. "Well isn't that great. Try to let my sister meet a really nice person and she gets scared off." She slid her hand over her face. Why was it always this way? Was she meant to live a life with only her sister as a companion? The thought was a little depressing, she loved Terra, but Torra didn't want to be alone with her forever.
As soon as she left, Terra felt the air become less tension filled. This only happened when Fae or angels were in the area. "Torra, I'm going off for a bit, I'll meet you back at your home. With that she left in the opposite direction of where Amiera went, but once she knew she was out of Torras range she took off after her scent. She might not be friends with this girl, but she was going to find out what made her so interesting.

Amiera made it to a hidden area in the forest that butted up to a cliff. There in a glade was a large pentagram carved in granite. Flowers grew around it and the path it made led to a large cathedral-like building against the cliff side. Amiera pulled out her flute and played a soft, low note to open the doors of the building before she entered it. Once inside and the doors closed, she sighed with relief.

Terra ran at full speed across the forest tree limbs. She was having an easy time tracking Amiera until a few seconds ago. Now she felt like she was running in circles. She smelled the air, her scent stopped here, but walking forward, backward, and in all other directions she could possibly go, and it was getting dark. "I don't understand. A person can't just vanish into thin air. I knew something was weird, but I didn't suspect something like this." Talking out loud always helped her think and sift through information.
She stopped walking and sat on a large boulder,"I know I heard the music right before I lost her. Which I still don't quite understand. If she is human she shouldn't be able to use magic. But her aura tells me she is something else. She looks nothing like a Fae and neither does she act as such. Terra rubbed her temples in frustration. "This shouldn't be so difficult. I am a problem solver." with a sigh of frustration she calmed herself and started to meditate on the subject.
*Terra what is wrong my dearest?* Chaliste, the spirit that lived in her mind, giving her an uncanny ability to figure things out, asked with a voice like honey. "Oh Chaliste I am troubled, I can't figure my sisters new friend out. She is very human in her features and her mannerisms, but the little things she did when my father friend and I were around her and the fact she just vanished into the air makes me believe she is a Fae but nothing other than that gives me that idea. And her aura is so very complex it is mind boggling." Chaliste studied her for a moment, most likely reading her memories of the girl.
*My dearest, I cannot help you with this. I have never seen such an enigma of a creature.* She looked sad. "Do you know whether she is in fact human or not?" there was a short pause, like Chaliste was mulling it over before answering, *She is most definitely not human. From the small amount of time you were with her, you are right. A human wouldn't be able to tell if one is a demon, angel, or the like. But she seemed extremely tense like she knew. Creatures of light cannot be near the darker sort for long periods of time. And vise versa. But the Fae can be with either, but they do not like either. Being the offspring of angels and demons, they mostly get uncomfortable when around others of their parents cultures if they are the only ones around.*
Terra nodded and thanked her mentor spirit. When her eyes opened she felt more sure that this was no mere human girl she was dealing with.

Amiera sighed, happy that the aura of the demon following her was gone. She hadn't expected to find Torra in her forest, not to mention two other demons.
Demons didn't bother her at all. She just preferred to be away from them. Her father was a king of Fae, her mother a human. She was a nymph, a halfling fae. It made her uneasy to think she might not be able to leave the shrine without being discovered.
She sighed and started to clean out the dust and dirt in the shrine. She swept up the dirt and pushed it out the door, propping those doors open to let in a bit of air. He sparkling wings came out and the color of her skin changes to a deep tan. Her long black hair turned forest green and her emerald eyes glowed as she went into her natural element and showed her nymph side.

Torra grew tired of waiting for Terra to return from where ever she ran off to. The man who claimed to know their father had fallen asleep beneath a tree nearby her camp, so she just let him sleep. Though she wasn't scared of him, he was a little odd for her tastes so she didn't want to continue conversations with him if she didn't have to. Sitting outside her little house, she began to doze in and out of sleep. She never fully slept when people were near by that she didn't trust. But during one of her dozing moments, a beautiful being came into her vision. *Child, I request a moment of your time. I cannot stay for long, but this concerns your sister.* That got her attention, "What about her? And who are you?"
She gave soft laugh that made Torra think of summer, *Child, I am a dear friend of Terra. I mean no harm. My name is Chaliste. I am a mentor spirit, but I also control the seasons. Your sister is concerned for your saftey.* Torra narrowed her eyes, "What about my safety? I'm perfectly fine and am very capable of taking care of myself." Chalistes eyes grew soft and loving. Torra had met many creatures in her time, but Chaliste had to be one of the most beautiful creatures she had ever seen. Though she was hard to look at, she dissolved in a sense if you tried to concentrate to hard on her form, she had long silver hair to her feet, in thick waves, her eyes were a lovely shade of violet, and her face was heart shaped. She had what looked like the old Greek style of dress and no shoes. *My child, Terra has a right to be worried, I looked into her mind and saw what she was scared of. There is someone you need to look more closely at. I cannot say whom it is, or why. But just be careful dear one.*
And with that she was gone, Torra sat straight up from the sleep like state she was in. Looking around she was back at camp and the only other person around was weird guy. "Well..nothing makes you feel more awake than an extremely vague dream."

Amiera had finished cleaning and praying to her ancestors. She set out the new offerings and took out her paintings. She decorated the shrine with paintings of her people, Fae and nymphs alike. She took out her flute and started to play the song of mourning that her people used. It would give her away, but it was part of the ritual.

Some time had passed before Terra realized that she had fallen asleep in a tree. "Heh, picked up some unwanted habits from dad I suppose." The air was beginning to warm, "I guess I slept most of the night and didn't realize." The sky was beginning to lighten, when she smelled honey. Then on her branch Chaliste was there perched like a fairie on a tulip. "Oh! You're actually here! You've only ever visit my mind." Chaliste smiled, *Oh my dearest, I watch over you from everywhere. I never leave you. I only wished for you to see me in a physical form for a change.* She laid a hand over Terra shoulder. *Terra, I must be honest with you. I went to your sister. I told her of your concerns. She did not want to talk to me, I think.* Her eyes held a soft sadness as she said this and the air took on a rainy scent.
"Yes, Torra isn't a trusting person. She's been hurt a great deal and I think that is why I'm so protective of her. Though she doesn't need it physically. But she lets in so few people that she needs someone. It was nice to finally see her open up, even slightly, to another person. I just wish I knew why she bothered me so much."
*I have done some talking with a few of the other spirits around this area. They have told me a great deal, but to get this information I had to make a pact with them. I cannot tell you who this girl is. But I can tell you that you are correct about her being a human, but you are also right about her not being human. I cannot say more or I can no longer be a part of your life in any way.* That shocked Terra, she started to feel panicked, "I can't lose you! I need you with me!" *Then do not ask me to find more for you. I will speak with you soon my dearest one.* She pressed a soft kiss on Terras forehead and vanished.

Amiera was walking back to the city from her shrine. She had finished what she needed and begun the journey home. Her body had returned to its human guise for now. Unbeknownst to Terra, Amiera was walking just under the tree she was sleeping in. Being lost in her own little world, she didn't notice the demon girl. She only kept walking, playing her flute in the same sad tune of mourning that all Fae knew of. Being a half blood made no difference now that her father was dead. She was a Fae princess and would one day rule Summer Fae court. They knew she was there and stayed hidden in the presence of their princess and the demon girl.

Toma stretched as he stood up for his daily nap. Looking around himself he spotted Toora. He smiled as he walked over to her. "Good morning young one. I see your sister has yet to return."

Torra looked up at him with a slight grimace. "Terra and her were abouts are really no concern of yours. She'll come back when she is done doing what ever she is doing, and for another thing, what made you seek us out in the first place?"
After she finished talking she noticed a soft sound of a flute, which could only be Amiera. She smiled at the thought of seeing her friend again. Then remembered why she had left so quickly before. Glaring at him, "Can't you go bathe or something? You smell terrible."

She tensed when she noticed the man was still there. She wanted him gone. The feeling of terror in her heart had become guilt. She knew she needed to tell Torra, but she couldn't do it with that man there.

Jumping up at the sight of Amiera, Torra ran over to her. "Hey, I'm sorry about yesterday. I just wanted for you to meet my sister. She is my best friend, and now we are friends I thought you should meet. I never expected what's his face to show up, I don't even know who he is."
While saying this, Chaliste came into view in a tree not far off. It was just a quick motion when she appeared Torra had almost missed it. Their weird dream conversation replayed in her head. *My child, Terra has a right to be worried, I looked into her mind and saw what she was scared of. There is someone you need to look more closely at. I cannot say whom it is, or why. But just be careful dear one.* That sentence was the only clear thought she had.
She took a step back and looked Amiera once over. "Would you like some breakfast? I'm afraid we will have a guest, but you needn't pay him any mind."

It was obvious something was off about her and any creature could tell.

Torra stood speechless looking after her. When she heard Terra approach from behind, "I don't understand what I did." She hung her head and sighed, *No tears. I should have listened to my father about humans.* She thought mostly out of sadness, but also because she felt it was true after all.
Terra laid a hand on her sisters shoulder. "I don't believe it was you per say. I think she didn't like all the extra company from nowhere, and" She gestured towards her fathers friend who had found his way into the food and was stuffing his face, in a most horrific fashion, "Him being so rude and a little scary probably didn't help any." She tilted Torras chin up so they were looking at each other, "I did like her. She, she seems to be good for you." As she said it she knew it was partly true, Amiera is a very nice young lady. But her conversation with Chaliste couldn't bring her the whole way around to accepting her. She couldn't tell Torra that, so she decided to be comforting instead for her sister.
