Holiday decorating
Del hummed "let it snow" as she pranced about a small pine tree that had taken up the corner of her and Echo's room. She had wanted her own personal to decorate for Christmas to keep presents under. Having one in the main lobby of the ghost of the past headquarters would invite disaster considering how many babies tended to crawl around it.
Her father had agreed to get her and Kishi each a small real tree as long as she promised to water it and clean up it's needles each day. She'd promised to do so and now she had her tree. A real live tree that was just begging to be decorated. To go from being a bland but pleasant smelling decoration to the centerpiece of her room.
Now she and Echo were circling the tree and placing decorations on it. She'd had a bit of help from her father putting on the lights but everything else was her and Echo's choosing of where it went. A few sugar cookies baked by Kishi went up, Echo would probably steal them before the holidays but at least they'd look good until then.
Echo was content to carry a basket of decorations for Del to pick out of. He got to help choose what went where but he had no desire to attempt to place anything on the tree. His weight even this young would knock the thing over.
After a very long and half fun half stressfull hour of putting on lights, cookies, balls and other decorations Del and Echo stepped away from their tree content. "It's perfect"
