"Pepin, hello!" she said to the other ghoul as she not only called her name but also now came to stand near herself and Freya. It was always good to be surrounded by the familiar though she didn't live for it as much as she used to.
Lattice waited for Freya's next orders but only paused when a boil addressed her directly and offered her a flower. Her brow furrowed behind her mask as she reached out to tentatively accept the gift. All this talk about needing an escort and so on was leaving her a bit at a loss.
"We are fine as long as we stick together but we are here...To shop together for a gift," Lattice explained not sure how to explain further without Freya's guidance.
"Prey? Are we being hunted...?" This sounded dangerous! Wait..Are there Hunters here? She started to look a bit worried now.

((Elden is a Quest)) He was still hunched over, thumb jabbing in the glitch-ghosts direction.. but his ears were pointedly focused on Malkav. Something he said triggered familiarity. It triggered an image he could associate with! Bees.
Like, the bug. Like the bug boil.
A blue hand reached forward and grabbed the cup on Malkav's table, throwing it into the air without the intention of picking back up off of the ground. This had caught his attention, perhaps it would catch theirs?
But it didn't. Conversations much like the vampires were being had.. Elden could hear them, a mush of sounds with words here and there popping up; none said close enough to put a sentence together. So he watched the crowd in the distance continue their banter, eyes keenly searching for a stray antenna or the wings he had been craving as soon as the bug boil was in sight..
And once he saw what he was looking for, Elden reached back and grabbed the vampire by the arm of his sleeve to give a good pull.
"Tar~" Releasing his surprisingly strong hold, the spriggan bounced his way over to the group, stopping short not to look back. He assumed the vampire would follow if he chose, and if not; aw well. He stopped to stare hungrily at Vero.
Although Malkav may have assumed the look was for that particularly well equipped ghost ghoul.

(( Malkav the Mad, quest character. )) He was starting to like his new friend. Though he made no sense to Malkav, he still managed to make sense. Sanity inside insanity, isn't that what it was? He was certain that his friend was as certifiable as he. Without missing a beat, the vampire jumped out of his chair to follow the demon. It seemed like he was about to make a pass on the beautiful bouncing buttocks. This he had to see! They had been joined by another and this one could speak properly. In fact, he had asked a question about magnetism and ghouls. "I have no doubt of that," he answered though he wasn't sure if the question was even directed at him. "There's something to them, isn't there? Their lips, their eyes, their curves. The slenderness to their necks. The weight of their unconscious body in your arms. It's like stumbling upon the a bomb with a big red button attached to it. You know it's dangerous. You know it's going to blow up in your face but you can't help but click it time and time again. Yes, ghouls are like big red buttons attached to bombs."

The look Elden gave him was not lost on him this time; though its true meaning was. Vero blinked in response, not able to discern the strange language he was speaking. "Vero," he offered, thinking perhaps having a name might facilitate better communications for the party.
He then turned his gaze back to the group, listening to the vampire's words. "We do not believe any of them are reapers with bombs," the small ghost responded as his dark eyes scanned them. "But we know of ghouls with explosive tempers who have caused others to become unconscious. Is this the same?"

"Nah," Freya leaned in and whispered into Lattice's ear. "We are the hunters. Always remembers that, Lattice." She held her hand up and curled the fingers, making a little animal sound. "Mrowr."
Then she turned, flashing a brilliant smile at the boils who'd come to call. "Well, gentlemens, how nice of yeh teh has such good tastes. Whatcher names, hmm?" She happened to hear the comment about the weight of an unconscious ghoul's body in arms, and gave Malkav a wary look. That was certainly not one way to catch a ghoul's attention.
Well. Depends on the ghoul, at least.

"Name's Enzo Valentino, babe." Enzo gave a bow with a flourish of his hat, a few cockroaches suddenly dropping from his hair to his black polished shoes. Still grinning, he reached to snag T.G around the shoulders, hefting him up like a beloved pet, "And this little rascal took the longest time to house train, lemme' tell you girls, but he does look awfully cute in that lil' jacket of his, eh?" Girls liked boys who were good with animals, right? O'course. And Mr. Valentino was nothing if not good with animals.

The kick nearly threw him off his feet, but managed to move out of kicking range. "As if you could manage one of these ghouls on your own." He hissed back. "Try for someone in your level." He said under his breath to the other boil before smiling sweetly at the other ghouls.
He took out a silver seed to toss about idly, and was also interested if they all had someone special - not that it would stop him but it would dictate what route to take. At Lattice flustered, he moved in, there to sooth her. "Don't worry about it. I'm rather good at keeping predators at bay. It would be only right to see you all were safe. I couldn't sleep at night if I didn't." And that's when the shouting ghoul from before shot an arrow of humiliation his way. He went from runaway scarling to minipet wonder in less than an hour.
"I'm not a minipet." He said through clenched teeth, trying to maintain his cool. "...but I do plenty of tricks I'd love to show you later." Spin it. Always spin it. You had to be charismatic to win others after all. He'd kick the cushions in his room later for such a comment. It took everything in him not to point out he grew 2 millimeters in the last month.
Smiling to the buster of the ladies, he went into his pocket, pulling out his card. "The name is TG." He said, offering the card to her. "And what, pray tell, is your name?
And again, all suave maneuvers were taken away as he was lifted. LIFTED off the ground. He had no problem with heights. He loved them. He had a problem with BOILS PICKING HIM UP!
If he could turn any redder, he just did, and a sharp tail stabbed right into the boil's face. "Get off me, you lug! You couldn't even train your hair to behave!" He continued to let his tail whip at the boil's face, letting the sharp end do as much damage as it could. He hoped he disfigured him - and not in a handsome way either.

((Elden is a Quest)) Malkav was off on another tangent. Not one that seemed to please the ghouls in the mix of things..
While Elden.. ?
Well, the spriggan was in a state of surprise. His mouth was held agape, eyes wide and pinned to the insect who not only spoke, but formed sentences just as confusing as the vampire had.. Sure there had been hives of bees that whispered things into the wind back home, and most animals out in the forests had some kind of voice in which to communicate..
But this one.. it had intelligence. It had a voice all of its own. There were no echos of its hive, no sign of them either. And this bee was GIANT. Enough to feed his entire village! "DraÃochta.. " He whispered at first, slipping past the others in a trance. Vero was his target, a blue hand twitching as it was extended outward; attempting to brush against the thorax of this magical.. "Feithid.. !" A pause, hand shaking as it nearly met with the insect's form.
"VeRO." The commotion, particularly the lift of a strange looking red Imp, was acknowledged with a smile. Oh.. that looked like fun!

If anyone was going to escort these ladies it was going to be Pepin Molyneau... but for now she was totally intrigued by the fur coat and horns Enzo was holding up. "Can I hold it?" she asked now as TG spoke. "I wanna see a trick~" she giggled and clapped her hands.

[ this is a quest student, Richard ]
Richard, well, he liked being a ghūl and he liked the holidays. Well no, that was a lie he hated the holidays and he hated coming to Amityville even if it meant he got away from whatever those Boogymen wanted from him. He'd come to the maul because going to a play sounded really bad and he didn't feel like sitting through people making asses of themselves.
No well, that would have been entertaining, but he was at the maul and well there were people everywhere. People meant he could either talk or be a complete d**k.
. . . . . Rick liked being a d**k.

((Playing my quest Britannica)) Brit twirled around the central tree of the maul, entranced by the pretty lights. "Christmas Time~ Christmas Time~ Nah, nah, nah, nah its Christmas Time~" Not watching where she was going as she sang along to the music Brit didn't see her twirl taking her right into another person, crashing into them in an undignified head on the maul floor. Eyes wide she turned towards them, "Oh my jack I'm so sorr- LEGOLAS!" Brit jumped them in a happy hug, it was her friend!

((quest is Sebastian LeBlanc)) Seb had been so good. SO good. He had gotten to the maul all by himself without getting lost. All he was charged with was the simple task of buying more ingredients for his master's spells. That was it. He was going to go to the fashion stores on the way, of course, but overall his task was pretty simple. It was going to be cake.
Brit took that cake and turned it into a long, 3 day long quest with many sidequests and lots of talking.
Still, Seb would be lying if he said he wasn't happy to see her. She had been pretty nice to him at the festival, and he never really had a chance to get her squeemail or anything like that. Crashing to the floor wasn't all that great though.
Carefully, so as not to look like a pervert, Seb pulled her waist up and off of him, and then shook his head. "N-No, my name was Sebastian. Seb-a**-chun," he worded for her. For the record though, he couldn't quite remember her name either. Britanny? Breanna? Something like that. They had only met a few times after all.

Freya giggled at the antics of the silly boils, especially the little red one that may or may not be a minipet. She bit on the nail of one finger, looking painfully coy, and leaned in to give TG a very close and personal look while he was in Enzo's arms. "Red." She stated plainly. "Is such a pretty color." She smiled, and lifted slightly to reach up and tug on Enzo's hat. "Is nice teh meets yeh silly boils. I am Freya, and this is my friend Lattice." She straightened up and watched Pepin clap her hands in excitement, biting her tongue to keep from laughing. Pepin was so adorable, there was no denying it.
The whole time, she held Lattice's hand firmly, refusing to let her go.

Alette noticed the strange creature that was Richard at a distance(?) and gave them a curious look. No longer staring searingly at Van but rather relaxed fully with a gut full of hot cocoa. Certainly not something you see every day, at least he thought as he eyed them over. It took him a moment to summon up all his hootspa enough to call out to them. Not angrily but certainly loudly. " Hey!"

(( Quest here. I need more art of her as more feminine, so, she isn't that manly. I swear. I want to find a more attractive ish appearance for her and such, and I don't know what her lower body looks like yet so... Aha. Sorry.)) She didn't like being in the Maul, it wasn't a place one would associate herself with. However, she did like her minipet, Gremele, and she had run out of his favorite food... there wasn't really any other place she could go. Not without taking a few hours. So, fine, she'd deal with the crowds of boils and ghouls, eyes flicking around as various numbers occasionally popped above their head, grimacing slightly. She edged away from a group of particularly frightening appearing ghouls, jealousy aching in her heart for a brief second.
Ah. She had forgotten how long it had been since she came here.... she had forgotten the layout completely... Dark eyes spotted a group of ghouls and boils around her age, not spotting the numbers that she dreaded, and approached the group despite the fact that she really didn't want to. Gremele's needs came first.
Wringing her small hands together, the girl stopped a good distance from them, fidgeted with her hoodie, and found the hood, flipping it over her red hair in seconds. Good. Adjusting the hood so her horns slipped through the holes she had cut in earlier this ear, she approached them once more.
"Hey." Ah. Hey was such an appropriate thing to say. "Err... Do... do any of you know where... where that minion store is? I... I forgot."
'Jack. This isn't going well. I should have quit while I was ahead.'
