Twiggy was a sleepy little thing as Lee found out the hard way. Half an hour after starting out and the lazy little turtle had dropped onto his belly sound asleep. Lee was desperately trying to refrain from comparing Twiggy to Wartortle but it was difficult.

"Maybe I should've gone with a starter that wasn't a turtle," she muttered as she shook the Turtwig awake. "Hey come on. We've gotta go a little big further before you can just sleep like that."

Begrudgingly Twiggy stood and shook himself off to follow Lee.

Further up the Route, Night would be running towards who know's where as he continued on his journey. The thought never occured to him that he should have gotten a map. All he was going by now was instinct. Suddenly, a growling in Night's stomach would make him stop in his tracks. Grabbing his stomach, Night would let would feel yet another groan coming from it.

"I'm hungry," Night said with a groan. "C'mon Patch, let's stop for a qucik lunch break. Could be a good oppertunity to get to know this Pidove." Patch nodded, feeling hunger rising in his stomach as well. Looking around, Night decided to eat under a shady tree near the route.

Taking off his backpack, Night would sit under the tree and dig in the bag for food. "Here we go," Night said, pulling out a rice ball. "Patch here's some Pokemon food, but you'll have to share with Pidove." Tepig looked to the side and groaned before taking his half of the Pokemon food. Reaching in his pocket, Night would take out Pidove's ball and throw it into the air, letting the bird join in on lunch time.

"Here ya' go little fella," Night said, holding out a hand full of food. Pidove would land on Night's shoulder and begin pecking at the food as it ate. "Oh yeah," Night realized as they ate, "I never gave you a name did I. Think I'll call you Silver. I would say gray, but I don't really know if you're female or not."

The Pidove seemed happy with the name and rubbed its head against Night affectionately. That was when he just guessed that it was female, since he doubted a male would do that. Munching on his rice ball, Night allowed Patch and Silver to rome around free as he got rid of his hunger.

"Hm?"

Graham heard someone call his name, turning towards the sound of the voice. But it was kinda odd, considering only a handful of people actually knew his name. And then all of a sudden something slammed into him, causing him to lose his balance and crash to the ground.

Seemed like this was one of Alyss's hugs. Or was it a 'tackle-glomp-that-could-take-down-even-large-Pokemon?' He wasn't sure. But the girl had gotten off him and apologized for the spacing out and the hugging. Graham got back onto his feet before dusting himself off and readjusting his askew glasses.

"It's alright. A little more warning next time would be nice." he said. "Did you find any new Pokemon?" he asked.

So Alyss still hadn't found any new teammates to add to her party. That was too bad. When she asked about who he had recently acquired, he let out Miror B. the Shiny Lotad and Lloyd the Ralts. "I picked these two up recently." he said.

He then recalled them back into their balls before looking up at her as she said she'll try not to knock him over next time. WHICH MEANT THERE WAS GOING TO BE A NEXT TIME! D8

"Let's go look for some more Pokemon." he suggested.

Graham followed after Alyss back onto Route 2 before venturing into the tall grass. After a bit of searching, he stumbled upon another Wooper. However, it was defeated by Miror B.'s Absorb.

After retrieving the lost Poke balls that had been used, Alyss took a look around. It seemed like there should have been a Pokemon to pop up, but nothing was showing up for her and she sighed. "Dang and I wanted to get a new partner."

The Tackle was enough to daze the little dog and the veteran was thankful her throwing arm hadn't weakened too badly. It was unfortunate for the Poochyena as the cracking sound of the Pokeball making contact with his head was enough to knock the dog out by itself and Twiggy winced at the sound.

"Note to self: don't throw the Pokeball at seventy miles an hour when you don't have to. Especially not on beginner routes." She scooped the Pokeball up and attached it to her belt. Poochyena - now nicknamed Poochy (and now it was known why Lee didn't nickname her teammates often) - wouldn't be able to battle until a visit to the Pokemon Center was made. Lee probably did more damage to the thing than Twiggy's attack.

"Gimme a second," said Lee as she dropped her bag to the ground and pulled out a stake she would normally tie her tent down with and some rope. After a few seconds of quickly braiding the rope to a good thickness and shortness she tied both ends into loops, one of which she wrapped around the stake before stomping it down into the ground.

Acting quickly she released the Poochyena and looped the free end of the rope around his neck before running just far enough out of his reach. Twiggy sat beside her as the dog bucked and pulled at the leash while growling and snarling fiercely. He would be wild for a few days yet but since Twiggy was more than capable of taking him out and with Lee experienced enough to know when he wouldn't be a danger.

"It's going pretty well. I just caught my first new teammate thanks to Twiggy," Lee responded, smiling as the little land turtle rubbed his head against her leg and made happy-proud sounds. At that reminder she brought Poochy's 'ball up and checked his health. He wouldn't want to battle anytime soon because of the knock to his head but he could still easily walk around. Poochy for his part tried to charge Lee and yelped as the leash yanked him back into place. It might not have been the kindest method but Lee wasn't about to rush off to a Pokemon Center with a bloodied hand either. "Calm down and I'll let you off the lead."

Poochy growled and laid down, ears flat on his head. Twiggy allowed himself to be lifted into Lee's lap and petted. The girl pulled a can of soft food out and hand fed her Turtwig while the dog watched on. He'd cotton on quickly enough if he liked the smell enough. Judging by the curiosity making it's way onto the pup's face her trickery was working.
