Masaraku finally looked at Shinzu and said, "Yeah, I don't want any of us to get in to deep." Then she added in, "Any areas that have been repeatedly hit? Or at least a direction where they have been typically coming from?" It was a small town, but she wanted to stop them before they could do any real damage to the people there.

Shinzu simply shrugged. "According to the mayor they come from all over, he believes they surround the village in fact. He also head they hit everyone, so no one is specificaly being targeted." He said as he hand began to gently caress his Fumi shuriken, a habit he had picked up recently. "I figured we'd just walk around the village as a show of good faith, and go to the area they attack first. Naturally that why I made sure to put Batsu at the higest area, so he could see them the moment they came into town." They effectively had three people to cover the whole village, as Andou was going to leave it to them tonight. So Shinzu came up with the best plan he could, a mobile defence.

Andou shrugged as the three genin got to work and headed back to the village, via a different route from Shinzu and Masaraku of course. Although he'd been thinking of ditching work altogether and trying food, his curiosity was piqued and there was something he wanted to check out.
Meanwhile, in the distance, coming from the north...
Three figures crept through the bushes, with nothing but a dim oil lantern guiding their way. They wove downhill through the foliage expertly having gone through these motions multiple times already. One of the stouter figures carried a large bag in addition to his supplies pack and the other 2 had weapons strapped to their backs.

Batsu continued to vigilantly scope the area. Everything seemed fine up until he heard rustling in the bushes. He looked over towards the sound of rustling thinking that it was just some kind of animal that lost its way. Boy, was he wrong. It turned out to be three shady looking characters spring out the vegetation. Batsu wasted no time notifying the others of the suspicious characters. The boy crouched down and adjusted his walkie-talkie to where he could speak.
Batsu whispered into the device so that he couldn't be heard. "Three characters came out of the bushes. Get your asses to the north side of town.. now!"
Batsu's head slowly rose up again so he could watch the bandits even more. Now he just had to wait until his teammates could get here.

Masaraku nodded, "Sounds good then." The kid had a pretty level head, which was refreshing to her. Hopefully it meant that he wouldn't need babysitting. "So which direction do -" She was cut off by the radio.
"Three characters came out of the bushes. Get your asses to the north side of town.. now!"
A wild smile spread across her face, "Wanna keep a tally on who downs the most creeps?" Her hand reached back and unsheathed her Samehadamaku, the elegant, blue scaled, nodachi, flexed and writhed at the excitement of its next meal. "Come on." She sprinted off towards the North, hoping to get to the village before the bandits did, then she posted up atop a house and waited.

"You're on." Shinzu said with a grin as they made thier way to the north end of the village. "Try not to kill them though, ok? We'll want to innterogate them if we can." Shinzu said as they reached the northern edge. "We have eyes on target Batsu, could you tie down the one with the larger pack on his back, while we handle the other two?" Shinzu said to Batsu through the radio, as he untied his Fuma Shuriken and extended it. Crouching now at the edge of another building Shinzu watched at the enemy approached. "Ok everyone on my command." He said in a quieter voice, as if the Bandits could actually hear him. His position was good as from his position, even would he stood up to attack, half his body was covered.

[No need for me to bother rolling against Shinzu's Stealth lol.] The party of 3 headed swiftly down the hill, unaware that they had been spotted and of the danger awaiting them. They had discussed their plan beforehand and so the atmosphere was tense and strained. To be honest all most of them wanted was to finish up the job and go home. Hokuto led the group, with his kama at the ready should they run into anybody. Hokuto d20 + wis 4 + Awareness 5 vs. 17 [Masaraku]

That was until the one at the end, Kuroda, noticed a flash of silver and then a shadow atop a nearby house. "Hokuto-" he warned, but was too late. Masaraku's attack took Hokuto by surprise. He jumped as she suddenly appeared before him and he tried to block her blow with his kama. However it was of no use; he was too slow. One blow from the nodachi and he was down. But Masaraku's attack had exposed her and the 2 remaining bandits took this time to analyse their unexpected enemy. Shinji snarled and drew his butterfly sword without a second thought. He brought it far out away from his body with one hand and sliced into Masaraku with all he had. There was something fishy about that big sword she was carrying - he knew Hokuto and he knew that the kid couldn't be felled by just one blow from that sword despite how strong the blow had been. It was almost like it had sucked out his energy... 1d20 9 + 11 Melee Attack + Butterfly sword bonus 2 = 22 2d20 9 + 6 Melee Attack + Butterfly sword bonus 2 = 17

Kuroda on the other hand moved backwards and pulled out his loaded blowgun. Bringing it to his puckered lips he aimed briefly and then blew hard. He focused intently on the one girl that Shinji was fighting - he didn't know if Shinji had noticed it, but even in the dim moonlight it was obvious that she had blue skin. The way she fought and held her weapon was not that of an ordinary civilian. There was no mistaking it - this person was a shinobi. And as a shinobi she would have her shinobi backup force. Kuroda decided to melt into the shadows and plan their next move. He was confident that Shinji could hold his own against the girl for now. Masaraku took two attacks from the man's butterfly swords, but a little bit of injury would not keep the Hoshigaki woman down. She looked him square in the eye and said, "I hope those two hits were worth it you ******** p***k. Because unlike your friend here you won't be getting up any time soon." She swung her nodachi down with all her might and buried it into the mans shoulder and neck. "If your still alive when I pull this blade out I would run back to your leaders and tell them that Daichi no longer welcomes your company." She doubted he would survive it though, and if he did he would bleed out before he could make it all the way back, but it would give her a scent to follow in the very least. She yanked the blade from his body, his blood squirted onto her uniform as she watched the scales of the blade tear into his flesh more than the wound had already caused.
------------------------------------------------------- Nat 20, critical hit. Wound Damage = -4 Hp per turn, Bleed damage -4 per turn due to Samehadamaku always causing bleed damage + Critical Bleed damage.

Batsu was definitely at an advantage. The boy was undetected by the bandits. The boy was ready to go though. He grabbed the bow from the strap around his body and grabbed an arrow from his carrier. Batsu quickly got his weapon ready to go and immediately went into the woods slowly so as he wouldn't make a sound. Once he did so, he ran up a fairly large-sized tree and roosted on a branch... ready to strike. He knew he wouldn't be much help though. His bow and arrow could only do so much.
