Novel of Tragedy Farferalloie I'm a male FLAUTIST. That was really ticking me off as I read the previous three pages. I guess none of you know it's flautist and not flutist. :/ I'm the only male flautist in my highschool band. : 3 Flautist and flutist are both words and they both mean the same thing. Please be informed the next time you try to state "facts". Everyone I know just says flautist : / Along with my band teachers.

My band has two male flute players. XD One of them is annoying, but the other is cool.

  Actually guys who play the flute are smart. Cause' when they go to a flute camp they're surrounded by girls. SEE!! They're smart.

We had a male piccolo player three years ago.. now he goes to the California School of Arts. He plays a lot of woodwind instruments, actually.. and hates drummers because ..well, the section leader back in that day was very mean to him because of his choice of instrument..
But, I think people think of it as a 'girly' instrument because it's high pitched, possibly. Still.. talent is talent, and guys can play flute just as good as girls can, and vise versa. Go male flute players, and female trombonists/percussionists!

Just for your information, I kindly will state that flutist came out during the 1600s, while flautist was created in the 1800s. Me... I play the flute. Not the flaut. Flutist was created longer before flautist was. I think those who say flautist just want to pretend they're so much better, when really they're showing how uninformed they are.
Now, I kindly state. YOU state the facts.
Oh, and your band teachers may be band teachers, but give me the confirmation that they are FLUTE teachers.

Mini-Negative Hey guys, we rock, not only girls can play flute!!!!! wOOt for first chair!!!!! in my band, there are only about three female flutist and the restr are guys!

we have 2 out of 27 flutes xd one is amazing, he's a freshman 1st chair top band, he's so good he made all region band, gets all the solos exc, exc. can you tell i envy him? lol
