Coming to stand behind the ghost, Dimitri towered over her childish frame. "Leaving so soon? You may wish to consider the contract you have signed." With a slight flick of his wrist, a piece of tarnished paper appeared in his hand. The demon unfurled this and pointed to a scribbled name written at the bottom. Quickly as the document had appeared, it vanished. "I do hate bringing bad news, but these contracts are more binding than you wish to know." Tipping his hat to the man, he smiled. "However, I am willing to negotiate for a price."

Fayt silently nodded to Ilyia as he placed his hands at a distance apart from each other. Slowly materializing, a set of Ethereal strings appeared.
"These are known as the Strings of Fate.. No doubt you have heard of them." he said, continuing.
"Your threads are ethereal because you are not truly a living being, but a projection of some other living creature, if I am not mistaken."

Ilyia nodded slightly, watching the strings with intrigue. "To an extent, yes," She admitted, "though I must admit I hardly find that grounds to consider myself any less alive." She looked to her hands for a moment before dropping them to her sides once again, slightly confused. "Although, please do go on."

Drawing his hands farther apart from each other, the string extended out, only to reveal a blackened extension over the thread near the end.
"It seems you will be engulfed in the Darkness that is shortly arising. Quite interesting, as the Darkness is already consuming everything in the land already."

"EEP!" Okiku jumped at Dimitri's sudden appearance, quickly dashing to hide behind the painted fortune teller's sign. She peeked cautiously from behind it, frowning at the piece of paper that he held. As soon as it disappeared, she stuck out her tongue at him.

Ilyia remained motionless for a long moment, though after a time she nodded slowly. "Th-thank you, Fayt..." She turned to leave, though she paused at the opening to the pavilion, turning to regard him one more time. "Might I ask where my blade is?"

Fayt waved his hand nonchalantly towards the exit.
"As you leave, it shall be returned to you.."

Ilyia nodded again, still worried for her foreseen demise, though as she left she was in fact relieved to see it reform in her sheath. She looked back for a moment, and with merely a shrug and an inward resolution to dismiss inevitability, kept on walking.
