Rabbitfoot shot an annoyed glance at Serenepaw, who had told him to calm down. It was not her place to tell an older medicine cat what to do, but he didn't say anything else to her. It was up to her mentor to put her in her place. He let out a low growl as Moonblaze paused for a ridiculously long time. She was glancing at each medicine cat as if she was carefully planning out a speech. His fur prickled in his impatience, insulted by her rudeness. However, when she finally opened her mouth, all that poured out was a stream of words. This she-cat just wouldn't stop talking. She must have been readying her breath for this tyrade, he thought unhappily. Wolfspirit's death shocked and, yes, saddened him. The young medicine cat had just recently received his full name. The loss of a life that had barely begun was always tragic. He bowed his head as Moonblaze gave a eulogy, wondering if his spirit was watching them. Then the white she-cat went on to describe how BreezeClan and StormClan basically made a deal, trading medicine cat training for herbs. He narrowed his eyes and shook his head. They could have at least consulted with the other leaders. The way they executed their "deal" almost seems like they didn't care what the other Clans thought. Foxstar won't like this at all...
Rabbitfoot would've probably resigned himself to accepting this new development without further argument if Moonblaze hadn't said exactly what she said next.
"if you doubt my word and challenge me, my new apprentice, or our clan’s promise with one another, you are surely challenging the will of StarClan and have proclaimed yourself a heretic to the way of which we medicine cats must follow with diligence and complete faith in."
Slowly, he stood on his feet and glared at her with the uttermost disgust and fury blazing in his angry grey eyes. "How in StarClan's name could you say that to us?" he growled, lashing his tail. "Or, should I say, to me, since clearly I'm the only one who 'doubted' this strange little pact between StormClan and BreezeClan." His tone became cold as he continued, "I saw the way you looked at me. Judging me. Like I'm wrong because I want to know why StormClan and BreezeClan showed up together. Well, I had every reason to be suspicious, didn't I? You've formed a pact, that's what you've done. I won't argue that StormClan would be better suited in this situation to train Mosspaw, but there's something called common courtesy where you DON'T go off and make deals like this without speaking with the other leaders first. Do you have any idea what NightClan is going to think about this?" He spat on the ground in frustration. "You know what my Clan is going to think! We've been in the dark for so long and everyone knows it. My Clan is more than eager to prove itself to be better than the other Clans." He sighed and added, "Of course I know StarClan approves it! It's insulting that you'd assume I wouldn't know that. It's the best course of action, after all. You didn't need to hang them over our heads and call us heretics. We're not idiots, Moonblaze. But finding out this way...Foxstar isn't going to like it. He would've wanted to speak to Galestar and Silverstar about it."
He looked around at the other medicine cats, sadness glimmering in his eyes. "I'm not against any of you, though you obviously think I am. But please, listen to what I have to say, and don't judge me because I'm not super polite about the facts!" "NightClan is becoming more and more alienated from the other Clans. With this unknown threat that we're all aware of - this stone whatever - the Clans need to stick together now more than ever. Don't assume that I'm not willing to help just because my Clan seems hostile. We need you as much as you need us. Fadinghorizon, if StormClan needs more herbs than what BreezeClan has, just let me know. Stop pretending like I'm heartless, because I'm not."
He gazed over all of the medicine cats present, stating, "Our job as medicine cats is to keep our clanmates alive, and if this new threat is anything like the Slayers, many cats are going to die. I'm all for helping as many cats as possible. Don't you ever doubt that." ▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Mosspaw,xxxxShe-cat xxxxxxxxxx Medicine Cat Apprenticexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Breezeclanxxxx, If you can't feed a l o t of cats, then feed just o n e.───────────────────────────────────────────────── Mosspaw flinched when of the cats growled at her and Moonblaze. That was not good. She really wanted to make a good impression, but that wish seemed futile. The young apprentice opened and closed her jaw a couple of times before the other apprentice spoke up... In her defense? She blinked a few times before looking up at Moonblaze, then back at the other cats. Would she have to tell them what happened or would her Stormclan mentor do it for her? She wasn't sure if she would be able to get through an explanation properly. The newly made apprentice brought her questioning gaze up to Moonblaze, a hint of a plea hidden in her green pools.
As if answering her unspoken plea; Moonblaze said she would explain and Mosspaw relaxed a little bit. She thought it would be easier having the snowy medicine cat explain things; but she'd been wrong, it wasn't any easier. As Moonblaze spoke of Wolfspirit's last moments, Mosspaw's head bowed and her gaze was fixated on her paws as if they'd become the most interesting thing ever. She hated that Wolfspirit's last moments were used up to make sure the earth didn't take her. And when Moonblaze went on to say all sorts of good things about her former mentor; it didn't make her feel any better.
When one of the other medicine cats spoke, Mosspaw lifted her head to look at him. His worlds baffled her. Why would he be judged like that? It wasn't very fair at all. The young she-cat flinched a bit when he spat. Nightclan had been in the dark? Why would that happen. Mosspaw looked over to Moonblaze in confusion before looking back to the tom. "I don't doubt that sir..." She finally murmured when it seemed that the tom was done speaking. She didn't think someone "not being super polite about the facts" was any reason to be judged, but then again; she didn't know much about the tom.
Mosspaw pawed at the ground for a moment before looking around at the other cats again. Taking in what each cat looked like. ───────────────────────────────────────────────── D a r e to reach out y o u r paw into the d a r k n e s s, to pull a n o t h e r paw into the l i g h t. ooc;; bloop?

LOCATION: Edge of Moonpool COMPANY: Mosspaw, Rabbitfoot, Serenepaw, Oceanmist, Moonblaze OOC: We should get dreaming people XD
No sooner had she greeted every cat present and was going to comment on Moonblaze and Mosspaw’s tardiness, the two she-cats showed up. Fadinghorizon could tell that Moonblaze was trying her best to act normal and as if nothing was out of the ordinary, but Mosspaw wasn’t so skilled at hiding her nervousness. The little black and white she-cat was close to melting into the ground in fear, and she shot the apprentice a sympathetic glance. Rabbitfoot of Nightclan was known to be hard with his words, and he might not take to this role change well. Sure enough, he growled out his protests, his words sharp as thorns.
”Rabbitfoot, this -” She was soon interrupted by Serenepaw, who tried to soothe Rabbitpaw by telling him that the clans must have a good reason. Fadinghorizon inwardly cringed in preparation for Rabbitfoot’s indignant yowl, and sure enough it came, but not in the form of a yowl. Although Moonblaze tried to soothe Rabbitfoot’s temper by telling him the whole story with every little intricate detail, half of which she was sure Rabbitfoot had not taken in, Rabbitfoot seemed to be unwilling to change his stand. That was until he spoke, although the words that came out of his mouth were the last thing she was expecting him to say. He sadly commented on the fact that Nightclan is becoming more and more alienated from the other clans, something that her naive mind has not considered.
With all the conflicted feelings that was growing in the crowd, Fadinghorizon grew slightly uneasy. Rabbitfoot’s talk about a new and unknown threat was blunt but true, something that none of them liked to think about, but the threat was out there, plain and simple. However, as important as clan matters were, there were other more urgent matters at this moment. ”Everyone, please, now is not the time.” Fadinghorizon stepped forward and meowed a little nervously, unable to hide the quiver in her voice. ”Rabbitfoot, we would be glad for your assistance in times of need, so thank you in advance for your offer. If I lack any herbs to treat my clanmates, you'd be the first one I'd come for assistance. No one’s assuming that you’re not willing to help, I’m sure Breezeclan came to Stormclan for a good reason. That aside, while we’re standing here prattling about other unimportant matters and asking why Moonblaze, as a Stormclan medicine cat would train Mosspaw, a Breezeclan medicine cat, we’re quickly losing moonlight. Before the half-moon passes, we should seek guidance from Starclan instead of standing here arguing. What would our leaders think if we returned empty-pawed because we’ve been standing here gossiping like a couple of elders?” It was unlike Fadinghorizon to speak up like this, and after her long speech she shrank back slightly, a little embarassed at her little outburst.

"If gods the game that You're playing, well we must be more acquainted,"
[Oceanmist looked over to see that Moonblaze was entering. She was expecting to see Fadinghorizon right behind her, but saw another young she-cat. The Seaclan medicine cat had never been acquainted with this apprentice, but would soon know her name and clan. Listening, she found that Wolfspirit was killed during the quake. Oceanmist shut her eyes for a moment, mourning for the Breezeclan medicine cat. She also found that the apprentice's name was Mosspaw, and she had just began her training. Moonblaze was training her, leaving Fadinghorizon the sole medicine cat of Stormclan. Then, Rabbitfoot began to rant over their alliance. It being unfair that Breezeclan asked Moonblaze to mentor Mosspaw, without consenting the other clans. Personally, Oceanmist didn't mind it much. Mosspaw had just began her training, and her mentor was dead. Suddenly, she heard her own apprentice join the conversation. "Serenepaw.." [Oceanmist murmured, gesturing for her apprentice to come to her where Rabbitfoot and the rest would not hear her. Once they were a tail length or two away, she began to speak.] "This conversation is not for us to join in. Whatever Stormclan and Breezeclan are doing with Mosspaw's training, that's their own situation. Rabbitfoot thinks the other leaders should have known. That's his opinion, and I know we have our own, too. Just let it be, and don't tell an older medicine cat to calm down anymore, unless it's me. Just stay quiet. Maybe after were done here, you can speak to Mosspaw a little. " [she whispered into Serenepaw's ear, trying to tell her to stay out of the conversation. Seaclan's input wasn't going to be needed unless someone actually asked for it.]
"Because it must be so lonely, to be the only one who's holy." [ooc; sorry for the late reply! I went camping .o.]

Rabbitfoot listened to the other medicine cats, nodding as Fadinghorizon assured him she would accept his assistance. He glanced up as she mentioned losing moonlight, noticing the moon was farther along in the sky than when he had first arrived. He sighed, flicking his tail, and murmured, "Then I apologize. It was my fault for challenging Moonblaze. I didn't mean to offend StormClan or BreezeClan." I immediately suspected them, he realized. I didn't even give them a chance to explain. Foxstar really made it seem like the other Clans were out to get NightClan...even I started believing it! But after speaking with these medicine cats, I have no doubt that they don't intend to harm us. Their leaders only want what's best for the Clans. I have to make sure Foxstar doesn't delude the Clan into believing what he fears is true, because it isn't.
Rabbitfoot bowed his head to the others before saying, "Let's continue, then. Hopefully, StarClan has some answers for us." He turned and padded to the moonpool, resting on his haunches. He dipped his nose into the piercingly cool water and immediately felt sleep washing over him. He tucked his head into his paws and drifted away. ----------------------------------------- Rabbitfoot slowly opened his eyes, glancing around. He glanced down and fear immediately shot through him. He stepped back only to find no solid ground to put his foot on. He began to fall, so he unsheathed his claws and gripped the bark, gouging deep gashes into it as he struggled to regain balance. He pulled himself back onto the branch, his grey eyes flashing with frustration. When he'd finally balanced himself, he peered out of the pine tree, his confusion subsiding. Glancing around, he realized he was in the deeper parts of NightClan's forest, and he was facing BreezeClan. The thicket that separated the border between BreezeClan and NightClan behind the Horseplace was in clear view. In fact, the tree he was in was so tall that he could see over the entire forest, and the ground below. He narrowed his eyes.
The ground below...was swarming with cats! What he assumed to be NightClan and BreezeClan cats yowled as they fought viciously. The battle was taking place on BreezeClan's side of the Thicket. Had NightClan invaded? He heard a yowling sound behind him and turned around. He could make out SeaClan and StormClan's border, for some reason. In reality, there should be no way he could see this far across the Clans, but for the sake of being a dream, he accepted the contradiction. SeaClan and StormClan were fighting through a grove of oak trees, yowling furiously at each other. Across the lake, BreezeClan and StormClan cats were fighting less angrily-almost...reluctantly? Rabbitfoot watched the battling cats in horror.
"Horrible, isn't it?" a voice asked.
Rabbitfoot glanced to the tree next to him where Lavenderstar stood. Stars glittered in her fur, and her pruple eyes were serious. "Why are the Clans fighting...?" Rabbitfoot asked hoarsely, dread weighing his stomach down. This is everything I've ever feared, he thought helplessly. I wanted to believe I was just exaggerating, but if Lavenderstar is showing me this...
The starry she-cat gazed out to the scenes of bloodshed, her eyes growing dark. "The path to the Dark Forest is paved with good intentions," she sighed. "One act of necessity will create chaos. There is more than one traitor in the Clans, and strange times will bring strange circumstances."
Rabbitfoot hissed, despair rising in his heart. "What can I do to stop it?" he yowled, gritting his teeth. "For so long, NightClan has been the ones to cause such turmoil-!! Why is it always us? Why is everyone else so much better than us?!" He panted, a tear falling down his cheek. "I've tried...so hard... to be good. No matter what I do, I can't help stop this...I can't prevent this madness...all I can do is sit by and watch my Clanmates die!" Lavenderstar turned her gaze to him, sympathy glimmering in her eyes. "It is the burden all medicine cats bear. Your trust in StarClan keeps you on the path to good, but sometimes cats get caught in their own world and they forget that their actions will affect others negatively. Either that, or they're fully aware of what their actions will cause..."
Rabbitfoot shook his head as another tear fell down his cheek. He hissed bitterly, "But it's always NightClan, isn't it? Why is it that NightClan has strayed so far from StarClan? What can I do to bring my Clanmates back on the path?! "It's always us! We're the murderers, the betrayers, the warrior-code breakers...and now, we're traitorous! I can't take it! We-"
Lavenderstar interrupted suddenly, saying, "The traitor is not in NightClan, and NightClan is not the cause of this war between the Clans." Rabbitfoot stared at her, his mouth agape. "W-we're not...? Then who is??" She glanced at him, murmuring, "A number of things. They will reveal themselves in time. More than anything, the bridge between the worlds is at fault. The Dark Forest has greater influence over living cats...all of your perceptions will be altered by their voices. They will haunt your dreams, stalk you in every moment. Their ultimate goal is to get revenge on the ones they hated when they lived. We will do our best to keep them at bay." Rabbitfoot looked at her helplessly, shaking his head slowly. The Dark Forest is going to cause the next war? he thought dubiously. That...almost makes sense. Galestar and Silverstar are usually agreeable leaders, but if they're haunted by voices of evil, even they will be affected. They might not turn to the dark side, but they'll be agitated with fighting the voices, and ignoring them on top of the rest of the problems they have to face... But...what will happen to Foxstar? His intentions are already shady. Lavenderstar even said the path to the Dark Forest is paved with good intentions. What if Dark Forest spirits don't say just evil things? What if they press him to do what's best for his Clan? That he's a bad leader? What would he do under that kind of influence?
Rabbitfoot truly felt pure fear for the future. Would the voices tell him he's just like his mentor? That he was useless? He already told himself that, and struggled against his own insecurity. Would he be able to fight against such a barrage of ideas, seeding in his mind and rotting it...? I must be strong...and be the voice of reason against my Clanmate's fears! He turned to Lavenderstar and asked, "But what about the stone? What does the stone have to do with any of this?"
She did not respond. Her back was turned to him, facing the ongoing battle of the Clans. A strong gust began to blow, billowing the trees, and Rabbitfoot clung to the tree as best as he could as the wind grew. He shouted,"Lavenderstar, please! The stone! What of the stone?"
She turned around, her purple eyes glowing through the flying debris that was thrown around by the storm. Finally, the wind won, and Rabbitfoot was flung from the tree. His claws, which were dug into the bark, were twisted as he flew out of the tree, yowling in pain. The wind threw him around for a few moments, and as his body spiraled, he thought he could hear the howling of a wolf. Suddenly, he landed with a thump onto the soft ground. He moaned, raising his head, and realized he was laying in pebbles. He shakily stood up and stared out into the lake. He was on the gathering island, facing the water. Suddenly, the water began to boil. He cried out as hot water splashed his paws. The boiling water turned red, and blood streamed onto the shore. His hair rose as he watched the water swirl and form a vicious whirlpool. Then, the water began to part, its waves forming an opening towards the lake's bottom. The earth cracked along the opening, and a shiny stone tumbled out from the crevice, and onto the shore at Rabbitfoot's feet. With a roar, the water slammed back down into place, gurgling softly. He stared at the stone beneath his feet that glittered like the stars. As he prodded it with a paw, he could feel how icy and cold it was. He heard it whispering something so he slowly and reluctantly lowered his head and listened closely. Power from beneath in cryptic keep finding freedom from its soundless sleep shall beckon shadows from the deep.
Lavenderstar emerged from the trees behind him and called, "We're all in grave danger, Rabbitfoot. Be wary of any strangers that make their way into the Clans from now on."
She turned and began walking back towards the trees. He called after her, "Wait! Isn't there any way to destroy this thing?" She glanced back at him, staring at him with an unreadable expression. Then, she slipped back into the trees.
He sighed and waited to wake up, but the chirping of crickets and the lapping of the lake water remained. He turned to examine the stone and began to hear it whisper again.
Make a wish
"What...?" he murmured, his ears flattening with uncertainty.
Make a wish
Remaining silent, Rabbitfoot took a step back as the stone began to glow.
MAKE A WISH
Trembling in fear, Rabbitfoot cried, "I wish I would wake up!"
Sparks began to dance across the surface of the stone. Suddenly, a sound like thunder exploded from the stone, and it was louder than any thunder he'd ever heard in the skies. A lightning bolt shot out of the stone and hit Rabbitfoot in his chest, and it felt like boiling water had forced its way through his veins as his vision turned white.
-----------------------------------------
Rabbitfoot leapt to his feet, screeching vehemently. He stopped when he realized he was in the Moonpool with the other medicine cats. His fur stood on air and smelled like it was on fire. Smoke cleared from the air in an instant, before the other cats woke up. He wasn't burned, but the smell of burnt fur lingered on his body. He slumped back down into a sitting position, staring at the ground in shock, and didn't move for a while.
(( OK guys feel free to post your dreams now, just like we talked about! Remember, you can shape it any way you want, just be sure that nobody else sees the stone where Rabbitfoot saw it ok? emotion_c8 That's actually rather important...;3 ))

Serenepaw You sit there in your heartache Waiting on s o m e beautiful boyXXXXXX XXXTo save you from your old ways XXXXYou p l a y forgiveness XXXXXXWatch him now XXXXXXHere he comes He d o e s n t look a thing like JesusXXXX But he talks like a gentleman Like you imagined when y o u were young I was drawn away from the fighting, I looked up at my Mentor, whom I was almost as big as. "Yes, Mentor, I'm very sorry, but Grumpy-Rabbit shouldn't get in such a huff, it seems ridiculous, though, I will apologize once more. I'm sorry, I will try not to cause too much trouble but I do have a mind of my own and wish to speak it. I want to make peace, not issue." I had spoken to my Mentor softly into her war so the others could not hear, Rabbitfoot spoke of dipping our noses into the pool of water so I simply followed along respectfully. I approached the Moonpool, a half light of silver gleamed down on the pool of water, making it shimmer, almost dance with the light. My green eyes stared into the clear depths and I slowly bent down a few paw steps from Rabbitfoot, dipping down and pressing my pecious nose into the clear depths. I tucked my paws underneath my chest, my tongue flicked over my nose for a second and my sleepy eyes closed, I drew back with a hefty breath as StarClan greeted me. --------------- I awoke with a strange feeling washed over me, it felt pleasant here. The prey ran full through the waters of the river and I stared in amazement. This would be my first time visiting with StarClan like this, Oceanmist hadn't taken me the previous time when I was six moons. A calico cat approached me and my fur prickled with unease, something was wrong here, there was a sudden feeling of forbid laying heavy in the air. I had never felt something like this but I felt terrified. I thought of my friend Sandstripe, maybe he could change this, maybe it would go away if I thought of him, maybe I- "Hello, Serenepaw. I opened my eyes, I had squeezed them shut out of my fright and I panted, finally taking a breath. The feeling was gone now and I felt something tugging at my paws. I was in the water, though only a little ways past my paws. My fur was long and so I wasn't exactly the best of swimmers, even if I was a SeaClan cat. Be careful." Birchcrest warned me, "who are you?" I questioned back. My name is Birchcrest, dear, but you really shouldn't ask me my name. You should be wary of strangers." I looked confused as to what she had said, what did she mean? Be wary of strangers? But.. everyone seemed so nice, even Rabbitfoot however grumpy and angry he came off to be. "Be wary of strangers and the water." What did that mean? I didn't understand very well, I felt another sense of dread wash over me and I looked down at my paws, into the water. It tugged more ferociously. I let out a shrill cry as Birchcrest's eyes followed me making my way downstream, I scrabbled desperately under my paws but couldn't grip anything. I heard something in my head as Birchcrest faded from view. Watch out for Sky the most, he is a stranger after all. be wary of all strangers, and in the water lurks something that can be dangerous later on. I saw something out of the corner of my green hues.. something.. strange.. the water seemed to slow now, I could stand, it was shallower, I got to my paws, soaked and shaky. StarClan was not being kind, I was scared and alone now in StarClan. I approached what my eyes had seen and found a stone before me. What is this? I asked myself, feeling my paws once more being tugged at restlessly by the river, long shadows seem to cast over the ground in front of me, past the stone. My fur prickled and I drew back deeper into the water; an ominous dread had washed over me again and I let out a shrill cry. I didn't want this. Words were whispered and mumbled around my head, water is dangerous, Sky is a stranger. I could barely make them out but they still frightened and bothered me. -------------- I woke with a start, almost lurching myself into the Moonpool, I drew back from the waters depths, crouching close to the ground and shivering. The dread was gone and by my side I found Rabbitfoot, he was in the same state as me, shoken up from the experience. I regained my composure, it was a slow process and I looked the part before I was really back to a natural sanity. I didn't speak a word to Rabbitfoot, I simply slipped back against the cave walls and laid there, waiting for Oceanmist to finish her visit with StarClan, I wanted to leave.

LOCATION: Moonpool COMPANY: Rabbitfoot, Oceanmist, Serenepaw, Moonblaze, Mosspaw OOC: Hope I didn't go too overboard...DRAMATIC DREAMS FTW
Fadinghorizon had been holding her breath without knowing after her sudden outburst, and she couldn’t help but heave a quiet sigh of relief when all the other cats complied, even the normally disagreeable Rabbitfoot. Well, at least that fiasco was sorted.
Rabbitfoot was the first to dip his nose ito Moonpool, followed closely by Serenepaw. The two cats fell into a slumber to converse with Starclan instantly, and Fadinghorizon followed suit. As soon as she touched her nose to the refreshingly cold water of the Moonpool and took a sip, her eyes closed and she fell into a deep sleep.
Fadinghorizon awoke to find herself surrounded by darkness so thick that she almost felt as if she could reach out and crush it to pieces with her teeth. Cats have naturally adapted to see well in the dark, but this was a darkness scary and unnatural even to a cat. ”Scary, isn’t it? The unknown terrifies even the bravest of warriors.” A soothing female voice sounded from the darkness, and seemingly out of nowhere, a shimmering shape appeared from the darkness. It was Starpelt, Stormclan’s medicine cat many moons ago. Every step she took, light blossomed from her starry paws, forming into the land that they both stood upon, and eventually the sky that they stood underneath. ”Starpelt, it’s good to see you again and to know that I have guidance even in such dark times.” She purred as she padded up to Starpelt, but to her surprise, no matter how far she walked, Starpelt seemed to remain in the same place, impassive, cold and distant. ”Starpelt...?” She meowed fearfully, unsure why her Starclan patron was being so distant. ”This blind trust will be your downfall, Fadinghorizon. Remember, not all strangers in this world mean you harm, but at the same time, not all of them mean you no harm.” ”Wh-What do you mean? Should I distrust everyone?” ”That’s for you to decide, young medicine cat. And heed my words well, young Fadinghorizon; before the journey starts, a sacrifice must first be made.”
As soon as Starpelt has stopped speaking, her form started shimmering, along with her surroundings. Without any warning, her form faded away like a wisp of smoke, and the surroundings that had blossomed into existence following her appearance also vanished, leaving Fadinghorizon alone once again in the stifling darkness. ”The path to success is paved with many difficulties, and this burden you shoulder is only one of them. Your clan’s present and future now rest on your back, young Fadinghorizon.” To the orange she-cat, the words sounded quiet and distant, but at the same time they seemed to sound from within her own mind. As soon as Starpelt’s words stopped, the darkness surrounding her lit up in flames, burning the darkness away and giving way to a new background as the flames hungrily licked at the stifling darkness.
As glad as she was to get out of that darkness, her new surroundings did not exactly fill her with joy. She found herself standing in front of a cave, its dark mouth gaping at her as if beckoning her to enter. Jagged stones lined the cave’s upper and lower edges, giving the cave the appearance of a pair of open jaws. Just as she was starting to wonder what the cave was doing in her dream, a terrible high pitched screech suddenly sounded from deep within, as if there was huge creature screaming in pain and terror inside. Fadinghorizon instinctively stumbled back in fright, her hackles prickling along her back. She winced and lay down with her belly on the ground, trying her best to cover her ears so she won’t hear the terrible screeching.
As soon as she had laid down on her belly, the earth suddenly shook like how the earthquake had happened in all four clans, only worse in her dream. The ground’s shaking intensified and so did the cave’s screeching, until the very earth beneath her paws started splitting along the middle. From inside the cave, a crimson liquid steadily streamed forwards until it pooled around Fadinghorizon’s paws. At first she had no idea what it was, but after its strong scent hit her nose like a brick wall, she stumbled back with a terrified cry as she realised what it was.
Blood.
The sticky blood coated her paws, and as it streamed forward it began pouring down the sides of the ledges that had formed from the earth splitting open. Fadinghorizon deftly jumped to one side so she won’t fall into the hole, and at that moment a bright light seemed to shine from the depths of the crevasse. At the same time, the earthquake stopped abruptly. She peered down the seemingly endless abyss curiously to see what the light is, and although the light nearly blinded her eyes, she could just about make out the form of a stone hidden within the bright, shining light, as if it was a beacon beckoning her on.
Fadinghorizon stepped forwards to take a closer look, and all of a sudden hundreds, no, thousands of cat’s paws reached out from the depths of the crevasse, claws extended and all reaching for her. The blood steadily pouring out from the cave made the ground slippery, and seemed to bring her closer and closer to the ledge, as if the blood had a life of its own and was eager to push her over the ledge. She hastily scrambled backwards with a yowl of terror, her eyes wide and her fur fluffed out. ”N-No! Gaah!” She yowled in terror as the thousands of cat’s paws reached hungrily for her, as if they were eager to rip her to pieces with their merciless claws.
Over the high-pitched screech that came from the cave, yowls upon yowls also sounded from the crevasse as if there were really thousands of cats trapped in the bottom, caterwauling for Fadinghorizon’s blood. Their yowls were enough to send chills down Fadinghorizon’s spine, and at the moment she was so terrified that she could hardly think straight. The noise was on deafening levels, and she was sure that she could go deaf if she did not leave this place soon. From within the caterwauling and the screeching, a single voice could be heard, no louder than a quiet whisper, yet perfectly audible to Fadinghorizon’s ears.
”Power from beneath in cryptic keep finding freedom from its soundless sleep shall beckon shadows from the deep.
As soon as it had all started, everything suddenly vanished as if the whole ordeal had never happened, and Fadinghorizon found herself being forced into the waking world.
Her eyes snapped wide open, and she was breathing as if she had just run a marathon. Even her paws still felt sticky with blood and her ears still rang from all the noise, even though it had all been a dream. It took her a few minutes to regain her composure and look around. Rabbitfoot and Serenepaw had both finished their dreams, but neither of them looked too happy about it, which was a little worrying.

"If gods the game that You're playing, well we must be more acquainted,"
[Oceanmist nodded as her apprentice took her advice. Grinning, she followed after Serenepaw to the Moonpool, where she dipped her nose into the crystal clear water, falling asleep.] "Hello?" [She asked, her plea echoing throughout the area she was in. Suddenly, instead of empty space, a battleground appeared in front of her sea green eyes. Oceanmist watched as cats sprung out, attacking each other. It only got worse when she realized that this was Seaclan fighting, in their camp.. Against..She couldn't put her paw on what the murky, swamp smell was. A familiar she-cat stepped out into the space in front of her. Running to the she-cat, she bowed her head in respect for her.] "Cloudfang, whats going on?" [she exclaimed, looking into her former mentors silver eyes. Oh, how she missed her so. Seeing her mentors face again felt comforting in this nightmare. Though she loved having her own apprentice and running the medicine den, she wished that Cloudfang had still been with her. Sighing, she waiting for the words of wisdom that the bengal she-cat would have to offer.]"I see you've been looking forward to Moonpool, Oceanmist."[The she-cat spoke calmly, whilst Oceanmist could barely contain her excitement to find out the source of all Seaclan's problems.]"Cloudfang, I'm sorry if I'm rushing things. But there's a battle right behind us a-and why is this in Seaclan? Why don't I remember this!"[Her eyes kept travelling back to the battle going on behind Cloudfang. What was going on? Were these cats even sane?]
"Oceanmist, my apprentice. This took place before you were kitted. You wouldn't remember, of course. It's good to learn from your past, as well, so it doesn't repeat itself. However, some cats don't learn, and cause a repeat."[the she-cat began, as Oceanmist listened. Repeat of history? What battle was this even?]"Many, many seasons ago, Oceanmist. There was a battle between Seaclan and Nightclan. Nightclans leader at the time was Fathom, and he pursued a battle on Seaclan grounds. All four clans were brought into the fight, but was thankfully ceased."[Oceanmist listened as Cloudfang told her the events of the battle recreated in front of her own eyes, watching as cats fought, blood spilled everywhere. So much gore.. Almost like the battle at the gathering. Almost. The sights terrified the medicine cat, and she found herself shaking in fear. Suddenly, it all went away. The earth, the cats, the bodies. The only detail that remained was blood. So much, Oceanmist wanted to back away.]"Cloudfang what is happening?"[she shrieked, shrinking down to the ground. Cloudfang touched her tail tip to the gray she-cats chin, reassuring her.]
Tensions are rising, Oceanmist. Between the clans, between Seaclan and Nightclan, and even within Seaclan camp. Outsiders, sometimes they aren't such a good thing, my dear."[Oceanmist slowly began to rise up, still shaky. As Cloudfang began to fade, along with the blood, her voice echoed a prophecy.]
Power from beneath in cryptic keep finding freedom from its soundless sleep shall beckon shadows from the deep.
[Waking up, Oceanmist looked around in a panic. No blood, just the moonpool and the sleeping medicine cats. Sighing, she tried to forget the visions. Nightclan.. Tensions.. Blood.. Strangers.. It overwhelmed Oceanmist as she continued to think about her dream.]
"Because it must be so lonely, to be the only one who's holy."

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Mosspaw,xxxxShe-cat xxxxxxxxxx Medicine Cat Apprenticexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Breezeclanxxxx, If you can't feed a l o t of cats, then feed just o n e.───────────────────────────────────────────────── Mosspaw shifted on her paws as the conversation slowly died down and the cats gathered around the pool. Glancing at Moonblaze briefly, the black and white she-cat slowly padded to the Moonpool as well. She faintly remembered Wolfspirit telling her about the Moonpool, but she couldn't really remember what she was supposed to do. Looking up, she watched the other Medicine Cats for a hint on what to do and she was met with them pressing their noses to the water. Didn't that feel weird? Was she supposed to do that too? Glancing over at Moonblaze, she saw the snowy she-cat do the same. Must be. She decided and slowly lowered her head as well. This was it. This was her first meeting with Starclan. Taking a deep breath, she pressed her nose against the water and desperately held back a gasp at the coolness of the pool. Rasping her tongue over her nose curiously, Mosspaw felt her eyes begin to flutter as sleep suddenly felt to heavy to resist.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Mosspaw kept her eyes closed. She was certain that she hadn't fallen asleep yet so she was waiting for sleep to claim her so she could have her first meeting with Starclan. Why is it taking so long? I felt so sleepy a few heartbeats ago. Why not now? She pondered curiously, shifting on her paws anxiously.
"Mosspaw." She barely heard the voice as she continued to wonder why she wasn't tired anymore.
"Mosspaw." The young apprentice yelped in surprise and her eyes shot open. She looked around curiously. This was her dream? It didn't seem like much. Shrugging, Mosspaw rose to her paws and silently padded along Breezeclan's moors. It was nice, refreshing almost. The black and white she-cat was so content that she almost forgot the voice that had made her open her eyes in the first place. "H-hello?" She called out as she kept walking. She wasn't too sure where she was going, but her feet seemed to know.
"Hello Mosspaw." She jumped again. There it was again! It sounded very familiar and brought an ache with it. But she knew better, it probably sounded like Wolfspirit because she missed him so much. Flopping down on her rump, she looked up at the joined trees.
No. It couldn't be. Mosspaw narrowed her green eyes as she peered closer. "Wolfspirit!" She howled excitedly as she jumped to her paws and raced forward to eagerly climb the tree. Wolfspirit just chuckled at her eagerness as he waited for her. It had taken her longer to become comfortable with the dream than he thought, but in light of everything; he understood why that would be.
"Wolfspirit. I'm so sorry. If I had just--" She clamped her jaw shut as her former mentor flicked his tail. "Wasn't your fault Mosspaw." He murmured before resting his gaze on her. "You're handling it very well." Mosspaw felt her heart swell at the praise. "I don't know if I would have handled my mentor's death that well. Especially that early in apprenticeship. Your ability to stay strong will help you. Wolfspirit rose to his paws and looked over at the Breezeclan camp, Mosspaw following his gaze.
"So... Do I get some really special message or something? I remember one time when you came back from the Moonpool and you---" Was he laughing at her? "Some handle their injuries differently Mosspaw." The Breezeclan apprentice narrowed her eyes in confusion at not only his words, but his sudden seriousness. His eyes were sparkling with laughter a moment ago. And what did injuries have to do with anything? That didn't sound like some special message. "Some, let it get the better of them." He continued. "You know, they get bothered because they can't do things the same. Others;" He paused and watched the Breezeclan cat's mill around camp. It seemed really tense down there. "Hide it. And hide it well; some do." Mosspaw peered down at her clanmates; she knew that Wolfspirit was looking at someone; but she couldn't see the same cat. "Some cats are much more than they seem. They may seem... But their not." Wolfspirit hopped down from the tree and began to pad away. Mosspaw narrowed her eyes. She completely missed a word. They may seem what?
"What?! Wait! Where are you going?!" Mosspaw scrambled down the tree and pelted in the direction she'd seen him go. How did he get so far ahead of her already? "Be careful Mosspaw. He cannot die. Do not let him join the ranks of Starclan before his time." Who? Who was he talking about? Wait, why? "Huh?" "You will need him. All of you will need him. He will help to close the bridge between the worlds Mosspaw. Do not let him join our ranks too soon."
"Wolfspirit wait! Don't go! I..." She stopped running and flopped down with a whimper. "I miss you." Mosspaw sighed and lay down, shutting her eyes tightly.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Opening one eye hesitantly, she sighed and opened the other when she saw the Moonpool in front of her once more. Some dream that was. She looked up at the sky. You tricked me. She thought, but she wasn't angry. When he had returned from the Moonpool when she was a kit, he seemed happy. Like it was the best thing ever. But maybe that was because he knew a young kit was watching. He wanted to preserve her innocence?
Mosspaw shook her head and focused on the dream. Who... Who, who, who. Embergaze was injured. Valiantstride was somewhat injured. A sprain to his paw, but nothing very big. Still, it could get worse. Who else was injured? The young apprentice blinked a few times and looked at Moonblaze, wondering what she was seeing. Was she seeing things for her own clan? Or was she being met by a Breezeclan cat? ───────────────────────────────────────────────── D a r e to reach out y o u r paw into the d a r k n e s s, to pull a n o t h e r paw into the l i g h t. ooc;; .... bloop?
