Once R'an and Syriacuth are out of Weyrlinghood, Natai would be more than happy to have them at the Weyrhold-in-training! Always need more beastcrafters and dragonriders. They'll have to have graduated first, though; unfortunately, they aren't equipped to properly train Weyrlings and even Natai knows better than to essentially kidnap a weyrling from their Hold. Once they're both adults, Weyrhold away!

A staff member would have to answer about the Holdless bit but Natai specifically would be hesitant about taking in a Holdless person. Without knowing their definitive background, she'd see them as a possible danger or a liability.

As long as staff okay it, you're welcome to make the character, but I really can't promise results. In-character actions equal in-character consequences, and your character is probably not going to have a good time of it at all. As long as you're okay with that, though...

So, I want to run an idea by you. I'm going to be customing in a brown wher and handler I have in another Pern RP, who can be found here. In their history the handler is mainly a tannercraft Journeyman who was posted out in the middle of nowhere, mostly making leatherwork supplies for farmers and such. I'd be interested in having DF!her be posted somewhere in the vicinity of Natai's future wherhold, where she could be easily encountered by Natai. She would then be able to assist Natai and her efforts (though not necessarily for free, unless she could be sure it would be worth her while. If/when more people show up who would be in need of future leatherwork, like riders, she would be more than happy to assist their efforts in exchange for their patronage. smile ) Is this is idea agreeable to you? If so, how populated is the area Natai's trying to build in, and about where would you say the nearest collection of farm cotholds would be?

Also, she has a ferret!wher, and ferret!dragonkin gotta stick together. I kinda hope I can get her a ferret!flit sometime, just to complete the trifecta. razz

Edit: Oh, I'll also be getting a blue dragon whose rider is a Minecraft Journeyman. H'ten doesn't care much for the conflict between the weyrs and wherholds. She thinks they all have more important work to do than fighting amongst themselves and would rather be mining than anything, but she sticks with Trine because someone has to fight Thread and they need help rebuilding. She'd be happy to help with Natai any necessary stonework, once she hears of the need.

I have 3 that would probably be most interested in a new Weyrhold. Kh'men (whom she met at the Hatching Feast), his cousin Ahmenna, and Kallista. Kallista is a former runner who has played messenger most of her dragon rider adulthood so she would know lots of different places to meet and talk safely.

OK! I'll have her application say she's living in the general vicinity and whenever she's approved, we can set up some sort of RP between them and let them hash things out. smile If nothing else initially comes of it, Natai will know of a skilled craftwomen in the area who's willing to be friendly.

Also, Musk will probably have never seen a dragon in his life and would be SO EXCITED to meet Iachixth. biggrin

Becka is going to be joining Natai (well.. Bereck) as soon as Phasianth is out of Weyrlinghood. She'd move now if it was possible but she's staying at the weyr because that's best for Phasianth right now.

Narisa/Ceph totally will do what they can to help out, even if Trine is not happy with them. She's their friend, after all!

I also have a rider and handler I can toss your way for things. Arlii and Eri kind of got stuck at Malvren, and are a bit pissed about it. They don't like any of the crap going on and would be ALL FOR a Weyrhold. Especially if no one cares what color Eri is.. or that she's an aytpical!

Then there's poor Tabi and Tabatsk |D They are actually a very sweet handler pair, but were unable to leave Malvren as well. And felt they probably wouldn't be accepted anywhere else. She's not a fighter and Tabatsk is... a tiny fearful thing xD; They would both adore being helpful and being someplace that won't hate them for being what they are!

Sure! I can set something up tonight if you want, unless you have an idea? I can have Natai/Iachixth going 'WHEEE LET US EXPLORE' or some such silliness. As for wher Mustela and Musk live, you can pick anywhere nearbyish. I was going to say 'THESE ARE THE HOLDS' but really, anywhere is good so I didn't. ;;

Natai has SUPER STRONG FEELINGS about atypicals. They would be welcome with open arms. ;; I'm trying to figure out how to get the word out to Malvren - do they know anyone/have friends over at the Weyr? Siata is my bronzehandler so they might know her. (Granted she's likely to be terrified of wherholder wherhandlers after her capture but still.)

Natai is like 'NARISA MY FRIEND I NEED A HUG ;___;'. I can totally see them exchanging letters or something.
