[[OOC: I don't even know if this is okay, but no one was able to reply to my Q&A question the couple times I asked it before, so I'm... posting the text I would have done for her sacrifice / shrine claim here. I must not have posted it originally :/ All of the Journey AND tastings were done completely on time, however!]]
The Sacrifice
For once, Amarus returned with hope. The tea she'd brewed, the one that returned a memory of Mort to her, it made her feel at peace. Calm. She felt a sort of sweetness she hadn't expected wash over her, and she was grateful for the respite. She knew, in a distant part of her, they would merely take it away from her as soon as possible... and even if they did not, she knew to protect how good the memory actually made her feel, lest it alerted someone and they found a way to distort it.
She was becoming, apparently, more than a little paranoid. "I have returned, and done as you had asked," she said. She saw the pedestal named memories, and knew she would ahve to give up all those good feelings... Still as she sacrificed to it, she felt a sense of joy that stayed.
Even if she didn't know why she was happy any more.
The Shrine
Well, she'd had good reason to be paranoid: the memory she'd cherished was gone, and she didn't even know it. Instead, all she had was a vague sense of hope... But it would have to do. Amarus accepted the latest blessing, bowing slightly.
Hope, joy. Any of these things, if they could lessen her burden, she would gladly accept them.
A darker, quieter voice inside her said: What about when you lose them, and the pain is even harder to bear without them than it was before?
