Gale and he had separated. It was one part good, two parts bad, five parts inevitable. Still, the moon hunter was at a loss. He was supposed to defend, yet now was left to defend himself. A stairway down, a decent into the bowels of whatever heaven or hell this place was made him hesitate, it made him worry and fear. Nothing was as it seemed, and Dis was far too content. Far, far too content. Still, Marcus took every hint, every little nudge from the vampire, listening with less than words and more towards will.
By the time he reached the bottom, the sight of Halloweeners, Horsemen even, didn't make worry. The irony of ironies, they very thing used to kill a race might end up consuming the hunters just as well. Dis found it rather interesting. The notion he was a true immortal holding fast in the Vampire's opinion. Blue eyes counted those present, relaxing as Gale was present as well, if out of it. "Come on Gale. That's not how a future division lead acts." Jason, Ceres, Ryan- Moons, but all trainees, no other full hunters.
Hell what did he expect, he was the only moon hunter. Just his luck. Always his luck. The other hunters, the usual group, got a look of apathy, of tired and worn and general 'I am so ******** done with insanity can this mental mission from hell be over yet?' "Please tell me someone was able to contact a lead or assist before they went down? My phone's been out but-" Maybe someone would have had better luck.

The hiss of her name had her turning around sharply looking no less frightened and on the verge of getting ready to attack. Those wild eyes stared at Shun before they glanced around him at the Hunters. This had just been a set up the entire time hadn't it? They had lured them here so they could take them all back to the lab. She didn't want to go back to that place. She didn't! She couldn't!
The longer she thought about it the faster her breathing had become her arms wrapping around her middle as she started to rock. There was no need for insanity here she was paranoid well enough on her own. The lycan was pretty sure they were all doomed, trapped down here like mice in a snake cage.
Crimson orbs darting back to Shun she tried to focus on his words. Pull herself together....Pull herself together? That hardly seemed possible. Not in this situation. She opened her mouth like she was going to speak but the added stress had robbed away what little voice she had and the way her lips were moving made no sense.

Coming down the stairs, Deryk nearly fell, but something had prevented him from doing so. Ariane and Jude weren't with him now so... he really wasn't sure what had done that. It made him nervous. Fidgeting, he just quickly went down the rest of the stairs, eyeing everything with caution.
There were a lot of people down here. Hunters and Halloween alike. Oh no. Was a fight going to break out? He inched on back, keeping Tooley ready in case something happened. He didn't want to be caught unawares in case this place turned into a battle field. No.
There were soft voices all around in general. Hushed tones. Were they mocking him?

Alexander's first few steps down were slow and careful. He didn't exactly have a great track record with stairs, and this was a set that he couldn't even see the bottom of from where he stood, though the fog obscured and hid a lot from his already halved view. Still, despite his precise steps, his skeletal foot slid out from under him on one of the rounded, carved slabs of stone, and he could feel himself begin to stumble, arms flailing as he fought to regain balance.
And then, oddly, it was as though somebody grabbed on to him, steadying him just until he was able to stand on his own once more, the touch there and gone as quickly as it came, startling him almost more so then the near fall had done.
It was not to be the last time something like this would happen on his steady descent down the stairs that never seemed to end. The zomboil's shambling gait combined with his awkward clumsiness just did not mix well with walking downwards. But every single time he stumbled, something would reach for him and steady him once more. It was rather unnerving, and almost got to the point where he wished he could fall, just for some semblance of normalcy. They only thing that really kept him moving along were the voices from below. Some familiar, and others not. He had no idea if Maggie had followed him down, and was so busy concentrating on his descent that he never turned around just to check.
After what seemed to be ages he reached the bottom, only to find himself in an incredibly spacious area. A quick glance around had anger building up inside of him already. Hunters. Of course their had to be hunters down here. He moved forward, turning around finally to see if Maggie had followed him, only to be confronted by a stone wall in place of stairs. Startled, his face automatically tilted back to have a look up, where he could just barely make out what appeared to be a light in the distance.
Well....s**t.
Hoping that the ghoul was okay, he moved to the side, keeping to himself, searching now for anybody he might recognize. He thought that he felt something brush against his leg, but a glance down showed him nothing but fog. To one side he could see a small group of students, Xiu among them and...was that a flash of green he spotted.....? His gaze averted, his face contorting with the pain that dug deep inside of him, memories of what he had eventually forced himself to do to Yin suddenly bombarding him, making him cringe into himself, his shoulders hunching up as thoughts of hunters in their midst was momentarily put on the back burner.

He looked up, caught sight of Bix, and exhaled slowly, relief flooding into him. But then his eyes flickered farther, catching sight of just what - and who - "grouped up" meant, and he gave a small shake of his head, gritting his teeth together.
"No thanks," he said, and pushed himself up and away from the albino, running a hand through his hair, which was overlong and hanging in his face.
Marcus' voice cut into his thoughts, which was both a relief and an irritation altogether.
"Stop that," he said, and his voice was low, forced, speaking through his teeth. He pressed his fingers to his temples. "Stop it. Don't call me that, it's not what I am."

Billy was just beginning to notice the amount of people injured. Really, he hadn't been so. He wondered what they had encountered in the fog. He nodded at boil's question. "No one has attacked anyone else. I think we were waiting to see what the fog threw at us first, or for someone else to throw the first blow."
Billy for one, didn't overly want to fight at the moment. No one was attacking him or people he knew yet, and he was more worried about the curls of fog about the room. Then again, he didn't trust the hunters.
"Mitsu!" he repeated. She wasn't calming down at all. In fact, she was getting worse. Quite frankly, seeing her like this was making Shun feel more on edge himself. Not only that, but he was getting more pissed to see that just the sight of hunters had triggered such a bad reaction for the lycan, "Listen to me. You need to calm down. I will not let them get to you. I swear. But I need you to be here. We're in this together, remember?"
The Reaper looked over his shoulder to try and look into her eyes. Though, now and then, he cast a glance back towards the gathering hunters. Why the hell were they here anyway? They should have all been killed off by the insanity.
When Xiu spoke, his attention flicked to her briefly, but he didn't say anything. She had already wandered off anyway. Cursing lowly, he just faced Mitsu once again.
"If any of those ******** hunters even tries to come close, we'll rip them apart. Ok? Take a deep breath and stay with me."
He let out a breath himself, and managed to catch Roch's question.
"Not yet."

His harsh tone hit her as he called out her name again making her jump. Closing her eyes for a moment she tried to focus and clear away the hysteria. Her chest was so tight with anxiety now it was hard to breath but that was what she focused on. Breathing. Just breath just breath. Maybe it was all an illusion like what they had seen before. So many things in this place had turned out to not be real. Why wouldn't this be any different?
After a few good slower breaths Mitsu dared to open her eyes but the Hunters were still there. She tried not to panic, only glancing away to look at Shun before looking back to make sure the hunters stayed where she could see them. Swallowing down her fear was very much like swallowing a mouth full of ice cubes. It was a cold burn that went all the way down her throat and spread across her chest before it finally settled in her belly making her feel sick. She didn't like being afraid but what had happened had been too recent. It wasn't likely something she would ever forget and she wasn't even sure the memory would fade. At least not with them here like this as a constant reminder.
Taking another deep breath on instruction Mitsu vaguely nodded, her eyes becoming slightly unfocused as she glanced around the room. After a while her head grew still her gaze distant as her mouth drew into a tight thin line.

Whether or not he was ready to start facing those whom he had attacked the baku had noticed him and it was time for him to accept responsibility for what he had done to her. She approached, gaze sweeping over him, and he stood still, letting her examine him, defenses not down as there were others about as well as the fog but careful not to make any movements could be thought of as threatening.
The awkward wave fit how he felt rather nicely, and he raised a long, clawed hand of his own in response, trying to give her a tentative and awkward smile of his own. "Greetings Miss Xiu-Ying," he said with a respectful bow, hand moving to tug awkwardly at his scarf, clearly not on edge. His hand brushed against the centipede residing there, steeling his nerves slightly. He had to be a good boil, he could not just shirk from responsibility. He had to make his mother proud. "I feel that I must apologize to you Miss Xiu-Ying, I am very pleased to see you safe." Well, as safe as any of them were.
Rep started pacing again, straying a little further from the group of hunters, he had no interest in maintaining this tense status quo. Every furtive or resentful look they got thrown their way he aimed to meet, daring them, goading them. Try it. It felt good that the monsters were keeping their distance, to him, it meant they were afraid. He was not.
He just needed to find one to land a hit on. Cast that first stone to get things rolling.
he ignored the fallen angel, of course he'd want to preserve the kids. The people like him.
was his slightly bitter reply.
In an attempt to burn off some steam - and to mask and sudden movements he might decide to make, he started doing some warm-up swings with the axe, getting his own little space in which to do so. Where the hell was Ace?

Shun tensed for the moment when Mitsu jumped. From there, he looked back and forth between her and the hunters, making sure that none of them were making any advances while he was trying to get his lycan to settle down. After awhile, she did seem to calm down a bit. She wasn't rocking, though he noticed that her eyes had become a little unfocused. The Reaper furrowed his brow, hoping she wasn't going to black out on him here.
"Mitsu?" he said more softly this time, trying to see if she was still with him mentally. If she was blacking out, it was going to make things a lot harder for him. If they had to move anywhere fast, he'd have to carry her. Or if he needed to fight, he'd just have to hold his position. No matter the case, he wasn't going to leave her behind. Especially not with hunters here.
Gritting his teeth, he chanced turning his back to them so he could face the werewolf more easily, as well as to carefully place his hands onto her shoulders, trying to figure out what he could do for her.

The ghoul hesitated at the apology, but then she shook her head, lips curving into a smile. "No, there's no need for you to apologize. Please do not feel any guilt for something that was not your fault." She reached out to very lightly--and very briefly--rest a reassuring hand on his shoulder, pulling it away a moment later.
"I'm also just glad to see that you're safe. I'm not sure what is going to happen here, but it still brings me some comfort to see that many of our friends are still alive." Whether it was a good thing that they were all gathered in the same place, however, had yet to be seen. As there was nothing happening yet, the baku could only wait in anticipation for something to occur, whether it be a giant creature suddenly showing up, or a Hunter deciding that enough was enough and attacking one of them.
This did, however, give Xiu plenty of time to run around and check up on some people she had not seen for a while, whether during the time they were wandering the fog in the normal Haunted House or even earlier. And speaking of people she hadn't seen for a while...
"Alex!" Upon seeing the zomboil nearby, Xiu immediately went to greet him with a hug, drawing back to look him up and down for any signs of serious damage (though considering that he was a zombie, it was a little hard for her to tell). After confirming that he seemed to...relatively be in one piece, she pulled him back a few steps to where Yin was.
"How've you been?"

Soren was not going through the door, he had decided. But if they were going down the stairs...it was easier to just follow along. He tromped down the stairs, boots landing heavily, tendrils of fog brushing past him to keep him on track. As he continued he lost sight of the others, simply keeping in mind who was in around him, though his mind was partially occupied otherwise, thinking of what he had seen. What he had felt.
He began to see forms, strangers, some familiar from running his booth, but it was his name that he picked up on. A priestess calling for him. He began moving toward the voice muffled by the fog, hearing her call for Senga. Simply hello. It helped him to find her, moving toward her until he could reach out, hand going to rest lightly on her shoulder. The fog had separated them too often, and his normal advantage that came from his height was all but lost to it as he tried to glance around, eyes straining to find other horsemen.
Were those voices? As Eva descended the stairs, she thought that she could make out a number of voices but they were awfully faint. Although she could kind of make out that some of them sounded a little familiar, it was difficult to determine what any of them were saying. And Otto...
"Otto?" Was he still behind her? She wasn't so sure, but she couldn't bring herself to stop and look back. Whenever the thought of pausing even crossed her mind, something urged her to continue on...so she did, walking down the stairs until she finally reached the bottom. When she finally turned back with the intention of checking if Otto had followed, she only saw a stone wall and a faint light up ahead.
...W-what? Where did...?!
Squinting, Eva turned to survey her surroundings, looking a little alarmed at the realization that there were a number of other figures present, and not all of them were hunters. Although she was usually not so nervous in the presence of Halloween students, the girl was most certainly a little more anxious than usual, and she was quick to press herself up against one of the walls. Her gaze flickered about as she searched for familiar faces among the crowd, eager to find some company to stick herself to.
