Wrathful Demigod

Soft green eyes were trained, though not entirely focused on the stone walk way just beyond the toes of her shoes. One delicate hand curling within the flawless silk resting on one thigh as the other slid up and along the length of her arm until she was gripping her own shoulder. An unconscious effort to shield and comfort herself from the nasty memories that wanted so badly to come forward. She hadn't thought about that night in a while now, not even in idle passing, and now she was having to fight to keep it all at bay. Drawing softly shaking breaths past parted, pouting lips. She didn't hearthe approaching footsteps, nor the soft sound of pleasant surprise. So when the young man spoke it startled her, a high little yelp escaping before she could press a hand over her mouth.

Wide eyes turned up automatically, already narrowing in irritation that someone had dared approached to bother her, but the sight that welcomed her had sharp features softening in fondness and relief. Not just from the sight of a familiar face, but one she had been worried about, longed to see, for sometime now. "Veryuu Lian-Hyun." The hand she had pressed to her lips slid to cradle her own cheek as she smiled up at him. Moisture glittering at the corners of her eyes, but for quite a different reason now. "You're a welcome sight for sore eyes. Yes please, sit." She patted the bench beside her, but before the boy had a chance to move an arm had snaked around his shoulders. Triggering a soft frown of annoyance from the dark noble before she realized who it was that had interrupted them.

"Rin," she scolded softly. Despite the smile that followed the gentle tug at her hair. "Wilting flowers have no place in the light, you know that." She hadn't referred to herself as that in a while, but perhaps her use of it would clue her old friend in on why she had hidden herself away from the crowds.

Sniffing sharply, the lady would reach out to catch Veryuu's arm, pulling him gently down beside her. "Your worries are ill placed, Rin. Veryuu wouldn't dream of adding more woes to my table," she glanced side long at him, the faintest hint of a blush creeping along the dark skin of her cheeks. "Would you?"

There were any number of letters sitting upon her desk and discarded in the bin beside it. Started but never finished, and each and every one had been addressed to the young man now seated beside her. After the tears and the bitterness she had found her mind wondering to the boy who had seemed so very like her in so many ways. She had wanted to see him again, longed for a familiar conversation, but had no idea where he had been.

(*finally throws in a post* Using my quest girl, Purnima :3 )

She fidgeted a little in her dark blue dress, a floral design done in silver thread accenting the blue, and tried very hard not to scowl at anyone that walked too near or shoot those standing close suspicious looks. It was going fairly well. For the most part. Not that she'd been here for that long in the first place. Nor did she fully understand why she was here either- okay she knew why. It had been her family. Err, well her brothers. And cousin. They had felt that showing up to this festivity, even if it was the wedding of two Legionaries, would be better than not attending. Especially when the invitation had been sent out to all sides.

How had Gita said it earlier while doing Purnima's hair? Something along the lines of 'good gestures, showing not all Noble folk were terrible, etc etc'.

She twirled a strand of her deep plum colored hair around a finger before remembering that if she tugged too much, the bun and flowers in her hair would fall out. Sighing in slight frustration, Purnima rubbed at her arms. Curses this was unnerving! She didn't know anyone here (or if she did, had not seen any of them). Her golden gaze watched as others mingled and noted that most of the guests tended to find their way towards one particular Lunarian female. Was she the bride to be? Manners dictated that she go introduce herself and congratulate her.

Purnima didn't move from her spot of being a 'wall flower'.

At least not until something furry brushed against her back a few seconds before a weight hung off her shoulder. She jumped and clamped her mouth shut on either the vile words or shriek that would have escaped. Just as quickly as her heart rate picked up and she went on the alert, Purnima relaxed and felt mildly embarrassed at having been surprised by her own pet.

"Naoki! What are you doing here?!" She hissed at the lemur now hanging off of her shoulder. Or rather sprawled over her shoulder, bushy tail wrapped lightly around her arm. He chittered at her but, obviously, didn't - couldn't - answer her question. Damn him! He must have followed her. At least I have someone I know here now. "Behave." Purnima reached up and scratched the lemur behind the ears, golden gaze returning to the growing crowd. Right. Mingle. She could do that. Maybe.

Taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly, Purnima took a step away from the wall. Then another. "Okay. Okay. I can do this. We can do this..." God this was so terrible! She felt so out of place here. Among Lunarians she was usually not that fond of.

Quietly, Purnima moved into the crowd, smiling at those that happened to glance her way. Sucking it up, she started towards the group around the bride. Might as well get those congratulations out of the way, right? Maybe it would give her more courage to talk with others as well. Even if she still felt edgy and uncomfortable. Naoki, on the other hand, was enjoying this far more than a lemur should be.

Hundreds upon hundreds of red and gold lanterns are strung in long lines from the front of the temple to the temple gates, so many that only tiny patches of sky are visible above them. The He Ping Tuanjie Temple is enormous and aged, revered throughout Lunaria as the temple in which peace and unity can reign free, without fear of attack. It is a place of solitude, of happiness and safety.

A small, rounded woman stands at the bottom of the temple steps, her black hair streaked elegantly with grey, blue eyes watching the throngs of people come up to see the wedding.

"Please, everyone, take your seats!" she calls, smiling pleasantly, gesturing to the doors of the temple, through which a wide, expansive room is visible. It is clear that you will be kneeling or sitting on the smooth marble floor, rather than taking a seat in one of the many chairs that sit outside.

"And remember that we are on neutral ground now; what alliance you are does not matter within the temple and during the wedding, which will begin shortly.

"Members of the wedding procession, please proceed to the appropriate temple rooms."

( I appologize ahead for missed typos. My work computer doesn't have spell check )

Nivritti watched and before she knew it, another purple haired woman had joijed her in the door way but had continued forward. THrough broguht attention to herself too. In her head she was latching to the wall whining "whhhhy..." But outwardly Nivy place a soft smile on her lips. The brides name was Yue. And it was strange, her enegery and friendlyness had seem to taken over the entire room including herself. Nivy wanted to be in the room suddenly...

The girl walked forward placing her flowers on a table that had some other gifts. One of Nivritti's greateast gifts was her flowers, bringing her darker hands up, she primmed the flowers some smiling. And as she turned around to introduce herself officially, a voice echeod through the temple for everyone to take seats. Nivy didn't want to slow anything up so she raised her right hand to her chest and gave a quick shallow bow to the bride wordlessly, and she slippd out of the room. Maybe after the wedding she could meet her... The warmth she gave off was truely contagious.

Nivy walked out into the main area of the temple, finding herself a seat, in a middle row, a couple seats in. The person in the rafters was still there, she glanced up, but whoever it was, was closer to the area were people first walked in... And all Nivy could really see were the lanterns. Nivy had never been to a wedding before, and after being in the room with the bride, she was excited to see it. Her eyes still scanning looking at the flowers that were around.

Veryuu's newly established calm was then utterly decimated by Rin's arrival...the male's presence sending a wash of mixed signals through the silvery-haired noble's thought process. Eyes narrowing ever so slightly, there was a moment where he was completely at a loss as to how to respond to the other's playful approach, much less his warning and ah gods this....fellow was leaning on him. "Ah...have we been introduced? A friend of yours?" The fine layer of ice atop Veryuu's tone was greatly minimized by Shin-Mu's reaction to the individual that the array of colors and the vengeful nails were attached to.

He had nary a qualm in meeting Rin's eyes, mind, casting his gaze towards this new stranger who was so intensely familiar with him. "I mean no harm to the lady." In fact, the quiet, confident words seemed almost cross that such a thing would be implied. Whilst he might not care for mingling with such a throng as a whole, he would still never have transgressed so badly as to insult any woman that he deemed, in fact, a lady. As a kindred spirit, Shin-Mu certainly ranked as such...above the rest of them, even, were anyone to discern the truth of Veryuu's behavior.

That smile widened faintly when the lass in question caught at his arm, and turned flush-tinted features his way. "I would not dream of it." Though she might not have fully seized upon it yet, she had earned herself a rather zealous defender, should the situation call for it. Rin was not the only one on Shin-Mu's side amidst those who had gathered. Though he still did not at all trust the young woman's other friend...he seemed a highly flamboyant chap, and would not be trusted until he had proved himself of the same caliber as either the girl at his side, or Veryuu himself.

Tugging himself away from the nagging grip at his shoulder, he then smoothed the silk of his garb once more in an action that he was hardly conscious of, bright aqua fingertips sweeping across the fine fabric in a momentary caress. "You also have my humblest apologies." It was just above a whisper, meant most for the beauty at his side, "I meant to see you again...at the very least...write, to let you know I had momentarily returned to the estate...but alas, a bit of a family altercation has tied my thoughts and efforts of late." He had missed her...the one mind that had seemed to be not entirely apart from his own, not breached by the same chasm of idiocy and low ideals that almost everyone else in this drear life seemed to be content with. Her...sameness, had called to him on the day that they met, and he had lamented many times hence that he hadn't the opportunity to linger longer in her company.

Glancing up, he noted that an announcement was being made, and a momentary flicker of his usual frigid annoyance passed betwixt marine eyes. "Seems things are to begin." He murmured, fingertips then moving to rest politely on the girl's wrist for but a brief second, before dropping away, hand turning sideways as he offered his arm. "I can escort you, if you would graciously accept the burden of my accompaniment." She had seemed to be keen on hiding herself away before, but dalliance seemed as though it would soon be socially unacceptable, and the both of them were here to avoid just that eventuality. His eyes flicked back up to Rin, however, not so callous as to cut the other off, though he might have wished to...the stranger made him slightly ill at ease. "And if your protector here has no objection."

* A one of RP post for A'Meiya while Matisha is in hospital. Have fun you guys <3

Her hands trailed the wall as if feeling for a pulse, every step taken was thought through and planned as she crept her way along the buildings, shrouded in dark and hidden by shadows she waited with bated breath till the crowd began to disperse.

It wasn't that she was avoiding anyone as such. By all means the very existence of Mei was to be noticed. How could you not? The girl screamed "LOOK AT ME AND WATCH ME DO SOMETHING STUPID!" In the nicest possible way of course. Yet right now she felt a little out of sorts. Her whole life dictated by a iron hand she had been kept behind closed doors for more than a month, trickles of information seeping their way through to her via the staff, the gossip running rife through out her home under the deaf ear of its master. Ever since the incident of the dinner with Sara her father had forbade her from all social events, festivals, dinners, the lot. Without Shin Mu beside her with his permission she was not allowed to leave the family home. And this was one such event.

The pain of it tore at her. She wanted to be there, laughing, chatting, abuzz with the excitement of the wedding. She wanted to hear the vows, smell the silks of the finest garments people would wear in celebration. To shed tears as she watched the two warriors she greatly looked up too become an item bound forever. Yet the admiration she felt for Jianyu could not displace the hurt that clawed its way from Yue betrayal. How could she be so stupid. But what hurt the most is that she wanted to ignore all of it. The war, the alliance, the hate. Yet she couldn't. Bound by loyalty and blood she could not heal this bridge, no matter the pain.

Her back pushed hard against the column in a failed attempt to become one with it. Her heart thudding against her chest as her spine pinched its protest at being forced to the solid wood. She held her breath, watching the other guests make their way up the stairs and into the twilight of the ceremony. She was going to gatecrash this wedding, in secret. but in style of course. When all were eventually sat and eyes to the front she would find a spot to view the wedding, hiding herself as best she could. No one would know. It had to be so, any news of her escape would find its way back to her father, she couldn't have that. A world of pain would be her welcome home if that were to happen. No. For now she needed to remain hidden and above all unnoticed by everyone and anyone. At least in spirit she would be here. On some level she hoped Jinayu at least would know this.

Lestari couldn't help but grin at Yue, she made weddings look pleasant instead of undesired like others she'd witnessed. She would definitely have to meet the groom, not only to give her congratulations and a gift, but also to see what kind of person he was. This wedding reminded her that the only other wedding that had a radiating bride was her own brothers and Citra's wedding, they'd met young and their love for each other had never ceased. It looked like Yue was also marrying for love, Lestari wished the same for herself in the long run. “I will try and meet your future husband, I also have a gift for him.” Yue's own gift was a matching set of earrings and necklace to match the color of her eyes, Les would wonder later how her mother had found out what Yue looked like.

Before Lestari could congratulate the bride, a voice boomed through the halls, announcing that all Lunarians attending had to get seated. Turning her attention back to Yue, Lestari bowed and gave one final smile. “I hope you have a good day, it looks like we need to get to our seats.” Her congratulations would come once the wedding ceremony was over. Lestari cast a glance to all that were left, including the Lunarian who had just come in and nodded at them before exiting the room and gently closing the door behind her. Now Les was getting excited, grabbing a bit of her dress she continued towards what she hoped was the room where she would find a a place to sit.

The sound of many people gathered in an area is what drew Lestari to the main area of the temple, a quick glance around told her people were still spilling inside to take a seat. Inside was just as beautiful as the outside, Les took a walk around trying to find a seat where she would be able to see the ceremony from a good angle. She caught a glimpse of someone on the roof which made her pause and quirk her brow, her fingers stretched and curled as she tried to decide if she should feed her curiosity and see why there was someone on the roof with a monkey, or find a seat. In the end, Lestari changed her course and headed for the man on the roof, there was no way she'd be able to get to him with her dress, but at least she could get close enough to talk to him.

Pausing just below the Lunarian so he could see and hear her, Lestari frowned deeply and put her hands on her hips. She raised her voice just a bit to make sure he heard her, but not loud enough to cause others to turn. “What do you think you're doing on a roof when there's a wedding about to go on?” Lestari gave him a scornful look, she didn’t know which side he was on, didn't care, but if no one was going to ask him what he was doing, she was.

For a Lunarian in a hurry, Van was quite good at appearing calm. The only thing that gave her away was the abnormally brisk pace at which she was walking into the temple. The fighter had run into a bit of a problem on the way here—the trek out of her jungle house was neither clean nor easy, and any small problem had the potential to make her obnoxiously late. This time, the smith at the weapons shop had been late on her custom sword order, and it’d taken quite the amount of cajoling before she could make her way from the village to the temple, matching short swords for the soon-to-be-newlyweds in hand.

Van was relieved to see that she was not as late as her initial guess deemed her to be, as Lunarians seemed to be filing into the main temple only now. Shifting the heavy decorated box in her arms, the Legionnaire began scanning the crowd for familiar faces—in particular Yue and Sara. Catching a familiar flash of magenta hair, Van waved frantically, hoping the bride would see her. If she couldn’t talk to Yue now, she could at least flash her an encouraging smile. Van had wanted to help her with the dress they’d spent so many hours choosing fabric for.

Her golden ao dai flowed elegantly behind her as she moved forward toward her friends. A small smile appeared across her face as she approached and took Sara’s arm. “Hey, sorry I’m late,” she said apologetically. Now wasn’t the time to make excuses, so she quieted once again. Noticing now that the Soul Conduit had Kiran in tow, she turned and issued a nod of acknowledgment.

Van looked around once more, perfectly curled black locks swaying behind her back as she looked in vain for the groom. When her search ended, she returned her attention to Sara. “Are they starting now?”

As quickly as Rin's thinly veiled rage and overprotective demeanor had come, it went just as swiftly. If Shin-Mu liked this boy, and this was THAT Veryuu, then the man had no quarrel with him. Waving off the younger boy, he laughed jovially, all malice gone from his voice.

"Ahaha, why didn't you say he was THAT Veryuu befooo~oore, my little flower!" inclining his head to Veryuu, he smiled. "I am Rin Mao, I own a teashop in the downtown district, our little Shin-Mu here has become quite the patron.....more of an additional little sister really." he introduced himself, cocking his head as the bell in his hair chimed again.

It was then that the announcement to move was made, and he blinked in surprise. Already? It was fortunate he'd gotten here just in time, though he'd wished he'd had more time to socialize and find out more about this boy that Shin-Mu spoke of so very often. As the younger boy addressed him again, he chuckled, shaking his head and moving to Shin-Mu's free side.

"If you are not against sharing, then neither am I. My flower has been busy lately, and hasn't had time to come to the shop for evening tea, and I''m happy to admit that I've missed her," he replied, looking down to the young lady in question with gentle eyes and a warm brotherly smile. Allowing for a momentary apologetic glance Veryuu's way, he guided Shin-Mu up, taking one side and leaving him the other.

"Come, flower, lets whisper quietly about how the bride resembles a cow in a dress three sizes too small for her frame," he joked quietly, leaning in conspiratorially to elicit a smile from the soul conduit. She hadn't been smiling much lately, which perturbed the blunette. Even more so, she hadn't stopped by as often, which also made him worry. How was he supposed to protect her if she wasn't nearby?

Kiran returned the hug. He was shocked to learn that Yue and Sakn were related. That was new information to him, but it was nice to know that Sakn would be there for his half-sister on her very important day. He patted Sakn on the shoulder, giving the man a bright smile.

"I just wanted to drop off a small gift," he explained to Yue. He handed her the wall scroll painting of Cherry Tree Hill. "It's nothing much, but I hope you like it. My sister wishes you well on wedding as well." He laughed at her comment. "Then I bet you'll look even more beautiful during the ceremony." He placed a hand on her shoulder and squeezed gently, comfortingly, before letting go.

Kiran noticed another Lunarian come up to their group. He looked and saw Van taking one of Sara's arm. He nodded and smiled in return, glad that he made his apologies to her. It could have been awkward with them so close together if he hadn't made that effort.

"It sounds like things are getting started," he answered after hearing the announcement. "I should probably get out of the way and find a spot to sit." He bid good luck to those participating in the wedding ceremony before he slipped out of the room.

Takeo. ((This quest is pathetically skimpy, I know, but I haven't had a proper computer in about a week and it was all I could crank out in time for the ORP D: ))

Takeo didn't just run through the city, he flew, a veritable juggernaut in a teenager's body, slamming past pedestrians and diving through merchant stalls when necessary. All the agility, all the finesse, all the work he put into his body, it all came down to moments like this, the REAL tests. A marathon through a moving obstacle course, and on a time limit at that. Takeo had a wedding to attend to, after all, and he was already late. He Ping Tuanjie temple loomed over him, taunting him with possibly the greatest challenge he'd ever received: Reconvene with one of your oldest friends. I dare you.

Flash to ten minutes prior. Takeo had come to the city for a simple reason: he'd been looking at different samples of hardwood, intending to select one out for the merchant to hold for him, while he worked up enough money to purchase it. The wood, once (and if) he'd managed to purchase it, he'd work at honing into a bo, a new implement for himself after his last had broken during a particularly rigorous training exercise for a new technique he was attempting to develop. He'd almost gotten it in working order when his damnable old bo had snapped clean in two. So here he found himself, in the darkened storefront, when a laughing couple in the street behind him spoke loud enough for Takeo to overhear.

A wedding, they said! What a joyous occasion! And how lovely the bride looked, with all her gorgeous pink hair!

At this, Takeo stiffened as if jolted. With an offhanded, “I'll be back,” to the shopkeep, he whirled and ran into the street, grabbing the closer of the couple as they passed. It was a man, who looked a little startled at the sudden touch from the wild-eyed boy, for it was a little rude, if not rough.

“This wedding,” Takeo demanded, “Who's getting married, then?”

The man, taken aback, said, “Two of the Legion, up at He Ping Tuanjie Temple! An archer named Jianyu and a woman named Yue La-” But that was all the man got out, because Takeo was already gone. As fast as he'd ever run before, like all the fires of Hell were at his heels. He hadn't heard the name in over four years, but he'd be damned if he'd forgotten one of his closest childhood friends.

The guard at the bottom of the steps that led up to the temple was so surprised by the panting, furious Takeo that ran at him, in a completely straight bee-line, that he nearly stood at attention as if approached by an enemy. But when he remembered his post, and how close the wedding was to beginning, he stood aside, watching in wonder and bafflement as the now rather-disheveled looking boy pounded up the steps, the last leg of his race nearly complete. Upon reaching the top, the guests at the wedding, now in the main temple chamber, looked nearly as surprised as the guard did.

“Am I... late then...?” Takeo gasped, in between pants for air, great whooping things that threw his chest up and down. He would have been full of apprehension at this point, had he not been so full of endorphins and adrenaline and utter one-mindedness. No time for doubt, because he wasn't finished yet. He still had one final bend to turn. Whirling and turning his ferocious gaze upon a now-terrified woman, he again demanded, “Where's Yue? Where's the bride? Surely I haven't missed her.” She pointed with a shaking finger towards a group that stood to the side, where, though he didn't know them, Van, Kiran, Sara, Huang-Fu, and Sakn stood, now no doubt staring at Takeo with... with...

No point in stopping now, no point in reminiscing, thought Takeo, as he turned his now-trembling gaze upon Yue. Though she had grown older, just a bit, her face hadn't changed, and Takeo asked, softly, meekly, “Big sister?”

A small breeze blows through Lunaria, bringing with it the scent of cherry blossoms and a faint hint of smoke from the candlelit lanterns at the He Ping Tuanjie Temple. It is nearing ten in the morning now, and Qian Ehuang has taken her place at the doors of the temple, along with the rest of the Qian family.

As you enter, they greet you warmly and motion you into the enormous main room of the temple, instructing that you remove your shoes at the door in respect for the ceremony; it is a Lunarian custom, after all. The floor is a glossy white marble, the walls matching, with sheer orange, red, and gold cloths draped from corner to corner. A small alter sits at the front of the room, covered in an off-white silk fabric. On top sits a small, shallow bowl with two incense sticks, two clay cups, and in the center, a simple yet elegant floral arrangement with white lilies and pale pink cherry blossoms from the aged tree atop Cherry Tree Hill.

"The ceremony will begin in five minutes time," says Ehuang with a smile.

[ OOC: JUST AS A NOTE, GUYS:

This is not meant to be a drama filled, serious roleplay. This is an upbeat, lighthearted, fun, and open roleplay meant for everyone to have a good time and relax; which means everyone needs to keep an open mind and remember that this is a celebration of two people getting married; it's not about your character.

The wedding is neutral ground. That means no matter what your alliance or your feelings, everyone is equal at this temple, on this day. You can go back to hating each other tomorrow, but the point of this wedding is to set your differences aside, even if you don't want to be here. ]

Huang-Fu wasn't trying to be rude when the group of Lunarians all gathered but he was dedicated to finding his master so that he could well wish him. It had been tough since he saw enemies and friends alike pass by him, he even saw that of unfamiliar Lunarians with well wishes.

"Sister?" Huang caught the sounds of Sakn and then a new comer before looking at them, he didn't know that Yue had any siblings and was surprised to see that Sakn was part of them. No wonder he liked the boy.

He nodded his head at the Lunarians before apologizing. "I'm sorry I can't stay long." Huang left it at that as he made his way to the Groom's room and called out for Jianyu. When he got an answer back, He smiled whole heartedly at his friend. "Jianyu! There you are! You have such a large wedding. I stopped to see Lady Yue." Huang gave a odd smirk at Jianyu before waggling his eyebrows. "She is looking particularly beautiful." He cocked his head before looking at the wedding outfit and grimacing. "My brother, how would I know how to do this? Assassin Jianyu, Not a married man." He hoped though that one day he too would be able to share those feelings with Kyung. "Actually first let me..." Huang reached out and hugged Jianyu tightly before clearing his throat."I gave Yue her gift from me and now, I have the other half for you." Huang reached into his sash and pulled out a bigger golden form of Yue's wolf. "I told this to Yue but, The wolves are animals that are known to have one mate for life." Huang held the figurine out in his hand, "I hope that you and Yue will live happy together." Huang smiled at his friend before looking down at the wedding outfits. "We should probably change now before they think we run away..." Huang thought that would be a good idea for himself after all, there was too many people.

Yue Lao's happiness only expanded exponentially with every new visitor. Chichi was tugging her back into the room, however, so she grabbed hold of whoever was nearby. "Come in, talk with me, I have to finish getting ready," she apologized. Yowai made sure that any stragglers were led into the room. Yue Lao waved at the Lunarian with the lemur as her mother slipped her dress on, fastening it. Chichi then tended to her hair, rebraiding it and fixing flowers to the top.

She also made sure to bow to Nivritti, though she did not know the Lunarian, before she was able to slip out of the room. "Thank you for the flowers," she called out, grinning. So many kindnesses, she was feeling rather overwhelmed by so much attention. She was used to doing things which got her some kind of attention, because her wild streak often made her stand out, but having so many give her gifts and wish her well was a new thing to her.

One person Yue did not see, and was sorry she apparently hadn't made ammends with, was Mei. She hoped that her once-friend was doing well, and mourned the loss briefly. But it was not a day to be sorry. She would celebrate the ones who loved her, whom she loved in return, even if not all of them were here. She wasn't aware Bataar was missing, just yet, as she assumed he would be with Jianyu. Where was her damn monkey, anyway?

Hime-san had circled around the stranger, leapt down into the inside chambers and sought out his master. He'd had enough adventure, and besides, he knew that Yue could take the stupid suit off. So that was where he ran, bursting into the room and immediately jumping at Yue to cling to her. She set him down, pursing her lips. "There you are, Hime-san. I wish you wouldn't disappear, you know, even if it does give me a few moments of peace." Yue sighed, and grinned at the monkey, patting her shoulder until he jumped back up.

Yue Lao spotted Van waving, and grinned. She looked different, didn't she? Older, but still just as beautiful. Both of her friends seemed more elegant than her, which hadn't bothered her, and probably never would. She was proud of them.

To Lestari, she thanked her thoroughly for the gift, and clasped the Lunarian on the shoulder. "See you out there, then! I certainly hope you do meet him, it's fun to try to embarass him; even though I never succeed," she said, laughing.

Before Kiran was able to leave, she accepted the painting quite happily, her smile threatening to split her face. She grabbed hold of Kiran, now in her wedding dress, and hugged him tightly. "Thank you, fiend. I'm glad we made it through everything. See you out there?"

Turning, having said goodbye to most of her guests, she heard someone's voice. It played a chord somewhere in her memory, the sound of it. When she saw who it was, she doubted herself for a moment. Although he had called her big sister, it wasn't a blood tie like Sakn; it was, instead, a bond which had been cemented in her childhood. A dear friend. "Takeo...? You grew up!" she exclaimed, as if that was new. Yue Lao tried to approach him, but her train made it a little difficult. "We need to talk, so you'd better not disappear again after the wedding...!"

Yowai and Chichi, happy that Yue had reunited with so many and seen all her dear friends, as well as collected everyone that belonged in her party, started to usher their daughter out into the halls once it was prudent.

"You have not been formally introduced, though I may have mentioned you a time or two to Rin.." The blush that had begun to fade brightened once again at her own admission, and then brighter still as Rin more thoroughly introduced himself. "Perhaps more then I'd like to admit," She murmured after, suddenly finding it difficult to look him in the eye, and instead dropped her gaze down to her toes. It didn't linger there though, and after only a brief second she'd lifted her head again to smile between the two boys before settling on Veryuu. He seemed to off put by Rin's arrival, though she supposed she couldn't blame him. She'd felt about the same the first time the flamboyant youth had approached her in his family's tea house. Overwhelming, that was her dear Rin.

The icy defense that had leaked into Veryuu's tone had slender fingers squeezing gently along his arm where she still gripped in. "He doesn't mean to imply you would, but recent events have left him terribly protective." And with good reason. The gentle smile she'd turned up to him sobered a touch, and she couldn't help the hand the lifted to smooth the pale rose of her hair along her cheek. A lingering habit from when her face had been bruised and, in her mind, disfigured.

She was happy for distraction away from herself, and offered the silvery-haired youth a rather stern smile at his admission. "I was worried over you." Her scolding was mostly in jest. She'd been as guilty as he when it'd come to maintaining any sense of contact. She would make certain there was at least the exchange of letters from here on out though.

The call to attendance had the young lady tensing, and when Veryuu offered her his arm she all but clutched at it. Shoulders creeping up as apprehension crawled within her mind. Despite her obvious dislike of the bride, Yue was the least of Shin-Mu's problems within the temple. "You are no burden, Veryuu Lian-Hyun," she said softly as she rose to her feet. "And if it not forward or unwanted, I would request to stay at your side through out the whole of this occasion." Her grip 'pon his elbow tightened, and she reached to her left to grope for Rin's had as well, tugging her friend close to her other side. "One or the both of you." There was the tiniest hint of desperation in her voice, but it was rather skillfully veiled.

Rin's attempt to pull a smile from the noble lass was actually successful, and the soft giggles that followed his scandalous whispers actually eased a bit of the tension from her shoulders. "You're terrible Rin, but I don't know what I'd do without you." She drew a deep breath, released it, and gave either of her escorts a tug towards the temple stairs. "We'd better go find ourselves some seats. Would be rude to walk in mid ceremony, I'd imagine." Oh, but terribly tempting. The girl had far better manners then that though.

Comforting figures to either side of her, Shin climbed made her way into the temple and through to the area the wedding would be taking place in. Begrudgingly admiring the effort that had been taken in decorating. She had to admit, if silently, that everything thus far looked quite beautiful.
