|
The Battle for Venus Temple is an RP dice game to determine who will win the rights to control the sacred temple of worship for the Goddess of Love new den of the Angwi naga clan.
Each side will have 1000 points. The first side to lose all their points, must accept defeat and declare the winner the true ruler of Venus Temple. [Or the side with the highest point total when the event ends will win.]
The two sides are:
Angwi Naga Clan
Venus' Retinue
Role-play is not required, however it will be handsomely rewarded and increase your side's chances of success. Many of the game's prizes can only be won with RP.
[ How to Play ]:
Each pae can post once a day.
Dice totals reflect how much health (group points) the opposing team loses.
Base Dice Rolls:
Teenagers with no RP - 1 D8
Teenagers with RP - 2 D8
Adults & Demigods with no RP - 1 D10
Adults & Demigods with RP - 2 D10
Deity with no RP - 1 D12
Deity with RP - 2 D12
Venus' Retinue NPCs & proxy IPC (no RP) - 1 D10
Angwi Naga Clan IPCs, NPCs & proxy IPC (no RP) - 3 D10
!! NOTE: A roleplay post only counts if it contains at least 150 words (about an inch of text on a full-size window) During the event, some pae may earn additional rolls based on RP.
Some days there will be special bonuses for certain numbers rolled, and there will be random events based on roll combinations!
There are a number of NPC Naga, Venus Cherubs (her mellons), and a few NPC Harpies available to engage for one-on-one combat for anyone wanting to practice or just 'take down' an opponent.
New NPCs and surprises will be added as the battle goes on.

[ Rules ]
Only one roll per day, per pae
Do not delete posts.
The roll total represents the amount of "damage" the pae did and is deducted from their sides points.
Points, rolls, and next day's bonuses will be posted around midnight each day. Please do not post a new day's rolls until after the closing post, so you don't miss out on any bonuses.
You may not kill another pae with your role-play.
You cannot control your opponent's actions - give them a chance to accept or deny the action. As a guideline, if your pae rolled higher than your opponent, use that to decide if blows land.
Role-play can be as serious or silly as you want it to be. You don't even have to engage anyone if you don't want to, but still include your pae's own action adventure through the battle if you want a chance at the RP prizes.
At the end of each day, the staff will make a post with a roll for each NPC or proxy to add to the daily totals.
Player-controlled IPCs can win prizes. Staff IPCs are required to help without chance at prizes. Staff-owned pae can play and win, but will not be allowed to judge any category they are eligible for.

Each day a number (or set of numbers) will be posted as the bonus. The bonus will be different each day, so make sure to keep up with the closing day's post!
There will be random events triggered by rolls and RP with items that can either help, or hinder.

Day: 1
Who is engaged? Angwi Clan
 Back and forth the clan leader slithered at the temple's entrance, arms folded behind his back, eyes narrowed and looking to the distant horizon. Nearly a year since they had claimed this location as their own had passed, and only now, on the anniversary of their loss, did they choose to strike back in uprising.
How predictable.
A strange sort of twisted smile twisted the naga's lips as the faint outline of pae began to show in the distance. So Venus' children had managed to rally some support from the general populace? Very cute indeed. This ignorant mass must have been made naïve to the futility of such efforts or deceived into thinking that they had a right to be involved in matters that did not concern them. No matter, their clan didn't reign supreme in these lands without reason.
Even in resisting the Gods, they would not sway. Much had happened in this year, and their clan was now much stronger. His children were nearly fully grown by now, their strength surely more than those outside.
It would all begin soon.
Turning, he returned inside of the temple to his clan, the smile all but disappearing from his face. His eyes were hardened, carefully looking to each and every one of them before him. It pleased him how they had all grown. Some of them, he couldn't help thinking as he looked to the more aggressive of the boys, to Takshaka and Zulfiqar, would need to be forced away once this was all over. They threatened the stability of the clan. For now, though, their feelings of pride and self-preservation would prove useful.
"Children!"
His voice echoed through the various corridors and chambers of the temple, powerful and sharp to ensure that their attention was on him.
"A challenge comes from the horizon, threatening our claims on our home."
"Threatening the security of our clan!"
"They think us weak, that they can overpower us with merely a difference in numbers. They are fools!"
"Prepare yourselves at once. Take all of your strength and use it to bring our foes down."
"Defend not only yourself, but all the clan."
He glared at them all, cracking his knuckles.
"Any hesitation, and I will remove the disgrace with these hands."
At this he turned, returning to the entrance. Surely all eyes followed his figure as he moved, his malice hanging in the air. There he stopped, the cruel smile returning to his lips as the droves came. Let them come. They were nothing.
Looking to his clan, he removed the sword from his side and raised it to the air.
"For ANGWI! We will defend our home and crush our enemies!"

Who is engaged? NPC Harpy for now
Each day had been harder to resist, harder to hold off taking his father down. Sometime his siblings were almost tolerable, on those days he just plotted. Almost a man now, it was nearing the day he'd take his place as king of the clan. Then those annoying siblings and father would take off with their tails bent.
As such, he almost ignored his father's call. It would suit him just fine to see the clan leader fall. Heck the attackers would do him a favor to take down some of his siblings, especially his sisters. He'd point them to Sen'ka and Anali personally.
That wouldn't impress mother, oh that thought alone pulled the male from his reclined position. Going after a few harpies could yield him feathers and trophies to bring back to her. Surely she'd be proud of her boy if he did that! Hissing full on, he made a show of going near his father to acknowledge, "They will fall!"
From there, all those days of practicing against shadows, the mental battle prep would be worth it!
Fangs fully extended, the young male launched him self right at the closet harpy that dared to invade his home. Though be honest, he was glad for it. This gave him the chance to prove himself to his mother! Speaking of, the teen was distracted in his fight, he had to know where she was. Nothing would spare the fool that tried to attack her on his watch!

Who is engaged? Priya
 Outrage. The strongest feeling here. She may not have been vigilant on a search for her grandmother, but she surely would fight to reclaim this temple. That this home had been turned into... Ugh, it wasn't even in the tastes of her grandmother anymore. It just looked terrible! The demi shuddered, trying not to think of what had been done by these weird snake pae. And that was about the time she saw one of them lunge at a feathery woman. Okay, those snake pae were terrifying!
Abby’s eyes widened, not really knowing what she was supposed to be doing now. Her outrage was most certainly there, but Venus help her, fighting was so not her thing! She glanced around, looking for something easy for her to lift. Not having brought at least a stick was a really really bad idea. Thank the skies Aiolos had come with her to try and save Venus. Hopefully he was better at this fighting thing. Mid-thought, she finally spotted something, right next to one of those snake pae. A shudder ran through her as she moved towards it. Surely Aiolos would see her as she moved, but with all the other pae that had shown, things were more than a little crowded! Abby shook herself, willing focus to get whatever that thing on the floor was.
“Move over” She all but growled, shocking herself with her tone. The demi made to shove the snake pae out of her way, hoping to buy enough time to pick up the object near their feet.
