Though he remains emotionally detached from others of his kind, he has devoted his life to studying and understanding these strange creatures and their motivations. Because of these studies, he has learned to portray himself in a charismatic manner when dealing with others, though it is all a facade. He is highly analytical, whether it involves solving a simple puzzle or mapping out the complex motivations of an individual, and once he sets his mind to a task, he will stop at nothing to see it completed.
His detached nature is simply the most easily recognized sign of a deeper issue; he harbors many other more subtle traits of a sociopathic nature. She is sharp and observant, noting early on that her sister's noise seemed only to irritate their mother. As a result, she kept her tongue stilled except when necessary while growing. Noise meant you'd be seen. Good hunters were quiet. Mother said so. And Talla wanted to be a good hunter.
Though not as out of touch with her emotions as either of her mothers, Talla strives to make herself so to be more like them.
