So I have to re-learn everything again?

So I have to re-learn everything again?

Yeah. It's in the interest of starting everyone at an even playing field alongside plot reasons. If your character Angel was still alive in the same form he'd be around as old as Yamamoto if not older. He'd be too powerful for us to safely play alongside.

The only thing I'd say is that in reality you'll have access to some things you previously didn't. For a start it's likely you'll have Shunpo from the start and with our expansion on the Kido list you'll have more Kido than actually existed in canon. Furthermore with the 3 Kido you get to select from 21-40 which could be custom made for yourself you'll be able to make something that's good for you.

So yes. You are going to restart but you'll be losing some things to gain others.

Okay, so looking at the does and don'ts for the skills. It really doesn't matter how many you have invested in a certain tier as long as the base tier (tier 1 Average) has the same amount as the upper tier?

As long as the tier below is greater than or equal to the tier above.

So Tier 1 should be >= Tier 2

And Tier 2 >= Tier 3

And so on and so forth.

You could do something where you don't even reach Tier 5 or only have one Tier 5 skill which might give you more room for skills overall.

You could also have half the skills at around Rank 2 though I wouldn't advise that.

OHAI!

So I was going to finish up my profile and was reading your super awesome guide thingy.

Did I read right that we can have 3 extra kido that are unique to only our character? Because thats awesome.

Yes and no. I'm sorry for getting your hopes up a little too high there.

What I'm actually saying is you get three Kido in that area that you specialise in. They can be either canon or non canon or new however once you make them they become public.

I was aware the idea of having 3 unique Kido sounded appealing. Believe you me. However I also think we should finish the Kido lists.

Therefore I was thinking of cutting a deal with people that when they design Kido for themselves they can have a grace period of three months where it only belongs to them. After that the Kido goes into mainstream usage.

I'm trying to balance out the whole 'Kido only I have' and 'Finishing the lists for everybody' with this strategy as I think 3 months is long enough to make advancement and then want new higher tier Kido.

*sighs* do we have to restart everything? We worked hard so long time ago I think we already have some powers like shikai, kidos, or etc like that. But they might not be happy to learn everything again as waste their time to train.

I've thought about this. I really have. There's a part of me that wants to keep the status quo but another part of me thinks with the way we're trying to move away from that.

I understand you're annoyed. I understand you feel you've been cheated out of things you've worked for. However at the end of the day you haven't.

What we want to do is we want to allow people like you to achieve Bankai and use Shunpo and have far more customisability than before. Before you decide we've taken things from you let me tell what you're getting at the start in return. You're getting around 33 new Kido for you to use. Yes you have to give up your old ones but there aren't even 33 Kido you would know because there aren't that many in canon. You are gaining Kido.

Second you're getting Shunpo right from the start. This is because Shunpo can now be upgraded. I'm giving you access to a move that previously was only used by a select few for a start.

I can tell you the only thing you're actually losing is Shikai and possibly a few Kido but you stand to gain a lot more. This new system is tailored towards people like you who have never been crew because I know damn well what it's like if you're not somebody's favourite.

In fact you know what. Me and Fefnir are in talks about being able to get a lesser form of Shikai so bloody early (though still not instantly) it won't even matter any more.

In addition to this. Your thoughts on training. You'll be glad to know training is going to work differently anyway. Rather than making boring posts about practicing Kido we'll be working on a system whereby you can learn new skills while on missions or doing something more important to yourself.

Well, I do not want to achieve Bankai even higher kidos until be a Captain and I been trained a lot and try my best work hard to be Vc or higher but I never make it to be Vc or higher.... Do I have to give up my old character??? You have a better reason to give up a character

what is the point of losing Shikai and few kidos? Thats what I trained a lot. Excuse me, I do not like that when you said that "Damn" or cuss but Only Rp's fine. If you keep saying like this damn or cuss

I gave up my old character. You don't think I'm just applying rules to you which I didn't apply to myself do you? No-one is exempt. Not me, not you, not Fefnir. If there is one thing we're trying to do is make things fair and to communicate things. I have no intention of giving anyone ,myself included, preferential treatment.

You also don't have to give up your character. You have to give up your character's powers temporarily and regain them. There is a difference. I would never force you to give up a character because it may have some sentimental value for you.

Also this thing about being a Captain. Fefnir, who is one of the oldest still remaining Captains in the Sereitei decided to remove Captains and Vice Captains because they became the only focus of the plot. You cannot become a Captain or a Vice Captain any longer so there. The idea you will obtain Bankai upon becoming a Captain is nothing short of impossible as it stands now.

I don't know if you realise we've died four times in recent years. The old form where we used Captains and Vice Captains was failing because A: There weren't enough people to fill all 26 slots and race leader slots and B: It shifted all focus onto a select group of people who were either crew before or who the crew liked.

Also if you've already got Shunpo then it's a non issue isn't it? It's neither a loss nor a gain. And do you know what. I searched for your training.

Here it is.

http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=18818051

The one thing that strikes me is you didn't even fully finish it. Basically you added a skill to your profile that I can't see you even finished the training for and then spitting in my face when I let you have it anyway.

And maybe Haseo you should be less standoffish. You are reading too deeply into things. I will not say 'damn' any more if you're so deeply hurt by it but I also trust you not to over analyse and misconstrue my intent. I don't want to argue with you but I will shut down this thread the moment it becomes one.

Let me ask you something, Haseo. Can you remember the last time you had fun in this guild? I can. The last time I had fun in this guild was in January of 2008. That was when I was promoted to captaincy. From that point on, this was a job for me, and it was the same for every other captain we've had. When we aren't forcing out 6 paragraph posts or fighting in the crew forum, we're beating ourselves up for not meeting the impossible standards we set among captains for just what we should be. I've had to deal with this weight for so long that I can barely RP anymore, because that perfectionism cripples me. It forced a lot of good people to quit because the stress was too much for something that's supposed to be enjoyable.

Do you know what I got for my trouble? Jack s**t. Being a captain doesn't give you respect or status or power, it just gives another layer of responsibility. The things you get respect for as a captain are things you were already doing, like RPing well and being a decent person. The nametag doesn't change a damn thing and it never has. Not for 5 years, and not now.

I wouldn't wish captain rank on my worst enemy, Haseo, much less on good people like you. I don't want to see another unsuspecting victim walk into that trap again.

Fefnir, I have always been trying my best to keep up with guilds battling with other gaia users since 5 years. I always wanted to try out to be a vice-captain or higher rank but I never make it to the rank level. I know how to have fun and I'm still working on my grammar if that's what is the problem. I can tolerate high level of frustration and hard work on this guild. I understand that I can't get things my way.

I remember you have two accounts which is red_moon_wolfess because you were a Captain of the squad 1 and squad 9. It is not FAIR for ppl who has been working hard try-out to earn the rank to be a vc or higher. I know every crews who had two or more accounts because I investigate and figured it out who it is and whom account it belongs to.

Red_moon_wolfess is a totally different person, Haseo.

As for the first part I'm just shaking my head trying to figure out why you can't understand that their will be no one promoted to the rank of Vice captain or Captain. The reasoning you're coming up with is entirely different from the one Fef is trying to get across to you.

Regarding Red and I being the same person, you're wrong. I dated her for almost two years and have known her since she was my captain in BSS. COV can vouch for this, as we've met in person. Regarding the rest of the crew, the number of mule accounts is far less than you'd think. Feiy, Michiko, and Bullene each had a spare account which they used for different races of character, and Smeeko had one ranked and one unranked shinigami. Barring those, and they never held a position as a captain or VC with the spare account, there were no other mules among the crew.

It's not that you aren't getting the spot, it's that no one is getting the spot again. Your ability to have fun gets crushed by the pressure of being a captain, and it doesn't matter how qualified you are, because no one can ever be good enough in that role. Trying to live up to Captaincy will destroy you or anyone else who tries. Can't you understand that I'm trying to save you from that disappointment? Don't you get that I'm keeping this rank from everyone because I don't want to ruin RPing for you like it got ruined for me? Can you not see how hollow a victory captaincy is, and how little reward you get for achieving it?
